It had already been a few days since Camden's funeral. And I was back to my normal routine, with Emma now added to our family. My mom seemed alot calmer now, since she has more help around the house. Now that I started my job at Deaton's Clinic, I help around with the bills too.

I left school right after my last class on tuesday, and headed over to the Clinic.

"Deaton?" I walk into the empty waiting room, looking at nothing but a few chairs, some magazines, and the back room. I stop at the half way door, and unlock the handle. "Deaton?" The sound of dogs howling in the back make the room creepier. I walk around the room, looking at the surgical tools, the medicine, and even at the Spice cabinet that he took at Talia's the other day.

When the back door opens, I stand frozen. "Oh your here, I though you were going to stay for practice?" He came in with a black bag, sitting it on the counter. "No, Coach got sick this week." He opens the bag, taking out a stray dog. Sitting him on the metal table, I raise an eyebrow. "So you find stray dogs, and bring them in a bag? Shouldn't that be kidnapping?" He chuckles a little, grabbing the Propofol and injecting the dog.

"He's sick. It's cancer." The dogs eyes close, and his head relaxes on the table. "What are you going to do with him?" I knew that the Propofol wasn't a lethal injection for the dogs, he was planning something different. "I'm planning to take the cancer out myself..with your assistance." Barely my first day at work, and I'm already operating on a dog.

Deaton shaves off a section of the dogs upper shoulder with a razor, afterwards making an insition into the middle of the fresh skin. Blood drips on the left side, falling on the table. When he opens the insition sightly, the tumor is just a few centimeter away. He makes a few cuts around the tumor, then grabbing a tweezer like tool, and scooping it up. "Done." He drops that tool and the tumor on a bowl, "I'll examine this later tonight." He grabs a needle and thread, sewing back the open wound.

After he puts the dog in the back room, Deaton comes back into the room. "Why did you want me to work for you?" He leans against the counter, pulling his arms behind him. "Because you also need to know about this." He lifts his hand and points around the room. "About the different techniques when healing someone...it will come in handy when your pack is injured." I look up to the cabinet that held the spices he showed me before. "And those, will help against protecting yourself and your pack. Their used as a type of shield, I have one around the clinic." My eyebrows rise, "Why? This clinic seems harmless." He chuckles slightly, "Many supernatural people know about me, and know about my involvement with Talia. Seeing me as a healer, rather than an emessary."

"Well isn't that a good thing?" I look up from my hands, and furrow my eyes at Deaton. "Not when they can use me against Talia. The remedies in this room, could cure, or even bring back the dead if your experienced enough to do it. And in my case, I've had 28 years of experience. More than your average emessary."

"Working here isn't easy, especially when your also being hunted yourself. I'll understand if you choose to leave, but just understand that when you leave here, you are less protected than you are at home." I look at him for a while, before my eyes roam around the building.

When the sound of the front door ringing interrupts our conversation, we immediately walk out the room and to the front desk. "Hi, Welcome to the Clinic. How may we help you." I say, looking back at Deaton.

After work, I drove home, stopping by the pizza parlor. Emma was in the kitchen finding something to eat, and Scott was playing around with Stiles. "You're home..how was your first day?" She rips the piece of bread out of her mouth, when she turns back to me. "Fine, actually. I think I'm going to like working there." I set the boxes of pizza on the table, calling the boys to come and eat. "Thanks Savi!" They both yell coming in the kitchen, they each grab 2 slices. Then the rest of them are ours.

We sat in the living room for a while before my mom came back from work, "Hey mom, we saved you a box of pizza." She sets her keys down on the bowl. She stalks to the kitchen, then came into the room with 4 slices. "Woah..did you eat mom?" She shakes her head quickly, "No. Let me be." Continuing to stuff her face.

After dinner, I went upstairs and took a hot shower. Taking my time, I wash my face, flossing my teeth, and then brushing them afterwards.

I took a tank top, and some loose tights from my closet, and put them on. Putting my hair up in a high pony tail, I grab my laptop and sit on my bed for an hour.

The sound of a rock being thrown up at my window makes me jump, having me get up and go check. I open the window to see Derek standing below, "What are you doing?" He flashes his white smile, "Come with me..I want to show you something." He whispers. I look over my shoulder, "Wait." I mouth to him.

I grab my jacket, opening the door. I slowly walk down the back stairs and out the back door. I jog over to Derek, wraping my arms around his neck, and his arms around my waist. "Let's go." He grabs my hand and pulls me to the direction of the woods. We ran for what seemed like forever, but stopped near the cliff. He stands beside me watch in the view of thousands of lights flash, the signs on businesses shine, and the moon shine down. I feel him look at me, "You like it?" I nod my head in amazement. "Yeah..it's beautiful. How did you find this place?" Focusing back on the view, "I was running today and I found it, and then something made me think of you." I glance up at him.

He sat down at the very edge, having our legs dangle below us. He talked about how his day went, and practice. "Coach is making us go to a tournament for a few days next week. Meaning I won't be able to see you." I lean over, slightly pushing him to the side. "I'm not going to leave anywhere next week, I'll be here. Training, day and night. Work's going to keep me busy, and plus Scott." Wrapping his arm around my neck, he kisses my forehead. "It's just weird not being able to see you everyday, since I do see you every day when you come over."

"Yep, I'm surprised I haven't gotten bored of you." He squeezes his grip, choking me lightly. "Oww!" I yell. He messes with my hair before he plants a swift kiss on my lips.

After the little 'date', we walk back to my house holding hands along the way. "What are you doing tomorrow?" He asks, I stand in front of him. "Um, it depends. I have a recital this weekend at the River bend event center." He tightens his lips together, "Can I come and watch you? Both days?" I slowly smile at his nervousness, "Yeah, I'd like that."

We say goodbye to each other, before I go back up to my room. "How was it?" Emma sits at the top of the stairs, "God, how long have you been there?" Her eyes turn yellow before returning to a black color. "Not that long." I walk up the stairs, "We just went to hang out, that's all." She follows me down the hallway, "Does Laura know? About you two?" I turn back to her when I reach my room, "Why are you asking all these questions? Are you okay?" She nods fast, "No, she doesn't know yet. But I was planning to tell her tomorrow." Walking backwards and into her room, she tells me goodbye.

The next morning, Emma had left for tutoring, leaving me alone at home. I change into another outfit, a pair of jeans, and a plain white v-neck. I grab the last couple pieces of Pizza and head out the door.

I walk past my locker, and down to the locker room. Walking into some of the volleyball girls, I put my bag on the bench. "Hey, you're Derek's girl right?" A brunnete girl, named Gene, walks up behind me. "Who told you that?" She looks around at the other girls, scared at what my reaction will be. "Derek, told some of his friends." In the inside, I'm smiling. But then again, I wished he kept that between us, for a while. " Oh, Okay." I awkwardly leave my locker, and go to my first class of the day.

Walking to class, I noticed some people whispering as I passed them. Some of them even smiled and stared, which was oddly creepy. I walked in Sra. Hernandez's class just before the tardy bell rang. "Al fin del tiempo, Sra. McCall." She motions me to my seat and starts class. Derek was standing up and around until he passed by me, "Hey.." He whispers in my ear. Sitting down behind me, he plays with my hair. "Sr. Hale, Can you please read the next few paragraphs?" He stops, and looks down at the page, I feel his nervousness, tuning around and pointing to the place we last stopped at.

Some of the girls beside us and behind us, awe at me quitely. "They're so cute." Derek looks up at me when he hears them as well. We make eye contact for a second before I turn back. After he finishes the paragraphs, we listen to the teacher talk about Don Quijote. "King Arthur was a very famous person in our history, but know one really knows if he actually existed. Es us misterio." She smiles.

Derek taps my back, "You okay?" I look at the back of the person's neck in front of me, not saying anything to him. "Savi.." I lean forward on my desk, inches away from his hand. One of the girls beside me notices, and taps me on the shoulder. "I'd work it out with your boyfriend, if I were you.." She rolls her eyes at me, before looking back at Derek. I give her a stern look, then see Derek in the corner of my eye smile at her. Before he could tell me anything, the bell rang and I was the first one out of the classroom.

I walk passed the Library, the Nurses office, and even the English section. I run outside of the school and into the Aquatic Center.

I throw my stuff into my locker, and change my clothes. "You okay?" I jump at the sound of their voice. "Danielle. I didn't think you were in here, sorry I have a lot on my mind." She sits on the bleachers in front of me. "Wanna swim to get it past you." I nod, grabbing my swimming cap and my goggles.

We jump into the pool, floating for a while to get used to the really cold waters. And then start our laps.

I slow my pace down, making sure I don't stress out my muscles before I actually have practice.

After the 23rd lap, we hold ourselves on the edge of the pool, where the water passes into the column. "So, what actually made you come here, since every musician knows the Piano room is your haven." I catch up on my breath, "Not always. I came here long before the music room." I look above me before sitting up on the concrete floor. "Is it about Derek?" I give her a confused look. "How do you know?" She also picks herself up. "He pretty much told everybody about you guys, I thought you knew?" I shook my head slowly, "No, he didn't even mention it to me yesterday night." The door opens, and a few more students pass by us.

"Don't you like him?" She whispers. "I do, it's just...when I dated Camden, it was between us. I mean everyone knew we were together, but he didn't tell the whole school. And it kinda gives me anxiety that everyone is going to know when we break up, or if we fight. Like today! This one girl next to me in class, literally told me talk it out with him, rolling her eyes and then flirting with him in front of me. Every girl wants Derek, why did he pick me?" We sit there trying to think of an explanation. "Think about this, why did Camden pick you, when he could have had every other girl in this school. You're different, you don't talk like the rest of the girls. You keep to yourself, and that's what he liked. You were your own person. Hell! I'd date you if I was a guy." I chuckle at her.

I look at the pool, before looking up at Derek. He seemed to have been standing in the room for a while. "What are you doing here?" I say, and my heart stops. "I wanted to know if you were okay.." Danielle gets up from the ground, handing me my jacket and a towel. "Thanks." I mouth to her.

I walk over to Derek who meets me half way, "What's going on with you?" He grabs my arms, when I zip up my jacket. "Nothing, it was just the girl beside me." He clenches his jaw before, "Don't lie to me Savannah, I know you. What's really going on.." The look in his eyes gave the sense that he really wasn't going to like what I was going to say next. "You told everyone about us, I had to hear it from one of the volleyball girls that you told your friends, and then it went all around school by the time class started. That's why I acted like that. I'm not used to people knowing my business unless I tell them."

He wraps me up in a hug, "I didn't mean to put you in an uncomfortable spot, I just wanted to surprise you. I wanted to tell everyone that you were mine.." I breath out, feeling myself sink into his chest, "You don't have to, I'm already yours anyways. You can't get rid of me....literally you can't get rid of me, your mothers my mentor." He smiles down at me before he wraps me up in another hug.

After school, I had after school practice with the swim team. National's were the week of spring break and we were going to Florida.

I drove over to Talia's for a few hours. "Hey Laura." I give her a hug, "Long time no see...sis." I roll my eyes at her knowing what she meant, "My mom's in the kitchen with Deucalion." She grabs her camera and takes a look at the pictures.

"We're going to need a bigger pack for her then..a few teenagers won't protect her." Deucalion said, as I stood behind the doorway. I walk quietly to the middle of the kitchen, "So I'm going to have to look for more?" They turn around surprised to see me, "Savannah, how are you?" Talia said, "Good, a little shocked from today. But really good actually, until I heard the news." Deucalion hands me letters, upon letters, asking to be apart of my pack. "They're wanting to meet with you during the weekend in Portland. Do you think you could take some of your members?" I read them quickly, "Yeah. I think they would like it."

It was still pretty early in the afternoon, so Laura, Andrew, Derek, and I decided to head down the cliff, and roam around the river. Laura of course carrying her cannon, while Andrew and Derek jumped around everywhere.

You might be wondering if Andrew knows about Laura's family.

He does.

He actually wanted to be part of her pack after high school, once they left for college of course. They seemed to really love each other, by the way he held her hand, to they way he treated her. Always opening her doors, pulling out her chairs, and even going beyond any other boyfriend would do to their girlfriend. That was the relationship I wish I could have, and luckily I'm on my way there.

We reach down the river, flowing down the meter high waterfall, Derek starts to jump on one of the rocks. "C'mon.." He reaches his hand out, waiting me to to take his hand. Once I grab it, he carefully jumps on the others, making sure their not slippery for us to step on. "I don't think mom would ever bring us here? Would she Laura?" After we came across the river, she took a picture of the waterfall. "Savannah, can you play with the water for me? I want to take a picture."

I let go of Derek's hand, walking over to the river. The water was cold to the touch, but once you got used to it, you didn't really mind. She clicks her camera a few times before she finally satisfied. "Perfect. You're a natural Sav." She gives me a cheeky smile before going on towards the trail.

We each get a turn on posing for pictures. Some on the trees, rocks, hanging on trees. There was one specific one that I really loved.

I was walking ahead of Andrew and Laura, while Derek was making me laugh beside me. He told me how some of the guys, wanted to try playing soccer, and had fallen face first on the dirt when the ball had went under his foot and slipped. Derek's face was smiling at me, while a laughed my butt off, because of his story. Afterwards she had gotten one where he held my hand, and was looking at me while we walked.

Those were my favorite.

We finally had gotten to the place where Laura was begging us to go to.

The trees overlapped above us, their branches wrapped around each other like two twisting fingers. The leaves had fallen to the ground, just in time for fall. There was a large plot of land in which it covered it, green grass spread everywhere. We awe of the beauty, the way the sun shines through the tress and allowed us to see it. Laura, being Laura. She couldn't help but take the pictures of us, looking at this beautiful sight. Derek squeezed my hand, looking down at me, he kisses my forehead, and another picture is snapped.

"Laura?" Andrew said, with an annoyed voice. "Leave them alone." She let's out a sigh before going out and wondering.

Derek's arms wraps around my waist, "This is really amazing, especially with you." He leans his head on top of mine. We walk around the trees for a while.

"College?" He asks, "Don't really need college? I just want to play soccer, and piano for the rest of my life." We sit together, leaning on a large rock. Derek's legs are separate, so that I'm laying between him. His right arm holding my hand, while the other plays with my hair. "You?" Letting out a deep breath, he stops with my hair, bringing his hand together with my other hand. "Playing basketball. It's what I love, I just hope that my Senior year, some scouts will come and recruit me."

I look down at his fingers, "You're good Derek. They would be fools, not to pick the Captain of the team as one of there players."

"I don't know, I just want to play. I don't care about the team, or the place." We look at Laura and Andrew playing around, "How long do you think they're gonna last, before they get married." I asks Derek, who was probably thinking the same thing. "He asked my dad a few days ago, for her hand. And he said yes." I immediately turn back to Derek, slapping his chest. "Ow?" I sit there mouth open, "How come you did't tell me? She's my best friend, and you heard about it before? That kid should have asked me right after." He busts out laughing, "What so funny Derek?" He brings his hand to my face, "He was going to ask you today, but since Laura doesn't want to leave his sight. He can't seem too, but he said that both of you have a class together?"

"Yeah, English." I say, looking back at them.

"You okay?" He watches my facials, "Yeah, I just remember when Laura and I planned our weddings together. We fought over the cake, the center pieces, and even the place where we wanted it in..a church or not. We didn't talk for hours, because of the wedding dress that I wanted." He raises his eyebrows before, pulling me back into his chest. "I would have loved to seen your wedding dress not matter what it looked like."

"You're just saying that now, but once you see the picture I drew. It almost burned itself on fire." When he laughs, the vibrations send shivers down my spine.

"Can I ask you something?" I nod my head. "If we were to last by the end of high school. Would you move in with me?" I tilt my head at him, looking up at his chin. "Why would you ask that?" He licks his lips before answering, "Because the though of you traveling around the world doing what you love, makes me want you even more with me. Having us live together, will keep us together. So that way I don't have to drive all the way home, to remember you by the photos." Smiling at him, I lean up and kiss him. "I'd love that." I whisper, still close to his lips.

The sound of a camera clicking comes from nearby, "That is sooo cute! You two should be my models, my muses." Andrew runs behind her, "Sorry, I just couldn't catch up with her." He leans over with his hands on his knees, gasping for air. "Let me see the other pictures before we agree." Derek asks. He puts the camera in front of the both us, pressing the right button.

Pictures of Derek and I holding hands, glancing at each other, hugging, even kissing each other. "You have a really good eye for detail, and special moments sis." Before giving back her camera he stops, on one of the last pictures of us kissing. "I love that moment." He whispers in my ear.

"I do too." I whisper.
