It was the next day. Jiho from the Fashion Department was found still serving the goons with two trays on both of his hands and another one on his head, trying to balance them as he talk to his so called masters on his phone that was squeezed between his chin and shoulder.
The two girls behind him can't help but grimace in disgust seeing the pathetic boy as he set the trays on Zack and the goons' table.
"Whew. All done."
Thinking when he should eat, He noticed the change of air quickly assuming that Nari and the new guy which was Daniel have arrived in the Cafeteria, which he guessed right.
There, Daniel stood with Zoe clinging on his arm.
"Danny? Let's eat together~"
Behind him was Nari with Mary. Both students from Fashion surrounded by fangirls and fanboys that has admiration visible in their eyes. Daniel caught a sight of Jiho, quickly recognizing him.
'Eh? The guy from yesterday!'
He waved at him with wide smile and approached him bending down to come face to face with the smaller guy.
"Same class right? Let's eat together."
Jiho was surprised and confused at the sudden invitation coming from the famous guy as whispers erupt behind the scene.
"What? Why him?"
"Crazy."
"Jealous~"
Daniel pulled his arm and led him to their table before he could even respond. As they sat down, Daniel turned around to face Nari with a much wider smile and small blush that you can hardly notice.
"Nari! Eat with us too!"
Whispers erupt once again from the students who had mixed feelings from the interaction of the two.
"Ship."
"That jerk was making a move on Nari!"
"I don't mind having a polyamory with them."
"To whom should I be jealous?"
She would love to eat with him due to her interest to get to know the appealing guy yet being friends with Vin Jin wouldn't help so she rejected his offer nevertheless to avoid her guy friend to call her names such as traitor or some shit whilst Daniel nods, understanding.
She sat at their lunch table with Mary across her as they started a conversation, lightly snickering at the looks Zack and the goons sent to Daniel's table when they entered the place probably thinking why their patsy was sitting beside Daniel.
"Where do you live?"
Daniel asked, wanting to be friends with the smaller lad. Nari chuckled at Zoe's expression and Daniel being oblivious about Jiho's discomfort.
"Must be looking out for him."
"Heart of gold."
Then, a familiar voice of Nari and Mary's best friend was heard.
"Wow, is it him-?! The guy who took down Zack?"
"Hehe yep."
Zack flinched at the sudden mention of the incident as he turn to look to see who's the owner of the voice which was Vin Jin with his two goons on both of his sides wearing their PPP hoodies.
"Wow, he's handsome."
"He's pretty. But I'm better looking right?"
'Take off your sunglasses..'
"Bro stop lying to yourself."
"Shush Nari. Anyways, I heard you lost to that pretty boy Zack. You drag around this ugly characters lol."
The said ugly characters gawk at him with anger thinking they look good that even the god knows it ain't true while Nari choked on her saliva at her best friend's statement.
"...Well. I lost to the pretty boy but I could probably take you. And the rats you hang out with aren't normal either."
Zack replied receiving different expressions from Vin's goons with Nari choking once again at the background.
'You punk!'
'Why me?'
"Hey. You wanna die?"
Suddenly, a fist came face to face with Vin Jin stopping inches from his glasses.
"Try me."
Vin's hand was however on Zack's chest, about to throw him if ever he really did punch him. The tension at the cafeteria grew as the two glared at each other. Jiho and Daniel sweat dropped from their table.
'He.. he's always busy. Scary.'
"Danny, try this."
"Zack Lee and Vin Jin together."
"Wow."
"What? Fight?"
"Zack and Vin?"
Daniel turned around recognizing the man in a sleeveless shirt as the guy who saved him and his new pal Jiho.
"Architecture Dept."
"It's Vasco."
"May the best man win."
Said the guy with big ears waving with fondness at Nari who waved back. Daniel, being unaware of Vasco's hatred against his second body decided to say hi at him.
"H... Hey!"
'Nice to meet you!'
He sprung up from his seat causing the poor boy beside him to jump cause of shock. Nari facepalm at her classmate's foolishness forasmuch she's aware about her friend from architecture's distaste towards the handsome boy.
Seeing Vasco's confused look, Jace whispered to him.
"That's the new guy. Maybe he's picking a fight?"
As Vasco was analyzing Daniel's table. Nari who now stood behind Jace smacked the back of his head. He hisses in pain as the two whisper yelled to each other.
"What was that for???"
"Why'd you tell him that Daniel's picking a fight!"
"Wasn't he?!"
"No, idiot!!"
"Ah.. hey.."
They turned their attention back to Daniel who was sweating nervously with Vasco shooting daggers to him.
"Who are you? You know me?"
Daniel's smile withered looking up at Vasco who was standing above his sitting form.
'What's this..? Different vibe from yesterday.. Oh wait, Wrong body!'
Daniel thought, panicking.
"You. You've never been taken down, huh?"
The muscular guy's hand reached and grabbed Daniel's shoulder.
"Even if you're good-looking and strong.."
Daniel confusedly looked at the hand on his shoulder as Vasco continued his sentence, squeezing his shoulder in the process.
"Don't screw around."
The audience had their mouth agape seeing Vasco using the squeeze of death to Daniel. The guys with Vasco grimaced remembering the time he used the technique against them as Nari hissed at the scene.
Pain was visible on Daniel's face but Vasco was stunned at how he was withstanding it.
'Yeah, He's never seen me before.. He must've thought I was mean! Let's clear the air.'
However, his way of clearing the air had made the situation much worst. He grasped Vasco's wrist and shook it off his shoulder with an ease, apologizing with a nervous grin.
"Sorry if I bothered you. I thought you were someone else."
His apology went unheard by everyone as they were too shock on how he shook Vasco's grip off with only one hand except for Zack who was smirking but was also surprised at the guy's strength. Vasco's anger somehow was rising.
'I did hear that he was faster than Zack.. But he is this strong?!'
The cafeteria went silent because of the tension going on. Jace couldn't help but think about the lost-lost situation that can happen if Vasco did something.
'Handsome guy is bad... Should I teach him a lesson?'
Jace was too busy thinking to even notice Vasco's fist moving towards Daniel as everyone flinch. It was too late to stop Vasco when Jace came back to reality.
But before his fist could even reach Daniel, a palm catched it. Everyone gasped seeing Nari's hand on Vasco's fist.
"Don't start a fight Tae."
(A nickname from his birth name Euntae)
Their shock worsen because of the girl. They always knew she was strong as she was good enough to be friends with strong people around their school but they didn't know that she was so strong that she can even stop Vasco's punch.
As if on cue, Jace jumped in between the two boys and tried to start a conversation with Daniel.
"Haha! Yeah! So you thought he was someone else?"
"Yeah.. Sorry."
"Nah, it happens."
"What class are you? Fashion?"
"Yep.."
"Oh. So you are the new guy."
"Yep"
'Nari.. Jace.. You both don't need to worry...'
"Forget it and eat."
"Okay!!"
Daniel being innocent he is, can't help but be moved at Jace's act.
'Nice guy. Thank you.'
Whispers and Compliments filled the scene again after seeing Daniel's strength.
"The new guy is the real deal."
"He's hot."
"He stood up to Vasco!"
"He's cool."
"Sick."
'I'd like to be his friend.. He's so sweet..'
All the guy beside him could think was how he wanted to get out of his place. Jiho's attention then went to Vasco who decided to speak up to him.
"Hey little guy.. Don't surrender to guys like that. Believe in yourself."
"Hey, shut up and go eat with Jace. I'll go back to my table. Ah damn my hand went numb."
"I'm sorry Nari...."
'So cool.. But who was the surrender talk aimed at?'
'He's got it all wrong. But he called me little guy.. How rude!'
Daniel continued chewing his food in delight, unaware of the guy from Beauty Dept staring at him and grinning with girls around him.
'...Hmm. Daniel Park.. I don't really care but.. He's handsome and kind. He's kinda funny. Maybe he'll let me cut his hair?'
"Eli! Try this."
"Eli- take a look at my hair. Would ya?"
"You wanna die huh??"
His eyes then went to Nari's form who was scolding her best friend for trying to start a fight while practically shoving random foods on Vin's mouth. Eli chuckled at the female's motherly act.
The interesting lunch break then came to an end.
