I wake up with a sigh. I stretch a little but don't get very far. I feel a strong arm wrapped around my waist holding me tightly. I smile and turn my face to look at my boyfriend of two years fast asleep behind me. I turn myself around so that I'm completely facing him.
I bring my hand up and run my fingers through his hair. I see a smirk creep up onto his face making me smile.
He peeks one eye open and looks up at me. "Good morning beautiful" he says in his morning voice.
I smile at him. "Morning handsome!" I say. He opens his other eye and smiles at me before climbing on-top of me and leaning down to connect our lips together in a passionate kiss.
I quickly kiss back with just as much passion and tug on the ends of his hair.
We pull away after a few minutes for some air and just lay there breathing heavily while looking into each other's eyes with stupid grins on our faces.
"Good morning." I murmur again.
He smiles before laying back and pulling me on-top of him into a hug.
I rest my head on his chest while listening to his heartbeat and drawing random patterns on his chest.
Today was the first day in a long time where Steve and I both had a day off.
We agreed yesterday after a busy day for both of us that we were spending the day in bed unless something came up.
My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of Steve's phone. I groan and bury my face in the crook of his neck.
I don't pay attention to what he's saying but soon I feel him lean up and put his phone back on the night table.
He wraps his arms around my waist again. "That was Danny.. he asked if we'd babysit Grace today." Steve says.
I lift my head and look up at him. "I said we would." Steve says.
I nod before starting to get out of bed before I'm pulled back and wrapped up tightly in my boyfriend's arms.
I laugh. "Steve we need to get ready when is Danny dropping Grace off?" I ask.
"In half hour." Steve mumbles against my neck before peppering kisses across it.
My breath hitches as he kisses my pulse point. I turn my head and kiss him deeply while slowly untangling myself from his arms. I pull away and stand up from bed quickly.
I go over to the closet and find a pair of pants and a shirt to wear before pulling them on. After I'm changed I turn back to the bed to see Steve eying me with a pout on his face.
I chuckle before walking into the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I just finished throwing my hair up and have started my makeup when a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind and a head leans on my shoulder.
I turn my head a little to see Steve watching me intently. I smile and kiss his forehead before finishing my makeup. I stand up and then turn around to look at him.
"You need to go get ready." I tell him.
He mumbles in response but walks out of the bathroom to find clothes.
I brush my teeth quickly and just finish when I hear the doorbell ring.
I go downstairs and see Steve, Danny and Grace talking.
"Auntie Amelia!" Grace says when she sees me and runs over hugging me.
"Hey Grace!" I say while hugging her back. We pull apart with smiles in our faces. "You want to help me make breakfast for us and uncle Steve?" I ask.
"Yeah!" She says.
"Alright let's go!" I say while extending my hand out for her to take. "Danny have fun with whatever your doing.." I say before disappearing into the kitchen with Grace. I hear Danny and Steve chuckle behind us and smile.
"Alright Grace you want pancakes or waffles?"
"Pancakes!!" Grace exclaimed excitedly.
"Alright." I say with a chuckle.
"You want to set the table for me honey?" I ask her while I'm making the batter.
"Sure!" She says before grabbing three plates and heading to the dining table.
I smile and pour some batter into the pans.
"Oooh I thought I smelt pancakes." Steve says.
I turn around a smile at him. "You thought right."
He chuckles and walks over before kissing me gently.
I wrap my arms loosely around his neck. He puts his hands on my waist pulling me closer.
"Ewww! Get a room!" Grace says coming back in the kitchen.
We jump apart and Steve starts laughing while I blush furiously and hide my face in his chest.
I pull away and looks at Grace with a small smile. "Did you finish setting the table?" I ask.
She nods before going into the dining room with Steve. I finsih making the pancakes and go set them on our plates.
When were finsihed eating and cleaning our dishes I go upstairs and put my bikini on.
I go back downstairs.
Steve and Grace look over to see me in my bathing suit.
"What are you doing?" Steve asks.
"I'm going to go surfing!" I say with a smile.
"Oooh auntie Amelia!! Can you teach me how to surf?" Grace asks.
"Of course honey! Do you have your bathing suit with you?" I ask.
"Yeah! I'll go get changed!" She says before running upstairs.
"You going to teach me how to surf to babe?" Steve asks with a wink.
I laugh before nodding. "Oh yeah." I say while wiggling my eyebrows.
He laughs before kissing my temple and walking upstairs to get his bathing suit on.
I walk outside and down to the beach where I grab my board.
Steve and Grace aren't out yet so I decide to go catch a few waves before they come. I ride one in to shore and get the barrel on another before I hear whistling and clapping.
I turn around and see both of them out on the beach watching me.
I smile before catching another wave and riding it in to shore.
"That was so cool! Auntie Amelia you have to teach me how to do that!" Grace says excitedly.
I laugh and start teaching her how to surf. By the end of the day I had Grace up on the board catching a few waves.
Its late now and we just finished supper. The three of us are in the livingroom watching a movie.
Steve has his arm wrapped around my shoulders while my head lays on his shoulder. Grace is snuggled into my side with her head on my chest.
I look down to see Grace fast asleep. I smile and wrap a blanket around her before holding her tighter.
I myself am exhausted and am struggling to keep my eyes open. I finally give into exhaustion and fall asleep.
I don't know how long I was asleep for but I woke up to voices and Grace being pulled out of my arms.
I groan quietly and shift my body. I slowly open my eyes to see Grace still asleep in Danny's arms and Danny and Steve looking down at me with small smiles.
"Thanks for watching her Amelia! You too Steve! She loves it when she comes here." Danny says.
"Hmm no problem.." I mumble still half asleep.
Danny chuckles before waving to us and leaving.
"Alrighty you.. time for bed." Steve tells me.
"Mmhmmm." I murmur while outstretching my arms towards him.
He raises his eyebrow at me before huffing and picking me up bridal style carrying me upstairs. He sets me down on our bed gently, tucking me under the blanket before he gets ready for bed.
I'm almost asleep again by the time he comes back. He gets into bed behind me wrapping his arms around my waist pulling my back up against his chest.
I shift myself so I'm almost laying on top if him. Our legs are intertwined together while my head rests on his chest and his arms are wrapped around my waist.
"Goodnight Baby." Steve whispers into my ear.
"Night Babe." I whisper back before falling asleep instantly.
