A/N: Another long chapter :)

You sat at your creamy white desk, writing your Math homework. You has E/C dreamy eyes and H/C hair that reaches down to your waist. You write feverishly when a noise comes from the unbelievably large window. You turn abruptly, eyeing the window cautiously. A scratching sound fills the room.

You stand up and go to the window and stick you head out. The late night wind hits your delicate face as a shadow appears in front of you. You jump abruptly, only to being staring into the chestnut brown eyes that belonged to Billy Loomis. Billy Loomis. A strapping, handsome and alluring boy with caramel coloured hair and bangs that covered his eyes slightly. Your stomach aches and fills with butterflies uncontrollably. He had been your crush for about two years now ever since you first moved to Woodsboro. Unfortunately, though, Billy dated your closest friend, Sidney Prescott. But, lucky for you, he didn't love her mutually enough. Of course you wanted to Sidney to be happy and you didn't wanna break their relationship but you couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy. Billy was the most popular boy in the school, after all. Girls would drool over him everyday and ask him out consistently.

Their relationship had been quite tough and toxic since Sidney's mother was murdered last Halloween. Billy didn't look at her the way he looked at you, gazing into your eyes and getting lost in them; he didn't give her as much hugs as he gave you; he didn't speak to Sidney as much as he spoke to you; it was all about you. Although, Sidney didn't seem to notice which made it easier.

"Hey, it's just me, Y/N," he says, lifting himself into your F/C room. Posters of different rock bands covered your walls, a teddy bear was prompted up against your F/C pillows and mini Polaroid pictures were stuck on your cork-board above your dresser, consisting your friend group of five of your best friends. "Billy? What the hell are you doing here? Do you have any idea what time it is? It's almost midnight," you said, exasperated.  He was wearing a light blue V-neck shirt and black trousers, along with black boots.

"I just came here to see you," he said innocently. You couldn't help but smile sweetly and hug him tightly.

"Why? You'll see me tomorrow at school," you said, crossing your arms over your chest. A soft breeze blew in and you reluctantly closed the window. "Am I not allowed to see my best friend?" he said, one eyebrow raised.

"I didn't say that. It's just that my mom and my brother, Hayden, are sleeping and they'll be furious if they find out you're here. Especially my mom," you said, sitting down on your bed.

"I won't be here for long. I just wanted to talk to you about something. May I?" he said, gesturing to your bed. You nodded and he sat next to you. Suddenly, your mother's annoyed, sleepy voice bellows through the wall from the other room. "Y/N? What's that noise? I hear talking!" her muffled voice comes from the room next to yours.

"Nothing, mom! I-I'm just talking to myself, as usual," you half lied. You often talked to yourself a lot, especially when it came to homework. Your mom yelled back an 'okay' and it went silent. You assumed she went back to sleep. "See, this is why you can't be here, Billy. She already suspects."

"I'll be quiet, I promise," he said, gazing into your eyes. You sighed. "Okay, fine."

"Before you talk, have you seen Sidney today, besides from school?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows.

"I just came back from hers, then I rode my bike over here," he said, scratching his head.

"Does she know you're here?" you asked, crossing your arms over your chest suspiciously.

"Uh, no. But she doesn't have to know. She doesn't need to know everything I do."

You sighed. "I guess so. Anyway, what do you wanna talk about? And, is it relevant?" you asked, reaching over to your bedside table and taking a sip of your water.

"I'm planning on breaking up with Sid."

You choked on your water. You patted your chest and coughed loudly. You couldn't believe your ears. "What? Why? Sidney's the most poplar girl in the school and also beautiful," you said, utterly dumbfounded.

"I've just lost feelings for her now. Ever since.. you know.. her mother was killed, she hasn't been the same, loving girl I used to know," he said.

"Billy, her mother was murdered. What do you expect? Her life to be all rainbows and unicorns? Of course she is going to be upset, it was her mother. She needs time to adjust."

"It's been a year!"

"It doesn't matter.."

You laid down and gazed up at the ceiling, the light illuminating your room. "I just don't love her as much anymore. In fact, I love you, Y/N. You only," he said, lying down next to you.

Your eyes widened and butterflies swarmed your stomach intensely. "You-you really mean that?" you asked, sitting up.

"Well, yeah."

You smiled slightly and Billy returned the smile. He leaned it and cupped the side of your face and kissed your firmly. Your eyes widened and you felt sick with the amount of butterflies. You kissed back firmly. His cologne wafted up your nose.

You soon realised that this was wrong and you pulled away. "I'm sorry, Billy, but we can't do this. You're still with Sidney and I feel terrible," you said and wiped your lips.

"Don't worry, tomorrow me and her will be done and you'll be mine," he said and stood up.

You rolled your eyes in annoyance but you also smiled playfully. "I suggest you get going. Your father will be furious," you said and you gave him one last hug. He pulled away and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, Y/N."

He climbed out the window and disappeared into night sky.

You felt terrible for kissing your best friend's boyfriend. Surely Sidney would understand if it wasn't intentional, right? You wouldn't dare tell her. You couldn't imagine her reaction. You sighed sadly and you continued your Math homework for the night.

~

You awoke at 6:30 that following morning and you yawned loudly, outstretching your arms. You hopped out of bed and got dressed in a F/C t-shirt that your friend, Tatum, got you and you got dressed into some casual black jeans and white trainers. You brushed your silky H/C hair and put a black headband in it. You put your favourite bracelet on your wrist. Your father had given it to you last year before he left for his job in Germany. You haven't seen him in a year but you hoped he'd come back soon.

After your parents' messy divorce, your entire life changed.

You brushed your teeth and headed downstairs. Your mom had already left for work but your older brother, Hayden, was sat at the kitchen table. "Hey, Hayden," you said and sat at the kitchen table. "Alright, sis?" he said, his mouth full of bacon and eggs. You ripped off the post-it-note that was stuck on the table next to your cooked breakfast. It read:

Y/N,

I've left for work so I've left out your breakfast for you.

Stay safe and please be careful as of what occurred last night.

Mom x

You threw the note in the bin and gave Hayden a questioning look as you ate your breakfast. "What?" he demanded. "What does mom mean that something occurred last night?" you asked.

"I don't know." You gave him another questionable glance but continued eating your breakfast. When you finished, you grabbed your F/C backpack and exited the house.

You arrived at Woodsboro High School, a picture perfect small town school. Students came charging past you as you looked around, confused. Six police cars, four news vans, flashing cameras and crowds and crowds of students. You approach nearer towards the commotion. Four different reporters and four different cameras flooded the outside. Your interest peaked and you stop at the first news reported who was Gale Weathers.

She was in her possible thirties and her face was overshadowed by a flashy smile and a massive amount of chemically enhanced hair. She spoke into the microphone and looked into the camera in front of her.

"The small town of Woodsboro, North Carolina was devastated last night when two young teenagers were found brutally butchered. Authorities have yet to issue a statement but our sources tell us that no arrest has been made and the murderer could strike again..."

Disturbed, you move away. That's what mom told me stay careful about, you thought. Suddenly, a finger taps on your shoulder. You turn around and see your two best friends, Tatum Riley and Sidney Prescott. Tatum is a feisty, popular and carefree girl who is part of the cheer-leading squad. Sidney, on the other hand, was an introverted, kind and clever girl with deep, lonely green eyes. "Hey, guys," you said and gave them both a tight hug.

"Do you believe this shit?" Tatum asked.

"No, what happened?" you asked. You three break away from the crowd and head towards the school.

"Oh God! You don't know? Casey Becker and her boyfriend Steven Orth were killed last night! Tatum said dramatically.

"No way," Sidney said, rubbing the back of her temples nervously.

"And not just killed, guys. We're talking splatter movie killed, ripped open end to end."

"Casey Becker? She sits next to me in English and Y/N's sat behind her," Sidney said.

"Well, not anymore. Her parents found her hanging from a tree, her insides on the outside," Tatum exaggerated.

"Oh my God.. that's horrible. Do they know who did it?" you asked, gripping the strap of your F/C backpack.

"Absolutely clueless. They're interrogating the entire school. Teachers, students, staff, janitors..." Tatum trails off.

"They think it's school related?" Sidney asked, flabbergasted.

"They don't know. Dewey said this is the worse crime they've ever seen. Even worse than-" You slapped Tatum's arm slightly, knowing that she was hinting to Sidney's mother. "Well, it's bad," she continues, "They're bringing in the feds. This is big."

You and Sidney look back at Gale Weathers, your faces deeply pained and horrified.

~

You and Sidney sat in English class. You drew on the table slightly, blatantly ignoring your surroundings. A frumpy old woman, Mrs Tate, faces the class. Her hands are clasped together and a tragic look appears on her face. Her voice makes you jump. "A terrible tragedy. An unbearable loss. It's days like today we need a prayer in school.."

Sidney sits near the rear of the room. The desk besides her sits vacant and she catches you glancing at Casey's empty seat. Sidney can't take her eyes off of it. The door opens to the classroom and a student appears with a slip of paper. He hands it to Mrs Tate.

"Sidney, Y/N, it appears to be your turns."

The Principal's office is at capacity. Sheriff Burke, a round man in his fifties, wipes the unwanted stress on his face. "Who's up next?" he asks. A young officer looks at his clipboard. The officer appears to be Deputy Dwight (Dewey) Riley. He's a big guy, twenties, handsome in a scrubbed-clean boyish way. "Y/N L/N and Sidney Prescott," he replies.

Sheriff Burke gestures to bring you and Sidney in simultaneously. Principal Himbry, fifties, an old codger of a man with a sour face speaks. "Sidney Prescott. She was daughter of..."

"We all know Sidney, Mr Himbry, as well as Miss. L/N. They're both best friends with my sister," Dewey says.

"How she doin'? Sheriff Burke asks.

"She's adjusted well. Maintains an 'A' average. You never know she.." Himbry stops short, seeing Sidney and you standing in the doorway. He rises and sits you both.

"Hi, Sidney, Hi, Y/N," Sheriff Burke says.

"Sheriff Burke. Dewey," you say. Dewey shakes his head seriously.

"It's Deputy Riley today, Y/N."

"How is everything?" Sheriff Burke asked you both.

"Good," Sidney says.

"Perfectly well," you said.

"And your dad, Sid? How's he doing?"

"We're fine, thanks."

"We'll be brief, you two. The police have a few questions they'd like to ask you," Himbry says, putting his hand on Sidney's shoulder and chin creepily. You have Himbry a creepy look. So, he is a paedophile!  you thought to yourself. Sidney eyes you nervously and you gave her a reassuring smile.

"Did you both know Casey Becker and Steven Orth?" Burke asks.

"Only briefly," Sidney says.

"We used to be close friends when she dated my best friend, Stu Macher but then they split up so me and Casey kind of drifted apart. We still greeted each other, of course but.." you trailed off.
