"Did... did you guys... felt that?" Taehyun turned to the others in the stockroom.
"Yeah..." Soobin was the first to react. The others then nodded afterwards as if they've been rooted before deciding to move.
"Its like a pull in the bottom of my stomach." Hueningkai described the feeling.
"Bet you guys when we open the door, we'd see the forest!" Beomgyu's eyes sparkled with excite as the others looked at each other.
"Come on!" Beomgyu called for everyone as he headed towards the door of the thay leads out of the stockroom.
The rest then moved to leave their work aside and followed Beomgyu as he opened the door with much enthusiasm.
The bright smile on his face slowly turned into a frown as he looked at the empty campus corridor.
"Eh? I thought..." he muttered looking back and forth at the corridor.
"We're still in the school." Yeonjun commented and Beomgyu absently nodded.
"Come on, let's just finish what we can today and go home." Soobin said as he turned back inside.
Beomgyu let out a sigh of dissapointment as he followed the older.
"It kinda feels odd though, don't you think?" Yeonjun mentioned making Soobin and Beomgyu turn to him.
"What do you mean?" Soobin asked but before he could answer, Hueningkai siddenly ran out of the room.
"Hyuka where are you going?!" Yeonjun called halting the younger for a bit.
"I saw something!" The only thing he said before running off again.
With one look at each other, Soobin and Yeonjun ran after the youngest.
"Hey guys, hold on a sec! What are we running for?!" Beomgyu called as he moved to follow but then halted when he noticed something.
"Taehyun let's go!" He called to the younger who was by the shelf holding some book.
"What's that?" He gazed at the book on Taehyun's hand which the younger immediately returned to the shelf.
"Nothing, come on." Taehyun said as they both ran outside the room.
Hueningkai
He saw a shimmer of that same ghostly figure he thought he saw in the stockroom before. One of the reasons he disliked coming back to the stockroom every now and then was because of this.
He ran down the hallway trying to find a trail of that faint almost translucent being but it was just gone. He stood there in one of the corridor as a hand grabbed his shoulder making him yelp.
"You... really... shouldn't... just run off... without explanation." Yeonjun said in between breathes with Soobin next to him breathing heavily.
"Yeah, you turned to one corner... then we already can't find you. How fast can you get?" Soobin mentioned straighting his stand as Hueningkai stared at both of them.
Did he ran that fast? Or did he ran really that far? It didn't really feel like it took much time for him to get where he was.
"What exactly did you see Hyuka?" Yeonjun asked him and he contemplated if he should tell them or not but before he could make a decision, Soobin spoke.
"Hold on, where are the other 2?" He wondered looking behind them making Yeonjun and Hueningkai look the direction they've come from.
"They didn't follow." Yeonjun commented and Soobin only heaved a sigh.
"Let just head back to the stockroom so we can go home fast ok?" Soobin said and started to head back.
Hueningkai also felt like he should just do what the older said. Afterall, who would believe at what he saw. Despite them experiencing some weird stuff, he at least doesn't think seeing ghosts is good to share.
"Yeonjun hyung?" Hueningkai called the older when he noticed he was just standing in a daze making Soobin turn to them.
"It really doesn't feel right." Yeonjun muttered making Hueningkai and Soobin exchange looks.
"Hyung, you're not trying to scare us right?" Soobin chuckled slightly nervous making the oldest of the three raise a brow at him.
"You guys don't notice it at all?" Yeonjun pried and Hueningkai thought for awhile and looked around him.
It doesn't feel like something's wrong however it did felt weird how the older guys were out of breathe running after him when he himself felt he hadn't ran that far.
"What exactly hyung?" - Soobin
"Listen... its so quiet." Yeonjun looked around and true enough, it was indeed very quiet... too quiet in fact, they could almost hear every step they take.
"Maybe everyone went home?" Soobin suggested.
"What about the guards, they don't go home right?" Hueningkai added.
"Yeah and they were supposed to also be roaming around in the campus." Yeonjun added.
"But there's just over 3 of them, 2 guards on the gate and 1 roams inside. Its not such a big deal." Soobin cleared and Hueningkai thought that he was right. However Yeonjun truly felt like something isn't right so he walked on ahead.
"Hyung where are you going? We should head back. Beomgyu and Taehyun could be looking for us!" Soobin went after Yeonjun so Hueningkai decided to follow them as well.
Beomgyu
When they ran out of the stockroom, Beomgyu looked at the ends of the corridors trying to decide which way to go. The others were already out of sight and he did not see where they have turned.
"Hyung..." upon Teahyun's voice, he turned to the younger who was tapping him looking behind them.
"What's wrong?" He asked then his eyes landed to the plain wall Taehyun was facing and he gasped at the sight.
"The door's gone or rather, the stockroom isn't behind us anymore." Taehyun summed up and he only nodded.
"Do you think we're back to that place?" He asked Taehyun.
"We're in school, that was in the woods." Taehyun explained yet a frown was visible on his face.
"There was that stadium too, remember?" Beomgyu added.
"That too." Taehyun stared at the wall for some time that Beomgyu wondered what the younger was thinking when he spoke again.
"Let's go find the others." Taehyun said and he simply nodded as they both picked a random direction.
"Yeonjun hyung! Soobin hyung!!!" - Beomgyu
"Kai! Where'd you guys go?!" - Taehyun
They both called for the others when Beomgyu caught something flashed on one corner. When he turned he saw a door. Instinctively, he went towards it and opened it. Light filled his eyes before it settled and fresh air touched his skin as he faced an open field.
"Hey Taehyun, look at thi-" he stopped midway when he realized that Taehyun was gone and he's all alone.
"Tae?" He called
"Taehyun-ah?!" He called louder as he left the door and moved back in the corridor.
"Taehyun where are you?!" He called for the younger, suddenly nervous for some reason.
Where could he have gone?
"Tae-argghhhh!!!" He let out a scream when a door in one corner close to him opened.
"Hyung stop screaming." It was Taehyun that he felt relieved right away.
"Where did you go? I was looking for you." He crossed his arms then noticed the flashlights the younger was holding.
"Where'd you get those?"
"While you were busy with whatever, I found these flashlights in the library." Taehyun explained and Beomgyu frowned.
"Library?" He wondered, Taehyun merely noddded.
"I know, weird. Library in the 1st floor but~ it is." Taehyun opened the door and they both entered.
Beomgyu was kinda astounded, the library was supposed to be in the 2nd floor but why is it in the 1st floor. When he thought of how the door to the stockroom dissappeared. He felt kinda certain that where they are now is still that place where they went to last time.
"What are you doing?" He moved towards Taehyun who found a small bag to store the flashlights while moving to take out books from the shelves.
"Look here hyung." Taehyun motioned for him to come closer so he did and he noticed that the book he was holding kinda looked like the one Taehyun was holding in the stockroom moments ago.
"That book you're holding..." he started as Taehyun faced the inside of the book to him and he frowned at its pages.
They were empty.
"What..." he don't even know what to say. It's curious but he's not exactly sure why so.
"I noticed that there are quite a lot of these books with this hardback cover here but they're all empty. It was... interesting." Taehyun concluded.
"Yeah but why are we looking at these?" Beomgyu questions and Taehyun closed the book.
"That book in the stockroom isn't empty compared to these." Taehyun placed the book on the table with the other books like it.
"You read it?" He asked, his curiosity increasing but Taehyun shook his head.
"No, I've only flipped its pages but..." Taehyun paused as if pondering on something before looking back on Beomgyu.
"Hyung that book-" Taehyun started again but then the two of them were cut off by the sound of a fire alarm.
"What the- fire?!" Beomgyu exchanged looks with Taehyun before they sprinted out of the library.
When they were out, Beomgyu noticed the corridor changed.
"2nd floor." Taehyun muttered looking at him then they heard some noise coming from one of the lined classrooms on the floor.
"Kai?! Yeonjun hyung?! Soobin hyung?!" Taehyun went ahead in the corridor following the noise of panicked voices.
"Taehyun wait!" Beomgyu moved to follow but then he noticed a fire extinguisher in one corner then picked it up before running after the younger down the hall.
