People come and, they go
without a trace in my life
I can't believe I am paper-thin
that they almost splatter muddy ink
all over my plain white front.
Everyone seems to be going
on but look at me I barely
move an inch laying there
motionless amongst the dusty
hard-bound covers.
It's gone even the last bus
doesn't seem to wait. I bet
that's how the world works
initially enticing and fade
without a trace
I stand there in silence for
a split-second thinking about
my messy front. "Well, I think
we're not going anywhere
going back isn't a choice
so, I'd preferably build one.
