Yelena found you by the Quinjet as it took off,
"She will be back before we know it" she said coming to stand beside you, and the jet disappeared in the distance. You turned to face her, nodding your head.
"Ready to train?" she asked, you looked down at your pyjamas,
"I'm not changed"
"Well hurry up" and with that you took off flying towards your bedroom window, much quicker than walking you thought, you quickly got changed into your new work out gear, before flying back out the way you came,
"You know how dangerous I would be if I could do that" Yelena said as you landed beside her, you didn't even want to think about the threat Yelena or Nat would be if they had your power, they were already pretty fucking dangerous,
"You can't have everything I suppose" you said making your way over to the outdoor training grounds, you knew Yelena preferred to train outside,
"Are we not training inside?" she questioned,
"Well, you never train inside, so I just assumed" you said back,
"You always train inside, so I just assumed" she laughed,
"Guess when you assume it does make an ass out of 'u' and me" you said, Yelena then bursts out with this loud laugh that was quite cute,
"I never heard that before, you are a funny one Y/n" you didn't know how to respond, not thinking you were that funny, but Yelena usually laughed at you, so you take this win,
"Why don't you ever train inside?" you question, she slowly throws punches at you while you show her your form when blocking, running those kinds of drills while you talked.
Yelena didn't like training inside because she had been inside most of her life, locked away in the red room, she didn't usually tell people this, but Nat had told her that she had told you about the red room. You understood what she meant, wanting to be outside, she liked going on missions because on occasion she would have to blend into normal life for weeks at a time, fooling herself that she was normal, but when Dreykov wanted someone dead, she would have to carry it out, no matter the internal battle in her head. You couldn't imagine a life, where you are aware of the horrific things you are doing with no way to stop them. She told you that the programme wasn't in place when Nat arrived, she had undergone a different kind of control.
"She told me you tried to kill her when you first met"
"I did not try to kill her; I was simply defending myself"
"Why? She is your sister?"
"She also deflected to S.H.I.E.L.D. and became an Avenger, I didn't know if she was sent to kill me or not... plus even if I did get a few hits in, I was angry at her, I thought she left me there"
"That makes sense, she didn't though"
"I know that now"
It was around 7.30am and you were both starving, you headed up to the kitchen, and of course Wanda was already up and making food, you gratefully took a plate, she looked like she hadn't slept, and you gave her a concerned look, but she just smiled back at you. Mostly you sat in silence until Yelena told you that you were going to work on form, and headed downstairs, you followed close after her.

You finish up training with Yelena in time for lunch, you stopped it early so you could go up and help Wanda. She was surprised to see you,
"You're here early"
"I wanted to come and help, no offence but you do look a little tired" you said, taking the knife away from here and taking over the chopping,
"I didn't sleep well last night"
"Why?"
"I was worried about you Y/n" she admitted, you forgot about the screaming last night, and you felt guilty that you were the reason she hadn't slept, you told her to go sit down and to instruct you on how to finish cooking, she thanked you as you plated it up, bringing her over some, everyone else came in grabbing a plate to sit down for lunch.
"It looks lovely, thanks Wanda"
"Actually –" you cut her off to thank her as well, at the end of the day she was the one that made it you just followed instructions, she smiled at you from the sofa. After everyone was done you brought the plates over to the dishwasher. After you finished tidying up, you sat down beside Wanda who was still on the couch,
"Want to skip training today?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, we are long overdue for a movie day I reckon" you said, grabbing the TV remote to hand it to her, she hesitated,
"Wanda, come on, I have a good handle on things, and I don't want to you know... burn out?" you say trying to make her laugh, which is does, she also tells you that your jokes are corny, you laugh at her while you grab a blanket and put it over you both,
"You are the last person that needs a blanket"
"I still like to be cosy Wanda" she gets comfy beside you and flicks through Tony's extensive movie collection, she settles on a movie and you both switch off from the world until its over,
"That was good" you say to Wanda who had fallen asleep, you try not to wake her up and decide to flick through your phone, aimlessly scrolling through TikTok, sometimes you forgot the Avengers were all celebrities because you lived with them, but it doesn't take long for you to be reminded when you see the thirst tweets and videos.
It was about this time when your family's messages regarding your suit had came through,

You laugh at the exchange, noticing you have been on your phone for a while, it was almost dinner and Wanda was still fast asleep. You pulled up Uber eats on your phone and decided to order in tonight, give Wanda the night off plus, pizza sounds pretty good.
When the pizza is almost here, you decide to head down to the reception, getting up from the sofa causes Wanda to wake up,
"Did I fall asleep?"
"You did"
"Where are you going?"
"To get dinner"
"What time is it"
"6pm"
You see Wanda's eyes go wide at the time, you laugh and tell her it's all good, that you have dinner covered. You let her know you have ordered in pizza, so she is off the hook, she gets up to come down with you,
"Why do you cook every night anyway?"
"I like cooking"
"I mean you can love cooking, but I don't think people like to cook all day"
While you are heading to the reception, she tells you that she first started cooking it allowed the team to get to know her more, and in turn gain their trust, she felt that after Lagos, she needed to get that back again, you tell her that the team do trust her, and that she definitely doesn't need to cook every night. She also said it's a way to pass the time, because she is stuck in the house all day.
"Did you order Pizza?" One of the guards at the door asks you,
"I did"
"Oh, I turned him away, assumed he was just trying to get a peak at the compound" you roll your eyes at the guard knowing you are going to have to chase down the car, you switch to your thermal vision and you see the car through the thick trees, you could also see the pizza in the backseat, smiling at your new powers, the car started driving off so you fly and stop just a head of the car, causing the driver to slam on the breaks, you quickly duck your head, and put your hand up to say sorry,
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" you said as you approached the driver,
"Y/n Y/l/n I assume"
"Yeah, sorry about the guards"
"Can I get a selfie?" you laugh at him, and realise he is serious,
"Oh, um yeah... I guess" he quickly takes out his phone, and angles it at both of you, you smile and throw up a peace sign, lighting it on fire, he thanks you, handing you the pizza, you quickly take it and fly off back to the compound. Everyone seems excited about the pizza, Tony took you over to the side and tells you to put it on his card next time handing you an emergency credit card,
"So, pizza is an emergency?"
"No, but I won't complain if that's what you use the card for" he said as he grabbed a slice, and heading back over to everyone.
After dinner, everyone heads off to do their own thing, but Wanda asks if you wanted to continue watching movies, you nodded your head and got back into the same positions you had been for the majority of the day.

The next morning you awaken from the sun beaming in through the windows, and when you check your phone you see it's 6am, you also have a text from Yelena.

Going to train at 8am this morning, I have something I need to do

You see her text came through at 5.30am, you shake your head before setting an alarm so you can sleep for another 30 minutes. When you are woken up again, you see Wanda start to wake up, you quickly shut off your alarm, and you see her slowly start to fall asleep again. Cute.
You decide to put some bacon in the oven, and whisk up some eggs, you head up to your room while the bacon is cooking, brushing your teeth, and getting ready for the day. When you come back downstairs you see Wanda was still asleep, so you continue cooking. She eventually wakes up, and you bring her over some tea and then the breakfast you had made, leaving before everyone else got up.

During training, Yelena let you hit her while she countered, Yelena was very good, everything she did was like Natasha, it made sense since they were trained by the same people. When you took a break, you quickly checked your phone to see if Nat had got back to you, but you hadn't heard anything yet. You assumed it was either jet lag or catching up with Sam and Steve, probably a lot to catch up on.
"Have you heard from Nat?" she questioned, you laughed,
"No, I was literally just checking" you blushed,
"Weird... thought I would have heard from her by now"
"Shouldn't Vision be back by now" you say confused, knowing Nat was heading to replace him,
"I've got a bad feeling Y/n" you wished Yelena hadn't said that, you too felt something was off, that she hadn't contacted anyone, you both decided to head up to the lab to see if Tony had heard anything.
"To what do I owe the displeasure?" Tony says as you both walk into the room,
"We just haven't heard anything from Nat, wanted to see if you had heard anything" Tony quickly turns to bring up her location,
"I haven't heard anything, but her Jet landed in Berlin safely" he said showing you both the tracker on the jet,
"Then why isn't Vision back?" you question, Tony shares a look with Bruce, they both pull up his location, showing he is still in Berlin.
"Friday, get Steve on comms" Bruce decides to pull up another tracker,
"What is that?" Yelena asks,
"Nat's tracker"
"I thought she didn't have one"
"Tony put one on the replacement phone he gave her" you see Bruce furrow his eyebrows,
"What's wrong?"
"It says shes's upstairs" he said confused, you didn't give it a second thought, sprinting up to Nat's room, Yelena following close behind, you rush past Wanda, and burst into the room, but she isn't there, you check the bathroom while Yelena makes her way over to the bedside, holding a small piece of metal and a note that said "Nice try Tony".
"shit"
You both head back to the lab, Yelena gives the note to Tony and Bruce,
"Why doesn't she want a tracker?" you question,
"Nat is a deeply paranoid person" Wanda says from the corner of the room,
"Do I have one?" you ask Tony, Tony lets you know that you have one in the tech in your suit, you ask if they had gotten through to Steve and Sam but he shook his head. Bruce tries to get a signal through to Vision instead, while Tony pulls up Nat's flight path,
"It says she stopped off in Russia... why would she go there" Tony asks, you share a look with Yelena, knowing that she must have went to visit Melina, both not sure as to why.
You all stop when you hear Vision coming through on comms,
"Dr. Banner, is everything alright?" he asks,
"Is Nat with you?" Yelena asks outright,
"She hasn't arrived yet, judging by the concern, I assume she should have arrived"
"Yes, but please don't tell Steve and Sam, we need you to focus on finding Bucky" Tony says, hanging up the phone, you look at him confused, you know we need to find Bucky, but at least there's photos of him alive, plus, Steve should know about Nat, just when you are about to speak up, Tony beats you to it,
"Let's go"
"Where?"
"Just outside of St. Petersburg" he said, Bruce also made a move, to suggest he was going as well, Tony gave him a look,
"It's Nat" he said collecting some of his stuff, Wanda didn't make a move to go, and Tony stood in front of where she was sitting,
"You not coming Maximoff?" he said folding his arms, you saw Wanda quickly look up, and she stood up immediately, getting ready to go, you smiled at her, she returned it while heading off, you were about to follow suit when Tony blocked you from the door,
"Move"
"Best you sit out of this one kid"
"But Tony, what about Nat" you were frustrated, knowing where this was heading,
"You aren't ready, next time... plus we need someone here too" he said leaving you standing alone in the lab, Yelena had already rushed out, Bruce lingered in the hallway,
"Hey Y/n, try not to let this get to you, believe me, better you are ready" he said, you knew he hurt about the things he did while not in control, and deep down you knew they were looking out for you, the other side of you was seeing red, that you weren't able to make sure Nat was okay. You controlled how you felt though, not letting it burn you up, instead remembering the techniques you and Wanda used to control the fiery energy inside. Bruce smiled at you as he left for the others.
You walked out with the team as they headed for the other jet, Yelena and Wanda both giving you a hug before they left.
"Please be safe, and bring her home"
"Won't come back without her Y/n" Wanda said smiling,
"Plus, Yelena won't let us until we do" Tony added,
"Might want to back up" Tony said as he closed the door.
You watched at they all headed off, turning around to look at the big empty Compound, I mean there were agents and staff roaming around, but empty to you. The cold wind slowly started to pick up, a bitterness to it that reminded you of your home, nothing more bitter than the Irish wind. You folded your arms, and slightly increased your body temperature as you made your way to the quarry. Knowing you couldn't do much, you dangled your legs off the edge and let your mind wonder.
A little while later, you are taken out of your thoughts by a text,

Fucking great, of course the team leaves as soon as this happens, and then it clicks, the team were meant to leave, you were supposed to be the one going and only you. You didn't know when the team would be coming back, so you left a note on your desk with the address you were heading too. You got changed sporting all black, you looked at yourself in the mirror, you looked like you were going to rob a bank. You decided to pack your suit in your backpack, remembering Tony told you it had a tracker.
You put in your contact lenses, they didn't really do anything without the suit, but they might come in handy. You hadn't given much thought as to what would happen once you got to the location, is this a ransom, kidnapping or something else, one thing you were glad of is the fire that coursed through your veins.
You take a deep breath and leave your bedroom, you debated whether or not you should drive or get one of the agents, you looked at the rain outside the window, and decided to drive yourself, you didn't fancy walking from wherever the agent would have to drop you off. You also knew that you didn't have a car yet, and so, you made your way to Natasha's bedroom, you tried to find her keys but were unsuccessful, come on Natasha, where are you hiding them.
"Friday, where are Natasha's keys"
"Sorry Miss Y/ln, I'm afraid that is not in my database"
"Friday, she could be in trouble... please"
"I have noticed that Miss Romanoff spends a lot of time in the bathroom, hours at a time"
You assume she means that there is something more in the bathroom, so you enter it, you touch over all the walls looking for a door or something, but nothing, you entered the shower, and tried to find something there, you were touching the walls when one felt hollow, tried to open it, and it slid across, you were met with a retinal scanner and keypad... Nat really is paranoid, but then again, here you are trying to break into a room that is clearly hidden for a reason.
You decide against invading her privacy, defeated you decide to ask one of the agents to drive you. You sneak out of Natasha's room and close the door quietly, you know the team isn't here but it felt needed,
"What are you doing?"
You jump, turning around,
"Jesus christ Peter" he laughs at your response
"Why were you in Nat's room?"
"You know she is missing right?"
"No? no one tells me anything" Peter says frustrated,
"Listen Peter, I need you to stay here tonight and look after the compound"
"Where are you going?" he asks,
"Out"
"Out where?"
"I just need to get some space" you say hoping that will be enough,
"are you sure you don't want company?" he asks, following you as you walk down the stairs, you are getting really annoyed really easily,
"I'm sure Peter"
"But what if something happens and you need help" he said trying to reason with you, you head over to one of the agents,
"I'll go with one of the agents, I'll be fine" he is about to say something else, but you cut him off,
"What part of space don't you get Peter?" you see hurt in his eyes, you feel guilty but you didn't want him to get hurt or something to happen to Nat if you both showed up, he turns to walk away but points at your eyes before heading off, head hanging low, you looked in the reflection of the glass and saw the red in your eyes, you quickly shut them trying to get them back to normal,
"Did you need something Y/n?" one of the male agents at the door asked, you open your eyes again, looking for Peter but he wasn't in sight, you turn back to the agent holding your forehead before running it through your hair,
"Em yes, can you drop me off here?"
"Not a problem" you send him the coordinates about half a mile from the meeting location, he takes the backpack off your back, and guides you over to the car. He tries to make small talk during the car journey, but as much as you wanted to engage, you mind was elsewhere. When he gets to the location, he looks at you in the mirror,
"Are you sure this is the right area?"
"Yeah, it's perfect... thanks again" You leave your phone in the back of the car, getting your backpack from the boot. The agent drives off and you put up your hood and walk towards the address. The rain slowly dies down as you approach the building, underneath a small overpass, the street is poorly lit, but you can still see the boarded-up and rust covered windows around the old factory building. You approach the steel door at the front but it is locked, obviously, you head round the side of the building and see a window boarded up with wood, you turn your hand into flames and blast it at the wood, you accidentally take out the entire window, you jump onto the rust railing to the side of the window and enter through the hole in the wall.
