Time Skip- with the Guardians
"Okay, we were able to locate some of the missing miraculous." Then one of the monks pulled out a map that shows the missing Kwami's.
"May I ask how you were able to do this? I mean we've been here for like a week and the reception here is really tough." Max asked. It had been freezing from where they were, considering that the temple was up in the mountains.
"We used a spell from one of the grimoires. The spell can only work properly if we have the needed ingredients and if it's done by one of the guardians." Said the monk holding the map while the others stared at the red circles.
"I'm assuming the red circles represent where the miraculous are currently at?" questioned Marinette. The monk simply nodded while pointing at some of the circles "The miraculous that we know of are located in these Museums as you people call it. We found one in particular that was found by these archaeologists. Which is located in a museum in London, Imperial War Museum London, is the name." The monk rolled the map back up, as Hugo, Louis, and Emma entered the room. The three walked to the group as they nodded to the monk with the scroll. "Yes, as for your cover story for your families we found it was best if you had requested to be homeschooled, or what was the term...doing school online instead. As you know young guardian, these missing miraculous being out in the open is highly dangerous." Hugo then turned his attention directly towards Marinette "we understand what we're asking for is a lot to deal with and behalf the rest of the guardians and I, we'll leave it to be your decision young one to decide if your certain with going through with this."
Marinette responded back with determination "Understood, but I promise you we will get back the missing miraculous. After what my whole team and I went through we never want to see another Kwami in the wrong hands and locked away."
Emma then spoke up "Well with that being said, I believe this belongs to you, Marinette." She then hands her the fixed peacock miraculous. "I was able to fix the crack and Duusu is good as new, Nooroo stayed by their side the whole time. I suggest you keep these two close with each other, they've been through a lot and they both care deeply about each other. Seeing as they were away from the others. " Marinette then placed the peacock and butterfly miraculous on her to see the two Kwami's. Two bright flashes appeared and standing in front of her she sees the human version of Nooroo and Duusu. They both gasped before bowing then standing back up "Young guardian we thank you for rescuing us. Fu would've been proud of you. All of you in fact, we're deeply sorry for what you went through." The two Kwami's expressed. Marinette then smiled at the two, gently taking their hands with hers. "There's no need to thank me, I'm sure the others are ecstatic to see you two again." After she said that, said Kwami's rushed away from their holders to hug the two. Once they each have gotten their hugs they turned towards Marinette "Marinette is it alright if we catch up with Nooroo and Duusu?" Tiki questioned her holder. "Of course Tiki."
Emma then continued on as the Kwami's rushed out of the room. "Marinette, there is something I'd like to show you before you leave." Marinette nodded turning back to her group of friends, "Don't break anything while I'm gone." She then turned her attention back to Emma, following her hearing "NO PROMISES!" from her friends.
After walking through what seemed to be endless hallways, she sees the tapestries she first saw when she entered the temple. "These tapestries...they each show the past ladybugs. We have the ladybug and cat miraculous in the front since they represent the yin and yang. The balance of the universe." Upon further inspection she noticed she was a part of the tapestry. "Why...why am I on them? I wasn't on the tapestry before when I got to the temple. Why am I in the middle?"
Emma looked at her and smiled "Yes, but each of these past holders...they each fought for something they valued. As for you, you fought for what you believed in since day one. When someone was put down, you'd stand up for them. When you notice someone being judged for who they are you stand by their side. Proving the others wrong. Ladybugs are known for their luck, change, and good fortune. Marinette...I have a question. Do you know why we have these tapestries in the first place?"
Marinette looked at Emma before looking at the tapestries "...To honor who they were as heroes?" "Yes, but why." She then looked at each of their facial expressions. They each seemed passionate, determined, strong fighters. "To honor for what they've sacrificed." Emma nodded "Correct. They were given a miraculous and unknown to them the duty to keep the universe balanced. Being a hero means with having a huge amount of responsibility, having the weight on your shoulders. Every single one of them had scarified so much. For their friends, family, and so much more. They've done so much that the most we as Guardians can do is to honor what they sacrificed for." Emma then shed a single tear, seeing that she had known some of them. Marinette then reach a handout to touch one of the former ladybug holders on the tapestry before looking at Emma. "May I?" Emma just nodded before smiling and stepping back a little.
Marinette clicked on the tapestry and her surroundings began to change. "What's going on? Emma smiled seeing their surroundings changing "We're taking a look back on history young one." With that being said she sees some of the same holders as she did in the tapestries. It showed 6 different cards, each of them with a different holder, different timeline. They formed a circle around Marinette and Emma, "Touch one of the cards." Emma spoke. So, she did. She clicked on the one that said, 'The Queen' and the setting changed again, but this time without the cards.
The scene in front of them showed the ladybug holder fighting an army. Alongside her appeared to be someone wearing the cat miraculous. The war was merciless as she witnessed the two holders fighting the other side. "That was Queen Catherine of Aragon, alongside her is King Henry VIII of England. They were already at war with them, but they had a traitor. Unexpectedly, they went to war with them earlier than anticipated." She then watched as the war had ended with the Ladybug and Cat holder succeeding. A flash appeared showing the same ladybug holder but at a different time. "You might be wondering why I'm showing you this, while the ladybug holders did succeed in balancing the universe and bringing prosperity, they each went through difficult times. You know the term 'all good things come to an end'." The scene showed the Queen crying holding a letter that was written to her from the king. "She was locked away from public's eye because of her parents. Why? They found it was best for her since the first time she got married, her husband had passed away." Emma continued to explain. (this is not the exact information about the queen, I just altered the information I found a bit.)
They were then brought back to present time, Marinettes hand still placed on the tapestry. She then stepped away, as a tear fell. She then followed Emma who began walking to where the others were "I just want you to know Marinette, that what you sacrificed, what you lost...I'm sorry. Being a guardian and a holder is something beyond any of the guardians here have faced. We thank you for what you've done, and we are beyond astonished in what you've done. So, thank you. I wish you and your friends with the best of luck with finding the lost miraculouses. I must say that with your stay here, Hugo and Louis loosened up a bit. Their always so serious when it comes to training and competitions." Marinette laughed "You don't say..."
As they were getting close to where the others where they heard laughing. When they entered the room, she saw Kim and Alix doing a handstand competition. On the side she saw some of her friends chanting them on "Go Alix/Go Kim!" Alix then dropped down from her handstand now laying on the ground "Ughh you won." Kim then got down from his handstand laying down as well, to exhausted to be celebrating his win. "You only won because you're a monkey, you Tarzan." Alix spoke before her and Kim were given some water from Max.
They then heard a yell of victory from Louis "Yes! AHA I won!" Emma then walked up to them, Marinette following. "I have finally beaten Hugo at this tic-tac toe game. "Yeah Yeah, at least I beat you at rock paper scissors." Louis then rolled his eyes and shook hands with Hugo "Rematch?" "Rematch." was the only response he got back. Emma then shook her head at the two, "You two both act like children that it's difficult to believe you guys are even Guardians."
As the day continued the teens began to finish packing up, since they were leaving first thing tomorrow. Once done they all met outside of their rooms, with their Kwami's. "So, how does this Kwami human thing work once we leave?" Luka asked. "Once we step foot out of this temple we'll go back to our regular selves." Trixx explained. Adrien then walked up to Marinette "Before we go, I want to make sure I give you this." He then pulled out his ring from his suitcase that was on a silver chain. Marinette took the necklace and pulled him into a hug, "Stay safe, I'll make sure to wear this at all times to keep the balance." Later more arms began wrapping around the two "GROUP HUG!" Chloe shouted. Adrien then gestured for Gorilla to join.
"Guys...I-uh can't breathe. Please let go." Adrien spoke after some time. The group hug ended, and Marinette put the necklace around her neck. The group then went to go where the guardians were, walking through the identical halls. Once there they saw them happily chatting with each other. They stopped chatting once they saw the group of teenagers, along with Gorilla. Marinette cleared her throat "We uhm... want to thank you all for your hospitality. We also want to thank for fixing Duusu, she's doing a lot better than she did before. We'll be leaving first thing in the morning tomorrow to talk with our families about being homeschooled" They each bowed low to show their respect. The Guardians approached them bowing as well "Thank you young Guardian, again for helping us find the missing miraculous. We wish you all the best of luck and hope to hear from you all again." They then handed them the map that showed the ones that were missing along with power-up potions for the Kwami's. "The other Kwami's were ecstatic when they saw their sisters and brothers, so we thank you for reuniting them again."
Time Skip- At Night Marinettes POV
"Tiki are you ready for tomorrow?" Marinette asked her kwami as she tucked herself in bed. "Ready when you are Marinette. "
"Good night, Tiki." "Good night, Marinette" She responded back
And with that they both fell asleep.
