MAY 15th 2021
A lobby with eight houses with two lifts and a staircase connecting the apartment with seven other floors in the middle of the floor with four houses in each corner and two emergency staircases attached to each floor in both corners. A boy reaches the floor from the staircase and walks to the left part of the floor with a bag full of 1 kg of potatoes in it.
He presses the doorbell to his house when he notices the house beside the house opposite to his. (Basically, diagonal to his house) He is wearing half pants and a long t-shirt, he has short regular styled hair and has grown a light beard. Then a girl appears from the emergency staircase in the boy's corner, she is wearing a check shirt with short jeans and has curtain bangs on top. She is carrying a cardboard filled stuff, the boy noticed someone climbing the staircase as it was rarely used then she saw her climbing, she smiled and nodded to her when she looked at him, then he turned to his but then felt self-realization that: that's a very pretty girl! But he couldn't turn to her now or else he might be termed as the creep in the scenario
"Hey" a voice stroke his ears and he turned with his mouth moving automatically making him say Hello in return, he somehow contained his awkwardness to himself and stood in a confident with his hands in back. "Umm..Hi" said the boy
"Tanya" said the girl
"Rakul" said the boy
She then nodded while smiling
"Shifted here today!"
"Yeah, I could see that"
"How?"
"Last I checked this house was empty, so I did the math"
"Wow! Is this house that pretty that you look at it every day?"
Rakul chuckled to Tanya
"I didn't mean that!" said Rakul while chuckling
Tanya nodded as if saying she understood what he meant
"I ain't gonna steal your potatoes"
"Sorry?"
"Why are you hiding the bag of potatoes in the back?"
"Oh no no! I just stand like this, I was in NCC"
"Oh! Congratulations"
"Yeah, it led me nowhere"
"Oh! I am sorry then"
Rakul chuckled more this time then he noticed the box
"Umm...don't you think you should?" he pointed at the box which made her jump and realize she was carrying something heavier than potatoes
"Yeah, I should definitely put these back and you..."
"Yeah my...door might get unlocked any time now!" said Rakul looking at his door.
"See you around"
His door unlocked at that same instant
"Yeah, ciao" he said and ran inside with the potatoes
Tanya snooped out of her door arch and looked at his house, she felt a rushing feeling of enthusiasm and happiness at the same time
And the word 'ciao' triggered this.
EVENING
Rakul entered the lobby carrying his bag on the back from the lift, upon reaching he found his door locked with a padlock hanging and Tanya sitting on the emergency
stairs near her house listening to music.
"Hi!" said Tanya to Rakul
Rakul saw Tanya smiled and nodded, Tanya made a very cute frowning face which made Rakul chuckle.
"Are you afraid to talk to me or something?" asked Tanya
"Why would I be?" asked Rakul pretty confidently.
"Maybe the other two houses might listen to you that's why!" said Tanya walking toward the house opposite to her and stood leaning on the door.
"I ain't afraid" said Rakul assuringly
"You are not?" asked Tanya
nodded Rakul with a blush
"Well then explain them why pressed the bell" Tanya then pressed the bell twice to the house she was leaning onto then ran down the emergency stairs!
Rakul for the moment didn't understand what to do, he couldn't run because they might know it was him and the moment arrived and the door opened and a middle aged
woman appeared from the inside. She Rakul with a generic face then raised her right hand towards him holding something.
"Here's the key kiddo" the woman gave Rakul a key which he identified in no time that it was to his own house.
"Thank you, aunty!" he said and waited for her to return inside and lock the door, then he ran to the railings of the stairs and looked down trying to find her but
she was out of sight!
Rakul then unlocked the door and went inside, whatever he experienced then was a very wild thing he experienced in a while.
MAY 16TH, 4:16 pm
Rakul went to the parking lot to go to his tuition on his scoot, nearby there's a field with a stage where societal functions took place, there were few children at the moment who were playing there and some people were sitting on the edges of the stage hanging their legs talking to each other among which Tanya was one. She saw Rakul start his scoot and called his name out loud!
Rakul's awkward face came to full display but this was not his nervousness but a face of figuring out what type of person is this.
Tanya ran to him and climbed upon the seat of his scoot.
"Sorry for yesterday! I think I owe yiu an explanation"
Rakul took off his helmet and looked at Tanya in a clueless face, all his questions were piling up in his mind but his mind was racing, one part thought to let go because it was just a prank but the other part was like not even a day was passed till that point for the frankness to forgive a prank like that!
Rakul decided to tell her off and he opened his mouth to say and then
"See your mother was going somewhere and she saw me on the stairs, she told me that she left the key with the neighbour and tell you about it as she didn't take her phone" said Tanya very earnestly and Rakul knew that she isn't lying as his mother had a habit of not taking her phone if she ever went somewhere nearby.
"So what you prank me into taking my key?" asked Rakul with a smirk
"Well, otherwise I would have told you about the key first hand and you had unlocked the door, without....greeting me!" said Tanya while biting her lips
"Umm....did you want me to greet you first?"
"Maybe"
Tanya then turned and started walking back to the stage area leaving Rakul overwhelmingly clueless.
Tanya while walking turned
"Your mother also told we are in the same class. SO CAN YOU HELP ME IN INTEGRALS TOMORROW?"
Rakul with his clueless face turned to Tanya and shouted the term integrals as a question
"YEAH, COME AT 5 IF YOU'RE FREE, OKAY?"
Tanya reached the stage and climbed on it and continued talking to another girl sitting beside her, Rakul put on the helmet and rode the scoot out of the compound with a secret blush only he could feel in his face
Tanya had one too
MAY 17th, 5:05 pm
Rakul rang her bell and started recapping everything that happened in the past two days. Did she mean that she has a certain keenness on him or was she just messing with him like another prank! Whatever it was he didn't want to figure it out at that moment, he just wanted to live whatever was happening.
The door opened and she greeted him with her full white teeth in full display, she gestured him to come in and sit on the couch near the door.
"So, what part is troubling you in the chapter?"
"Well, I have done the homework just now and I wanted to chill, so will you join me or you are busy?"
"Well not exactly but I am a total potato when comes to chill with"
"Like the one your mother ordered you to get that day?"
"More round than that"
She chuckled but then made a frowning face
"I just need some company and you are free and I am free so let's do something, I will make the whole situation interesting I promise"
Rakul sighed then made an appealing frowning face giving her a green circle
Both went to her room, in her room there was a wall filled with only her pictures and her family pictures, some boxes were still not opened and there was a big study table with a laptop on it.
Rakul stood in the room while Tanya pulled a chair from her dinning table set for him.
"Aren't your parents home?"
"No, but they know you were coming so don't worry"
"Why would I worry?"
"Well, whatever I have seen so far of you I thought to mention"
Rakul just quietly nodded and stood there, he got what she meant by it and he thought to himself that he was the most boring to be ever born in this eternity, then Tanya switched on the laptop and gestured him to sit beside him on the chair.
She opened a folder called Star Wars and it had many films from Star Wars franchise.
"Help me understand this! Should I start with episode 1 or episode 4?" asked Tanya
Rakul was shocked to find she wanted to watch Star Wars with him! He was just thinking whether it was a dream or a hallucination. Whatever it was he was good at this so he could explain anything, but to clarify
"You watch.... Star Wars?"
"Never watched it but read in reddit that its an awesome experience but no one in circle has seen the classic ones and they didn't like the new ones. So, I thought maybe, you know something about this franchise"
"Well I know a great deal but I am not a nerd or somethi-
-Come on man! I am the one asking you about this not you telling me first hand, I love sci fi and action too. I don't watch only K dramas and rom coms!"
Rakul was mesmerized from those words as if he was in heaven but he stopped his virtual drooling and turned to the screen to see the film list
"See don't watch the prequels, long story short a good guy turned evil because he was manipulated by the actual evil guy and this good guy turned evil is Darth Vader and his transformation is shown through episodes 1 to 3 and they are not at all good. So, watch from episode 4 to 6 as they are the best"
Tanya was looking at Rakul explaining him the whole thing longingly
"So 'A new hope' it is" Tanya said and she played Star Wars episode 4
The title appeared on the screen and Tanya immediately turned to Rakul
"Do you like me?"
"Yes! WHAT?"
