3 years later Kay'lani was now 19 living on her own and attending Clarke university where she's studying to get her nursing degree.
After the talk with her dad 3 years ago about going to the gym kay'lani was excited to begin a new chapter in her life.
Until one day before the beginning of summer her dad got into a bad accident and died.
That really broke kay'lani . She was stuck with her mother who reminded her of her weight every day and also blaming her for her dads passing.
It got so bad she went into a deep depression, she started cutting her self and stopped eating thinking it'll make her smaller.
But kay'lani decided to go to therapy when she turned 18 which helped her out of her depression, but unfortunately she still wasn't eating.
After a while she disowned her mother and focused on school.
She refused to keep someone in her life who constantly made her feel useless.
Of course her mom still tried to get in contact with her just because she was broke and wanted money but Lani didn't fall for it.
When Kay'Lani dad died everything in his will went to her including insurance so basically she was set for life.
The only thing he left her mom was the house.
Kay'lani also began going to the gym on her own with motivation from her therapist .
Even though she went to the gym every week she still felt as though she was still fat.

"Lani we need to start going out" Jayda said sitting on Lani's couch
Jayda and Lani have been friends for 3 years. They met in school and got closer after a while.
Jayda was like a best friend to Lani. They did everything together and Lani trusted her with everything.
"Girl I got work in an hour" Lani said walking out in her footlocker uniform
Jayda sighed " ugh we need friends"
"No YOU need friends I'm perfectly fine with the one I have" Lani smiled
"Girl I love you, but you literally always working and when it's not work your at school and when it's not school your working out" she said causing Lani to chuckle because she was right
"There's nothing wrong with that" Lani shrugged
"There isn't, but you need a break"
"I'll take a break soon" Lani sighed
"Yea right let's go to the beach or something" Jayda suggested
"Um no"
"Girl whyy let's show off these fine ass bodies" Jayda said twerking causing lani to laugh
"Get yo butt up I need to start heading to work"
Jayda smacked her lips grabbing her purse "I'll see you later bestie..I love you"
"I love you too"
They hugged each other before Jayda left.
Lani grabbed some fruit from out her fridge and attempted to eat it.
Chewing it slowly she felt as though it was gonna come back up so she quickly spat it into the trash.
"So sick of this" she sighed before grabbing a water and her purse
She headed out her door not forgetting to lock it then headed to her car so she can get to work.
One thing about Lani was she loved working at footlocker, but she knew as soon as she gets her nursing degree she would have to quit.
"Hey Lani" her manager Jo said as she walked in
We did it jo...she thought of the video with Nle before chuckling.
"Hi" she waved while walking towards the back to clock in
Once she clocked in she sat her stuff in her locker then went towards the front.
"Your working on floor today" jo said causing her to nod and smile
"Hey Lani" Kayla the co-worker said
Lani rolled her eyes " why are you speaking to me ?"
Lani and Kayla have never liked each other simply because Kayla use to be one of the people that use to make fun of her weight when she was younger.
All of a sudden when they started working together she acted like they were the best of friends but Lani just thought she knew better then to try her knowing Kayla would get her ass beat.
"I was just being nice damn" Kayla said walking away with a stank attitude
"Hello welcome to footlocker" Lani smiled as this boy walked in
"Wassup" he said walking over to the mens side
"Hey do y'all got this in a size 11 ?" He asked me
"Mmm I'll have to check real quick..give me a sec" Lani said walking towards the back to find the size 11 air forces
Finally finding it she walked back towards the front "here you go"
He smiled "thank you, can you check me out ?"
Looking back not seeing Kayla anywhere Lani just nodded her head and walked towards the cash register.
"What you get best ?" Someone said walking up to the counter
"Some forces" the boy answered
"Boy I know you ain't buy another pair when you already got some on your feet" she said raising her eyebrows causing Lani to laugh
"I need two pairs best....one for emergencies and the other one just to have" he shrugged
"Your total is $100.98" Lani said putting the forces in a bag
"Your real pretty" the girl said smiling
"Thank you so are you" Lani smiled
"You have IG ?" She asked causing the boy to laugh
"I don't think she swing that way best"
"She don't have to swing that way for me to wanna be her friend....do you swing that way ?" She asked
"No" Lani laughed handing him his receipt
"Okay that's fine we can still be friends here out your IG in my phone" she said handing Lani her phone
Lani put her IG in and followed herself before handing her phone back.
"Ouuu okay I'm Kianna but you can call me Ki and this is my bestie King" she said
"Nice to meet you guys I'm Lani"
"Alright we'll see you around" Kianna said waving
"King ?" They heard causing them to look back to see Kayla cheesing hella hard
"Run best...RUN" he said before running out the store with Kianna behind him laughing
"I'll call you" Kayla yelled causing Lani to laugh

"Heyyy best" Jayda said walking into the store with multiple bags in her hand
"Hey girl what you doing here ?"
"Nothing just doing a little shopping...I got bored at home"
Lani laughed "your always bored"
"Ehh well I got an idea" Jayda smiled
Lani groaned " whatever it is...I'm okay"
"Lani come on...you ain't even hear what I was gonna say"
"I'm listening"
"We should have a girls day...go get our nails done, lashes done, our hair and then we can have a little sleepover" she suggested
Lani smiled "okay I wouldn't mind that"
Jayda clapped her hands together "great your off tomorrow right ?"
"Yea"
"Cool so I'll come by tomorrow morning and we can go to breakfast" Jayda said grabbing her bags
"Alright, that's fine" Lani said
"Kk, I'll see you tomorrow bestieee" she waved before walking out the store
"Do you ever do your job ?" Kayla asked
"Do you ever mind your business" Lani replied looking her up and down before walking away
"Why must you always have an attitude with me?" Kayla asked
"I don't have an attitude, I just don't like you" Lani said with a shrug
"You sure don't act like it" Kayla mumbled before waking away
