i'm cold

i was laying in bed, wearing a hoodie, under about three or so blankets and not to mention the duvet but i was somehow still cold. how ? good question... i don't know it was just one of those days where nothing you do can seem to shield you from the freeze
yes the window was still open which probably didn't help but if i moved it'd be colder, right ? or maybe it was because i was too lazy to move from the cocoon of blankets i had incased myself in...
i would have asked scarlett to cuddle up with me but she had been doing work in her office most the day and i didn't want to stress her out just because i was a little bit chilly
after a while of repositioning blackest and duvets i decided if i just put them over my head i could incase the warmth like a tent. i was somewhat right but i still had goosebumps and was still shaking from the cold
so, me under the duvets playing cats and soup on my phone passed a decent amount of time
so much in fact i heard the door open and close meaning scarlett had entered the room
"it's freezing in here, jeez" she spoke as the window latch clicked meaning she closed it
"bubs ?" i felt her pulling at the blankets causing me to hold onto them tighter
"don't. you. dare"
"you're going to sweat under all these fluffy blankets" i could practically hear the pout in her voice but i was going to stay strong and... ignore the facts
"right... if you're not going to come out i'm gonna come in"

anyways of course i wasn't going to leave the safety of my heat dome, she was going to have to enter my domain
after a shit ton of shuffling she was finally laying next to me on her side, under all the layers
"see i'm already sweating" she punched the ceiling of the duvet tent pulling the edges of the blanket out from under my head and causing the cold air to rush in and me whine
"let me be your blanket ?" my girlfriend offered and i'd be one hell of an idiot to decline the offer
snuggling into her embrace my body instantly warmed. one of scarletts hands were placed on my head bringing me closer as the other found my hand to intertwine our fingers along with our legs
she was quite literally surrounding me in heat like a blanket
"you're a very warm blanket" i mumbled into the neck, sighing in content. she brought the duvet back over us
"we should do this more often, you're snuggly" she whispered in-between kisses across my hairline
and after burying her face in my hair that's how we stayed, being as close to one another as possible
