I sit in between Rafe and Barry as the truck pulls up outside the Cameron residence, my gaze numbly on the windshield.
"This is your stop, country club" Barry speaks up.
"Are you okay?" I hear Rafe ask me for the fiftieth time since he found me and I ignore him.
"Y'know, maybe she'd reply if you didn't just try to drown her" Barry states.
"What?" I snap in confusion, turning to look at the man.
Barry's eyes widen and he glances at Rafe but I snap my fingers in front of his face, making him look at me.
"Don't look at him. Answer me" I demand.
"Well-" He tries to speak.
"Shut up" Rafe warns him.
"She's gonna find out eventually, bro" Barry argues.
"You're the one that flushed out the sewer, aren't you?" I realise, turning to look at Rafe.
"Told you" Barry mutters, confirming my thoughts.
"That's how you got there so fast. You were already there" I point out, my eyes watering as I stare at him with a look of betrayal "You tried to drown me"
"I swear, I didn't know you were down there with her" Rafe tries to assure me and I look at him in disbelief.
"And that's okay, is it?!" I shriek "You were just going to drown Kiara?!"
"Addy" He sighs.
"Oh, shut up!" I retort.
I push the door open and climb over him, slapping his hands away as he tries to pull me back.
"Goodbye, Barry" I tell the man who nods at me awkwardly.
Rafe huffs and jumps out the car, chasing after me as I walk away from him in anger. Barry drives off and I'm caught by the arm, causing me to spin around to face the boy.
"Don't fucking touch me!" I spit, ripping my arm away from him.
"Please just let me explain" He pleads.
"I don't fucking care about your stupid explanation, Rafe. You almost drowned me!" I yell at him.
"I didn't mean to!" He argues.
"That doesn't change the fact I could've died!" I scream in his face.
"I'm sorry" He chokes out, his eyes welling up with tears "I never want to hurt you. I mean it"
"You could've killed me" I press, my voice lowering as I watch tears run down his face.
"I know, and I hate myself for that, but please don't leave" He begs, trying to grab my hands.
"I hate you" I sneer in rage, stepping away from him.
"Addy, please" He adds.
"Leave me alone" I demand, storming off.

I sit on the beach with a small bottle of liquor in my hand, a couple oxys in my system and a clean set of clothes from the chateau on my recently washed body. The moon light scatters across the water in an almost hypnotising way and I take a sip from the bottle in my hand, watching the view.
I feel the presence of someone else as they sit down next to me and the smell of the cologne that I know so well lets me know exactly who it is without even looking at him.
"I thought I told you to leave me alone" I speak up.
"I couldn't stay away" He admits "I missed you"
"That sounds like a you problem, not a me problem" I mumble.
"I'm going away tomorrow. To the Bahamas" He tells me.
"Well, have fun...I guess" I reply, ignoring the disappointment I feel at his words.
"That's it?" He questions me "Is this really how you want to leave us?"
"As far as I'm aware, there is no us" I lie with a shrug.
"You don't mean that" He says, his voice not as confident as his words.
"I do" I argue, turning to finally look at him "You mean nothing to me"
"Don't be like that" He pleads lowly.
"If you don't like my attitude then go away" I tell him.
"You know I can't just walk away" He states, trying reach out for my hand but I snatch it away before he can take it in his own.
"Again, that sounds more like a you problem than a me problem" I declare bluntly.
"I want you to come to the Bahamas with me" He blurts out and I glare at him, anger bubbling up inside me.
"You want me to leave the country with you after you tried to kill me?" I scoff in disbelief.
"I've already told you, Addy. I didn't mean to hurt you" He stresses "You mean everything to me"
"You have a really funny way of showing it" I mutter.
"I'll do better. I promise" He assures me "Let me show you"
"Honestly, just stop trying to weasel your way into my life. It's not cute, it's really fucking annoying" I warn him.
"It's too late to stop" He groans, shuffling closer to me "I can't make it on my own anymore. I need you"
"Why are you so whiney and needy?" I snap at him, taking a swig of liquor and looking back at the water.
"Because you make me like this, okay? I can't help it" He huffs.
"You are such a fucking pain in the ass, Rafe" I grumble in annoyance, running my fingers through my blonde waves.
"But so are you!" He retorts, raising his voice.
"Excuse you" I scoff, turning to look at him again.
"Addy, you refuse to do the laundry until you literally have no other option. You eat pizza for breakfast, cold from the day before. You won't put gas in a car until it starts beeping. You won't admit that we're meant to spend the rest of our lives together. You hog all the blankets until you overheat and then you throw them onto me. You know what? There's probably milk in your fridge that is older than me" Rafe rants wildly, throwing his hands around.
"What did you just say?" I ask in shock.
"About the blankets?" Rafe offers, looking sheepish.
"No, you know which part I mean" I state, looking at him with furrowed brows "Are you being serious?"
"Yeah, I am" He answers "I don't wanna spend another day without you, ever"
"Well, like I said. You're a fucking pain in the ass" I declare, a small smile tugging at my lips and Rafe's lips curl up into a lopsided grin.
