"D. Odessa. It's time to wake up" I hear Han whisper
"God what time is it" I say
"Like. 12 pm" Han says smiling
"Oh. Shit." I say
I stand up and walk out of bed. I feel all my weight go to my leg that hit the wall and I groan in pain.
"Stay there let me get you some tylenol." Han says
A minute later he comes back with water and pain killer and hands it to me. I swish it down and grab a change of clothes from the closet.
I'm here so often at one point I just brought clothes over. I go in the bathroom and change. I brush my hair out, my teeth, and put in some new jewelry in my peircings.
I walk out of the Bathroom into the garage and grab a bottle of water. I go downstairs to see a Han working under a car. I put my foot on the thing hes laying on and drag it out from under the car.
"Well hi there" Han says
"Hello. So what are we doing today." I say
"Well I was thinking today we could go out to eat because it's already almost 1 pm. Then we need to pick Sean up from school. Hes gonna get me my money." Han says
"Sounds like a plan" I say
I reach my hand out and he grabs it to stand up. He grabs his keys to the Mazda and we leave off to the streets of Tokyo. We sit in comfortable silence with music on.
"The shipment is still not in Han. Is it gonna come in soon?" I ask
"You sound like Ta." He says looking at me
I remain focused on him and wait for his response to my question
"Yeah itll be here. Dont worry." Han says
"You're never late. What's going on?" I ask
"Dont worry about it D." Han says
Dont ask.
Dont Tell.
That's how it is in this buisness. But for me and Han its never been like that. If somthing is wrong or buisness deals are happening we always tell each other.
Once we start not telling each other stuff. That's when the friendship ends. Because that's where the trust ends.
We pull up to a cute restaurant and walk out. We sit at the bar area and order drinks.
Me and Han have a habit of eating out lunch together. We do almost every day. We sit there and talk and eat for a while before we realize what time it is.
"Schools almost out we gotta go." Han says
"Let's go then." I say
We get in the car and race down the street. The streets are pretty empty right now since most people are at school or at there job.
"Han dear. Most people are out of school but the cops still exist and I see them up there." I say
"Sorry Sorry." He says
"You know. For someone who loves the road as much as you do. You should race more." I say
"You know what I say about racing." Han says
"Yeah yeah I know." I say
We pull up to the school and park outside of the entrance. I think of how were going to pick up money. But this car is special.
"Hey Han." I say
He looks over at me
"There's going to be 3 of us in this car."
"Yeah? and" He says with question
"There's only 2 seats in the car. There's no back." I say
He smirks
"I know. I thought you could sit on the Texas boys lap." He says
I raise my eyebrows in shock.
"I'm kidding. You can sit on my lap. Just please don't move around to much." Han says
My eyes widen at his last sentence before he steps out of the car. "Just please don't move around to much" I can feel a small blush on my face. He doesn't want me to move around to much on his lap because he doesn't want to get a b0N3R. I smile and step out of the car.
I see him leaning against it waiting for Sean to walk out.
"What are you blushing about. You're smiling like an idoit." Han says
"Don't worry about it. You look creepy standing here at the entrance of a school waiting for a kid." I say
"Hes 18 ain't he?" Han says smiling
We see Sean come out and he sees Han and I. He walks up to the car.
"Look Ill get you you're money." Sean says
"You're acting like you have a choice. Get in." He says motioning to the car
Han opens the door and I sit on his lap. He wraps his arm around my waist and we drive off. I can see Sean looking at us in my peripheral.
"You got a question or sum?" I say to him
"Sorry. Are you guys dating or something?" The boy says
"Han wishes." I say with a chuckle
"Come on D you know I only date modles." Han says smirking
I laugh and adjust my position.
"Ok yes I kind of just insulted you. But could you not laugh with your body it kind of makes an up and down movement and try not to adjust your position please if you could." Han says up at me with an awkward smile.
"Sorry Angel." I say to him with a grin
We pull up to a spa and park in front of it.
"there's a guy in there with a paw." Han says looking at the spa
"A paw?" The kid says quizzingly
"Go get me my money." Han says
We wait a few minutes only to see Sean thrown out of the spa onto the sidewalk, by a large man with a bear tattoo.
The tatto ends with the bears paw on his back.
We both chuckle at this. The boy gets back up and goes in. He comes out a few minutes later with the money and crawls back in the car and gives the money to Han. He puts it in the glove compartment.
This means Sean is apart of buisness now. We all have a job to do. When we first met I delivered money for Han.
Now we do all buisness as partners.
"You're on pick up duty now. If I need you. You have to be there. I might call you once a month, or once an hour. You answer the phone every time. I don't care if you're sick as a dog, or in bed with Beyonce. I call, you show. Got it?" Han tells Sean
We drive off back to the garage and we approach an empty road.
Sean looks over at Han and he gives him the nod of approval. Sean flicks on the NOS can and we fly down the street. We pass a cop car on the way down and Sean cusses.
"Don't worry. Cop cars in Japan are only factory tuned. If you can do better then 180 they cant catch you. So they don't even try." I say
"You know. I think I might just like Tokyo." Sean says smiling
I chuckle
"Yeah it's pretty great." I say at him
We continue and pull up to the garage. As we walk in Sean sees the collection of cars and bikes we have. I look at him and his eyes are wide as he looks around.
I walk upstairs with Han and he meets with some girls who are here. I cant say I'm not jealous but this happens often. He gets with girls and I get with guys. I'm not his and hes not mine so we both cant say anything about it.
There's usually people here once it gets later in the day.
He pours the girls a few drinks as I stand over the balcony looking down with a beer in my hand.
"The red Evo's yours." Han says to Sean
I see him look up with surprise.
"Really?" Sean says with a smile
"You're representing us now. What you think. We gonna let you roll in a Hyundai." I say smiling.
Han chuckles at my statement. Reiko, Neela, and Twink, come to the garage and hang out.We all chill for a while before its about 6 pm. People are going in and out.
I'm pretty sure Hans playing poker with some girls. As it gets later party's will start soon just in the next building to the garage.
"Han!" I yell over at him
"Yes?!" He yells back
"I'm going home with Neela and Reiko before the party! Ill see you later." I yell over
"Alright be carful princess!" he yells back
We get in Neelas bright blue Mazda RX-8 and go to my apartment.
Me and the girls get ready for the party together.
I put on a black cocktail dress that goes above my knees and black heels. I do my makeup and hair in two French braids. I pair it with a black chocker and god damn am I beautiful.
We're all done after a while and decide it's time to leave. We head off to the party together and grab dinner before hand.
Once we pull up to the party we do a lap and mostly stick with each other. Han comes up behind me and grabs my waist.
"Hey gorgeous." He says to me
"Aww you think so." I say with doll eyes
"Shut up Odessa." He says as I laugh
"I made a deal with Sean. We have to teach him how to drift at the docks for a few weeks." He says
"You did what now." I say
"You heard me. Hes got potential. Not much. But its there." He says
"Fine. We start tomorrow yes?" I say
He nods and pats my hip.
"I'm gonna go talk with Takashi. Hes gonna pull up to the garage in a few. You need to come with." He says
I nod my head and tell the girls I have to go take care of some business and that Ill be back soon.
On the way out I see Sean and tell him that I'm leaving but to not talk with Neela, and that it will just get him more in trouble.
We walk into the garage and see Takashi pull up. He steps out of the car and we sit down at a table and talk about business. Han throws the money from earlier on the table and Takashi takes it and puts it in his pocket. We talk lightly until Sean comes up.
"I hope hes not racing." Takashi says
"Don't worry bout him. Don't even know why he here." I say to him
"So Han. Are you ready for your next shipment?" Takashi asks
"No. But I'm ready to take that 86 corolla off your hands." Hans says lightly
Takashi chuckles
"Ok. Put up the 72 skyline." He says
"Deal" They both smile and I laugh lightly
"So Han your shipment. Where's it at." Ta asks
"Don't you worry. Just sit here and look pretty and Ill get it in." Han says
Takashi nods.
We talk for a little while longer before he asks where Neela is. I say shes in the party and he asks me to go grab her.
I do what I am told even though I know shes scared of him.
He has connections that I don't want to be involved with.
I walk up to her and tap her. She turns around. I see her talking with Sean and I roll my eyes at him. "God can you follow simple instructions" I say to him.
"Takashi is in the back garage. He wants you." I say to her
She nods her head with slight worry and I take her back to him.
Me and Han are asked to leave and we do so. We don't know what happens because when we go back to the garage shes not there.
After a few hours of partying, we're all mostly in the garage with people everywhere. I'm sitting with Han and Suki when I see Sean walk in.
"Hey Texsas. What are you doing over here?" I ask
After me and Han look at him for a minute we realize he's standing there with a bag.
"Twinkie! Get this man a bunk" Han yells
We put in loads of sleeping areas in here. If someone needs a place to crash we got em.
"Welcome to the garage bro. What happend?" I ask
"Dad said no more racing" he says solomly
With a quick slap on the back
"don't worry man we got you" Sean becomes one of us
After a while the party is over and I'm sleeping in the bedroom at the garage with Han next to me per usual. The next morning I'm awoke by Han shaking me.
"D its time to get up. We have to go to the docs to train Sean."
