2 years later...
"Y/n, can you give me that." Shin said as he pointed to his tool box. I got of the chair I was on and got it for him. "Hi Y/n." I turned around to face the door after I gave him the box. "Hey Inui." That was Inui. He's around Manjiro's age. He started coming over to Shin's shop. I think he kinda looks up to Shin,.. tho, I'm not really sure.
I had alot of conversations with him. He always tells me that he wished he could have joined the Black Dragons when Shin was the leader. I mean, I get it. From what I heard,.. the Black Dragons changed alot.
"Heya, N/n." "Hey, Izana." I waved to the boy. I knew Izana for a while now. But it was only recently that Shin told me that they weren't exactly related by blood. I wonder how he'll react if he finds out. It shouldn't be bad right? I mean, he loves Shin as his brother.
Izana went out on a ride with Shin and I stayed in the shop with Inui and a few former Black Dragon members who comes over now and then.
The rest of the day passed and I was headed back home with Shin. Also, I stopped having all my nightmares, panic attacks and stuff, but he just got so accustomed to sleeping over that now it's just natural.
"Yeah, I got exams next year. Ughh." "You'll do fine." He said in a calm tone. "Hahhhh." "Here's what. If you do well, I'll give you a prize." "What kinda prize." I asked with a grin on my face. He just strugged his shoulders. "Come onnnn. Tell mee." "Nope, it's a surprise." "You're mean." "No, I'm just giving you extra confidence."
A few months passed and I focused on studying for my exams next year. Currently I was in Shinichiro's shop in the office area doing my work. I came over to his shop right after school so that we can go back home together. Shin was cleaning up the shop.
A few minutes passed and I didn't realize I slept away. I woke up to a person shouting. It sounded like,..
I ran out the room and out of the shop. "Izana?" I diverted my gaze from him and saw Shinichiro geting up from the ground. "Shin!" I went towards him and put my hand on his face where had a bruise. I looked at him and then back at Izana. The rain was pouring and it was freezing outside. "What happened?!"
"So did she know to." I raised my eyebrow at him, confused about what was going on. "Don't bring her into this." "So she did know!" "Wait wait. I did know what?" "Why didn't you tell me Y/n. That I'm not his actual brother." I became silent when he said that. So this is how he'll react if he found out. "What does that matter. Don't you two still love eachother like family." "You won't get it Y/n."
"Izana, I get it. So come on. Do you really hate Shin now." "How do you get it. Oh I know. You're just like me. You don't even have a family." As soon as he said that, he put his hand over his mouth and his eyes widened. At the side of my eye, I saw Shin look at me.
"You're right. I don't have a family. They're dead. And yes, I am just like you. I got people willing to let me be apart of theirs and so do you." He took a step back before running off. "Izana-" "leave him, he just needs some time to cool off." I heard something like that before.
We went inside and dried off. "Y/n, are you okay?" I looked at him and gave him a nod and smile. "Of course."
After that night, we never say Izana again. He just vanished. "Hey why do you look so worried. You got exams to study for." "Ughh don't remind me." "You got this." "Thanks. I gotta pass though. I wana know what you said you'd give me if I pass." "Oh yeah,.. I almost forgot about that." He said jokingly as he walked out the door. "You better not forget." I shouted to him as I ran behind him.
And just like that, the day of the exams came. It started in May and I might get the results sometime in August. It's on different days for different subjects."You'll be late if you keep holding onto me and don't get off." Shinichiro said as he looked back at me on the bike. "I'm not ready for this." "You'll do fine as I always say,.....so," He said as he unattached my hands from his waist and got off the bike. "come on" he reached out his hand to me and I took it and got off the bike.
His smile put me at ease so I wasn't all tense again. "Hahh,.. this prize better be something." "You'll just have to wait and see." I smiled at him before walking into the campus and waving goodbye.
The days and weeks passed and the exams were finally over. "Ahhhhh finally!" I shouted as I ran towards Shin who was waiting outside the College for me. "Who's exam free?" "I'm exam free!" I reached next to him and jumped on him for a hug. "Now that I think about it,.. this is kinda embarrassing to do infront of all these people." I said in his ear and he chuckled. "Come on. I have a day planned if you aren't tired that is."
I looked up at him from our hugging stance and nodded my head yes. We got on and he drove off. First he carried me home to bathe and change and then we went out. The first place was my favorite restaurant. Then, we went to the arcade, followed by the movies. The night ended with us going up on a mountain and spreading a sheet on the ground and looking at the sky and lit up houses.
"Had a good time?" He asked as he faced me. "Yup." I said as I looked at him. "The best time. We should do this more often." "Yeah." His smile was everything to me. I don't know what I'd do without him. "Ready to go home." "Yeah, I'm tireddd." He smiled before pulling me up. We got onto his bike and he drove off.
The night was cold and as I held onto him on the bike, his warmth was comforting. I wish time could just stop right here.
Weeks later...
"So what are you getting Manjiro for his brithday?" "Hmm,. Dunno yet." I said as I reached in my bag for something. "What are you looking for?" "Just a minute.....ah here it is." I said as I pulled out a folder from my bag. "And that is." "My results from the exam you idiot." "Already?! Why didn't you tell me. How did you do." "I wish I could tell you. I haven't opened it as yet. I was waiting to open it with you." That's partly a lie. I didn't have the courage to open it.
"Here, you open it." I said as I slid it across the table for him. "Hah." He sighed as he took it up. He opened it and his eyes widened. "What. You're scaring me!" "Damn." Huh!?! I got up and so did he. "Show me!" He didn't reply. He just raised it in the air, away from my grasp and walked back. "Shinnn. Tell me." I complained as I pulled on his hand. But as soon as I did, he swapped hands.
I was about to go for the other hand but as soon as I turned my head, my eyes widened. Shin was,.........kissing me. I pulled away after a while, kinda shocked. "Was that maybe a bad prize for you doing good?" "Huh?" He showed my the paper with a smile on his face. I passed all.
I couldn't hold back the excitement. I threw the paper on the ground and jumped onto him for a hug. "Hahaaaa yes." "I knew you'd do well. Just saying." He said tiredly. A smile grew on my face as I looked at him. "That was a lame prize. So short~". His eyes widened a bit before it went back to normal. "Well that wasn't the whole prize. Someone pulled away." He strugged.
I came down from him and then he held onto my face and continued kissing me. We stumbled back and I fell onto the couch. "Sorry." He said in between. "I'm fine."
He came onto the couch and was now ontop of me. "Can I?" "Yea." He slid his hand under my shirt and held onto my waist. I flinched at his cold hand but it was good after a while. He held onto my shirt and took it off. "Not the ideal place to do this huh?" I joked and he smiled as he kissed my neck and went down. "Wana go somewhere else?" "......nah."
I pushed him off me gently and got up. When he sat down, I went and sat on top of him. Both my hands were flung over his shoulders and playing with his hair while we kissed. I pulled on his shirt and he looked at me. "What? It's unfair that only I'm shirtless." He leaned back and I pulled off his shirt. And threw it somewhere.
I rested my head on his shoulder and kissed his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I felt my jeans loosen and his finger running up and down my back. "We're not gonna get anywhere by just kissing." He whispered in my ear and I felt my face heat up. "I know." "You sure." I nodded yes and felt his hands travel up my thighs. My breath hitched as he probably left a mark on my neck.
"Y/n, I lo-" his sentence was cut off by a sound coming from the shop. We both froze and heard another sound. "Isn't the shop closed." He nodded yes. His hand moved from my thigh as he held onto my waist. He lifted me up a bit, put me to the side and got up. "Shin, we should call the cops." He nodded as he walked over to his tool box. "H-hey. Don't go out there. They could have weapons." I said as I ran infront of him. He got his shirt and put it on before looking at me,.."I'll just check. You stay here." When he said that, he kissed my forehead and went.
I should go. Yeah. It could be dangerous. I buckled back my belt and put on my shirt before starting to walk there but I immediately started running when I heard a loud thud. "Shinichiro!" That voice. "SHINICHIRO!" "Keisuke." "Y-y/n." I heard the teary voice of a child call out to me.
I looked at the ground and I wish I never saw what I did. "Shin." I went towards him and slid on the ground before facing him. "Nonono. Stay with me. You're fine. Come on get up." His head was bleeding and I think I was about to have a panic attack. I felt tears stream down my face as I rested my hand on his cheek. "Shin" I said in a teary tone.
I closed my eyes but then felt a hand on my face. I opened it and saw him with a smile on his face. "Hahhhhhh, you're ok." "Y/n,..I,.." "I can't hear you. Wait don't talk as yet, I'll call an ambulance." His smile was soft as he kept his hold on my face. I leaned in closer to him. "I,.. love you.. so much."
A single tears rolled down my cheek when he said that last word. I didn't feel anymore breath coming out from his mouth.
My hands were shaking as I stepped back. "Y/n." The teary tone was heard again. I looked to the side of me and saw a crying Keisuke. "What did you do Kei." "I-I'm sorry" he started to cry and I looked at the other boy in the room who was mumbling to himself. I got up, still shaking and went to the phone to call the ambulance. I kept telling myself that he's not dead but I don't know how long I can keep that up.
After I ended the call, I went back to Shin. I tried to stay calm. I rested my head on his chest to listen for a heart and I felt his pulse. Nothing. Nothing at all. Kei was crying the boy was mumbling and I just rested my head on him. Tears flowed down my face and I silently cried. "*whisper..I love you to Shin,........Alot."
