Nobody's POV:
It was the middle of spring, and Paris looked like something out of a fairytale. Flowers were blooming everywhere you looked and the sky was a beautiful baby blue, dotted with a couple of clouds here and there. You could even hear the birds chirping with their newborn chicks. Everything was perfect.
Marinette wished she could be outside. But instead, she was stuck inside her stupid classroom, listening to her stupid classmates talk about the most stupid things that were completely untrue, just a glass window away from happiness. But that was school, and all Marinette could do was wait as the time ticked away so she could escape this hellhole.
Of course, she had her four best friends, but it was hard to talk when the entire class and teacher hated them, and anytime they said anything at a normal speaking level Lila would somehow be offended, even if they were talking about the most random topics. Marinette glanced at the clock above the door and sighed happily when she saw that they only had five minutes left of class.
Just at that moment, Miss Bustier stood up, finally putting her phone down and actually paying attention to the class. "Students, can I have your attention please?" she called. Once she had everybody's eyes on her she continued "I have an announcement to make. Mr. Bruce Wayne has finally come to a decision about the contest, and I am very happy to tell you all that... WE HAVE WON!".
The entire class gasped and erupted into cheers. Everyone was so happy, especially MG. This meant a new start for them, away from Lila, and they could finally live in peace. Lila too was happy and cheered along with the rest of the class. But inside, she was plotting ways to trap the Waynes in her lies too. It would mean she would be invincible. She could even try to get the youngest son, Damien to like her. It would secure a fantastic future for her, full of wealth, partying, and fame.
The whole of MG ran to each other and had a massive group hug, and a few tears were even shed. This was the best news they had gotten since Shadowmoth's defeat. But of course, it had to be interrupted by a winey, high-pitched voice, belonging to a certain b*tch.
"Oh, my Damiboo must have convinced his father to let us come because we all know that there's no way Marinette's essay would have ever won on its own!" Lila boasted, a huge fake smile plastered on her face. All her sheep nodded in agreement and turned their attention to Lila. "Hey, do you think that you could get me an interview with Louis Lane and Clark Kent, they live in Gotham too!" Alya pleaded. (And yes I know they don't actually live there, but it just makes the story easier so just go with it :) ). "Well of course Alya, and I know some of you have spoken about your other idols and I'll see if I can get in touch, but I should be able to help most of you!" the lying fox blabbered, before continuing to promise a heap of amazing things to all her classmates, excluding MG.
Of course, they would never happen, but she would simply make up another lie when the time came so that it would never be her fault. Because of course, she would do everything she could, but the celebrities would of course stab her in the back or be too busy, and then she would sob about her ruined friendship, and all the attention would be back on her. Just how she liked it. The whole class was screaming their heads off at these empty promises, and MG could only snicker from the back, watching as their mindless classmates screamed and jumped around like a pack of apes.
"Now class, settle down, there's no need to make such a ruckus." Miss Bustier soothed. The class, after a couple of minutes, finally settled down and sat back at their desks. "Now we will be leaving on Saturday morning so that we arrive in time to get settled for the week ahead. So that leaves three days to pack, as it is Wednesday today, so make sure you are organized and pack enough for our month-long tour. As our flight leaves at 8 in the morning, we will meet her at the school at 6 am, so we can get a bus to the airport, go through security, and board. Our flight is roughly 8 hours, so it should be 10 am in Gotham time by when we get there. Make sure you wake up nice and early and don't leave all of your packing until the last minute. Pack enough clothing and other supplies to last for the entire month. Some of you may need to set multiple alarms to make sure that you wake up on time because some people have a history of being late." the carrot-haired teacher explained. Marinette rolled her eyes at her teacher's condescending implication.
"Marinette," she stated, smirking, "because you are the contest winner, Mr. Bruce Wayne will be in contact will you to send you the documents regarding the activities for the month and other important details. Please do not mess this up. I want you to be as polite as possible so that you don't cost us the trip with your silly attitude problem. Am I clear?". Marinette ground her teeth together to stop herself from screaming at her ginger b*tch of a teacher. "Crystal," she growled.
"Alright then. Now that that's settled, I would like to share with you one more exciting bit of news. As you know, Bruce Wayne hosts many charity events such as walk-a-thons, fashion shows, and even auctions. Of course, many well-known celebrities join in on these events to gather crowds. Well, the day before we leave Gotham to head back to Paris, he is hosting a massive gala, where celebrities and even royals from all over the globe will be invited, and all donations will go to charity. Well, guess what..." she drawled. "THE ENTIRE CLASS IS INVITED!".
The class went crazy, all the girls were screeching like banshee's and clinging to each other jumping up and down, whilst the guys blasting phrases like 'OH LET'S GO' and 'YEAH BRO' like the dense gorillas they were. It was like all the animals from a zoo had come and taken over the souls of the teenage students.
MG, however, reacted in a much more civilized manner. They all came together in the back of the class, distancing themselves from their wild classmates, to smile and converse about how excited they were to get the chance to go to Gotham, and possibly get to meet up with some of their celebrity friends. You might be wondering how they had such friends? Well, not only were they top models for MS (yk the designer) aka Marinette, who had become extremely famous worldwide. She even had the support of Audrey Bourgeois, Jagged Stone! Marinette was also the incredible new music sensation Nettie, who every girl wanted to be, and every guy wanted to be with. She did many collaborations with celebrities and had remained all of their friends since.
But Marinette was not the only one in MG who had a secret identity (other than the heroes ofc). Chloe, after becoming a better person, really focused on her grades, as Sabrina was not there to help, and realised that she was actually great at picking up information. With her fiery attitude and great skill at getting people to listen, she became the amazing Lawyer CB, and had never lost a case.
Kagami had greatly improved her fencing skills and was now unbeatable, even Adrien and Marinette couldn't win against her. She became the top fencer in the world and won many medals (and cash prizes) in international competitions.
Luka teamed up with his father, Jagged Stone, and the two's fame skyrocketed with their amazing music. Adrien became the top model for Marinette's clothing line and used the skills he had learnt from his many years of modelling to really boost her brand. He also helped manage Marinette's finances and decisions with regards to her brand, as he excelled at all subjects, including maths. Marinette's other friends also modelled for her, but their faces were cut out or hidden in pictures because Marinette didn't want them to be swarmed by paparazzi like Adrien had been, and still was.
Of course, all their identities were remained hidden, as she had seen what fame had done to Adrien every time he stepped out of his house without his Bodyguard to protect him (crazy fans swarmed him if you don't know).
They all had events around the globe and often had to take time off school to do them. And when one person had to go, they all went to support them. Thus, if one of them made a celebrity friend, they all did.
And thus, they were extremely excited to go to the Gala, as all their friends from around the globe would be there in one place, at the one time. But they had enough self-control and class to not act like animals like the rest of their peers. When Miss Bustier finally got them to settle down, the bell had rung and it was the end of the day.
As they all filed out, Marinette turned to her friends and asked if they wanted to go to Andre's Icecream stand to celebrate. They all agreed of course, and so they dismissed their drivers and opted to walk in the beautiful fresh spring air instead. They all chatted about the most random of things, whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery around them. The birds chirped, the sky was blue, and the flowers were in full bloom. Marinette sighed, and thought to herself, I hope Gotham will be amazing too. Maybe we will make some great friends there.
Little did she know, she would make a lot more than friends in Gotham.
And with the Ice Prince of Gotham no less.

Sorry I've been away FOREVER. I went on holidays for a week to Hamilton Island. You can search it up if you want. It's really close to the Great Barrier reef, and I went snorkeling and shit like every single day. I even drove a golf buggy (but only like 30 metres cuz my parents were scared I was gonna crash and kill us). Aaaand now I have online learning for a week before I go back to actual school because of yet ANOTHER outbreak. But that's enough from me! I hope you liked the chapter.
