Witches and Wizards, (Tom, Wil, Tubbo)

Note: In this universe wizards and witches aren't defined by gender but by the type of magic they use.

Tommy stares out the window. His stubby fingers clinging to the window frame where silhouettes of children and their parents dance across a station. Bags of luggage seemingly floating behind parents as they give their goodbyes.

Tommy watches as soon to be witches and wizards of all kinds file onto a big train colored in blues and purples.

The clouds the carts sit on darken to grey as yellow light shoot out: the train is leaving soon.

Tommy watches a kid grabs his mother's pant leg before falling in line with the rest of the children. Rolling behind him, his luggage which had long set to the ground.

"Tommy get your short ass over here!"

"I'm not short you bitch!" Tommy shouts back. Running into the kitchen where his brown haired brother stood at the stove.

"Set the table."

"Fuck you Wil-bitch." Tommy grumbles. He pushes bottles of colourful liquids to the side half hazardly to the side in place for forks and napkins.

A moment not too soon plates of meat and mashed potato clatter across the table. Cups full of milk fallows soon after.

The two sit at the small table and eat. "When will I be able to go to school?" Tommy asks as he stuffs his face with food.

Wilbur sighs putting his fork down and looks at Tommy. "Tommy we've already had this conversation countless times before."

"Oh I know but I'm board. Even Tubbo goes to school." Tommy crosses his arms and angrily chews.

"We don't have enough money for your education."

"Just get-"

"Drop it."

"Fine." Tommy pushes his plate and stomps out of the room.

"Tommy wait." Wilbur shouts after the blond. Getting up himself and running after him. "Tommy I'm sorry."

Tommy slipped on his shoes. "I'm taking a walk." He states bluntly.

Tommy shuts the front door with a loud clang. Not bothering to look back at the man he's known all his life. The small house goes through a round of wobbles  by the time Tommy is across the street.

Tommy does, in fact go for a walk. He walks to a friend of his' house. Unlike his small shack-of-a-house this house was grand and beautiful. Though it wasn't without its flaws.

Flowers and weeds cling to the thin walls. The grass was so high it dwarfs even Wilbur.

Tommy travels through the maze of weeds and grass until he finds the front door. A second later it opens to the grumpy brown haired face of Tommy's best friend.

"Tubbo my friend!" Tommy greats with a loud obnoxious voice, "how's it going?"

"Why are you here Tommy?" Tubbo asks.

"What? Aren't you excited to see your best man?"

"It's 2 in the morning."

Tommy looks at the dirt under his toes. "Yea, I know."

Tubbo sighs and opens the door wider with a creak, "come in."

Tommy happily obliges. Kicking his feet off to the side and watches wondrously as they fly to the shoe rack to the side.

"Did you and Wilbur get in a fight again?"

"Yea, we did." The two step onto a platform which takes them up to the second floor.

"What was it about this time?"

"I asked why I couldn't go to school as a wizard again."

"Have you considered getting a job?"

Tommy's eyes widen, "no I haven't!"

"Well what have you been doing all day?!"

"Cleaning up the house and waiting for Wilbur to come home?"

Tubbo facepalms. "Come on man even I work!"

"I know you've told me all about your wonderous job as at the cashier." Tommy roles his eyes.

The two giggle as they step off the platform and into Tubbo's room.

"So how's your parents? They doing pog?" Tommy sits on one of Tubbo's chairs while Tubbo sits at his desk.

"They're doing fine. My mother got a promotion!"

"Good on her!"

"Yea, my father even got his shit together and sobered up a bit since you were last here!"

"How did he manage that?" Tommy snorts.

"We trashed all his alcohol and now mom picks him up from work so he can't get black out drunk at a pub."

"Oh.." Tommy wheezes causing Tubbo to giggle along. The night grows lighter in the sky and Tubbo sat on the floor shifting through a box full of games.

"Do you wanna play something? I got this new game that explores life with no magic!" Tubbo asks grabbing his floating consul off the charging pod as he slides a disk into the monitor.

"Yea sure!"

The two play king into the night-well morning. As 6 rolled around tubbo got dressed using his magical wardrobe thing and left for work. Leaving Tommy to continue playing.

An hour or two into the game he got bored and went to explore Tubbo's room for the umpteenth time.

It was full of stuff. Magical drawers that held infinite items and a tv that was mounted on the wall by nothing.

The small box in the corner that was Tubbo's bed was decorated as ever with bees and lights coming from invisible bulbs. Inside it felt spacious and as comfortable as sleeping in a room full of feathers and blankets.

Tommy felt the magic from the moment he stepped foot into this house, and he flourished in it.

But then Tommy found something that made his curiosity boom. A wand. Tubbo's wand. It was hidden away in a small compartment behind Tubbo's bookshelf.

It was used, chips and cracks line the red wood but it worked as good as the day Tubbo got it.

Tommy has seen use his magic, bright yellow dust that danced around whenever he casted a spell.

He slowly picked it up. Feeling the familiar hum of what Tubbo's magic left behind.

Two voices snapped him out of his thoughts. A females voice and a males.

"Ah come on! Why can't I be a witch?" The female asked the male.

"No, we are a family of wizards. Not witches Maribel."

Tommy tuned the strangers out. Eyeing the wand again.

He could use it. Just one spell. A harmless one! Tubbo won't mind he's not even here. No one is it's just him at his friend's house.

He smiles and grabs a bouncy ball in the pile of discarded mess.

Tommy moves to the living room for more space. It too was clustered with magical items of all sorts.

Tommy put the ball on the floor and stepped back. The dull wand rose till it was in line with the tip of Tommy"s nose.

"Ok just one spell. An easy one, levitation."

His eyelids fluttered closed. His eyebrows knitted together and he tightened his grip on Tubbo's wand.

The dull wand wormed, Tommy opened his eyes just as blue flickers of magic sparkled out. The wand grew cold again.

"No, no no no!" Tommy nearly begged. "It's got to work! I can do this! Comeon!"

He tried again. Wand pointed straight at the small ball on the ground. Again his hold tightened and his face scrunched up.

Again the wand wormed, this time he did not open his eyes. But, as the wand dulled once more he knew he failed again.

Tommy dropped Tubbo's wand. His eyes closed even still. Only when he had sunk to the floor and curled into a ball did he open them.

The walls always small seemed smaller. Condensed, trapped. They were moving, god why are they moving.

He curled up tired. Shielding away from the walls barricading him in. Fear struck him and he panicked.

He scrambles to his feet and grabs Tubbo's wand in a mad dash to get out. Before he knew it he was standing in the middle of Tubbo's room. Head swimming as he tried to get his barings.

Too small, the room is too small.

He ran out of Tubbo's room. Down the platform and out the front door.

Tips of weeds and tall grass poked him as he stammered through their maze. Bile clung to his throat as he tried to clear his head.

Finally, he makes it out of the maze. The sun shines onto his scalp as he breaths fresh air.

He could breath, the walls were no where near him, and he was safe.

He took one last breath, looking at the tall weeds protruding on all sides of the house. He swiftly dove into the weeds, into the house, up the platform, and into Tubbo's room. There he slipped the wand into the drawer where it belongs and left the house.

The front door to his house opened with a creak. The lights dimly lit the small room.

The tv turns on lighting up the room with a magical glow. The screen depicted two donkeys on the road. Bodies limp.

Tommy thought nothing of it. Donkeys got hurt all the time on 85. He quickly switched the channel to some documentary he half payed attention to.

Wilbur bursts through the basement door as the narrator was talking about flying buffalos. The blond took one glance at his older sibling, and immediately devolved in a fit of laughs.

Wilbur was covered head to toe in purple and blue dust. In his hands he held three boodles of different colours.

"Shut up, child." Wilbur ordered which caused Tommy to giggle even more.

Wilbur rolled his eyes and set the boodles on the counter before flopping on the couch next to Tommy.

"What's he saying this time?" Wilbur asks.

"Who the narrator? Just some things about flying hippos, nothing too interesting."

Wilbur nodes, eyes glued to the screen in front of them. Face flipped to a frown and he fiddled with his shirt's hem.

"What's wrong Wilbur?"

"Oh nothing, just been having some troubles with some potions. The usual." Wilbur shifts in his seat.

"Oh really? I thought that was just pixie dust you decided to wear today."

"Oh shut up." Wilbur said with a smile. "You're just mad you can't make potions."

"I'll gladly take eating a fistful of poop then be able to make potions." Tommy stated making Wilbur look up in mock offence. "No, I want to be a wizard! Wands and spell books."

Wilbur huffs, "witches are just as good as wizards."

"No they aren't!"

Wilbur rolls his eyes. Moving away to sit at the edge of the dining room table. He sighs as if the whole world was placed on his shoulders.

Suddenly his face, so relaxed and carefree before, darkened and stilled.

"Tommy I have something to say."

"Well what is it big man?" Tommy asked, flipping his head over his shoulder.

"How do I say this.."

"You are letting me go to that school for wizards?" Tommy said sitting up.

"No, gosh no Tommy just let me talk." Wilbur said, fiddling with his shirt's hem. "I oh.. I'm hmm hmmhm"

"What? You're mumbling there pall."

"I'm you're-"

"Hold on Tubbo's calling... hello?" Tommy shouts as a discoloured screen pops into view and with the beat of a hat, he was in his room laughing with his friend.

"I'm your..." Wilbur trails off. A sentence long overdue cut off by his son. Wilbur got off the couch. His eyes clouded in thought as he clambered to his office full of potions and elixirs.

This was an idea that has long been put off, sorry for that. It combines two requests, the one where Wilbur was secretly Tommy's dad and a new one where Tommy freaks out (or something). I didn't think those ideas had enough to go off of, so I thought, ok, but what about magic! And now you've got this.

Also bc I wanted to make a story where Wilbur was a witch, because of the typo I made and am keeping cause of the memes.
