Caelum's POV
I hear Darren screaming and I'm fighting the urge to kick the door down.
I hear a thud. All of a sudden I smell the most beautiful scent in existence. It just hit my nose and I'm already addicted. Nate, my wolf is bouncing up and down. "My mate!"
I can tell it's coming from Darren's office, so I burst into the room. My attention automatic falls on unconscious Tia, my mate.
"Mate."
I bend down checking her pulse. She's okay. Thank the moon goddess.
I look over to Darren with nothing but anger. I stride towards him. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO HER?" I grab him by his throat, pushing him up against the wall. I see a half naked girl run out.
He smirks "Nothing. I just accepted her rejection the little bitch passed out." My wolf immediately takes control, I punch him right in the nose, breaking it.
I don't stop there. I can't help but repeatedly punch him. Over and over.
"Do you" punch "fucking know" punch " how much" punch "pain you caused her?"
He finally gets one punch in. "I AM YOUR ALPHA YOU RESPECT ME." He yells. This doesn't threaten me one bit. No one, ever hurts my mate.
He shifts, which is a big mistake. He just lost his mate, his wolf is weak. I waste no time shifting as well.
Now, my wolf is in one hundred percent control. And if I'm protective, no one is ready for Nate. He might kill him, I quite frankly do not care. He's done enough.
Nate jumps on top of the black wolf clawing at his face.
Tired of wasting time, Nate bites his neck, going for his jugular, killing him.
I just killed my alpha. Wait that means I'm alpha.
What if I can't do it? What if I let down my pack? What if I let down my mate?
Wait I just killed my so called best friend. He didn't deserve to be called that. I think to myself, feeling no remorse.
"Yes I killed him and I'll do it to anyone who even thinks about hurting mate." My wolf states.
I shift back scooping Tia into my arms bridal-style.
Not caring that I'm naked, I rush her into the room I have here for when I stay. Everyone in the halls looks at me shocked. Not because I'm naked, which is pretty normal for werewolves, but because they know I'm now their alpha.
When a wolf's rank changes so does their scent. And the only way for me to become alpha is Darren dying. They all know I killed him.
When I get to my room I set her on the bed and quick get clothes on.
I mindlink Avery, our best pack doctor to come over and check on my mate.
She arrives with in five minutes.
I watch closely as she checks her vitals. Until she approaches me. "The Luna is fine. Do you mind me asking what happened?"
I explain her whole situation. "This is a completely normal reaction. She should be waking up soon." She explains.
"Thank you, doc." I thank her.
"Anytime, Alpha." She says, packing up her things then leaving.
I sit beside Tia on the bed. I need her in my arms. So, I carefully pick her up, resting her on my chest. "I love you" I whisper into her ear, before kissing her forehead.

Tia's POV
My eyes jolted open and I see a beautiful garden. Where am I? Did I die? Where's Caelum? I have so many questions right now.
All of a sudden a beautiful woman approaches me. "Hello my child." She greets, in a soft voice.
"W-who are you?" Honestly, I feel comfortable with this woman, it's kind of weird.
"Well you probably know me as the Moon Goddess."
"W-what?" Where are my manners? Oh my you're embarrassing yourself in front of the moon goddess. Get yourself together Tia!" I bow my head.
"No need for that my child." The goddess says, smiling. "I've called for you, to apologize."
"For what?" I ask out of curiosity. I know I have my rough patches but I trust that I'll get the fate she wants me to have.
"I've made a great mistake." She starts. "But even if I do match the wrong people, true mates will always find each other."
"W-what?" I don't get it. What is she talking about?
"You'll know every soon my child."
And then again I'm met with the darkness.
Not for long though. My eyes flutter open. I smell the smell. My heart skips a beat when I look up to my gorgeous mate.
"'Mate." The word just falls out of my mouth.
"Tia" Caelum pulls me into the best kiss we've ever shared. I love him
When he pulls away he nuzzles his face into my neck and inhales "Mine" his wolf growls.
He pulls me even closer, if that's even possible. "I love you Caelum." I admit, tears of joy falling from my eyes
"I love you so much Tia." He loves me. I have a mate, who loves me.
"Can we please, please please go for a run? I wanna play with my mate." Sky asks.
In a little Sky.
Wait. Something is different. I sniff my mate. "A-Are you the alpha now?" I question.
"Ye-yeah I am." He says nervously.
I realize what happened for him to become alpha. "D-did you kill him?" I ask.
"Y-yes I did. Please don't be scared of me. I just needed t-" I shut him up with a kiss. "I'm not scared of you, I know you'd never hurt me. And I also know you did it to protect me." He squeezes me.
"Thank you." He thanks me, which I'm not really sure why... "For what?" I question.
"For always understanding." He explains.
"Don't thank me." I don't see why he would thank me. It's the bare minimum I could do as his mate.
"I love you baby." I can tell this is his wolf speaking, his eyes are black, his voice is deeper, and my favorite part is the nickname he has for me, it never fails to make me smile.
I give Sky have control, letting her be apart of this special moment as well. "I love you more." She counters.
"Never." Caelum's wolf who I know as Nate tells Sky.
"Do you want to go on a run?" I ask.
"Do I?" He picks me up slipping on shoes, taking us outside.
He sets me down on the field. We both shift and he's the first to take off.
My white wolf chases his gray one. Sky quickly catches up to her mate and playfully tackles him.
He flips them over and licks her cheeks.
In this moment, I'm happy. This is love.
