Chapter Twenty-Eight
⚡Blitzkrieg⚡
"You're going to bite Stiles?" Lydia asked, looking at Scott incredulously as they stood around the station, "To get him through the rift. It's the only way." Scott said and Ivory sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
"Just to clarify, are you planning on biting everyone in the train station?" Peter asked and Scott sighed slightly, "With Stiles back, he'll be able to help us figure out a plan." Scott said and Malia nodded. "He's good at that." She said and Peter squinted slightly, "So, the plan is to get Stiles to come up with a plan?" He asked making Ivory roll her eyes at him.
"You can either shut up or be helpful." Ivory asked and Peter sighed, "Ivory, look around. We're the only ones left in Beacon Hills. If they take us, Lydia will be the only one left to haunt the place." Peter said making them sigh. "That's why I'm the only person that's going in. Liam and Hayden will stay here with Mason. As long as somebody is left in Beacon Hills, the Wild Hunt can't move on."
"I like your plan, Scott, I really do, especially the part about turning Stiles. But it can't work." Peter said, "How do you know?" Malia asked and Peter looked at them like it was obvious. "Logic? Life experience? Liam, what are the odds that he'll get taken? What if Stiles isn't there? What if there's no Beacon Hills for you to come back to?" He said making Ivory sigh.
"You got a better idea?" She asked making him look at her, "Yeah. It's called "run like hell." So, leave in five?" He said making her scoff slightly. "You promised you'd help us. We still need to find the rift." Malia said and Peter shook his head, "I didn't promise I'd help you commit suicide."
"If you can't help, we can find it ourselves."
"Scott, I admit that you have a flair for beating the odds, but this, you don't walk away from- you run."

"When you were here before, how long until the Ghost Riders showed up?" Scott asked as they walked through the woods, "A couple minutes." Malia said making Ivory sigh. "That's reassuring." She muttered, "What's a rift supposed to look like?" Malia asked and Lydia shrugged slightly.
"If it's a tear in the fabric of our world, theoretically, it could look like anything from a microscopic black hole to a free-floating Einstein-Rosen bridge." Lydia explained as the stopped to glance around. "I really hope it's not up there." Ivory said as she looked up at the treeline above them
"Let's split up." Scott said and they all started looking around. Ivory glanced around until she saw a sewer tunnel making her walk over it, "Hey, come look at this." She called out making them walk over to her, "The rift's not above us..."
"It's below."
"I can't see a thing." Lydia said as they shined their phone flashlights around the underground tunnels. Ivory dug around her bag before pulling out and actual flashlight and turning it on making them all look at her. "I'm always prepared." She said with a shrugged before walking down the tunnel, "It's got to be down here somewhere."
A few minutes later they reach a junction in the tunnels, and Malia turns right at the fork to see if anything is there. She makes it a few steps before she immediately smacks into the rift so hard that she bounces off and is thrown backwards making everyone spin around. "Found it!" Malia said as Ivory helped her up.
Ivory slowly walked up to the rift, staring at it with a fascinated look on her face. It was a clear green and swirling a foot or two above the ground. "It's remarkably similar." Lydia said as she came up to stand next to Ivory, "To what?" Malia asked. "To the Einstein-Rosen bridge." Ivory answered as they all stared at it.
Malia ripped off a piece of the metal pipes and tried to stick it through the rift but all it did was melt it. "There's gotta be another way. We just need to think." Ivory said and Malia raised her eyebrows, "Think?" She asked and Scott nodded. "Yeah... Think about how to get through a supernatural rift that melts steel." Scott said and Lydia shrugged slightly, "I didn't say it would be easy..." She said.
"It doesn't have to be so hard." Someone said behind them making them spin around to see Mr. Douglas standing there. "He followed our scent." Scott said, "I followed your desperation. We're all in a tough spot. Desperate to get inside and save everyone, and hoping to find a way to stop this army of the dead. We all want the same thing." Douglas said.
"He has a point." Lydia said and Ivory raised her eyebrows, "If he doesn't kill anyone." She said as she pulled out her crossbow. "Else. If he doesn't kill anyone else." Scott corrected and Douglas shrugged slightly, "All that matters right now is getting through the rift." He said.
"Then you're out of luck." Malia said and Lydia nodded, "The rift burns everything that tries to pass through it." She said. "Perhaps not everything." Douglas says and then Parrish suddenly appears in front of them in his Hellhound form, though without the flames. His eyes glowing greenish as he growls at them while Lydia's eyes widened, "Parrish." She said.
"If the Hellhound can open the rift, we all go together." Douglas said and Malia scoffed, "You're the bad guy. I'm pretty sure helping you is a bad idea." She said and Douglas rolled his eyes. "Good guy, bad guy... When has anything ever been so black and white?"
"World War II." Someone said making them turn to see Liam walking to them, "He's a Nazi. He wants the Hunt for himself. He wants his own supernatural army." Liam said making Ivory's eyes widen. Douglas sighed before unraveling a Ghost Riders whip.
"We're not letting you through that rift." Scott said and Douglas raised his eyebrows at them. "Not letting me? I see... You still think you have a say in the matter." He said and Scott's eyes flashed red as he let out a loud roar. Douglas cracked the whip a couple more times at them making Ivory grab Lydia and pull her over to the other tunnel with Liam. He cracked the whip a few more times until both Malia and Scott ran over to the other tunnel.
"Höllenhund." Douglas said as he started to walk forward making Parrish walk follow. Parrish walked over to the rift and sticks his hands out, pulling a hole through the rift. "Wunderbar." Douglas said in amazement when Parrish opened the rift. Parrish turned to the group and roared at them while Douglas walked up to the rift.
"Höllenhund... kommen." Douglas said and Parrish roared at them again before following Douglas through the rift. "Now!" Malia said and they all ran for the rift. But right as they got up to it closed making Lydia sigh in defeat, "No..."

"Liam, you, Ivory and Lydia get to the bunker." Scott said as they stared at a couple ghost Riders. They looked at each other before nodding and running off down the tunnel. They ran for a while until they heard a loud roar. "That roar wasn't promising..." Liam said as they continued down the tunnel.
"Well, they rarely are. So, keep going." Ivory said and they turned the corner only to freeze when they see a Ghost Rider is waiting for them with his gun raised.
However, after a moment, it stares at Lydia, and instead of shooting at them, it puts it's gun down, much to their confusion. "What's happening?" Liam asked as Lydia pulled him and Ivory behind the. "I don't know... But stay behind me. Follow me." Lydia said and started walking forward. They slowly walk past the Ghost Rider and all it does is watch them, "It's afraid of you." Ivory said as they walked back into a different tunnel.
"I'm afraid of me."

"The number you have reached is not in service. Please check the number or try your call again. This is a recording." The voice mail recording said through Scott's phone as they all sat around the dinning table. Scott had broken expressions as Scott kept calling Melissa's number over and over. Melissa and Argent had both got taken by Douglas.
"We're sorry, the number you have reached is not in service. Please check the number or try your call again."
"Scott..."
"We're sorry, the number you have reached is not in service. Please check the number or try your call again."
Malia walked over and gently rested her hand on Scott's shoulder before sitting down next to him. "Scott, your mom is gone. But she's still alive." Malia said before turning off Scott's phone and pulling it away.
"What do we do now?" Liam asked from where he sat and Ivory sighed softly, "We can't hide from them." She said and he looked over at Lydia. "Well, what about Lydia? The Ghost Rider was afraid of her." He said and Lydia slightly shook her head, "It wasn't fear. It's... almost like reverence." She said and Scott sighed and shook his head.
"Doesn't matter. The rift is gone. We're the only ones left in Beacon Hills." Scott said and it was quiet for a moment before someone knocked on the door before walking in. They all turned to see Stilinski walking over to the table before sighing softly.
"I have a son." He said making Lydia sit up slightly, "His name is Mieczysław Stilinski... But we call him Stiles. I remember. When Stiles was a little kid, he couldn't say his first name. Not sure why, it pretty much rolls off the tongue... But, uh, the closest he could get was "mischief." His mother called him that until..." He trailed off and glanced down at the ground for a moment.
"I remember when, uh... When Stiles first got his Jeep. It belonged to his mother. She wanted him to have it. The first time when he took a spin behind the wheel, he went straight into a ditch. I gave him his first roll of duct tape that day. He was always getting into trouble, but he always had a good heart- always. We're here tonight because my goofball son decided to drag Scott, his greatest friend in the world, into the woods to see a dead body." Stilinski said looking over at Scott who also had glossy eyes, "How did you remember?"
"It started with Stiles' jersey." Stilinski said, glancing over at Lydia for a moment, "Then I found the red string for his crime board. Finally, his whole room came back, and all the memories. And then the strangest thing happened..." He trailed off. "What?" Lydia asked, "I thought I saw him. It's like something opened right there in the middle of the room. Just for a moment. And then it was gone." He said and Scott's eyes widened.
"A rift..." He said making them look at him,
"I thought there was only one rift. We saw it disappear." Malia asked and Ivory nodded slightly before looking at Stilinski. "You remembered Stiles, and then a new rift was created." She said, glancing at all of them and realization crossed over their features.
"If the Sheriff can do it..."
"Maybe we can."
"But that rift closed." Liam said and Scott shrugged, "Then we'll open it again." He said making them look at him. "How?" Ivory asked, "By remembering Stiles. We have to remember everything."

At the sound of footsteps, Theo looked up to see Ivory walk into the cell area before sitting down against the bars. He didn't say anything, just got up and sat down, leaning his back against the bars next to her.
"I'm surprised you're here." He said and she sighed deeply, "I don't feel like being alone and everyone else is too depressing right now. It's messing with my empathy." She said and he raised his eyebrows in amusement. "So I was the second choice?" He asked and she smiled, "Technically you were the third. I went home and called my brother but he's busy." She said making him chuckle and shake his head.
They were quite for a moment before Ivory took a deep breath and looked at him. "I want to be able to trust you again, Theo. Without the worry of you lying or betraying any of us again. But you really have to prove that I can." Ivory said and Theo stared at her for a moment.
"I was already planning on proving it to you." He said and she raised her eyebrows in amusement, "Behind bars?" She asked making him chuckle. Ivory glanced around the empty station while Theo stared at her with a small smile for a moment.
"You know what I think?" Theo asked making Ivory hum slightly and look at him, "You're only here because you like me." He said making her laugh and shake her head. "Definitely not." She said and he raised his eyebrows, "Let's not forget that you were the one who kissed me." He said and Ivory gave him a look.
"Do you really want me to bring up what you've done?" Ivory asked and Theo just smiled at her.
