Your head was tilted back with your mouth wide open. You were waiting for your plane to board, but you passed out as soon as you sat down. The previous night you had been up late stressing about Ian's wedding tomorrow. Tom was going to be there, and man could you not wait to see him.

Hannah tapped on your shoulder a few times, waking you up from your nap. "The plane is going to leave you if you don't get up."

You jumped out of your seat and grabbed your bag. The corner of your mouth felt wet so you wiped it off before boarding the plane. Hannah let you have the window seat as you sat in first class. Her condition was that she would have it on the way back.

There was a screen in front of you showing a map. It had a plane at the airport where you were now and a circle where your destination was. Ian was going to meet you at the airport in London to pick you and Hannah up. He wanted to take you two out to eat to finally meet Paisley, his bride-to-be.

Hannah sat down after putting her carry-on bag in the storage above the seats. "If I don't find a guy at this wedding, I'm going to sue."

You chuckled as you looked through the pamphlet of what to do if the plane were to crash in the ocean. "Why do you want to find a guy here?"

"Weddings are the best place to find a guy."

"Almost everyone going is gonna be from London."

Hannah looked at you with a pointed look. "That's the whole point."

"So you want a long-distance relationship?"

"Who said anything about a relationship?" Hannah sat back in her seat. She put her headphones in as she played her music.

"Oh." You laughed as you put the pamphlet back into the seat pocket.

When you landed and picked up your bags, you found Ian who was holding a cardboard sign and flowers. Yours and Hannah's names were written out in large black letters.

"I hope you're hungry." Ian mumbled in your hair as you hugged him.

"Starving." Hannah answered for you as she took the flowers out of Ian's hands. "I didn't eat on the plane."

"Good. Paisley is already at the restaurant."

The three of you left together as you went to the restaurant. Paisley was the most beautiful person you have ever seen. She was poised with long blonde hair. Her nails were done for the wedding in a simple but elegant French tip style. You could see why Ian was taken by her. If he wasn't marrying her, you would.

The two didn't keep you and Hannah very long. They knew you were probably tired from the long flight. After the restaurant, you and Hannah went to the hotel that you booked for the couple of days you would be staying there. She had her own room and you had yours. It didn't take long for either of you to get changed and pass out of the comfortable beds.

The wedding was at three in the afternoon. You and Hannah started to get ready around noon to have enough time to be dressed and make your way to the venue.

You curled your hair in simple waves. Your dress was a long satin rusty orange color maxi dress. It went perfect with the tan that you were getting from filming near the ocean for so many weeks.

Hannah was blaring music as she got ready. She still hadn't put her dress on by the time you were ready. She was too busy dancing in front of the mirror to get dressed.

"Hannah, I'm giving you a ten minute time limit before I leave you." You yelled out over her music.

She twirled around and pouted. "I'm going to need like twenty."

"Fifteen."

"Fine." She picked up her razor and started to shave her legs that she missed earlier.

You sprayed a crap ton of hairspray in your hair and applied lipstick before heading to the lobby. Hannah held Ian's wedding gift that she split with you. She didn't know what to get him, and she didn't know Paisley, so she just paid half of whatever you were getting.

"I want to explore London. I haven't been here before." Hannah looked out the window of the cab as it drove the both of you to the wedding venue.

"We have all day tomorrow."

"Then we have to leave." She frowned at you.

"Sorry. This girl has to go back to work."

Hannah smirked. "With Timothée Chalamet. Who has a crush on you I do believe. How was your date that wasn't a date?"

"We have been hanging out as friends only. Nothing more." You swiped a hand at your hair to get it off of your shoulder.

"Sure."

"You know how I feel about a certain someone."

"Ah, yes. He's going to be at the wedding right?"

"I think so. We haven't spoken much since he called me that one day. He said he was going then, I don't know if he's changed his mind since."

"(Y/n), sometimes I want to be you."

You laughed and pushed her shoulder. She went back to looking out the window as the cab made its way down the road.

People were piling into the chapel as you arrived. Ian told you it would be a small wedding, but this did not look small. There was a massive tent outside decorated with string lights. There was a dance floor with tables to the side for people to sit at.

Inside the chapel, was decorated to the nines. Flowers decorated an arch where Ian and Paisley would later stand. You gawked at how elegant everything looked. It was crazy how they pulled this together with such little time. It really did make you think if Paisley was already pregnant.

You spotted a curly-headed boy sitting alone in a pew. You smiled and started to make your way over to him when a girl smiled and sat beside him. She leaned in to whisper in his ear, and he started laughing.

You took a step back and Hannah looked at where your eyes were glued. She wrapped her arm around yours and continued walking you forward.

"You good?" She whispered.

"I'm fine. Just caught off guard." You cleared your throat.

Both of you made it to the front of the chapel and took your seats. You made sure to not look in Tom's direction at all. Your mother and father were sitting a row in front of you, which made you sit up straighter.

"Should I say something?" You leaned over to Hannah suggesting talking to your parents.

"I would say no, but that's probably the wrong answer."

"Damn." You wiped your hands on the pew beneath you. You stood you and walked in front of your parents. "Hello."

"(Y/n), nice to see you." Your father grabbed your hand and patted the top of it.

"Mom." You greeted.

She took in your outfit, your shoes, your makeup, your painted nails, but she looked away from you as she spoke. "You look nice."

"Thank you." You looked at Hannah, surprised at the compliment. "How was your trip here?"

"Your mother got tipsy on the plane." Your father laughed as he continued to try and explain the story, but he couldn't get the words out. "Then she ... but she hiccuped."

You cracked a small laugh at how hard your father was laughing. Your mother looked annoyed as she slapped his leg.

"(Y/f/n), stop it." She warned.

You felt a pair of eyes on you that weren't your parents or Hannah. You couldn't help but look at the other side of the room where Tom was looking at you. He looked concerned as you talked to your parents since he knew last time didn't go too well. You put your hair behind your ear and went back to the conversation with your parents.

Your mother smiled as your father kissed the side of her head. "Sorry, it was too funny."

"Last time I drink on the plane."

"(Y/n), how was your trip?" Your father asked.

"It was good. We got here yesterday."

"We?" Your mother asked thinking you had a date with you. You pointed behind her where Hannah started waving. "Hannah, I didn't know you were invited."

"I was. It's nice to see you Mrs. (y/m/n)."

People started taking their seats when the music started playing. You watched the bridesmaids and groomsmen take their places on either side of the arch. Everyone stood as Here Comes the Bride started playing. Paisley walked out looking even more beautiful than she did yesterday. Her dress literally sparkled from the way the lights were hitting it. She was smiling from ear to ear as she watched Ian. Ian was tearing up but was trying to hold it back.

You looked at Tom instinctively as Paisley was passing his row. He caught your eye and smiled at you. You smiled back but looked away as the girl beside him grabbed his tux to pull him to sit.

At the end of the reception, Ian and Paisley ran down the aisle. People were cheering and clapping as they made their way outside. Everyone was excused to go outside to the tent where there was an open bar as the bride and groom took pictures.

You went out with Hannah and sat at one of the tables. You couldn't help but watch Tom and the girl he brought with him. He was laughing at everything she was saying, it made you roll your eyes.

You walked up to the open bar as Hannah was occupied with finding herself a man. When the bartender was distracted, you reached over and took a whole bottle of champagne, and went back into the chapel.

You watched your feet take their steps towards the front of the room. Rose petals covered the ground but were mainly clumped together in piles from Paisley's train running over them.

You sat in the pew that you were just in and stared at the arch where Ian and Paisley took their first kiss as husband and wife. You took a swig out of the bottle wondering if one day you would get their happy ending. One day have your own white dress, your own bridesmaids, a ring on your finger. You raised your left hand up in the air and tried to imagine what a ring would look like on that specific finger. Or even who would be standing opposite of you as you exchanged vows.

You dropped your hand and made your way to the ground. You rolled over so your back was on the cold ground as you stared up at the wooden pew. It didn't take long for Hannah to come searching for you.

"(Y/n)?" Hannah yelled out as walked inside the chapel. You could hear her heels click against the ground as she searched for you.

You turned over onto your side. You stared at the multiple rows of pews in front of you. You grabbed the champagne bottle that you stole from behind the bar and took a drink, listening to Hannah get closer and closer.

She bent down a couple of rows behind you and looked underneath to see you. She got up and made her way to where you have been hiding for the past thirty minutes.

"How much longer do you plan to stay here?" Hannah asked as she laid down beside you on the ground.

You rolled over onto your back and handed her the bottle. "I might not re-emerge. The ground is becoming quite comfortable." You patted the floor as you stared at the bottom of the wooden pew.

"It's not that bad you know."

You scuffed and jerked the bottle out of her hands. "'Not that bad.' There's a slut here with him. I'm sorry, she's not a slut. That's mean, I don't even know her. I'm just upset."

Hannah snorted, earning a hard glare from you. "I'm sorry, but I have never seen you like this over a guy before. I can't remember the last time you had feelings for someone."

"Vance Egerton." You chuckled at the memory. "I was so young. I thought we would get married and live in a big house together. Ah, middle school crushes. Then he kissed Jessica Martinez at the school dance when I was his date."

Hannah dramatically gasped and slapped a hand over her mouth. "No! How dare he. Should I find his address and tell him how much he missed out?"

"It's okay, I already got my revenge. I told Jessica that he picked his nose all the time and wiped them under his chair. She stayed away after that."

Hannah laughed and she held your hand. "I think we should go outside and join the rest of the party. Nothing is going to get accomplished if you stay under here and hide from everything."

You moved your head to rest it on your shoulder as you looked at her. "I think if you shot me it would hurt less."

"Babe, he's another Vance in your life. He doesn't know what he's missing. Come dance with me and forget about him. We'll be the sexy couple out on the dance floor." She gently squeezed your hand.

"I don't think my mother would approve of that." You snickered as you started to crawl out from under the pew.

"When does she ever approve of what either of us do?"

"You right." You ran outside with Hannah as she tugged your hand along.

She made it to the dance floor where guests were already dancing. She lifted both of your hands in the air with hers. She twirled you around and then pulled you close to her. You decided to have fun and grabbed her back to make her dip. You both were laughing when Tom stepped up behind Hannah.

"May I cut in?"

Hannah stood up right away. She looked at you for confirmation before stepping aside to let Tom in. She gave him the stank eye behind his back, which made you put a hand over your mouth to not laugh.

"Hi." He said.

"Hi." You were still smiling after Hannah's stunt.

"How are you?"

"I'm doing good. My feet hurt, but other than that." You moved your foot away from your dress to show Tom your heels.

"Take them off. Who needs shoes anyway?" He shrugged his shoulders.

You quietly continued dancing with him. He pulled you away, but still held onto one of your hands. He then pulled you back in by making you twirl into his chest.

"What happened to your date?" He went back to the simple moves of holding one hand while the other rested on your lower back.

"What date?"

"You said you were bringing someone here."

You looked at him weirdly, not knowing what he meant. "I never said that."

"I asked you over the phone and you said yeah."

"I don't remember you asking that at all. The last thing I remember us talking about before you hung up on me, by the way rude, is how fast Ian and Paisley planned this wedding."

Tom looked up at the ceiling of the tent trying to remember the full conversation. "Yeah, right after that I asked you if you were bringing someone here."

"Right after that, I was talking to Timothée. I tried to explain that but you were gone."

Tom looked embarrassed as he wiped a hand over his face. "So when you said yeah you were talking to someone else?"

"Yep. But it looks like you brought someone here with you." You tried to hold back how jealous the words sounded as they came out.

Tom laughed. "She's my cousin."

You looked a little bit grossed out. "You brought your cousin to a wedding as a date?"

"I didn't want to come alone, and she's not a date. She offered, but the real reason she came was because she was excited when she found out Ian was the groom. She's obsessed with him. Possibly a little bit jealous he's officially taken."

You put your forehead against his shoulder and laughed. He started laughing with you while squeezing your hand.

"You know in a couple of weeks you're going to have to see my face for a whole four days with little to no breaks."

You groaned as you threw your head back. "Oh god. Someone help me."

"Hey, if I was you I would be thrilled."

"Yeah but that's because you're obsessed with yourself."

"And you're not?"

You tried not to stiffen, obviously knowing he only said this as a joke. "Not even close."

He grinned. He leaned in and whispered slowly. You could feel his breath against your neck. "Are you sure about that?"

"Tom, you're dangerously close. I have full opportunity to knee you right now." You moved your head away, mainly to get your cheeks from becoming any redder than what they probably already were.

He pulled back. "I like how easily you get flustered."

"I hate you. You know that right?" All the words came out playfully as you laughed.

"Darling, I hate you more." He smiled at you, knowing full well neither of you hated each other.
