"You're overreacting!" Shu yelled from inside his apartment.
"We're not going anywhere! Got it!?" Valt yelled, "You can't blade Shu and you know it!"
Shu grit his teeth and grabs Valt's shoulder, "Listen!" He yelled.
"Stop!" You yelled after getting ignored again, "Stop fighting, I can't take it anymore!"
Both Valt and Shu looked at you with wide eyes, the last thing they wanted was to make you upset.
8 HOURS EARLIER
"Shu Kurenai, Hu Tao and Valt Aoi," Principal Shinoda said, "On behalf of the entire school I'd like to congratulate you,"
You three were getting praised for making it to the finals in the district tournament. Shu was satisfied, but you and Valt weren't in the best mood because of Shu's shoulder.
"We are all so proud that three students from our school have made it all the way to the Beyblade district finals," the principal continued, "We know you'll do your best at the tournament, both of you."
"Thank you very much, sir," Shu smiled.
"Mhm..." You nodded, not trying to sound too rude.
"Anything you want to say to people watching the school webcast? Come on! What about a handshake," the girl beside the boy holding the camera said.
You glared at her but it only lasted for a second when you reminded yourself she doesn't know Shu's injured.
You three glanced at each other and you ad Valt put your right hands up, Valt and Shu were about to go first, but you and Valt noticed Shu's left hand was up and quickly changed hands.
After Valt and Shu completed their handshake, You and Valt shook hands, then you and Shu.
Both males were secretly upset your handshake was over, they liked the feeling of your soft skin on theirs.
The rest of the beyclub were watching in the lobby, not bothering to hide their jealousy.
"I assume you two got tickets," Rantaro said in a cold manner.
"I'm gonna sneak my way in with Ken," Keru said.
"Yeah, same with me," Besu added.
"I wish it was me up on that stage," Daigo admitted.
"Same here, but at least I get some coaching credit," Rantao said, obviously implying Valt.
"Really?!" Besu deadpanned.
"I don't need the spotlight," Rantaro spoke highly of himself.
"I can't believe they made it. Gonna be epic," Daigo said.
At the school, Toko, Nika and Sora were watching the live stream on Toko's tablet.
"Shu always looks so cool!" Nika fangirled, Sora was used to it by now but that didn't mean she didn't think it wasn't weird.
"Look at Valt, he's usually so hyper," Toko pointed out.
"Big sister too, yesterday she was so excited for the finals," Sora added.
"I wonder if they're nervous about the big game..." Toko said.
Nika and Sora frowned, Nika looked closer at Valt's face as Sora did the same to yours.
"Alright!" The boy holding the camera said, "We got what we needed, we'll make sure to do a follow up later on,"
You, Valt and Shu looked forward again.
"Okay, you three, do your school proud," Principal Shinoda said and put his hands on Valt and Shu's shoulder a little hard, adding fuel to the fire.
You and Valt looked at Shu with concerning eyes.
You took a deep breath, trying not to let out your stress on Principal Shinoda, you were like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode today.

With Valt, Ken, Daigo and Rantaro.
"What are you doing? Pay attention!" Rantaro scolded.
Valt gasps and gets into position.
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"Let it rip!" Only Rantaro launched his bey into the stadium.
"Wakey! Wakey!" Rantaro got Valt's attention and he weakly launched Valtyrek into the stadium.
It was hitting the walls, barely spinning.
"Where's our dark horse!" Rantaro yelled as Valtryek lost all of its stamina and stopped spinning.
"Hey! What's up, it's been nothing but failed launches today?" Rantaro asked.
"Sorry," Valt said.
"Ain't nothing, just don't do it again," Rantaro said and started to walk over to Valt when Daigo blocked his way.
"Just go easy on him, okay?" Daigo said.
"You think you'll be Hu Tao or Shu in the finals playing like that?" Keru said.
"Keep it together," Besu added.
Valt grumbled.
"Gotta get your head back in the game, you're battling for all of us, we didn't make it but you did," Rantaro pointed out, "we'll be with you all the way,"
"Yeah, I know," Valt muttered.
"Then cut the moping and start the smiling!" Rantaro yelled as Daigo put his hand in front of him to block his way.
"Hold on, is there something you're not telling us?" Daigo asked, Rantaro hummed in confusion.
"Oh, dude..." Rantaro breathed out, realizing Daigo was right.
"Come on man, tell us what's up," Daigo said
Valt stayed silent.
"You know we've got your back, now, what's bugging you?" Daigo said.
"Being in this club, it's like we're a family, right?" Valt spoke up.
"Sure," Daigo said.
"I don't know..." Valt said.
"If you're really worried about something, you have to let us help," Daigo stated.
Valt looked at Rantaro, who nodded, then he looked at Ken, who was smiling.
"Spill the beans," Keru said.
"Wait, but I just ate," Besu joked.
Valt looked down to the floor again, he was sniffling and had tears in his eyes.
Rantaro fist-bumped Valt's chest.
"That's my dose of touchy feeling for the day, be cool," Rantaro said as Valt started to laugh and wipe his tears away.

"So Shu's shoulder isn't getting any better," Valt finished explaining to the beyclub, "what if he gets even more hurt in the finals..?"
"I don't know..." Rantaro said.
"That won't happen," Keru reassured.
"Poor guy, guess he pushed it too hard," Daigo thought aloud.
"No way man, Shu's a prodigy, he's gonna get better, you'll see," Rantaro encouraged.
"With him anything's possible," Besu pointed out.
"So you shouldn't worry about it," Keru added.
"He doesn't have much time to heal," Daigo informed.
"That's true," Besu quietly agreed.
Rantaro growled.
"All of our dreams were to fight in the finals," Valt said, implying you and Shu, "But Hu Tao and I also want him to get better. Guys, I don't know what to do,"
The rest of the beyclub hummed sadly.

You were walking around the park, you had no exact destination to where you were going, it was just a walk to clear your head.
You saw the classic park stadium, which made you remember the whole shoulder ordeal and sadly sigh.
"UGH! WHY DOES HIS SHOULDER HAVE TO BE HURT!" You yell, releasing all your frustration earning weird looks from a lot of people.
You go and sit down on the grassy slope burying your face into your knees.
"Hey...are you okay?" A voice asked, you look up at the girl.
There stood a girl with a light blue jacket all zipped up. Her indigo eyes were filled with worry, light blue locks framed her face with a turquoise hair clip. After not hearing a reply, she sat down next to you. She placed a hand on your shoulder and flashed you a small smile. The little action made you feel a little better.
"Are you all right?" She asked again.
You shook your head. "Not really."
"Why's that?"
"I wouldn't want to dump all my problems on you,"
The girl smiled, "You know, I don't know you, but I know you are going through a lot of stress right now, and I happen to be a really good listener,"
You fully look at her and see her encouraging smile which made you feel better.
"My friends are in the finals in a district competition in a Beyblade match, this would normally be a good thing because we even promised to meet at the end. Except for one problem, one of my friends hurt their shoulder, and me and my other friend are worried that this friend might push themselves too hard not be able to Beyblade for good," You vented.
It was silent for a while after that as both girls gathered their thoughts.
"So what do you plan on doing?" The girl questioned, breaking the silence.
"I...don't know." You answered honestly. What could you do?
The girl stood up and walked in front of you.
"Well, moping around won't do you any good," She said in an encouraging tone.
You looked up to see her determined face.
"Try to let your friend see it from your point of view, and make sure you see it from their point of view too," She said.
"Hm..." was all you said.
She grabbed your hands and pulled you up.
"Think positive, dont let this one setback push you down, even though I dont know you, I know you can be the glue, help your friends stick together no matter what," She twirled you and herself around a bit holding on to both of your hands.
You smiled, "you're right, thanks,"
"No problem, honestly I think you were really brave the moment I heard you're a blader," She said.
"How so?" You questioned.
"I mean, how many female bladers can you run into in your life, not a lot, I want to be a blader too but..." She trailed off.
You smiled and squeezed your hands, "don't listen to anyone when they say blading is a boys' game, they're just uncultured swines,"
"If I can be a blader, anyone can," You said.
"Thanks, it's always been my dream to be a blader!" She confessed
"And when you get your bey, I promise we'll have the battle of a lifetime," You showed her your bey.
You two smiled at each other, you both helped out each other a lot.
"Well, I got to go, see you later, female blader," She said and started to halfway turn around.
You nodded, "In a while, girl with style,"
You two laughed at the nicknames you gave each other before taking off in different directions.

"I'm home mom..." Valt sadly said.
"How was your day kiddo? You must be hungry!" Chiharu said.
After receiving no reply, Chiharu continued, "I left a snack on the kitchen table for you..." she said in a tempting manner, it didn't work though, Valt just kept walking up the stairs.
"Did something happen?" Chiharu asked the twins.
"Usually he goes straight for the fridge," Toko pointed out, "maybe he's just too nervous to eat right now?"
"If I was gonna battle Hu Tao, I'd be pretty nervous too," Nika said.
"If you practice enough maybe someday you will," Toko said.
In Valt's room, he could hear the muffled voices of the twins.
"Do you think he even knows my name?" Nika joked.
Toko laughed, "Come on, let's practice."
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"Let it rip!"
"Alright, nice one!"
"That's not gonna work on me,"
"Oh yeah? Watch this,"
"Huh? Aw man..."
Valt was lying on his bed looking at Valtryek when he got a flashback.
Flashback from 1.5 years ago
"Hey, I just got my bey!" Shu's voice ran through Valt's phone, "Wanna meet me in the park?"
"You got it, I'm leaving right now," Valt said and hung up and ran out of the bakery.
Valt yelled as he ran, but he accidentally slipped on a banana peel in the middle of the sidewalk and fell down the grass slope.
But that definitely didn't stop him, he ran up the slope higher.
"SHU!" Valt yelled, extending the 'u' until he got to the park.
"What took you so long?" Shu joked.
Valt was still out of breath, so he didn't say anything.
"And this is my bey," Shu held up Spryzen, "Spryzen,"
"Nice one," Valt breathed out, "It's pretty cool,"
Valt held out Valtryek, "Still, it doesn't stand a chance against Valtryek,"
"For now, maybe not, but just so you know I'm gonna train super hard,"
"Oh yeah?" Valt said.
Shu nodded.
"Alright, on your mark, let's do this thing," Valt said.

"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"Let it rip!"
Valtryek knocked out Spryzen.
"Yeah! Another win for me!" Valt cheered.
Shu sighed and walked over to pick up his bey, "I think that launched failed cause my arm was moving, one more time, I need to practice!"
"I'm kinda tired, can't we take a break and chill?" Valt proposed.
"Not yet, I have to build muscle memory, I'm so close. I gotta have perfect technique," Shu said.
"Ok, ok. Let's go," Valt said and kneeled down to pick up his bey.
"Hey," Shu said.
"Huh?" Valt said.
"This is fun," Shu smiled, "thanks for practising with me,"
"No prob," Valt said.
"Cool, I appreciate it but I have to train to get this right." Shu looked at Spruzen with a determined face. "I'll master this, I owe it to my bey,"
"Let it rip!"
"Before I knew it, Shu was better than I was," Valt said in a voiceover, "then he entered the district tournament,
Shu was versing Wakiya in the finals.
The rest of the Aoi children were watching from the crowd.
"If he wins he'll go to the nationals," Nika said.
"He's so cool," Toko thought aloud.
"He was born to do this wasn't he, what a natural... We are rooting for ya!" Nika fangirled.
"You know what to do! Go, Shu!" Valt cheered.
"Now for our final showdown between Shu Kurenai and Wakiya Murasaki," Hanami said, "two serious contenders,"

"Yes! Go Spryzen!" Shu cheered as Wyvron reached the centre and Spryzen went to attack it.
Spryzen was doing a dance over Wyvron's defence and launching a number of attacks.
"Hold on! Withstand it!" Wakiya said.
"Finish it Spryzen!" Shu said.
Spryzen burst Wyvron.
"Ouch! Wyvron bursts big time!" Wakiya said.
Shu pulled his hair up doing his signature pose but there was no scar there.
"Ever since then, I've been trying to catch up to him," Valt continued in his voiceover
End of Flashback.
"But now that we are facing off in the finals along with Hu Tao..." Valt said to himself.
"You called?" Your voice said.
Valt sat up and looked at you.
"Hu Tao? How long have you been here?" Valt asked, dumbfounded.
"Long enough," You sighed, "Sora wanted to come over,"
You sat on his bed beside him.
"What are we gonna do?" You sighed.

You and Valt were outside of Shu's apartment, you were pacing around, thinking of what to do.
"Hu Tao, we should just ring the doorbell," Valt said.
You stopped pacing around and looked at him, you slowly nodded and rang the doorbell.
"What are you two doing here?" Shu questioned.
"Shu, Valt and I have been talking and we think, you should drop the match," you said in a light voice.
"Excuse me?" Shu said, you flinched, it was clear he sounded offended.
"Y-Your shoulder hurts, and the doctor said that you need to t-take it easy for a bit, I shouldn't have let you verse Enzo," You pleaded.
"Calm down," Shu said in a defensive tone taking a step forward, "Man, I think I know my own limits okay? Don't jump to conclusions."
You looked over to Valt, hoping that he would say the next thing.
"If you're not going to forfeit the match, then I guess Hu Tao and I will," Valt said.
You looked at him with wide eyes.
"Woah, let's just relax here..." You said but was ignored.
"Dont you dare," Shu warned.
"Shu..." You said but was ignored again.
"We're not going anywhere! Got it!?" Valt yelled, "You can't blade Shu and you know it!"
Shu grit his teeth and grabs Valt's shoulder, "Listen!" He yelled.
"Stop!" You yelled after getting ignored again, "Stop fighting, I can't take it anymore!"
Both Valt and Shu looked at you with wide eyes, the last thing they wanted was to make you upset.
"I'm sorry," You said in a quieter tone, Shu and Valt's gaze softened at you.
"I... have to go," you said and walked out of the apartment.

"Hey, all you bladers! The day you've all been waiting for is here! The finals! Could any of you sleep last night? I couldn't! Who's gonna win these epic battles!" Hanami commentated.
Toko, Nika and Sora were pushing through the crowd.
Toka and Sora were a little ahead of Nika.
"Wait for me Toko! Sora!" Nika complained.
"Well hurry then, I don't want to miss the start," Toko said and took off.
"I said wait up," Nika said.
Sora ran back and grabbed Nika's hand.
"Come on," She said and started running to catch up with Toko.
But Nika couldn't run as fast as Sora could and tripped over her own two feet, tripping Sora in the process.
Both of the girls screamed and braced for impact but never got it.
They were picked up and raised pretty high.
"There you go, that was close,"
A tall person said with a big smile. His attire consists of a tight black top that exposed his midriff, with a red fur-trim vest that has a belt type fastener at the bottom over it. He wears brown pants with two red stripes at the end of each leg, a yellow belt, and a black gauntlet over his arms.
Sora smiled, "Oh, Xander..." She said in her light voice.
"Xander?!" Nika exclaimed. "I didn't even recognize you!"
Xander laughed and set them down.
"What's up? Man you guys have grown, remember me?" Xander said to the twins but mainly said the last part to Toko.
"Uh? Maybe?" Toko said, Sora and Nika giggled.
"You were pretty small, so I wouldn't hold a grudge," Xander said.
Toko finally realized.
"XANDER!" He exclaimed and went to hug him.
Nika and Sora laughed again but also went in to hug Xander.
Xander laughed and picked up the Toko, Nika and Sora.
Toko on his left arm, Nika on his right and Sora was on his shoulders.
The crowd were surprised by the giant walking among them.
"Who's that guy?" Rantaro asked.
"He's ranked in the top four nationally, Alexander Shakadera, called 'Xander' for short," Daigo explained.
"Wonder what it feels like to be that tall." Rantaro thought aloud.
"He can see everything," Keru said.
"Those three got the best seat in the house," Besu added, referring to Toko, Nika and Sora.

You, Valt and Shu were sitting in the waiting room awkwardly, Shu and Valt were worried about you while you were thinking of how to apologize to them.
After a few more moments of silence, you and Valt spoke up.
"I'm sorry," You two said at the same time facing each other.
Shu immediately chuckled at the two of you, which caused you two to start giggling yourself.
"Sorry, you go first," Valt said.
"I'm sorry for just walking out of your apartment yesterday," You said, "it was immature of me to run away from the problems," You apologized to Valt and Shu.
They both smiled, "that's okay!" Valt said with his cheeky smile.
"And we're sorry for ignoring you and making you upset," Shu said, Valt nodded in agreement.
"All good, but it seems you two worked out the problem," You said.
They nodded, "Yup! Shu's never been better Hu Tao," Valt said, you smiled but for some reason, you had doubt in his words.
"Can you believe it? Just thinking about battling in the finals!" Valt fidgeted around his seat, "I'm getting so excited!"
"Yeah," You and Shu said at the same time, Shu blushed at this while you thought nothing of it.
Suddenly, the door opened, all three of you hummed in confusion.
"Hey, what'd I miss? It's been a while hasn't it?" Xander remarks, walking into the room.
"Xander!" The three of you said at the same time.
You and Valt get up but Valt runs toward him.
"I heard the three of you would be clashing and I just couldn't help myself," Xander explained, "couldn't miss this, it's gonna be sweet,"
"Still remember our bey bump?" Valt said, sticking his fist out.
"You know it," Xander fist-bumped with Valt, accidentally knocking him to the ground.
You chuckled and approached them.
"I didn't know you two knew Xander," You laughed, helping Valt up.
Shu approached last and walked beside you, "I didn't know you knew Xander either,"
"What do you guys mean? You all know each other," Xander said.
You hummed in confusion.
Xander laughed, "don't tell me you guys forgot, am I the only one that remembers?"
You all sweatdropped at him.
Xander grabbed Shu and Valt and pulled them to the side.
"Don't tell me you two forgot about Tao-Tao," Xander whispered to them making both their eyes go wide.
"What are you saying?" You asked, getting in front of him, confused on why he whispered to them.
"TAO-TAO!" Valt yelled so loud it hurt all of your ears.
You looked at him with wide eyes after registering what he just said.
"Oh!" You yelled, not as loud as Valt though.
"Wow, you guys are Valt and Shu!" You said, realizing.
"So now you guys remember," Xander laughed, you and Valt laughed with him.
"I'm surprised you don't remember Valt," Xander said to you, "you two were like, partners in crime,"
You see, you just realized that you were friends with Valt, Shu and Xander in kindergarten.
You noticed Shu hasn't said anything since this whole ordeal started so you looked over to him.
"You alright, Shu?" You asked.
"Just surprised..." Shu said, still with wide eyes.
You stopped worrying about him and smiled.
Xander put his hand out, "Anyway, good luck out there," He said.
Valt was the first to fis bump with him.
"Yeah! I guarantee it! It'll be epic! Am I right?!" Valt cheered.
"Totally epic," You chuckled and join the fist bump.
"Yeah," Shu said and joined he fist bump.
But Xander noticed something off about Shu.

"This guy is out of nowhere!" Rantaro complained.
"They were in kindergarten together," Toko explained.
"Yup! Valt, Shu, Xander and..." Nika trailed off.
"And?" Rantaro questioned.
"Xander's cousin..." Nika said.
"Cousin?" Sora thought aloud.
"Hey Sora, how do you know Xander?" Daigo asked.
Sora smiled, "he's my cousin,"
"COUSIN?!" The twins yell in sync.
"Yeah, and I'm pretty sure my big sister was Xander's cousin that was friends with Valt and Shu," Sora said.
"TAO-TAO!" Everyone heard Valt yell.
Everyone in the room stayed silent, recollecting what just happened until Nika finally spoke up.
"Looks like you're right," Nika smiled at Sora.
