Sunday, 4:21pm
Haechan panicked as he looked through his clothes trying to find the perfect outfit. Suddenly he heard his mother's voice call out to him.
"DONGHYUCK, JAEMIN IS HERE!!" She yelled from downstairs.
"ALRIGHT, JUST COME HERE JAEMIN!!" Haechan said from his room.
After he got no reply in return he continued to look through his clothes as he heard his room door open and close. He heard footsteps approach him so he stopped and turned around seeing Jaemin standing there smirking at him.
"So Diana is finally going on a date with the boy he's been dreaming about." He said.
"Oh shut up." Haechan said grabbing a random scarf and threw it at him.
Jaemin laughed as he caught the scarf. "What? It's true. Your panicking while trying to find an outfit, which you never do unless your going on a date which you are right now." He said going over and sitting down next to him.
Haechan huffed, "Ok maybe I am, maybe I'm not but.." He said.
"But? Your nervous something might happen, huh?" Jaemin said and Haechan nodded.
"What if.. he doesn't show up? Or what if he was just kidding and actually didn't want to go on a date with me? I'll just look stupid for believing that. What if he ditches me and already has a date planned with Cameron and he's going to show up and I'll be made fun of." Haechan rambled on with different sorts of possibilities.
Jaemin sighed and gently cupped his best friend's face making him quiet down and look at him. "Don't think about those what if's because they aren't true. That's just your paranoia talking. Believe me, I'm happy you hadn't listened to me and actually stayed out of their relationship because now your able to go on a date with the boy you've been crushing on for so long now. Mark hyung wouldn't do that to you and you know it, just calm down and trust yourself. Your date is going to go well, I know it. You might even get a goodbye kiss if your lucky enough." He said and winked at the end.
Haechan giggled and playfully slapped his arm, "Shut up." He said, Jaemin let go of his face and brought him into a hug.
"Would you believe me if I said he wasn't anything like the last jerk you dated?" Jaemin said.
"I believe you whole heartedly, I'm just still a bit nervous." Haechan said. They both let go and looked at each other.
"That's completely fine, everyone gets a bit nervous before a date," Jaemin said smiling. "But, if anything does go wrong do not hesitate to call me or one of the hyungs alright?"
Haechan nodded, "I won't." He said.
"Great! Now let's get you ready for your date with Mark hyung." Jaemin said smirking and winked at him. Again.
Haechan blushed at the mention of Mark's name, "Alright." He said.
They both began looking through his clothes trying to put some things together to create the perfect outfit for his date.
After about 15 minutes of looking through Haechan's clothes they finally decided on an outfit. They both stood up and walked out of the closet, Jaemin went and sat down on the bed while Haechan went to the bathroom going inside and closing the door after himself so he would be able to get dressed. He came out after a few minutes dressed, he had on; a baby blue sweater, black shorts, fishnet stockings, an ankle bracelet, and a heart necklace to top it all off.
"You look absolutely amazing Diana." Jaemin said as he looked Haechan over from head to toe once more.
Haechan smiled at his best friend. "Thanks Janet."
Jaemin smirked, "Now, let's see if Mark hyung is ready for the date." He said grabbing his phone that was in his back pocket and unlocked it.
He went to the group chat with everyone and joined it.
2:17pm

Jaemin turned his phone off and looked over at his best friend with a smirk on his face. Haechan gave him a questionable look but didn't bother asking about anything since all that was on his mind was that he was about to go on a date with Mark. The same boy he's been obsessing over from afar is about to go on a date with him.
"Ok I'm nervous.." Haechan mumbled loud enough for his blue-haired best friend to hear as he looked down at his shaking hands.
Jaemin's face softened as he grabbed Haechan's hands in his making the older boy look over at him. "Donghyuck listen to me. Everything is going to be alright, don't worry about it. Mark hyung is a good guy, he won't do anything that'll hurt you, well at least not on purpose. Anyways, just calm down, you got this. Remember, if anything goes wrong do not hesitate to call me or one of the other hyung's, alright?" Jaemin reassured him.
Haechan closed his eyes as he took a deep breath and exhaled then re-opened and smiled after he seen Jaemin smiling back at him. "Thanks Janet. Your the best." He said the smile on his face not once dropping.
"Of course Diana, I'm always here for you." Jaemin said happy that he was able to help his best friend calm down a bit.
They were suddenly interrupted by Haechan's mother yelling out to him. "DONGHYUCK SWEETIE! SOMEONE'S WAITING FOR YOU DOWNSTAIRS!!"
Haechan's eyes widened after hearing that, meanwhile Jaemin smirked as he continued to stare at his shocked best friend.
"I think that's for you." Jaemin said winking at him.
"Lord have mercy.." Haechan muttered as he felt Jaemin force him onto his feet so they could go downstairs.
Jaemin interlocked his arm with Haechan's and led him out of his bedroom going downstairs. Haechan's breath hitched as he seen Mark standing by the front door as he waited for him to come. Mark had on; a long sleeved blue shirt that didn't reach to far past his waist, a black long sleeved shirt underneath, black cargo pants, a chain that was hooked onto his pants that hung on the side, some chains that were different sizes around his neck, and some rings on his fingers to top it off.
"Fuck he's hot. I don't think I can do this." Haechan whisper-yelled to Jaemin.
"Yes you can." Jaemin whisper-yelled back. He removed his arm from around Haechan's and took him over to Mark who immediately noticed them.
"Hi Mark hyung!" Jaemin said happily greeting the older.
"Hey Jaemin," Mark greeted back with a smile then he looked over at Haechan looking at him from head to toe. "Hey Donghyuck, you look great!"
Haechan felt himself blush, "T-thanks, you also look great." He said.
Mark blushed but immediately looked away from him to try and avoid eye contact. "T-thank you."
Jaemin sighed as he stared at them, "Alright if your both done with the awkward greetings, I'll be on my way back to Jeno's house. Have a nice date you two." He said then left out of the house.
Mark cleared his throat and looked over at Haechan "Should we go now?" He asked and Haechan nodded in response.
"Mom! I'm going out for awhile!!" Haechan informed his mother.
"Alright darling be careful on your date!!" She said back from the kitchen.
Haechan blushed even more, "A-alright!" He stuttered.
"It was nice meeting you Mrs.Lee." Mark politely said as he seen her walk into the living room and come over by the front door.
"You as well sweetie, please be careful you two. Alright?" She said.
"We will Mrs.Lee don't worry." Mark reassured her, she smiled and nodded. After simple goodbyes both Haechan and Mark left out of his house and went over to which Haechan presumed was Mark's car.
It was painted black and red also not to mention it looked quite expensive, Mark unlocked the car and went over to the passenger side and opened the door for him.
Haechan flushed red as he got into the car. "Thank you."
Mark smiled, "Of course." He closed the door after making sure he was all the way in then went over to the driver's side getting in the car himself.
He put the keys in and cranked up the car, before he put the car in reverse he looked over at Haechan to make sure he was alright.
"You good?" He asked and Haechan nodded in response afraid he might stutter if he spoke. "Alright, well I was thinking about taking you to the movies, you ok with that?"
"Y-yea" Haechan stuttered.
Mark chuckled, "Cute." He said loud enough for Haechan to hear. The younger boy immediately got flustered and looked out the window.
Mark put the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway then put it in drive and began heading to the movies theater.
They arrived at the theater after driving for about 20 minutes and Mark parked the car. Mark noticed Haechan's trembling hands.
"Are you alright Donghyuck?" He asked the younger.
"Y-yea, why do you ask?" Haechan asked as he looked over at him.
"Well your hands are shaking so I assumed you were nervous but I wanted to check and see if you were ok." Mark explained.
Haechan smiled, "Yea I am a bit nervous, I haven't really gone on a date in a long time so it's sort of weird for me.." He said.
Mark smiled and softly grabbed his hand in his, "If we're being hoenst, I'm nervous as well. I actually never went on a date with Cameron so it's also a bit weird for me as well.." He said.
"Glad to know I'm not the only one." Haechan said.
Mark chuckled, "Yea, you aren't. But we should go in now?" Haechan nodded and he let go of his hand, they both unbuckled their seatbelts then grabbed their stuff and got out of the car.
Mark locked the car then they both began making their way over to the ticket booth in order to figure out which movie they're watching. They made it over to the booth and began looking over the movies that was available for them to currently watch.
"Hm, what about that movie?" Mark asked as he pointed to a movie.
"Mark I think that's rated R." Haechan said as he looked over it.
"Oh. I did not see that." He muttered.
"What about Cruella? I heard that's a good movie." Haechan suggested.
"Alright, it seems interesting enough." Mark said and pulled out his wallet.
"Hello, how may I help you?" A boy said.
"Hello, can we get two tickets to see the Cruella movie?" Mark asked.
The boy tapped a few things on the screen of something in front of him before looking back over at Mark and responding. "Alright, that will be $12.56, please."
Mark grabbed a twenty from out of his wallet and handed it to the boy, after a minute the boy handed him back his remaining change and they're tickets.
"Your total is $7.44 and here are your tickets." He said.
Mark took both, "Thank you, have a nice day." He said.
"You both as well." The boy said.
Mark handed Haechan his ticket as they both walked inside of the cinema going over to the food stand and looked at the menu to see what they wanted.
"Wanna get popcorn?" Mark asked.
"Mmm, but what about nachos?" Haechan said.
"Yea, nachos sound better." Mark said.
Haechan looked over at Mark who looked back at him, "Look, you know if you don't want nachos you can just like you know not get them, you can just get popcorn." He said.
"It's fine, nachos is better than popcorn anyway." Mark reassured him.
"Alright."
"You want something to drink?" He asked and Haecha nodded.
"Can I get a slushy?" Haechan asked. Mark smiled and nodded.
"Can we get two medium slushy's and nachos please?" Mark ordered.
"Is that all for you both?" The cashier asked.
Both boys looked over at each other then looked back at the cashier.
"Yes, that is all." Haechan said.
"Alright, your total is... $14.78," Mark pulled out a twenty dollar bill and handed it to the cashier. After a few minutes he handed him back his remaining change with a receipt. "And your change is $5.22, also here are your cups."
Mark grabbed his change while Haechan grabbed the cups, they both stepped out of the line going over to the slushy machine to fill up their cups. Haechan filled his cup up with blue raspberry and Mark mixed his with Coco cola and blue raspberry. Their nachos were called so Mark went over and got them then they started heading towards the right room where the Cruella movie would be playing.
"Hey Mark." Haechan called out.
"Hm?" He hummed out to let him know he was listening.
"Does that really taste good?" Haechan asked motioning towards his mixed flavored slushy.
"Yea, want to try it?" Mark asked handing him the cup.
Haechan stared at the cup that was in Mark's hand for a few seconds before eventually grabbing it and drinking some of it. "Mmm, this is actually good." He said and drunk some more.
Mark chuckled, "I'm glad you like it but, can I have my slushy back before you drink it all?" He said.
Haechan took one last sip before handing it back to him and watched as he took a sip. Haechan blushed as he realized what just happened. 'That was an indirect kiss. Did not mean for that to happen.' He thought.
Mark looked over at Haechan seeing that his face was red along with the tip of his ears. "You alright sunshine?" He asked not realizing what he just called the younger boy.
Haechan flushed a dark red as he felt butterflies in stomach at the name. "Oh god.." He muttered.
Mark stopped walking making him stop as well and turned to face him. "Are you alright? Your really red. Are you hot?" He asked starting to become worried about the younger's well-being.
Haechan took a deep breath to try and calm down his racing heart, then he looked at Mark unintentionally making eye contact but got too shy to maintain it.
"Uh.. I-i'm fine.. it's just.." Haechan paused then glanced at the older's face seeing that he wore a worried expression so he continued. "I-it's just... the n-name you called me..."
"You mean sunshine?" There it go again. The name that makes Haechan's heart race.
"Y-yea..." He said quietly.
"Do you not like it? If you don't want me to-" Before Mark could finish Haechan cut him off.
"No no! I like it a lot! It's just i-it caught me off guard but I really like it." Haechan said.
Mark was relived and happy that the younger didn't mind the name he had chosen for him. Mark thought it suited the younger boy really well since the few days they had been talking Mark couldn't help but smile whenever he thought of or spoke about the boy. To him Haechan was just a ball of sunshine, his smile, his laugh, everything about him just made him shine.
"That's good you like it because I came up with it myself." Mark said.
"Y-you did?" Haechan asked and Mark nodded.
"Yea. Your like a ball of sunshine that goes around brightening everyone's day, especially mine so I picked that nickname for you." Mark explained.
Haechan couldn't help but to smile after he heard how he brightens Mark's day, he looked down at Mark's hand and began reaching for it but retracted his hand and looked back over at Mark. "Can..." He started.
"Hm?" Mark hummed out signaling he could continue because he was listening.
He gathered up his courage and asked, "Can.. we... hold hands?" Mark was a bit taken aback by the question but he smiled and reached over intertwining his hand with Haechan's.
"This alright with you?" Mark asked and showed him their intertwined hands. Haechan blushed and nodded. "Great!, now let's go watch the movie now, Hm?"
"Alright." Haechan replied. And with that they both continued walking to the room where the movie would be showed at.
The movie finally finished so Mark and Haechan walked out hand in hand as they only had their slushy's in their other hands.
"Ugh! Remind me to never watch Cruella again. I wouldn't have picked it if I would've known it was two fucking hours long." Haechan complained as they walked out of the cinema heading towards Mark's car.
"Mm, but it was a pretty good movie to watch." Mark said.
"I know but it was just soo long. I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep." Haechan said making Mark chuckle at him.
They finally made it over to Mark's car so they let go of each other's hands and went on opposite sides of the car. Mark unlocked it and they both got in closing the doors behind themselves and putting on their seatbelts.
"It was a pretty long movie, what time is it?" Mark said.
Haechan grabbed his phone out of his pocket and checked the time, "It's 6:58 pm." Haechan read aloud so Mark could hear.
"Alright, want to go walk on the beach?" Mark asked.
Haechan smiled, "Yea that sounds nice." He said.
Mark smiled and put the car in reverse and backed out of the parking spot then he put it in drive and began driving off towards the beach. He glanced over at Haechan and intertwined their hands. The younger couldn't help the huge grin that made its way onto his face as he looked out the window looking at all the buildings and other things that they would pass by.
