Onika's P.O.V.
It took me a few seconds to process the fact that the woman I had been dreaming about night after night was standing right in front of me. I wasn't sure why she ran away from me. But I made sure I found out.
I knocked on the dressing room door. "Hi, honey...Um...my name is Onika. I'm sorry you're upset, but can we talk?", I asked her.
She didn't respond. She just opened the door and allowed me to come in. She sat with her knees pressed against her chest. She took a few glances at me but she seemed shy and a little jittery. This wasn't the smooth, confident Beyoncè from my dreams. But was I disappointed. Not at all....
"Hi, beautiful. I just wanted to show you that my camera is ok", I told her.
"I'm sorry I made you drop it. I didn't mean to, it's just that...You...you look like someone that I've been trying to find", she said nervously. I tried to stay calm, but the confirmation that she had really been dreaming about me too had me ready to cry right along with her.
"You look like someone that I've been trying to find, too. Do you mind if I help you get your face all cleaned up?", I asked. I didn't want her to ruin her beautiful makeup. She nodded her head.
As I dried her tears and helped her fix her makeup, I asked, "Beyoncè, have you been having a lot of weird dreams lately?"
She was shocked by my question. "Yeah...I hope you don't think I'm weird, but I've been dreaming about you a lot. And I was wondering if you even really existed. So finally seeing you in the flesh is just a little overwhelming for me", she admitted.
"Am I that ugly?!", I said with a pout.
I finally got her to smile and laugh. She said, "No! You're gorgeous! That's one of the reasons why I'm so overwhelmed!"
I giggled and said, "Thank you, Beyoncè. Listen, I get it. Believe it or not, I've had several dreams about you, too. I wasn't sure if you actually existed either until I found you on Instagram this morning. And I can relate to the overwhelming feeling of seeing someone you've been dreaming about in the flesh as well. The whole thing is very surreal."
"I can't believe you dreamed about me, too...This is so crazy", Beyoncè said.
"Crazy indeed! But also a good thing, right?", I asked.
"Yes. It's a good thing now that I know that you're actually real. But one night I dreamed you had a girlfriend", she said.
"Well, I don't anymore! I caught her with another woman. She lied and told the girl she was single, so I allowed her to be that! Her wish came true. Now she's by her damn self because the chick she lied to don't want her ass either", I informed her.
"In the first dream I ever had about you, you cooked me gumbo. Do you cook that kind of stuff in real life?!", Beyoncè asked with a smile and wide, childlike eyes. She was too adorable!
I giggled and said, "Yes, Beyoncè! Tell you what, after we finish up with this video shoot, I'll make you some gumbo."
"Thank you! Onika....what happens now that we've found each other?", she asked.
I smiled and said, "Well we sort of know each other, but at the same time we don't. We're still kind of like strangers. So I think we should spend a lot of time getting to know one another. And then take it from there."
"I think so, too. Anyway, I guess I should change into this little freakum dress the director handed me", she said.
I chuckled, "Where have I heard that before?", I asked.
"What? Freakum dress?", she questioned.
"Yeah. I heard somebody say that before", I told her.
"If you did that person more than likely knows me because I'm the only person that says it", she said with a giggle.
I didn't remember who I heard say it at the time. But it was Michelle when we did her photoshoot. And at that time, neither of us knew that we both had Michelle in common. But we soon found out!

The video shoot with Lauren Juaregui went smooth! Beyoncè was so damn sexy. It was tough having to take pictures of her being all hot and steamy with another woman. But I knew it was all just acting.
Once we were done I asked Beyoncè if she wanted me to come to her house and cook the gumbo or did she want to come to me and Normani's place. She said, "I think my housemates are both on dates, so you can come to my place."
I told her to give me her address and I would be there after I did my grocery shopping. While I was there, I saw Shawntae's raggedy ass! I tried to avoid her but she followed me.
"Onika! Baby, please let me talk to you", she whined.
"I'm not your, baby! You've lost the right to call me that! And there's nothing we need to talk about", I exclaimed.
She said, "Onika, I fucked up and I'm sorry! I don't know why I did what I did..."
"Because you ain't shit! That's why you did what you did! I gave you a chance when people said I shouldn't! I stayed with you when people told me to leave! I was faithful to you while you were out here being unfaithful to me! So you got what you deserved, Brat", I yelled right in the grocery store. I'm usually a lot more civilized, but she had me fucked up!
"Ok, that's all facts, Onika! That's why I wanted to ask you if we could just start over! I just want to make things right with you! Please", she begged.
"Shawntae, we're done! I can't trust you! Now please let me finish shopping so I can cook for my date", I said.
Yeah, that's right! I had to let her know that there was someone else that had my interest!
"Date?! Wow, now I see what's going on. But it's cool, Nika. I'm gone", she said.
This girl was a character! A dramatic one. I don't know who she thought was about to give her another chance but it certainly wasn't Onika Maraj. Even if there was no Beyoncè, I still wouldn't have given Shawntae another chance to play me. Never again!
After I had all my gumbo ingredients, I headed to Bey's place. When I arrived, I saw Michelle coming out of the house. I was so confused! And thought maybe I had the wrong place....
"Michelle?!", I called out to her in a confused tone. She looked back and waved. She came to my car.
"Hey, girl!!!! Beyoncè just told me you're her mystery dream girl! She lost it when she found out we met weeks ago and you were at my party and everything", she said.
"Girl, I'm about to lose it! Did you tell her you're dating my best friend?!", I asked.
"Yep! The world is so small. You should've told her your name sooner in her dreams, girl", Michelle said.
I laughed and said, "My bad! Where you headed?", I asked.
"To go get your girl! We're going to the movies and then out to eat. You might find me in her bed when you get home tonight though", she said with a smirk.
"So what else is new?!", I asked while shaking my head.
She laughed and said, "I left the door open for you so go right in. Have a great time with Bey, Onika!"
I thanked her and walked in. Beyoncè fixed her hair and clothes nervously and said, "Hi, Onika! Um, thanks for coming to cook for me. But if you're tired you don't have to because I can cook for you. I mean I only know how to make three things that Kelly taught me but it'll be good", she said.
I laughed and said, "Relax, beautiful! I'm happy to cook for you. Just show me to the kitchen and I'll get started."
As I cooked, Beyoncè turned on some music and we talked...
"Do you have any siblings, Beyoncè?", I asked.
"Yes! My sister Solange is 23. How about you?", she asked.
"I have a fraternal twin sister named Lauren. Our short height and dimples are identical though", I said.
Beyoncè chuckled and said, "That's dope....And I just got your message on Instagram."
"I saw yours while I was at the grocery store! Do you really want a photoshoot appointment or were you just trying to meet me?", I asked.
"I was definitely trying to meet you! Do you really want to work with me or were you just trying to meet me?", she asked.
I smiled and said, "Both honestly...."
She blushed. I had so much fun eating, talking and laughing with her. I still couldn't believe that I was in the presence of my dream girl!
"That was really delicious, Onika. Thank you for cooking for me", she said.
I told her it was my pleasure. Then, she received text messages from both Kelly and Michelle saying they were going to spend the night at their girlfriends houses.
"Onika...if you want to give Michelle and Normani some alone time, you're welcome to stay over here for the night. I mean, I'm not trying to get you to get into bed with me. But we can hang out down here and watch movies all night if want", Beyoncè said.
I smiled and said, "I would like that."
