Ok, so I am just going to go tell my mom that you're going to stay here for a week and that she can't tell anyone if they ask. Ashley said a bit nervous while fiddling with her fingers.
Thank you so much I said and hot up and gave her a hug. She walked out the door and I put my suit case beside her dresser, moving it out of the way.
Ashley mom bursted into the room and Ashley walked in behind her a bit scared.
Oh my god! Ashley's mom yelled. What happened to you she ran over and hugged me. I started to tear up. Holy shit how much can I cry in one day I thought to myself. Oh I'm so sorry said her mom.
I wiped away tears and Ashley's mom ran into the bathroom and grabbed me some meds.
She's a nurse just like my mom, that how me and Ashley became friends, through our parents.
Please don't tell my mom I whispered.
Oh hunny! Ashley's mom handed me a few pills and a glass of water. I'm going to have to at some point she said. Just not any time soon. She smiled, causing me to smile.
Thank you I said then I downed the pills and Ashley asked her mom to leave so we could change then go to bed.

The next morning......
I woke up and reached for my phone. It was only 7:30am I tried to go back to sleep but once I'm awake I can't go back to sleep.
So I got up and walked into Ashley's bathroom, stripped off my clothes and hopped in the shower.
The hot water relaxed my bruised body, I washed my hair and body.
I just stood there for a while trying to think this all over, not feeling that this was real.
I finally got out of the shower wiping the fog from the mirror noticing that my face was more swollen then when I got in the shower.
I can't wait to get away from my step dad. Never see his face again or any of the cuts and bruises that he has given me.
I walked over to my suitcase and grabbed a pair of ROOTS jogging pants, a black V-Neck and undergarments. I walked back into the bathroom and changed.
When I walked out Ashley wasn't there, I walked out of her bedroom and walked up the stairs and smelt bacon Mmmm Bacon I said out loud. I heard a familiar laugh in the kitchen, I sat at her kitchen island thing.
Ashley turned around and grabbed some medicine and a cup of juice and handed it to me and said "You need to take these, they will make you feel better".
I sighed and to the pills and gulped some juice. Thank- she cut me off. "I already know Emily, you keep saying it, there's no need ok, you would do the same for me, she walked over and hugged me tightly, I whined a little, she apologized and went back too cooking.
After we ate food we went into her living room and watched Netflix all day.
We basically watched every season of "The Walking Dead" and like 20 movies, it was great.
After the movies we made a plan for when I left, I would write a note that I was leaving and that there was no point in finding me and how that I'm 18 now and I can make my own decisions for myself. All the I'm 18 and parents can't control me crap. Yeah.
