Important Information About some wattpad issues many people have faced and their solutions. And also some important facts and tips about using wattpad.
• Dedication of your book parts cannot happen in Phone App. You need to login to wattpad in PC or browser desktop view and go to your book part edit screen→ Go to the three dots above and find dedication → Click on the empty box and type the username and save it. It will be dedicated to that account.
• If you publish a book without adding any cover pic, it will automatically take your profile picture as its cover.
• If someone unwanted is following you and you don't want them to follow but neither you want to block them then, you can simply click Mute their account and in a while Unmute them again. This act automatically removes your account from their followings!
• Every post and single text message has a word limit of around 2000 characters.
• An important story writing tip is to make your chapters not too big or too short. Around 1.5K - 3K words per chapter is a good range for novels and long story books.
• One good way of skipping annoying ads is to read a book from the last part till the beginning. This can't be done in story books tho, so there you can simply do this trick: When the dialogue shows that you will get an ad in the next page, do not turn to next page/part. Instead click on the menu above right and click on a part which is after the next one. Now turn and you're in that part without having to watch any ad. For example you're reading Chapter 1 and it shows you will get an ad in next part, do not go to next part after reading C1. Click menu in top right and click on Chapter 3, scroll back to Chapter two from there. Done :)
• Take part in awards books over wattpad for getting more fame. You can search for Awards books here and find the ones you want to participate in. Many communities and individuals host such awards or competition and it's a nice way to get yourself recognised as well as gain rewards/badge from them.
• A tip for the beginners. You can send reading request to new people for your book sometimes to help them find your book. Also some people offer read-4-read you can take on such offers. The best way to make people find your account, is by following or reading and voting/commenting on other writer's works if they don't have much followers there's a high chance they will notice your notifications and follow you or check your account. (Personally that's how i started at first by reading others books and of people new like me and eventually gaining more follows like this)
• Sometimes you will find your post which u announced didn't reach any of your followers in notifications. This is because of the fact we have a limit of only 2-3 post announcement per day. If we already announced 2-3 posts in a day our next posts won't get announced unless the limit is reset, i.e, 24 hours prior to the first post.
Many people have announced important things continuously like 4-5 posts for example declaring winner of a awards book and they didn't knew about this issue so the 2 posts wouldn't have reached any follower. So pls keep this in mind when posting.
• If you commented anything in a book part. You will get notifications of everyone who comments/replies inside your comment. This caution is basically only for those who talk in GC (group chats). If you commented anything/replied a comment in a GC you will get notifs of every single comment/replies of others inside the same comment.
• 1131 error occurs sometimes when you are talking in Message Board of someone u don't follow/ they don't follow you. If you're unable to reply, alternatively you can go to their book or your book and comment (tag them) and reply if it's urgent.
• Wattpad passwords are case sensitive. But the usernames aren't. Also, you can't make multiple accounts with the same email account.
• Mobile App users have frequently suffered from an error while saving their parts that it goes to Revision history and gets stuck or doesn't gets saved. The solution is to, go to wattpad.com , turn on to desktop mode of browser and login there and save your book part there. It won't have that error then.
• Emojis don't work but a few do, if u type this in pm it will become emoji instead of symbols:

Also some more emojis like ☺️❤️♥️❣️✨⚡✊✋☝️☃️⛄❄️☀️🌥️⭐☄️⛸️♟️☎️🛠️⛏️⚙️✂️✒️⏳⏰⚔️❓⁉️‼️⭕❌❗⚠️✔️♦️♣️♠️💀 work, you can also get a Text Emoji keyboard or in Gboard use your text emojis if u want to show emoticons (◍•ᴗ•◍)
• Sometimes glitches happen in this app where you're unable to text in pms or your message disappears or posts/msgs doesn't gets sent. It is usually due to either lack of updates or else server error. It will usually get fixed after sometime if it's a server error. Keep your app up to date as well.
• You can post only upto 20 pictures/Videos in a single part of your book.
• Fun fact- Many people call wattpad as Glitchpad because of lots of glitches keep happening with time. Like the accounts shown in chat getting shuffled when you refresh, your msg getting sent and shown to you but the other person didn't recieve it, server downs where you can't message, post or see any new msgs, unable to login for a while due to glitch, etc etc too many glitches keep happening sometimes lol.
• There are some sites like Tryunkk and novelhd etc where some people have found their books to be copied up (not all but only a few people) These sites are usually mirrored of wattpad, even tho it's completely wrong but if any of your book is there, it will have your username only there. Nothing will be modified or altered neither it will be claimed of anyone else. Wattpad is trying to solve these issues and remove the sites so don't worry about it. Also, make sure for a safety measure to mention in your book description "Read this book only on Wattpad, other sites having this book may contain harmful malware" to discourage people from reading any book in such fake sites.
• You can contact any Ambassador if you're facing some major issue or contact wattpad support.
• For higher safety especially if you want to publish your book irl, you can get a copyright from your country's official government copyright website, or some publication or seek help from a professional. Also keep your precious works in another platform or notes/docs/paper/ etc to avoid loss of your work.
• Messages sent when your internet is off or very slow will be disappeared sometimes. When you're suffering with bad network issues/ unstable network, make sure to copy the longer texts to clipboard before sending to avoid loss of information in case it disappeared after sending.
• Keep Wattpad a safe and supportive for all. Do not spread hatred against anyone here, and if you come across any hate account do report and block it. Do not let anyone ruin your peace, blocking a hate account and reporting is always better than arguing with them which can lead to more issues. As it takes a long time to get a hate account banned, inform your wattpad friends, communities like us or any ambassador if anyone's using hate account to harm/threaten you or your friends.
• There are some spam accounts over here who advertise business related/profit making site links which are usually fake. Do not open such links sent by random strangers as it could be having malware. Also never share your personal information/bank details to any stranger here. Better be safe than sorry.
• Voting limit is around 100 per day. If you have already voted 100 times in any book(s), you won't be able to vote any more for that day. Wait for a day for reset of voting.
• Constantly at a fast speed, following many accounts together will glitch it up and you won't be able to follow more after a certain number of follows for sometime, this gets ok after sometime so if you're unable to follow it's certainly because of this reason.
• If you're writing a book with too many parts like a quote or poem book, keep this in mind that only 200 parts can exist in a single book; you need to make a new book if you have already written 200 parts on it. It's usually better to make multiple books with lesser number of parts. Also, make sure to add Mature Content warning if your book has any 18+ content.
• You might have seen many books here which had fonts you haven't seen before it must be from some font sites. Like coolfont.org etc are some sites where you can get your text in different fonts and copy paste in your book/bio. Also, some phones do not support every fonts, so certain complicated and stylish fonts might not be visible to people using older phones. The reason why sometimes people reported not being able to see someone's bio or part being blank even when they wrote on it.
• You can read books in a few more fonts and background colour. The settings for this is available in a button on top "Aa" after you open a book.
• You can deactivate your account only in PC/ desktop mode of web site if using phone. If you deactivate your account it will be gone from wattpad but you can reactivate by simply logging in again, but if you reactivate it after many months or someone else had made an account with same username as yours, you won't be able to reactivate again. Plan accordingly if you ever wanted to deactivate wattpad account for sometime.
