Upon Zenitsu's high pitched shrieks, you couldn't help but flinch. As it echoed through the hallway, Aoi exasperatedly sighed, "You've got to be kidding me!" She sped up her footsteps, leading your collective group along.
As she turned into the room, Zenitsu's shrieks grew louder, "DO I HAVE TO DRINK THIS MEDICINE FOR THREE MONTHS?! NOOOOO!! IT'S SO BITTER, IT'S PAINFUL! HOW DOES THIS SHIT CURE MY ARMS AND LEGS?!"
As the butterfly triplets looked around nervously at each other, Kiyo attempted to usher Zenitsu down, "Please.. uh, be quiet..!" Zenitsu's sobs worsened, "SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME BETTER!"
You readjusted your figure upon the kakushi's back to get more comfortable, before shouting over to Zenitsu, "ZENITSU!! YOU'RE OKAY!"
The blonde snapped his head towards you, his expression relieved, "(Y/N)-CHAN!! YOU'RE NOT DEAAADD!!" Zenitsu jumped out of the bed, before attempting to make a beeline your way.
Despite this, Aoi bolted forwards, slamming Zenitsu back into the mattress, "WILL YOU SHUT THE HELL UP?! I'VE EXPLAINED THIS MANY TIMES ALREADY!! I'LL TIE YOU TO YOUR BED IF YOU DON'T KNOCK IT OFF!!"
Zenitsu let out a whimper as he cowered under Aoi's looming figure. He slivered into his mattress before concealing himself with his blankets, causing Eli to disappointedly deadpan, "Do they just let anyone become demon slayers these days? Because.. how the hell is this dude a demon slayer?"
Zenitsu twitched his eye, launching himself from under his covers, "YOU, SHUT UP!! YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!! I'M FORCED TO DRINK THIS DISGUSTING MEDICINE EVERY DAY!! IT'S TORTUREEE!!"
Tanjirou furrowed his brows, calling to Zenitsu, "Zenitsu!! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?! You went into the mountains and ended up here!!" Zenitsu sniffled, "Ta-Tanjirou.. (Y-Y/N).."
Zenitsu pounced onto each of you, dragging your legs down as he cried, "WAAHH!! TANJIROU! (Y/N)!! HEAR ME OUT, OKAY?! I GOT STABBED BY THIS STINKY SPIDER.. SO I WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN DUE TO THE POISON!! THIS GIRL KEEPS NAGGING ME AND SCOLDING ME AND IT SUCKS SO MUCH!! I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE BOTH ALIVE!!"
As you opened your mouth to answer, Sōta had beat you to it, "WOULD YOU SHUT UP, ZENITSU?! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP..!" Eli perked up, "EH?! SŌTA!?"
Sōta slowly sat up, narrowing his eyes on both you and Tanjirou, "(Y/N), Tanjirou! I'm so glad you're okay! I was so worried..!" He then turned to Eli, seething angrily, "YOU..! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME WITH THE DERANGED BOAR?!"
Eli recoiled, before defensively spitting back, "NOT MY FAULT THE DEMON LAUNCHED ME AWAY!! BESIDES, YOU GOT OUT ALIVE.. SO IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER!!"
An irk mark appeared on Sōta's forehead, "I SPRAINED MY LEG, DIPSHIT! NOT TO MENTION, I GOT A CONCUSSION TOO!! I'M SUFFERING!!" Eli stuck out his tongue, "YOU'LL BE FINE! GET OVER IT!"
Tanjirou chimed in, cutting them off, "Wait—! Speaking of Inosuke.. where is he? Also.. what about Murata-san?" Zenitsu peeled himself off of the kakushi, quirking a brow, "I dunno who Murata is, but Inosuke is right next to you.."
Both you and Tanjirou furrowed your brows, turning to the side to meet an eerily silent Inosuke. You widened your eyes, "YOU WERE HERE?! INOSUKE! YOU'RE OKAY!!" Tanjirou mimicked your expression, "EH?! HE'S REALLY JUST THERE?! I DIDN'T NOTICE!"
You wiggled off of the kakushi's back, joining Tanjirou at Inosuke's bed as he teared up, "INOSUKE..!! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!! I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T GO TO HELP YOU!!"
A moment of silence ensued the room, before he spoke in a low, scratchy voice, "I'm fine.. don't worry about me."
You, Tanjirou and Eli cringed at his voice as Eli broke the silence, "Dude, what the hell happened to your voice?! It sounds like you just got strangled.."
Sōta whipped a pillow at Eli, directly hitting him in the fact, "THAT'S BECAUSE HE DID, YOU FUCKING MORON! HE ALMOST GOT HIS HEAD CRUSHED IN THE PROCESS!!"
Eli widened his eyes once more, "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?! I WAS TRYING TO CRACK A JOKE — LIGHTEN THE MOOD, Y'KNOW?!"
You concernedly eyes Inosuke, frowning, "Inosuke..! I'm— oh my god, I'm so sorry! If only.. I was there! If I didn't get pulled into..!" You trailed off, guiltily looking to the floor, 'If only.. I got away from Rui.. he would be less injured.'
Sōta fidgeted with his fingers, "His throat got crushed by the father demon.. mine almost did too. In the end, he let out a really loud scream.. and that messed it up even more." Tanjirou cocked his head to the side, "So he did himself in..?"
Zenitsu covered his mouth using his oversized sleeve, giggling uncontrollably, "Now he's depressed and mellow out a lot. It's extremely funny for some reason! Hahaha!!"
Eli snickered, before it accelerated into hysterical laughter, "I can't tell what's funnier! The way Inosuke is eerily silent and depressed, or the way you laugh like a girl..!" Zenitsu immediately started to screech, "EH?! NO!! I DO NOT!! I DO NOT LAUGH LIKE A GIRL!! TAKE IT BACK!"
Eli wiped a fallen tear from his eye, "You do! You're just in denial!" Zenitsu frantically turned to you for help, "(Y/N)-CHAN! TELL HIM I DON'T LAUGH LIKE A GIRL!" As you burst into laughter and turned away, an imaginary arrow impaled Zenitsu.
As you interacted with your beloved companions, you couldn't help but feel you were forgetting something — or rather, someone. As you scanned the room, you furrowed your brows, 'Who's.. missing..?'
Tanjirou took notice of this, looking at you with a perplexed expression, "What's wrong, (Y/N)?" You turned back around, looking at him troubled, "I feel like I'm forgetting somebody.."
You let out a gasp, completely standing to your feet, "OH MY GOD, HOSHI!!" You whipped your head to Tanjirou, "WHERE'S HOSHI?!" Despite this, before he could even answer, you sprinted out of the room.
As you darted down the hallway, you couldn't help but think of the worst case scenario, 'What if she's dead?! Or injured?! Oh my god, what if the hashira killed her!?'
As you swiftly turned the corner, you bumped into a short figure. You fell backwards, shuddering from the sudden shockwave of pain that coursed throughout your body.
Shinobu looked down on you, brows raised, "Oh? (L/N)-san? Aren't you supposed to be resting in bed?" You regained your footing, wincing, "Shinobu..! Have you.. seen a chipmunk?!"
She raised a brow, revealing Hoshi on her shoulder, "Oh, you mean this one? Despite my hatred for small creatures.. I had no choice but to take her from Kamado-san."
You let out a relieved chuckle as you scooped her up and nuzzled her against your cheek, "HOSHI!! I'M SO SORRY, WAAHH!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO LEAVE YOU BEHIND!! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!! THANK YOU, SHINOBU!"
Shinobu sweat dropped as she kept her smile intact, "I'm relieved that chipmunk is out of my hair, now. Nonetheless, I'm glad you two are reunited. You know, it's quite a coincidence we bumped into each other, I was just on my way to look for you!"
You perked up, turning your attention back to Shinobu, "Huh—? Oh, well.. uh, I'm here now. Did you need something?" Shinobu enthusiastically clapped her hands, "Just a few blood tests, if you don't mind..!"
You quirked a brow confusedly, "A blood test..? But, why?" She motioned for you to follow her, and on the way, she explained, "I couldn't help but realize that you regenerate.. and it just so happens to be that you're not a demon. I'd like to figure out the cause of your regenerative ability."
As you were too overtired to comprehend her words entirely, you merely nodded, blinking, "Okay.. let's do it, then..!"

The next thing you knew, Shinobu had sat you down within an isolated room, before she left to fetch her syringe. As Hoshi curled up on your shoulder asleep, you merely awkwardly sat by yourself.
You swung your feet back and forth nervously as you attempted to soothe your mind. Truthfully, you despised needles. You had always hated them — your doctor always had to force you to stand still in order to receive a shot.
As the door creaked open, you perked up, "Shinobu, are you sure we have to— oh!" Instead of Shinobu, Kanao stood in her place.
Taken aback, you struggled to make up words, "Uh, hey! I.. uh, it's nice to see you again! Are you looking for Shinobu? She left a couple minutes ago.." Kanao flipped her copper coin, sending it into the air before gravity pulled it back down.
After taking a peek at the side it landed on, she rose her voice, "Sorry, it appears I've walked into the wrong room. Goodbye, now." You reached out a hand, "Wai—! Nevermind.. she's already gone."
You blinked confusedly, before sighing, "Oh, come on.. I wanted to talk to her..! Am I that scary..?!"
Minutes flew by, and soon enough, Shinobu walked back into the room — needle in hand. You shivered under the sight of it, but greeted her nonetheless, "Hi, Shinobu..! Welcome back!"
Shinobu offered you a gentle smile, "Thank you, (L/N)-san!" Placing the needle on a nearby table, she then made her way over to you and rolled up your uniform sleeve.
As it revealed the immense amount of dried blood and scratches on your arm, you cringed. She began to prep your forearm as you looked up to her, "You don't have to use any formalities! Please, just call me (Y/N).."
Shinobu softened her eyes, "Ah.. I see. I'll call you (Y/N) from now on. I take it as a 'foreigner' thing?" You nodded as she finished cleaning your shoulder, before placing the needle into her fingertips.
You began to sweat, panicking inwardly, 'GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!!'
As she made her way back towards you, you began to quietly squeal nervously. Shinobu took notice of this, "This shouldn't take too long to extract. Do you want me to count down?"
Turning your head in the other direction, you replied with a strained voice, "Yes..! Please..!" Shinobu chirped out, "Okay! Three, two, one!"
As she injected the syringe into your vein, it caused a small pinching sensation. You squeezed your eyes shut, whimpering, 'When will this be over..! When will this be over?!''
After a few seconds, she removed the now blood filled syringe and bandages, "Okay..! All done." You turned to Shinobu, blinking away your nervousness, "Let me know if it shows any results.. I've been trying to find it out for three years now."
You stood up, before following the hashira out of the room. Shinobu turned to you, "Do you need me to walk you back? Any lightheadedness?" You shook your head, dismissively waving her off, "No, it's okay! I can get back on my own. Bye!"
You each bid goodbye, walking in the opposite directions of eachother. However, it wasn't before long you realized you had no idea where you were. You groaned annoyingly, "Oh, come on! Not again..!!"
You scoured the estate for anywhere you recognized, but alas, still was clueless of where you were. You turned countless corners, searching for a kakushi to escort you back; with your luck, nobody was in sight.
Soon enough, you heard distant footsteps coming in your direction. You turned around, making eye contact with the butterfly triplets. You sighed relievedly, "Oh, thank god! I was, uh.. I got lost..! Can you help me get back to my room?"
The girls frenziedly whispered to each other, causing you to butt in confusedly, "I'm (Y/N).. I promise I don't bite!" The girl with pigtails whispered, "H-Hi.. I'm.. S-Sumi.."
The girl that resided next to her, wearing braids, continued her introduction, "I'm Naho..!" Finally, the girl with her hair down finished it off, "And I'm Kiyo!"
You crouched down to their levels, "Hi! Nice to meet you three. I got lost! So.. can you please help me back to my room?" They all nodded excitedly, before leading you in the correct direction.
As you followed them, you were overcome by a sudden wave of dizziness. You bumped into the wall before leaning on it, gaining worried expressions from the triplets. Kiyo rushed over to you, "(Y/N), are you okay?"
You dismissively waved her off with a shaky laugh, "Haha, yeah.. I'm fine, just.. uh, just a little tired, y'know? Long night on the mountain.."
You attempted to walk again — the biggest mistake you had made that day. Once you did, you felt your vision blur, as your hearing muffled rapidly. Your knees buckled, causing your body to go limp. Before you hit the ground, everything had went black.

Once you came to, it didn't take too long to realize that you were back within your bed — the soft feeling of a mattress beneath your aching body, and a fluffy pillow resting under your throbbing head.
Cracking your eyes open, you forced yourself to slowly sit up, scanning your surroundings. Glancing to the side of you, you figured out that your bed resided between Tanjirou's and Zenitsu's.
Your companions were peacefully sleeping away, which left you awkwardly sitting in a dead-silent room once more, causing you to sweat drop, 'They're.. asleep.'
Looking downwards, you observed that you wore the same comfortable clothes the boys wore, along with your hairpin resting on the nightstand next to you.
The door creaked open, revealing Aoi. You each locked eyes, causing hers to widen drastically. She marched over to you, whisper yelling, "You're finally awake..!" Quirking a brow, you cocked your head to the side, "Huh? What do you mean?"
She exasperatedly sighed, "You fainted in the hallway, remember? Luckily.. Naho, Kiyo and Sumi were there to help you.. or else we would've found you much later..! It's been three whole days since!"
You widened your eyes, "EHH?! THREE DAYS!?"
