This morning I woke up had my morning shower and got dressed
Put on the sweat suit that Stef brought me from old Navy. She spoils me so well, for breakfast I had creamer wheat, toast, yogurt and apple juice to drink. Now l'm waiting for Cameron to get me, for my second round of chemo. I didn't really sleep that well
Last night, because every two hours somebody's coming in my room to check my vitals. Stef text me and said she will be here soon, my treatment is scheduled for 10:30. I haven't seen Dr. Sinclair or Dr Garland yet. Now l'm writing in my journal, something l started recently. Tomorrow l'll be transferred to Nova medical center of San Diego, at least l will be closer to home. I miss my babies, l don't want them to see me sick, l know there in capable hands at my parents house
I don't know what I did to deserve this illness. I keep asking God why me?
I have always followed the rules
There's no sense in complaining
I've been thinking a lot about my biological mother and father lately
I tried to gain access to my file
But I was told they were sealed,
I don't know to much about my history. All l know is l was born in San Diego, l have so many unanswered questions. I was raised by a loving couple, l wonder if my birth Mom had any other children besides me.
I had amazing life. Thank God Jennette the dietary aide wasn't here to deliver my food, something about her rubs me the wrong way. Knock knock, Come in l say. Cameron comes in wheeling the wheel chair, l was hoping Stef would have gotten here before Cameron. Maybe when I get back, she'll be here. Morning are you ready to get this show on the road
Cameron says to me, ready as l'll ever be. I got out the bed and into the wheelchair, l decided to bring the current book l'm reading. Cameron takes the brakes off, opens the door and wheels me down the hall pass the nurses station. We wait for the elevators to open, the doors opens
I see Stef hold a cup of coffee in her hand. Good morning baby she said
Morning babe you almost missed me
Lena replies, well l'm glad l made it in town. Cameron pushed me on the elevator, the doors closed and the elevator goes down a few floors
The doors open up. Cameron wheels me off, and the three of us headed down to the chemo infusion room
Stef held the door open. We enter inside, l took my usual spot over by the window. Okay Lena we're going do the same thing as we did yesterday
I need to get your medicine and I'll be back in a few minutes. Cameron tells me, after she left. Stef comes over and gives me a kiss, and sits. Love did you get any sleep last night, l asked Stef
I slept alright. What about you do you manage to get some rest, Stef asks
Baby l got very little. Every two hours
A nurse came in and took my vitals
I only got a total of two hours sleep
Lena replies. Awe honey l'm sorry to hear that, but at least tomorrow
We'll be heading home. Stef says
I guess it's not like l'm coming home right away, l respond. Honey I know you don't like hospitals. Or the food but, you'll be back soon enough
The doctors just want to monitor you
to make sure you don't have any reaction to the chemo. You have to trust them to do their job, if I could trade places with you. I would in a heartbeat, l just thinking yesterday
When we meet Maggie. She kinda favors you a little bit, cause you both have curly hair. Stef tells me, l haven't noticed the similarities. Lena Stated
Cameron walks back in, she hangs up the chemo bag on the hook. Cameron starts a center line and Attached it to my IV. Then inserts my IV, l begin to feel a burning sensation. I guess my body has to get to use to these changes, l try to tell myself
Baby l'm gonna have to do a grocery run and get all the foods you can eat
I probably won't go until tomorrow sometime. Stef States, it sucks l have to change my eating patterns around
Lena said, remember what Maggie told us. Stef says, l sit back and let the drugs do it's job. As l close my eyes and try to get a nap in, while I can
