As I got dressed I pulled on my long-sleeved Grey shirt and my black skinny jeans. I always tried to dress like the most popular kids in school... but I would just end up feeling self conscious about how I looked.
I strolled down stairs to she my mom placing a nice fat stack of pancakes at the table. They looked delicious! But before I could sit down and eat my mom gave me a weird look followed by a sad one, the she screamed "Owen! Come eat your breakfast"
"did you make me breakfast?"
"Sorry Kendall I totally forgot! I can make you something real quick?"
"It's okay... I guess" I muttered
I know my mom tries really hard to take care of me and my brother but I just can't help feeling like the odd man out. I looked at my watch to see that the bus would be here anytime. I grabbed a granola bar and put on my fake smile. Know that the day ahead would hard enough.
As I climbed onto the bus Sherri the bus drive greeted me.
"hey Kenny, forgot to eat breakfast?"
I glanced down at my granola bar totally forgetting to eat it at the bus stop .
"No just grabbed a extra snack for lunch" I lied.
