"I caught two bodies, Jamel AND James, got rid of the bodies, got shit set to open a second club, and handled that meeting with yo crazy ass fucking connect by myself." I said and he turned around
"You killed Jamel?" He asked and I sighed before Kay walked in also
"Y'all fucked ?" He asked and she looked at me before be both attempted to speak at the same time
"No." "Yes."
"Why did that come up?" Kay asked
"It didn't, Nigga how you figure that out ?" I asked and he looked at Kay who's cheeks were bright red Causing her to bust out laughing
"Man listen, why didn't you tell me you owe money?" I asked
"Why would I ? What could you have done." He asked
"The same shit I'm doing right now help you nigga." I said and he took a pull from his blunt like he didn't care
"Look, you might not care, but now that I've stepped in to help you, my ass is grass if yours is." I explained and he looked at me
"Nigga what did you do ?" He asked
"He told us to start pushing coke throughout my club-
"I sell weed not no damn crack, I don't wanna get involved with no damn cartel leader." He said
"Brian you not listening, he didn't give us a choice, we either sell it, or he kills you. I either help you sell it faster, or I die if either of is fuck up." I explained and he sighed
"What the fuck." He sighed
"And we're not pushing it through my club." I said
"We're opening a brand new club, that'll go I. Your name and we push that shit there, but not at mine because this ain't my debt." I said and he shook his head
"So what's next ?" He asked
"Tonight, we open the club back up, while the party is going on we work on moving the coke inside until we get yo shit situated, it'll take a minute of course, so we need to lock up these corners, put a word out that we got some new shit in." I said before tossing Ari a small baggie full of it
"Give this to a loyal customer, get a review on it and make sure it's not bad coke, we don't need nobody going down in his shit and bad coke coming back towards him if the cops show." I told her and she rolled her eyes before leaving
I shook my head before dapping Brian up and grabbing my keys
"You coming tonight ?" I asked Kay
"I might stop by after I finish something with work." She told me and I nodded
Liyah-
"Liyah that doesn't mean ignore the nigga." Malik chuckled before going to take a shot at pool.
"It does if I don't wanna take a chance." I shrugged
"And he had a babyy, which means baby mama drama, uh un." I quickly shook off before taking my turn and Malik laughed
"We'll you took a chance on trusting me, and j genuinely believe that if yo paps trust him, you can too because that is one crazy ass nigga, no offense." He said
"None taken." I laughed
"But at far as the baby situation, everybody makes mistakes, but you'll never know, just stick around, get to know him better that's it." Malik advised before taking the final shot and winning the game
"You ain't shit." I laughed
"Anyways, enough about me, wassup with you ?" I asked and he shrugged
"I need a hustle, I wanna find a nice a nice apartment so I can move my granny to a good nursing home." He said
"Ask my paps about a job at his club." I suggested
"Wait so you question Daivon for maybe working with yo paps but want me to go do the same ?" He chuckled
"I heard him say something about opening a second club, if it's outside the streets it could be s good fit." I suggested and he shrugged.
"I'll try, You not gon be around as much once you go to college, so leaving me with yo paps isn't fair." He laughed and i flipped him off
"He's not that bad Malik, I'll talk to him first" I said and he shrugged
After a while of walking down the strip we came across a tattoo shop and I cheesed
"We should've walked the other fucking way." Malik sighed before I pulled him inside causing him to groan

After a while he finished before doing any last preparations and I held both of my inner wrists out for Malik to see

After paying and everything I cheesed at the tattoos.
"I think I want a spine one next." I said before he rolled his eyes
"Let me get yo ass up out of here before you turn yo self into a canvas." He laughed before pulling me out
On the way out I stopped in my tracks before tilting my head at who I was looking at.
"How the fuck are you here right now ?" I asked Mike before he sighed

I walked into my office to see three men at my desk and I raised my eyebrows
"Are you Kayonna Smith?" One asked
"I am, can I help you ?" I asked confused
"I'm agent Adrist, a leader of a investigative team here, I'm gonna need for you to come with me to answer a few questions." He told me before flashing his badge a I looked at him stuck for words
"Sure." I told him before following him out of the door.

"When was the last time you seen or spoke to James Green ?" He asked
"Yesterday actually." I spoke
"As I recall to footage you two we here seen leaving together?" He asked
"Why ask the question of you knew I was with him? What's going on ?" I asked
"Someone is trying to file a missing report on James since it is unlikely for him to go off the grid for twenty four hours, and we were just wondering if you knew where he could be ?" I asked
"I'm sorry but no." I told him before he leaning forward
"Walk me through your day with James." He said and I sighed before interlocking my fingers on the desk and leaning forward
"We talked in his office, decided leave to a hotel, and we hooked up." I explained
"Would you like me to go further or perhaps... deeper ?" I asked before he cleared his throat
"No, thank you for time." He told me before getting up and allowing me to leave
I walked back to my office before shutting the door behind me and pulling my phone out to calm Kash
"I just got questioned." I told him
"What you mean ?"
"Three men were in my office waiting for me, and questioned me about James." I said and he sighed
"How the fuck did they pick up on him missing when it's barely been twenty four hours." He asked
"Because he's a federal agent Kash, it's unlikely for niggas like him to disappear with no trace, they're busy 24/7 no breaks." I said
"Ight, just calm down I'll figure it out." He said before we hung up.
After a while my office door opened again, but this time it was Angel.
"Can I help you ?" I asked with my attention still on my computer screen
She pulled back one of the office chairs before sitting down causing me to look at her
"So are we gonna have any problems ?" She asked and I tilted my head before laughing
"Girl don't come in my place of work with that bullshit." I said before turning my head back to my computer screen
"My spot with the club, is secure, just because Lash is having some difficulties doesn't mean you need to be captain save a hoe." She told me
"You can have the hoe at that point." I told her and she chuckled
"I just wanted to make sure this was straight." She said before getting up
"Considering that I'm carrying his baby." She said causing me to slowly look up
"Awe of wit he didn't tell you ?" She asked
"Yea right, that nigga grew out the thought of having more kids." I said Before she laughed
"But not of the thought of having a family. You broke y'all's, so I wouldn't want to be involved with you anyways after how bad you fucked his life up." She said
"I mean you did get him sent to jail, have him no home to come back to once he was free, turned his family against him, and had him risk his life all over again." She said before looking at her nails
"But he wasn't the first was he ? You did the same thing to Your own brother ?" She asked causing me to look back up
"Hold the fuck up he told my business about Trey to you ?" I asked before she laughed
"Girl what are you not understanding ? We're a family now." She said before opening the door
"But I just didn't want you to get any mixed... emotions." She told me before walking out and I looked down

"Nigga we not gon be able to get this shit together if we don't get these numbers right, call Kay." Brian said
"You don't think I thought of that shit already? She isn't answering and been MIA every since she called me about that James shit." I said before Brian sighed
"Maybe she got cold feet." Angel shrugged
"What you mean ?" Brian asked
"Federal agents walking into your office and questioning you about a nigga that you barely know yourself ? She probably thought about the consequences with her job that could happen if she stays in contact with you." Angel explained and j shook my head
"She don't give a fuck about that shit." I said
"Well that shit still isn't moving numbers, what we doing tonight ?" We gotta get this product moving or we not gon make the deadline." Brian said and I sighed before looking down at the empty nightclub
"When we open tonight we just start pushing that shit through." I told him before he called me up
"You make sure to tell niggas to keep that shit low, if heat starts going on with James I don't need that shit coming up in my club." I said before Brian nodded and Angel caressed my arm before kissing my cheek
"You'll figure it out like you always do." She told me before walking off
Once she left I walked back into my office to call Kay again but it went straight to voicemail.
I thought for a minute before finally going out to my car and driving towards Kay's. Like all week, when I pulled up her car was gone. I got out the car anyways before knocking on the door and Ary answered in shock
"Where she at ?" I asked
"Work." She replied and I squinted my eyes
"You lying ?" I asked before she avoided eye contact
"Never."
We continued to stare before I eventually nodded
"Tell her to call me when she get off." I said before she nodded
"Where's London?" I asked
"She's with Ari." She told me before I nodded and walked off to the car
I picked up that she was avoiding me at this point, but I didn't do shit for her to do so this time. I'm just hoping that she got enough sense to not be fucking with that nigga Zay again especially with this James shit starting to blow over.
After a while I started my car before heading towards Ari's

"Kay isn't home, she's working I jus left by there."I said and she sighed

""Go get yo coat." I told London before she ran upstairs

"Alright I'll see you later." She told her before I carried her to the car and buckled her in
"How about we go visit a children's museum before daddy has to go to work?" I asked before she cheesed

After a while of chasing London around she eventually grabbed my arm before pulling me towards a play kitchen area.

She placed a fake menu in front of me and I squinted my eyes at the menu as I looked Over it
"Hmm can I have the fruit salad, with grape juice and a chocolate cake ?" I asked
"That's a terribleeeee combination daddy." She said before we both laughed
"That's terrible customer service." I told her as she continued to throw all the fake foods on the plate.
After s while she finished before placing everything in front of me before I play ate it and gave her a thumbs up before laughing.

"So... I'm going back to basketball once I make it make to North Carolina, I just doubt that my playtime will be as good as it was because of course I haven't been there." I sighed
"It's gonna be hard, but Ima push through it, for you at least." I said as I looked up at the sky

After a long ride of silence we arrived to the "Lake Pierre". It was basically something similar to the beach Pierre's, but had a big ass lake surrounded by sand instead. The carnival and food was above it and it was a little packed.
We walked down to the sand area away from from everybody before he sat on a rock and patted for me to sit beside me
"I'm good right here." I said before he sighed and nodded
"So wassup ? Why'd you go MIA all of the sudden ?" He asked
"I just wanted too." I shrugged and he tilted his head
"Because of the fact that I have a daughter ?" He asked causing me to look up.

"My daughter is my first priority, you see me, you see her, everything I do is for her, but I get if you don't understand that because you never appreciated Yo father enough to realize it was the same for you." He told me before I crossed my arms

"Me and Camya.. simply do what we need to do to coparent, I won't cap to you we did have love for each other, but she got fucked yo in the head and it just didn't work out, that girl you saw her with is her girlfriend, and they were doing all that laughing because I was honest with her about what we were doing in order to get her to keep Zoe for that night." He explained
"How old is Zoe ?" I asked before going to sit beside me
"She's two, and she's a character." He laughed causing me to laugh too
"I know I should've mentioned it, I just didn't expect for us to get caught up in each other's vibe that quick." He said
"I don't know, the way you present yourself as a cold ass mystery and then is really the funniest and goofiest nigga ever." He said before we both laughed
"Anything else you wanna know ?" He asked
"Anything else you wanna tell me ?" I asked before he slightly leaned back and we sat in silence for a while
"I'm involved with yo paps." He admitted before I turned to look at him
"I guess you already picked up on that, but me and yo paps had history before I got my bag. So nah I don't deal drugs or none of that shit, I'm just always person to call, and he's always mine when we need each other." He explained and I nodded
"That's it ?" I asked
"Promise that's all." He told me before I nodded
"So then from here forward if we wanna be around each other we gotta keep it real, my trust isn't there for anyone anymore and my automatic response is ghosting." I said before he nodded
"I should've considered that after everything you went through." He said and I sighed
"What was he like if you don't mind me asking ?" He asked and I automatically knew he was referring to Marcus
"Like you, always wanting to sneak off somewhere, doing shit he had no business doing, but he was my best-friend. We fell off after high school and he ended up with another girlfriend, but he was always like really real, he always kept shit real regardless of if it was gonna hurt my feelings or not." I explained
I still find it hard to believe that he isn't here, which is weird because we went all of them years without communication. This one was just unfair, because it's constant pain with or without Marcus here.
