Meanwhile Yibo was excited to be able to finally go to the event, but there was a worry in the corner of his heart, like something was striking him within him, Yibo wasn't quite able to put his finger on it, this feeling wasn't new him as he previously had them numerous time, in fact everyone had this feeling inside them, Zhan pulled the blanket to closer to him and sighed deep in thoughts "Am I jealous for Zhan or for his crush? Why though?" he questioned himself neither knowing whom he was jealous for nor the reason for his jealousy.

The next day at the Scare fest ...
"XUAN!" Ziyi ran to Xuan who was waiting outside the building where the scare fest was about to be held, Xuan waved at Ziyi who came running to her. Ziyi halted before Xuan and took a couple of rapid breaths before proceeding to speak "Did you wait here for a long time ?" she asked to which Xuan shook her head "No~ I just came as well" Ziyi smiled holding Xuan's hand "Let's go~" Ziyi said walking alongside Xuan inside the haunted house.
Meanwhile, Zhan waited for Yibo outside the haunted house, Yibo had called him earlier that he was running late and would probably be there in 15 mins. So Zhan patiently waited for Yibo. And as he did he heard a familiar yet irritating voice behind him "Well, Well, Well... If it isn't prince Xiao Zhan" Zhan turned around despite hating the owner of the voice. " Zifan, what are you doing here ?" Zhan asked to which Zifan chuckled "To see you babe" but Zhan rolled his eyes "But I don't want to see you" Zhan said crossing his arms while staring at Zifan.
Yet Zifan shamelessly chuckled "If you didn't want to see me, then why buy my favorite drink?" Zifan said pointing out the two cans of coke that was in Zhan's hand, Zhan scoffed "These aren't for you" Zifan grinned stepping closer to Zhan with inches apart from each others face, he spoke once again while Zhan flinched "Then who do they belong to?" Zifan asked, inching closer to Zhan while still having that dirty evil grin upon his face.
But as he stepped closer, something or someone pulled the two apart standing in between Zifan and Zhan "Those belong to me" said the person, taking the coke from Zhan's hand "Yibo~" Zhan called him in a low tone as a glimmer of smile finally returned upon Zhan's face. Yibo held Zhan's hand and without any further words proceeded to walk inside the haunted house. Zifan was left fuming "What the hell! You can't leave me alone like this" he screamed but all his attempts failed as Zhan and Yibo were no longer in sight.
"Are you okay?" Yibo asked Zhan to which he hummed in response "What does that guy want?" Zhan shrugged, not really having any idea why Zifan kept bumping into him, but he couldn't bother less as he was now beside Yibo, close to him, while Yibo still held his hand from earlier. Zhan, who was on cloud nine and was ready to blast anytime with extreme joy, was happy that the room was dark because he couldn't afford to show his flushed face in front of Yibo. He coughed trying to get Yibo's attention after clearing his mind to calm himself down a bit.
Yibo noticed that he was still holding Zhan's hand and dropped him "I...I'm sorry" he said while stammering, Zhan chuckled "It's okay... I get that you're afraid" Zhan laughed, making fun of him. Yibo's jaw fell on floor at the sudden insult thrown at his face "What?! I'm quite brave" Yibo said crossing his arms" What if I prove I'm brave? " Yibo asked with a proud smile, Zhan chuckled " Then I will give you anything you want" Yibo laughed " Then game on" Yibo said walking ahead of Zhan into the dark creepy room.
Half an hour later ...
" ZHAN! ZHAN SAVE ME! I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING! I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU LEFT ME..." Yibo who was lost inside the haunted house after trying to prove a point to Zhan that he wasn't a scaredy cat like Zhan had said, but somehow in this process him and Zhan had separated and Yibo was now stuck in some creepy looking lab inside the haunted house. After screaming for nearly ten minutes, he decided to give up, but just then, at the corner of his eye he saw a shadow move.
"WHO'S THAT?!" Yibo shouted, yet there was no reply. " I ASKED WHO IS IT ?" Yibo questioned once again, stepping away and just then he hit something, making the scaredy cat inside him jump out of his chest "AHHH!" "What the hell!" Yibo stopped screaming after hearing the known voice "Zhan?" Yibo called Zhan's name doubtfully, there was a huge sigh followed by Zhan proceeding to speak " of course it's me, who else would come to rescue you?" Zhan said holding Yibo's hand, Yibo hummed getting a tight grip onto Yibo's hand.
" How did you know where I was ?" Yibo asked curiously, not sure how Zhan had found him out. Zhan sighed before proceeding to reply " Anyone would know where you were after all those terrifying screams" even if Yibo couldn't see he swear to god that he knew Zhan rolled his eyes at him. But either way Yibo was happy that Zhan had finally helped him out. "You haven't changed a single bit, you're still the same as you were in the past" Zhan laughed, pointing out the past Yibo was a scaredy cat when it came to haunted houses.
Yibo laughed, scratching his head, but suddenly something occurred to Yibo "Wait! How did you know about my past ?" Yibo asked doubtfully, he was getting suspicious. Zhan gulped, fearing that he had almost blown his cover, but decided to save himself in a vain attempt "ZIYI!" Zhan screamed startling Yibo "What?" he asked in a confused expression "umm... Ziyi told me" Yibo nodded as he was sold by the answer "Figures~" Yibo replied. Zhan was finally able to breathe as he was holding it all this while.
Due to all this chaos Zhan had forgotten where to turn and after taking a few more turns inside the haunted house, Zhan paused, Yibo took out his torch and lit the way "What happened ?" Yibo asked not sure why Zhan had stopped, Zhan sighed face palming himself "We are lost" he mumbled in a low tone. Yibo blinked, not sure what he heard was actually what he had heard "What?" Zhan sighed "WE ARE LOST!" Zhan shouted, while Yibo looked at him as though he was lost.
Yibo was pacing back and forth not sure what to do, all the paths looked the same and there was no one else aside from them in that section of the haunted house. "What should we do, Zhan?" Yibo asked in a tense tone while biting his fingernails. But instead of a reply or a quirky comment, Yibo was treated with silence, he wasn't sure if Zhan was still in the room, he took out his phone to shine some light to see if Zhan was there and he indeed was there, but unconscious.
" ZHAN!" Yibo screamed rushing close to Zhan, he took out his phone to call someone but with the last of the light shining upon the two of them the phone had died "DAMN IT!" Yibo screamed, putting the phone back in his pocket. "Damn it! He has claustrophobic" Yibo remembered that Zhan can't stay in closed space for a very long time and maybe that was the reason why he had fainted "I should find a ventilated room" Yibo said helping Zhan up, while wrapping Zhan's arm around his neck to support him to walk. After kicking open a bunch of doors, Yibo was successfully able to find a small ventilated room, he put Zhan down on what looked like a table, while he sat beside him in a chair.
Yibo sighed as he attempted to fan some air onto Zhan's face so that he would be conscious once again "Please don't die on me" Yibo said repeatedly fanning him, while Zhan was slowly regaining his consciousness, but he wasn't yet fully conscious. Yibo tried to wake him up while chatting with him so that Zhan would wake up after hearing his voice. "Zhan~ Wake up, you promised me to give me anything if I was brave enough to face the haunted house" Yibo shook Zhan gently, but he didn't budge yet. Yibo sighed, "I want you to give me something sweet," he said, referring to buying something sweet to eat. After repeatedly trying to wake Zhan up, Yibo was a bit tired as well and proceeded to lay his head on the table on which Zhan laid.
After a while ...
Zhan woke up after his unconscious state for a long time, he realized that it was Yibo who had helped him and was quite surprised to see Yibo resting his head on the table in which he laid. He lovingly brushed Yibo's hair aside from his face while tucking the hair behind Yibo's ear. "I don't have anything sweet with me currently," he said, cupping Yibo's face, as he looked at the sleeping Yibo lovingly. As Zhan's gaze fell upon Yibo's face once again, he chuckled "This naive idiot still doesn't seem to remember me, I mean I get it, after all I wasn't really upfront in the past".
"But I guess that's my fault" Zhan said chuckling, "Maybe it's time I make up for my coward past self" he whispered in a low tone, while proceeding to move his face closer to that of Yibo. As he did he stopped just a few inches away from his lips, their lips almost touching each other as Zhan could feel Yibo's hot breath upon his lips, he smiled "I don't have anything sweet with me, but I guess this could work~" Zhan said as he placed his lips upon Yibo's lips. It was no ordinary pec, but quite a fast paced kiss, even though it was only Zhan who moved his lips, he felt those butterflies in his stomach before pulling away from the kiss. "Good night~" Zhan smiled as he kissed Yibo's forehead while proceeding to lay back on the table once again.
