I woke up this morning got in the shower, whenever I shower all these thoughts rush into my head uncontrollably. The top thing on my mind right now is what y/n did last night. Was it a signal? Does she like me back? Should I tell her how I feel? No I shouldn't, I couldn't. Maybe I get Bryce to tell Harper and Harper tell y/n... no that's cheesy. Wtf Jacob it's not that complicated. I got out the shower and the only thing I could think about was y/n so I decided to text her
I got up and changed into some sweats a white tee and flannel and got in the car to go to y/ns
I got to y/ns and went inside, I didn't knock cause I come here to often for that I practically live here
Me: Y/n!!! I'm heree!
As soon as I said that y/n flew down the stairs and jumped into my arms. She's done this once and it was a while ago, she only does it when something's wrong or she really missed me. I'm not complaining tho I honestly love when she does it.
Me: damn someone's happy to see me
Y/n didn't say anything back and just hugged me, I couldn't see her face cause it was facing the other way so I couldn't tell if she was happy, sad, angry idk. I just held her until she felt like getting down
Me: is everything okay? Are you okay?
Y/n got down and looked up at me with tears in her eyes. Fuck. She's been crying, I hate seeing her cry it makes me want to cry too
Me: What's wrong what happened?!
Y/n: I- uhm *sniffles* he-
She was so choked up she couldn't get a single word out. I need to know, who did it, he what?? I pulled her into my arms and held her close just letting her cry it out.
After a good 5 minutes and she stopped crying
Me: okay what happened?
Y/n: ... he left. Again..
For fucks sake I hate this guy with a fucking passion. He comes in and out of her life all the time and it's so fucking stupid.
Y/n: I really t-thought he would stay this time
Y/n: I mean... he's my dad I don't wanna just block him from my life but.... Maybe I need to
Me: it'd be best
Y/n: ... yeah.... I know
I want to push him off Mount Everest and watch him fall. This is the 7th time he's done this. I picked her up and walked up to her room since we had been standing in front of the front door for the past 10 minutes. I sat on her bed with her still holding onto me slightly crying. I'm so glad I came over today, I would hate for her to go through this alone.
Y/n: Jacob?
Me: yeah?
Y/n: can you stay the night please my mom has to work until 3am and I don't want to be home alone
Me: of course
Y/n: thanks
I've spent the night at her house about a thousand times so this shouldn't be weird at all.
20 minutes passed and I'm pretty sure y/n fell asleep , her arms are still wrapped around my shoulders and legs around my waist. I stood up and laid her down in her bed and sat next to her just scrolling through tiktok.
*2 hours later*
I was still scrolling through tiktok and y/n started to toss and turn, I paused and watched with a concerned look on my face.
Y/n: NOO DONT LEAVE ME AGAIN PLEASE ...PLEASE
She screamed and screamed, it finally processed in my head what was happening
Me: hey hey hey calm down it's ok, it's a dream
Y/n fully woke up and flew over to me crying.
She calmed down after 5 minutes
Y/n: that wasn't a dream, I was just reliving what happened in a more dramatic way
Me: let's order food and watch tv to try and get your mind off things
Y/n: can we get (ur fav restaurant)
Me: ofc hold on I'll order it
We waited for the food to get delivered and turned on her favorite show, she didn't leave my side once, I liked it but the reason why she's doing it hurts to think about.
Y/n: Jacob?
Me: hm?
Y/n: is it my fault he keeps leaving us?
Me: What? No ofc not. It's his fault. He's dumb as hell for doing it to, you and your mom deserve so much better than that asshole
She didn't respond. I hate that she even thought that it was her fault.
The food got here and I went to go grab it from the front step when I looked up and saw a man standing at the bottom of the steps.
