Before anything else started on the screen, some more people arrived. Now Aletheia was getting annoyed. Not only were they going to watch her life, but more and more people kept coming in. She glared up and shouted. "IF YOU WANT TO SEND ANY MORE PEOPLE SEND THEM RIGHT NOW. I AM NOT GOING TO EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON EVERYTIME BECAUSE YOU FORGOT SOMEONE IMPORTANT. AND IF I SEE ANYONE COMING LATER, I SWEAR I WILL LOCK YOU UP IN HELL FOR A CENTURY."
Everyone except Damon, Stefan, Luna, Theo, Fred and George looked at her like she was crazy.
"Are you all right, sweetheart?" Lily couldn't help but ask. She felt some connection to the girl but she wasn't able to make out what it was. Maybe they knew each other in the future?
Aletheia froze for a second at being addressed by Lily but nodded slightly. "Yes Ms. Evans."
Lily smiled back, "Call me Lily."
Aletheia nodded.
Surprising everyone, except a few, two more people did come in.
So, the newcomers introduced themselves after recieving explanations of why they were here.
"Draco Malfoy. Wizard." Lucius and Narcissa couldn't believe their eyes. They had a son. Narcissa was betrothed to Lucius so it was obvious that he was their son. An arranged marriage. Narcissa knew that neither of them held any love for the other but she was glad to know that she would have a child, a son.
"Neville Longbottom. Wizard." Alice blushed looking at her boyfriend, Frank. He smiled at her which she returned wholeheartedly, they had a son in the future.
"Jenna Sommers. Vampire." Jeremy leaped into his aunt's arms. He had missed her. Elena ran to her arms as well.
"Lorenzo St. John. Vampire." Damon nodded at his best friend. Enzo returned back a lazy smirk.
"Silas. Immortal psychic. The originator of Salvatore doppelgängers. Hello, my shadow self." The last part was directed at Stefan.
"Amara. Immortal psychic. The originator of Petrova doppelgängers."
Everyone, especially, Katherine, Stefan and Elena stared at their originators. So they were the reason doppelgängers existed in the first place. Stefan looked like he was about to faint which was impossible seeing that he was a vampire.
And surprising everyone, he did faint when Silas addressed him.
A snap was heard. Everyone turned to see Thea with a camera in her hands. She had just taken a picture of Stefan fainting. "What?" She asked, as she felt the eyes on herself.
Damon just smirked, high-fiving his daughter.
Kol had stiffened upon hearing the name Silas. He liked being alive (undead) without having 'hell on earth'. And them being here meant that somewhere in the future they played some part in the life of the heterochromic witch that had caught his eye. Once again, his eyes trailed back to the youngest Salvatore who was standing next to her father.
After Stefan woke up, thanks to Thea pouring water over him, she impatiently said, "Why don't we start watching? I wanna get this over with." Many nodded in agreement.
Theo smirked at her and held out his hand with a small bow, "My queen."
Theo got strange glances for the way he addressed her from those who heard him. Kol wondered if the witch was dating him.
Aletheia slipped her hand into his as he kissed the back of her hand. From next to her, Damon was glaring at Theo heatedly while the future generation (i.e. the twins, Luna, Draco and Neville) rolled their eyes, used to their dramatics.
After everyone settled down again, the screen started playing.
31st July, 1990, St. Mungo's
"St. Mungo's? What sort of a name is that?" Rebekah asked.
"It's a magical hospital, Ms. Mikaelson." Lily answered.
"Oh please, call me Rebekah."
"Sure Rebekah, please call me Lily." Lily smiled at her, which was returned excitedly. Rebekah liked the young redhead. She hoped that they could be friends.
The screen shows a very tense James Potter pacing in the corrider of St. Mungo's. Screams are heard from the door he was standing outsie of.
"What's going on? Why am I pacing?" James asked as he saw his future self.
He recieved shrugs.
"JAMES FUCKING POTTER! YOU ARE NEVER GETTING NEAR ME AGAIN. I AM NEVER GOING TO HAVE BLOODY SEX WITH YOU EVER AGAIN. I'LL KILL YOU. AND CUT OFF YOUR DICK. YOU..."
Everyone winced, hearing the loud shouts.
"Someone's in trouble." Sirius sang and James scowled.
The mothers exchanged glances, while the fathers grimaced having experienced the death threats of their wives. They knew what this was. These were the screams of a woman giving birth.
The screams stop and crying is heard.
"Crying?"
The healers comes out. "You have a healthy daughter, Lord Potter."
"D-daughter? I have a daughter? Oh Merlin! I am a father! Did you hear that? Mom, dad, dada, dadi, Padfoot, Uncle Charlie, Aunt Rea? I am a father." James stands up in excitement.
"Yes Jamie, but it is in the future. Currently you are still a student." Euphemia chuckles while others watch with hidden amusement.
Sirius clapped him on the back, "Congratulations Prongs."
"But who is the mother?" Frank questioned. Everyone shrugged in response though James had hope that it would be the girl of his dreams, his Lily-Flower.
James, Fleamont, Charlus and Henry share concerned looks as realization struck each of them. This will be the first time a girl is born in the Potter family. The first female Potter born into the family. The one who was prophesied to be the most powerful out of all Potters. The one who will be protected at any costs. The one the he had been waiting for, for centuries.
James froze. "A daughter? A girl? Are you sure?"
"Of course Lord Potter."
James smiles a bit. 'It seems like the day has come. You won't have to wait much longer, my friend.' He thinks.
"What day?" Many people ask.
No response. James just stares at the screen eagerly, ignoring the questioning looks.
James rushes inside the room as his friends, Sirius Black, Niklaus Mikaelson, Marlene McKinnon, Frank and Alice Longbottom watch him amused.
"Nik? What the bloody hell are you doing there?" Kol questioned confused.
"None of your concern Kol." Nik scowled at him.
"I must say that even I am curious to know why you were there, Niklaus." Elijah agreed with Kol.
Klaus ignored his older brothers question as if he never said anything.
"You must be a close friend of James if he allowed you to there for the birth of his daughter." Fleamont commented, staring at the hybrid with an expressionless face.
"We are indeed quite good friends in the future, Lord Potter." Nik addressed him with proper title. Lily, James, Sirius and others had told him that in the Wizarding World you have to address everyone by their title unless given permission to do otherwise, and he was not going to spoil his friendship for disrespecting the traditions.
His siblings gave him a look of shock, who was this polite guy and what had he done to their brother, while the elders nodded in approval.
"But why aren't your other two friends there?" Bellatrix asked recieving weird looks from the present generations students, except the Black cousins. Why was Bellatrix Lestrange asking that?
Not that anyone except the Blacks knew that Sirius was closest to Bellatrix the most out of all his cousins except for his brother of course. They both were reckless, instinctive, crazy, loathed orders, excellent at duelling and even more similarities were there. Even after Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor, he stayed in touch with his cousins and brother. Bella was the first person to know about James Potter being his friend and that he was infertile. Sirius was the first person to know that Bella was forced join the Death Eater by her father.
After he was 'disowned' or rather he ran away from his home, their relation did get a bit strained with Bella being married but they still tried their best to owl each other once in a while. Contrary to the popular belief, Bella did not despise half-bloods and muggle borns. None of the Black cousins did but they all kept up an act, a facade, for the sake of their family. Though they did believe that their traditions and cultures were waning due to the muggle borns and couldn't help but resent them for that, even if they knew that it was not the muggle borns who were at fault.
Growing up with strict beliefs imposed on them and learning from a young age, all the cousins were formidable in their own ways. But they were still young at the end of the day. All the cousins hoped that one day, they could all be reunited without anyone objecting. That one day they could be a family again like when they were kids. After all, the Blacks bow to no one.
Sirius and James exchanged glances at the question, having a talk with their eyes, maybe this had to do with that, before shrugging. "We don't know. Maybe they are busy."
The screen shows Lily Potter holding a new born baby girl in her arms.
"Yes! I married Lily-Flower." James said with a huge smile.
Lily blushed as Severus scowled. Lily had liked James ever since she first saw him and it hurt her to see the dejected face he made every time she rejected his advances. But what was she to do? As at the end of the day, she was a muggle born whose friend had been insulted by James, even if the so called friend retaliated just as bad.
She had to keep up with the act of pretending to hate James or else everything would be messed up. All her plans will fail. Though it did help that Snape had called her the m-word. That way she could stop talking to him without having to explain herself.
She looks up with a huge smile on her face. James is looking at her, holding their daughter as she cradles the baby to her chest.
"Aww look baby version of my Queen." Theo whispered, heard only by the ones from future and vampires, with Damon glaring daggers at him.
"Why thank you, my subject." Aletheia smirked making Theo shake his head with a smirk and others laugh.
James faints on the spot as he sees his daughter in her mother's arms.
Everyone laughs as they watch James faint at the sight of his daughter while the Potters and Lily look at their future heiress awestruck. Sirius laughing the most.
Niklaus smiles at the sight of the baby as well, scaring the Mystic Falls gang and surprising his siblings.
Lily laughs through tears as Sirius and Niklaus enter the room.
"He fainted after seeing her, right?" Sirius asks, not daring to look at the baby, instead looking at Lily only.
"Why are you avoiding looking at the baby?" Jeremy asked curiously. He did not know any of these people but if they were forced to spend time togather while watching someone's life, it was better to be civil.
"Because he knows he will faint on seeing the baby as well." James replied, smirking at Sirius.
"Yes."
Same thing happens with Sirius, as soon as he sees the baby, a smile graces his face and he faints. Lily and Niklaus burst out laughing.
"See?" It was James' turn to laugh at Sirius, who was pouting.
"She is very beautiful, love." Niklaus says as James and Sirius wake up.
"Of course she is. She has mine and Lily-Flower's genes after all." James stated proudly. 'And maybe Sirius' as well.' he thought, knowing that his first born would be Sirius' heir as well seeing that Sirius was infertile due to reasons that only the cousins and James knew about.
"You did it, Lily-flower. Our daughter is beautiful, just like you." James says, a bit disoriented. "Are you alright? She's healthy, right?"
"How is she? Is she alright? Is she healthy?" Sirius starts questioning.
"Look at the two of you, so concerned for the baby." Marlene teases.
"She's my daughter." Both James and Sirius said, as if it explained everything. It did. Apparently Sirius had come to the same conclusion as James.
Everyone, including Lily and the Black cousins, sent Sirius questioning looks. Why was he saying the James' daughter was his daughter as well?
Neither James nor Sirius replied. Though Regulus did have an inkling as to why.
"Yes James, Siri, she is completely fine and healthy." Lily laughs. "Would either of you like to hold your daughter?"
"How did you both know that she will be both of yours daughter?" a confused Rebekah asked, many nodded in agreement with the question.
"More importantly, how can she have two fathers?" Caroline pointed out.
"Maybe she is blood adopted by Sirius." Narcissa suggested. The ones from Wizarding World nodded. That must be the explanation.
"What's that?" Elena asked.
"Blood adoption is a magial ritual which allows the adopted child to carry the genes of the one who adopted them, meaning the child will have their adopted parents features as well. Usually the people who are infertile or too old to concieve. By doing blood adoption, the child would have more than two parents. This process is also done to ensure that the line would carry out. It is quite a dangerous ritual as if performed wrong, the child may die." Regulus explained, receiving a proud nod from the Blacks and grateful smile from others.
"Of course, Lily-flower." James says as he takes his daughter from Lily and just stares at her with wonder as a smile graces his face. "She's so tiny." He says with awe visible on his face.
"Hey Prongs, stop hogging her and let me hold my daughter." Sirius says as he takes the baby from James and kisses her forehead. "She is going to be heart breaker as she grows up. We're gonna have hands full trying keep boys away from her, Prongsie."
The present Sirius and James nod along with male Potters and male Blacks. Sirius might be 'disowned' but the girl will be the future Black Heiress and the Blacks protect their own. Damon also nodded in agreement. While the female members rolled their eyes. Men.
"So girls are fine?" Lily questions innocently, her eyes twinkling with laughter.
"No boys OR girls."
Both James and Sirius snap their heads to her. "No boys or girls."
"What have you decided to name her?" Niklaus asks.
James, Sirius and Lily glance at each other before Lily nods.
"Aletheia" James says, "Aletheia Vulpecula Potter-Black."
"That's a beautiful name." Charlus smiled.
"And Vulpecula is also a constellation name so it follows the Black family tradition." Melania added.
"A very good choice." Niklaus comments.
As they were talking, Aletheia opened her eyes, blinking a few times.
"Her eyes are like emeralds." Marlene whispered in awe.
"Aww" was heard and everyone turned to Sirius to see him looking at Aletheia.
"She has your eyes, Lily-flower, with specks of silver-gray. And the shape of her eyes is just like yours, Prongs." Sirius says as he gives Aletheia to Lily.
Then, James turns to Niklaus, "Nik, would you like to be Thea's godfather?"
All the Potters and the Black cousins stared at Niklaus in shock. The Potters knew that only someone who James trusted with his life would be his child's godfather. It seems Niklaus is a lot closer to James in future then they thought. The cousins had the same thought as well.
Niklaus' eye widen in shock before he controls his emotions and gives a small smile. "It would be my utmost pleasure, James. But I do have a question. Why not Remus or Peter? Sirius, I understand as he is her father as well through blood adoption but Remus and Peter and not."
This time Lily answers, "Because even though they are James and Sirius' best friends, we know that no one other than you will protect her like their own. Remus is too afraid of being a werewolf and Peter is very shy and is scared of babies. Besides, they both trust him way too much even though I warned them. And we know that she will grow up happy with you, if anything ever happens to us. And they are not even here for her birth."
James and Sirius exchange dark looks while everyone else look at them confused. Lily just stares at the screen calculatingly.
Not many of the students and ex-students of Hogwarts were surprised on hearing that Remus Lupin's a werewolf. Most of them had come to the conclusion after seeing his condition and behaviour.
Niklaus takes Aletheia from Lily and looks at her. "I, Niklaus Mikaelson, accept Aletheia Vulpecula Potter-Black as my goddaughter and swear to protect her, always and forever. As I say, so mote it be."
"Always and Forever." Nik whispered while his siblings were shocked that he used their family vow.
A glow engulfs the two of them, showing that the godfather-goddaughter bond has been accepted and blessed by Lady Magic.
"What was that?" Kol asked, fascinated.
"That was Lady Magic blessing their bond." Arcturus answered.
Niklaus smiles at Alethaia as she stares at him, feeling an unknown emotion through his body. Something that makes him feel protective, relaxed, nervous, warmth, compassion, all at the same time. He realised he felt the same thing when he held his little brother, Henrik in his arms. He realised what it was, an emotion he had felt when he was human. An emotion long forgotten. An emotion known as love. Unconditional love with no expectations for anything in return.
The Mikaelsons glanced at their half-brother knowingly.
James, Sirius and Lily look at each other and smile, seeing Niklaus fall in love with baby Aletheia.
The door opens and their other friends enter. Marlene and Alice rushing to Lily while Frank holds a baby Neville in his arms.
"Is that you, Nev?" Blaise asked. Neville nodded making Blaise smirk. "You were so cute then, what the fuck happened?"
Neville rolled his eyes good naturedly while someone said, "Language."
"English." Aletheia and all her friends chorused.
"What's her name?" "Is she healthy?" "Who does she look like?" Alice and Marlene start asking at once while Lily calms them down.
People look at Alice and Marlene in amusement as they both blush.
"Her name is Aletheia Vulpecula Potter-Black. Yes, she is completely healthy and I think she looks like a perfect mixture of Sirius, James and myself. Now, Marls, will you become Thea's godmother?"
"M-me?" Marlene looks at her in surprise.
"Yes, Marls. You. You are my childhood friend and one of Lily's best friends. There's no one I'd trust more to be my daughter's godmother. Do you accept?" James was the one to speak.
Marlene gently takes Thea from Nik, rocking her. "I, Marlene McKinnon, accept Aletheia Vulpecula Potter-Black as my goddaughter and declare her my heiress unless I have a child. I swear to love and protect her with my life. As I say, so mote it be."
Marlene nodded in agreement with what she vowed and turned to Lily, "Thank you so much for giving me the oppurtunity to be Aletheia's godmother." Marlene was beaming.
"You are my best friend, my sister, of course I would make you the godmother." Lily said, hugging her best friend.
A glow surrounds them both and Marlene smiles brightly.
"Anyway, Lily, James, Siri, Nik, meet our son, Neville Frank Longbottom." Alice says happily.
"Lily, will you be the godmother?" Frank asks.
"Of course." Lily takes Neville in her arms as she speaks her vow.
"I, Lily Potter, accept Neville Frank Longbottom as my godson and promise to fulfill my duties as his godmother. As I say, so mote it be."
Alice and Frank smiled at Lily as she smiled back. Neville sent a nod to his future godmother as well.
The pair was also blessed by Mother Magic.
Nik is shown slowly sneaking behind Marlene,
"What are you doing?" Stefan asked. Nik shrugged and pointed to the screen.
taking his goddaughter from her as she glares at him.
"Oh"
"You git! Give me my Thea back." Marlene snarls.
The present Marlene glares at Niklaus as well making him smirk.
"No I will not." Nik scowls. "She is my goddaughter."
"She is my goddaughter as well, you twat."
"Do I look like I care?"
"No, but you do look like an arse."
Kol burst out laughing at that. Elijah and Finn hid their smiles.
"Yes, tell him Marlene." Rebekah laughed.
"Don't worry, I will, Rebekah." Marlene smirked.
"Why you..."
The rest of them watch Marlene and Niklaus in amusement.
No one notices the door opening again as Regulus Black enters.
"Ooh, uncle Reggie is here." Evan teased his best friend as Barty and Rabastan joined him in teasing Regulus, who ignored them and sent a small glance at his brother who returned it with his own.
He looks at the scene in shock before smirking. He takes Aletheia right from Nik's hands as both Nik and Marlene turn to him and shout in unison before glaring at each other again. "Give her back."
"No, I don't think I will. She is my niece after all." Regulus smirks at the pair.
Regulus sends both Marlene and Niklaus a gloating look while they glare at him in unison.
"You came." Sirius states with a blank face.
"Indeed." Regulus has the same look as he replies with a nod. "I was quite surprised to recieve an owl from you, you know. And even more surprised to learn that I was going to be an Uncle. Though I do appreciate that you chose to involve me in her life, especially after that."
"That does not matter to anyone here." Sirius lets out a small smile at his brother. "You know Reggie, I am very proud of you and I missed my baby brother."
Regulus smiles as well, though it is barely noticeable. "Me too Siri, me too."
Regulus hands Aletheia to Nik as Sirius embraces his brother tightly. Everyone in the room smile.
The Black Brothers are finally reunited.
Sirius and Regulus stare at each other before each nods at the other with a small smile.
"Shall we go back home?" Lily asks, feeling tired.
"Of course." James helps her stand up as he apparates both of them.
Niklaus holds onto to Sirius, after checking to see Thea safe in his arms as Sirius apparates them to the Potter Manor. Others follow them.
The screen flashes black.
