Shaurya slowly tried to flutter open his eyes as morining rays hit his face..
He was feeling a bit uneasy as he tried to get up but the next moment his gaze fell upon a bowl and medicines on side table and sat up straight with a jerk remembering last night's happenings...
"Anokhi.." was only whisper that left his lips..
Shaurya- Woh yahi thi...par kab tak?? Aur yeh sab...
He then hurriedly checked his phone for time..
Shaurya- Aur main itni der tak so raha tha..
Kartik- Finally tune uthne ka plan kar liya..
He said while moving towards him..
Shaurya- Tu yahi tha??
Kartik- Haa ek call aaya tha toh balcony mein tha...but tu thik hai ab??
He said while settling on the couch beside the bed..
Shaurya- Tujhe kissne bataya...aur mujhe kuch nahi hua hai...jagaya kyun nahi mujhe..we had meet na..bhool gaya kya?
Kartik- Ho gaya..bolne dega?
Abhi ke liye...there's nothing...it's postponed..rahi baat tujhe jagaane ki...toh Dekh tujhe jagakar bhi koi faayda tha nahi...dawaai lekar sahi se aaram kar raha tha toh kitna bhi utha leta phir bhi tu uthta toh nahi...
Shaurya kept staring him as he contemplated on what he just said..
Kartik- Aise ghoor mat...mujhe toh Anokhi ne bata diya tha ki tu thik nahi hai bass... main aur kuch puchhu usse pehle usse kahi jaana tha...toh aur kuch puchh hi nahi paaya..
Shaurya- Whatt? Ussne bataya...kab?
Kartik- Abhi subah...tabhi toh main yaha aaya tha...par ab tu mujhe bata ki ussko kaise pata tha?? Hua kya tha?
He said as Shaurya looked away remembering about last night's happenings...
Kartik all over predicted all of it as he smiled and went towards the bedside table while Shaurya was still lost in his thoughts..
Kartik- Ohkk toh ussne hi di thi medicines wagere right...aur yeh..
Shaurya- Kissne bola? Woh toh..
Kartik- Achha...thik hai maan liya..davai tune li hogi...phir yeh kya hai..yeh bhi tune kiya?
Shaurya- Haa woh...
Kartik- Haa bol...kuch na kuch bana liya hoga na dimaag mein..
Shaurya went silent to that as he looked away..while Kartik sat infront of him..
Kartik- Tujhe bolne mein kya jaa raha hai..
Shaurya- Kyunki abhi pehle jaisa kuch nahi raha hai..
Kartik- Ohh really! Toh tu pyaar nahi karta ab?
Shaurya- Ofcourse karta hoon..
He blurted out while Kartik smirked at him..
Kartik- Toh problem...
Shaurya- Baat meri nahi hai..usski hai..aur mujhe nahi lagta ki woh ab..
Kartik- Nahi..tu..
Shaurya- No...pata nahi kya tujhe...dikhta nahi..she tries to ignore me everytime...
Kartik- Kyunki woh affect hoti hai tujhse.. abhi bhi...
Shaurya- What?? No!!
Kartik- Achha...agar woh affect nahi hoti toh raat mein tujhe forcefully yeh davai dene nahi aati...
agar woh sach mein tujhe ignore karna chahti thi toh aadhi raat tak yaha baithkar yeh..yeh patti nahi karti.....aadhi raat ko tera bukhar utarne tak yaha nahi rukti..
He said as Shaurya's eyes brimmed with tears thinking about her..
Kartik- Aur haa...tujhe kya lagta hai..ki thode time ke liye alag ho jayenge toh bhool jayenge sab...pyaar bhi khatam..right?
You are greatly mistaken...tu bhool paaya usse?? Ofcourse not.
But instead, jitne time ke liye door rahega na tu usse utna aur pyaar badhne wala hai...distance se pyaar badhta hai..kam nahi hota..
Shaurya was spellbound, no words could describe what he was feeling by then...
Even he had bottled up so many things in these days and was just struggling with all alone...
He didn't know what all happened to him in past few days when she was there...he wasn't able to think straight...yes, he knew that he loves her But...so many ifs and buts were there..
Yess...He himself decided to create distance between thinking of it as a solution not knowing the consequences...but still did it as he was just looking for the best for her..
This was his only intention..but he never knew that things would turn into this..
At first when he encountered her again, he was determined to be away from her as he had to do that but his heart was the culprit there, it wasn't supporting him at any point..
But in this time he got to know that she was just masking her feelings which she had earlier also and now also just not showing them up..
Kartik- Mujhe tera reason bhi samajh raha hai...but maine tujhe bola tha kabhi na kabhi ussko toh pata chalega...you can't keep her in dark..
Shaurya instantly turned to look at him confused..
Shaurya- Matlab kya hai? Tujhe kuch pata chala hai?
Kartik- Haa matlab itna ki woh aadmi Anokhi ko reach out karne ki koshish kar raha hai...as i said woh door nahi rahega unse...woh phirse unki life mein ghusne ki koshish karega...
Shaurya- I can't let it happen...tujhe aur kuch bhi pata nahi chala kya...woh jo ek...
Kartik- Yaa...woh jo ek aadmi pakda gaya tha woh mil gaya hai...bass usse information nikalwani hai..aur agar woh bole toh shayad kaam ho jaye..
Shaurya- Itni aasaani se toh bolega nahi..
Kartik- Point woh nahi hai...isse sirf uss raat ki baat prove hogi agar ussne bol diya toh...par baaki jo bhi ussne kiya woh sab..
Shaurya- I know...but atleast itna ho jaaye toh bhi hume kuch toh aage ka clue mil hi jaayega..
Kartik- Tu abhi bhi usse kuch batana nahi chahta??
Shaurya- Kartik aisa nahi hai...haa mujhe pata hai...par yeh sab..sab bohat messed up ho chuka hai...ab mujhe nahi pata kaise...
Kartik- Haa pata hai...par tujhe atleast usse iss baare mein toh baat karni hogi ki usse koi pareshan toh nahi kar raha hai..like through calls or anything...like i said..
Shaurya- Woh kuch bhi kar sakta hai...i know...tabhi toh yeh sab kiya tha...aur phirse usse kuch karne ka chance nahi de sakta...i can't let that person near her..
Kartik- Exactly...tu..tu baat kar shayad hame kuch clue bhi mil jaaye...tab tak main aur kuch info nikalne ki koshish karta hu..
Shaurya just nodded thinking about the same..

Shaurya- Just pick up the phone!! Kahaan ho tum...
He thought while trying her phone for nth time..
He then got worried because of that..
He even decided to call Anvay to get any info about her but to his disappointment even his phone was not reachable since morning..
He was growing restless as the time was passing by...as his mind clouded with many weird thoughts but still he tried to keep all of them away..
He finally was able to call Anvay around afternoon...
Shaurya- Anvay tum phone kyun nahi utha rahe the...i was trying since long..
Anvay- I am sorry...main aaj hotel mein toh tha nahi...par hua kya hai??
Shaurya- Haa actually, woh tumhe pata hai Anokhi kaha hai??
Woh...I...I mean kuch kaam tha mujhe usse...
Anvay- No actually subah usse baat huyi thi...when she got some call aur woh apne room mein chali gyi thi...usske baad i tried to call her many times par usska kuch response hi nahi aaya...
Shaurya- Matlab? Aise kaise...you should have tried to contact her...
Anvay- Haa i know...baad mein usska msg aaya tha ki ussko kuch aur kaam hai toh woh mere saath nahi aayegi...aur phir mujhe jaana tha...so..
Shaurya- Achha, do you know anything ki woh kaha hai..kuch bhi??
Anvay- Not really, maybe event ki prep ke liye kuch kaam hoga usse..i said usse ek call aaya tha toh..
Shaurya- Ohh ok.
He said while hanging up the phone as his mind again went to her thoughts..
Shaurya- Aisa bhi kya hua hai ki phone bhi nahi utha sakti..
Though he was then caught up with some work but he was just physically there, mentally he wasn't.. He was hell worried about her continuously thinking about her only and she was nowhere to be seen..
Kartik tried to console him but he wasn't ready to think straight..

It was around evening when Shaurya came towards the restaurant area while his mind was occupied completely with her thoughts..
He just moved in when his gaze fell upon her and he paused..
She was there with Anvay and some other girl was also there with them, he didn't know and actually didn't even care about it..
He wanted to talk to Anokhi from so long... she was avoiding his calls, everything...

Anvay- Anokhi tu thi kaha subah se?? Aise kaun gayab ho jaata hai?
Anokhi- Nothing, it's just.. kuch kaam tha..
She said while looking away trying to change the topic..
Anvay- Haa aur tune calls nhi uthaye phir Shaurya ne mujhe calls karke pareshan kiya..
She immediately looked at him in surprise as she heard his name..
Anvay- What? Aise kyun dekh rahi ho? Don't tell me tune call back nhi...
Anokhi- Anvay...i..need to go..main...
She said while cutting him in middle and hurriedly turned to leave from there while he looked at her confused..

Here, Shaurya at first decided to move towards them but then he saw her all lost moving out from there but he could comprehend from her face that she wasn't okay..
She was moved towards the coridoor only to clash with him while he held upon her shoulders and she looked at him stunned..
He saw her eyes moist while she kept looking at him , as if trying to convey something through eyes..
Shaurya- Anokhi, tum thik ho? Matlab tum..
She instantly got back to reality and distanced herself from him while looking onto other side..
He was still gazing at her when she turned to leave without even glancing at him..
Shaurya- Anokhi..
He called her out But she didn't stop and kept moving until he got a grip upon her wrist..
She closed her eyes while taking a deep breath..
Anokhi- Shaurya... mera haath..
She said while turning to look at him..
Shaurya- Mujhe baat karni hai..
Anokhi- Par mujhe nahi karni..please tum..
But he didn't let her complete and pulled her towards one corner where there was no one before caging her between his arms..
She gasped in surprise looking at him with eyes widened..
Shaurya- I just want to talk once...
He said in a pleading voice while she kept gazing into his eyes..
She just couldn't look away..
Shaurya- Ignore kyun kar rahi ho mujhe..
She just looked away while his gaze was fixed upon her face..
Anokhi- Shaurya, please mujhe..
Shaurya- Pehle batao mujhe..aisa kya ho gaya?
She was trying to wriggle out of his hold but of no use as it tightened further..
Anokhi- What?? Kya batau? Aur kyun batau??
Shaurya- Yahi ki ignore kyun kar rahi thi...calls kyun nahi utha rahi thi...just..
Anokhi- Mujhe kaam tha..okay..and its none of your concern..so please..
She tried to push him but instead he pushed her back..
Shaurya- Ohh really! Toh ek call uthake yeh baat bata sakti thi tum? Yaa phir message karke bhi..
Anokhi- Nahi pata mujhe kuch bhi...Ab aur kya bacha hai kehne ke liye...mujhe bass itna pata hai ki its all over...aur main yeh sab tumhe kyun bata rahi hu..even you don't care, right?
He opened his mouth to say something but could not form any words..
Anokhi- Nahi hai na kuch kehne ke liye...so please mujhe..
She said while again trying to move but of no use before him..
Shaurya- So you don't care, right?
She just looked away trying to hide tears brimmed in her eyes..
Shaurya- You don't care tabhi toh tum kal aadhi raat tak mere room mein thi...aur tab tak nhi gyi jab tak tum sure nahi thi ki main thik hu because you don't care, right?
Anokhi- Woh main kisike liye bhi karti...tum..tumhari tabyat thik nahi thi bass and i was just trying to help..
Shaurya- Kisike liye bhi?
He said while pulling her closer and the sudden movement caused their noses brush against each other..
Both were gazing each other while their breathe mingled..
Shaurya- Tumhe koi farq nahi padta, hain na?
She was getting lost into their proximity but still tried to compose herself...
Anokhi- Haa..nahi padta farq..kuch affect nahi karta...so please..
She said while pushing him to create distance between them and then looked away...
Shaurya was still staring her when she turned to leave from there while he stood there numb..
He smiled sarcastically at himself as earlier he was the one who denied anything between them and now she was doing the same with him..
