"So, what's next?" Ruby inquired, looking up at the glowing ball of light that was View
View flew over to his collection, grabbing a specific tape before returning
"Next" the ball of light said "is a tale of Jaune as a member of the Grimm queens inner circle."
View dropped the tape and flew over to a wall, the very same one watts come through
"Where are you going?" Weiss asked "I thought we were watching the film?"
"We will" view said "but first, there is someone I need to add, as much as I don't want to."
A beam of light flew out of Views face and connected with the wall, revealing a bright wall of light.
From that light stepped a women, a women that caused quite the ruckus as soon as she entered.
The women was fairly tall, with long flowing white hair going down to her middle back area. Her skin was a sickly whitish/grey, and her eyes were a bright harsh red.
Salem, queen of the Grimm, had returned
Qrow quickly jumped up and grabbed a nearby empty bottle, breaking it on the side of his seat and holding it forward.
Salem only offered an amused smirk in return
Ozpin sat in his seat, his grip on his cane growing more and more hard.
Watts and cinder quickly fell to one knee, lowering there heads
"My queen!" Cinder greeted "You have returned to us!"
Salem regarded her follower for a few moments
"I have" she said "It is nice to be back, after I was so suddenly removed"
Her gaze turned to view, who was completely unaffected.
"Know your place" is all he said
The hunters and huntresses were all on edge at the sight, whether they knew what they were looking at or not.
"What are you?" Coco asked, a hand on her partner who was shaking
Salems attention turned to the students, who shivered under her glance
"I see Ozpin has not stopped recruiting the young into his war, never change my dear, never change"
She walked over to her subordinates who all moved slightly away from her as she took her seat

The land of darkness, not a pleasant place, something that was made very obvious from just the name alone.
It was the birthplace of the Grimm, where every Grimm was born, through a series of strange black puddles. From ursa to deathstalkers, every Grimm came from this place.
Blake's eyes widened slightly
"So that's how Grimm are born" she said "well born isn't the right word, but still"
"It's so, unnatural" Weiss said
"Well all things Grimm are unnatural, it's reasonable to think that their birth wouldn't be any different"Blake countered
Weiss nodded "I supposed that makes sense"
That fact alone made this place completely uninhabitable, yet not far from the puddles stood a castle.
It was a massive building, reaching far into the sky. It was made of a strange black stone, looking like a sort of obsidian, with black and red glass decorating it in random places.
This was castle everknight, home of Salem and her followers.
"I think that's the first time I'm unhappy to hear a pun" yang said, her eyes glued to the screen
Inside castle everknight sat Salems followers, each sitting around a table with the head seat empty.
At the farthest end sat Tyrian Callows, the mass murderer and fanatical follower of Salem.
He wore a large brown trench coat that hid his entire body, save for his chest which showed some white combat gear.
Tyrians eyes were rapidly going from corner to corner of the room, his hyper attitude barley subdued.
Summers eyes narrowed at the sight of Tyrian, she was well aware of the part he and his mentor played in the near death of the Grimm reaper.
"I'm not liking where this is going." Summer said warily
Watts rolled his eyes "does if hurt to see the murdered of someone you held in such high regard?" He said, trying to provoke summer
He was ignored
Next to him sat a large man, who more nothing save for a trench coat and light combat gear, along with brown combat pants.
This was Hazel Reinhardt
Ozpins eyes widened before he lowered his head at the sight. Hazel and his sister are some of his greatest failures, they were something he still felt guilt over
Salem smiled at the sight
"does it depress you ozpin?" She asked with fake sympathy "to see everyone you've failed in one room?"
On the other side of the table sat Watts, who was in his normal attire with a frown adorning his face.
Next to him sat a very, VERY defeated cinder.
Her normal Perfect features were burned and scared, with her left eye being completely bandaged over.
Her left arm was also changed, now just a stump.
Cinder was shocked at the sight of her future self, how had this happened?
"Impossible!" She stated, in very clear disbelief "How could I lose when I hold so much power?"
"Seems your not as invincible as you make yourself out to be." Ironwood stated, a smug smile adorning his face
"Still plenty powerful to end your existence General." Cinder spat as she subconsciously touched her left arm
Behind cinder stood Mercury and Emerald, the master assassin and thief respectively.
Emerald still wore the outfit she wore during the sack of beacon, with only some moderate meditations to the colors scheme.
Mercury looked the same as well, with him sporting black combat pants and a grey shirt with a brown vest over it.
"Great we got tweedle dee and tweedle dum, the gangs all here!" Qrow said sarcastically, shooting a glare over at mercury and emerald
Mercury glared right back
"Shut it you old drunk"
"Why don't you make me no legs?"
Next to the head of the table stood a figure, very different from the others.
He stood at an intimidating 6-6, with piercing golden eyes burning with power and rage.
He wore armor similar to a knights, but more evil and corrupted.
His Armor was a bright white, with some red markings on his chest plate and arms.
Where his face should be lay a large helmet with horns perturbing out of the sides, and a face made of those strange red markings.

This was the everknight, right hand man and personal knight of Salem.
"What the hell" sun said, cleary very disturbed "It looks like a human-Grimm!"
"It looks like her" velvet said, motioning to Salem
Who was sitting behind her
"Interesting" Salem mused, cleary pleased with the sight "My own knight, someone I saw fit to name after my castle. He must be very powerful."
Cinder was silently fuming, now she had another person to compete with for Salems favor!
Watts looked to be getting slightly impatient, shifting in his seat slightly
"Is Salem going to join us or-"
He was cut off by a booming voice speaking from the head of the table, the everknight turned his sights to Watts
"She approaches" he spoke in a booming voice, sending a slight shiver through Watts's spine
Just as the knight said, Salem came through the door beside her throne. She gracefully made her way over to the table, where he subordinates stood up quickly and bowed
"My lady" "mistress" "my goddess!" They all chorused out there own greetings as Salem took her seat, and they followed suit
Salem sat in her seat at the head of the table, and her followers all followed suit. The everknight however stayed standing,
"Cinder my dear" Salem began, casting her attention to the fall maiden "What did this to you?"
Cinder attempted to speak but stopped and held her throat in slight pain, and beckoned emerald to come closer.
The green mint-haired girl did as she was told, leaning in placing her ear near cinders mouth
Cinder was enraged at the sight of her in such a lowly state, whoever did this to her would pay!
"God dam" Roman quietly said to his partner "whoever did this to her must be someone wicked powerful, someone Id definitely not want to cross blades with."
Neo silently nodded
"She says" emerald began, as Salem put her full attention on her "that one of the hunted in training did this, someone named Ruby rose."
"WHAT!" Ruby yelled out, very confused "How did I do that! I would never!" She was very cleary horrifed at the thought of doing that to someone, no matter how evil.
"How did she...." Ozpin trailed off, eyes focused on ruby "unless..." he said, his eyes narrowing
"A huntsman in training?" Hazel said, arms crossed and eyes narrowed "how could someone so young beat one of us?"
"She has silver eyes" a new voice said, drawing attention to him
Mercury was starting right at Salem without a hint of fear and continued speaking "Some weird energy came out of her eyes and blasted cinder, I had to drag her out of there before we were captured"
Salems eyes widened a fraction "silver eyes you say?" She placed a hand on her chin "this complicates things"
"My eyes?" Ruby asked, confused "what do my eyes have to do with anything?"
Summer glanced at her husband for support, who too looked quite nervous
"Ruby-"
"I thought we eliminated all of them?" Hazel mussed "how could we have missed one?"
"The spawn of summer rose" the everknight bellowed, his voice echoing throughout the chamber "she had a daughter we did not know of. One Ozpin and his forces tried very hard to conceal from us."
"Eliminated?" Yang asked "why the hell did they eliminate people for an eye color?"
Blake's eyes narrowed and she turned to Summer, who was still looking very nervous
"You know something" she said accusingly, gathering everyone's attention towards the elder rose
"Well- I- we-"
"The silver eyed warriors were a group of people who could kill Grimm with a look, if the warrior was powerful enough they could even kill a dragon Grimm with just a glance. They are extremely dangerous to Salem, it makes sense that she would hunt and kill them" Raven said quickly, shooting a look at Ozpin
"Wait WHAT!" Nora exclaimed
"You knew and didn't tell me?" Ruby asked her mother, hurt that she would hide something from her
"Ruby you have to understand, it would have been too dangerou-"
"But your my family! You shouldn't lie to family!" Ruby yelled
"How is this possible?" Watts asked "how could they conceal a child with such strange eyes like silver ones from us? Surely a Grimm would have reported seeing one?"
"And Lionheart would have mentioned another silver eyed warrior, he would have known" Hazel added
"Lionheart? Oh you mother fucker!" Qrow yelled, very very pissed
"Unless no one knew" mercury said, gathering everyone's attention again
"Mercury!" Emerald hissed out, trying to get the others attention off him
"Ozpin would have thrusted the silver eyed warrior right into training then battle if he knew right?" Mercury asked rhetorically "from what cinder told me at least, those guys are wicked powerful."
"Get to the point boy" Hazel said
"So what if ozpin never knew? What if the family kept ruby rose a secret, because they knew Ozpin would want them to fight?"
Ozpin's eyes traveled over to Qrow, who looked slightly guilty.
"Oz listen-"
"I didn't know you thought so little of me Qrow"
"Its not like that, it's-" tai tried, but couldn't lie straight to ozpins face
"I have made more mistakes then anyone on remnant, but I would never send a child to suicide unless it was a last resort"
Hazel caught Ozpins eye
"'Never again" he finished
"It would make sense" watts nodded as he spoke "Ozpin would want to use a silver eyed warrior if he knew he had one, but if he didn't know, how could he use it?"
"There mystery solved!" Tyrian cheered "Now when do we go kill her?"
"Wait what!" Ruby cried out, terrified of the man in front of her
"No one's touching my sister!" Yang yelled, her eyes flashing a dangerous red
"Or our friend!" Pyhhra agreed, placing a hand on Ruby's shoulder
Ruby smiled brightly as her friends surrounded her
"Thanks guys."
"You will not be going anywhere Tyrian" Salem said, a slight smile on her face "I think the everknight should be Able to, rectify, his mistake."
The table looked towards the unmoving helmet of the everknight, who had yet to move throughout the meeting
"I shall not fail you my queen. Never again"
Images flashed by, so fast they are barely visible
A curled up blond boy, very scared of those around him

"Jaune.." Juniper gasped, her boy was in trouble!
"A burning arc"John says, as an overwhelming feeling of forbidding washes over him "What happened to us?"
"Hmm" she said pleased "you leave immediately"
"I wish to take two others with me, to even the odds in the very likely case that Ruby rose is not alone."
Salem nodded "Who would you like to take?"
The everknight moved for the first time in the meeting, his heavy armor creaking as he does. He points his finger towards Mercury, who looks slightly shocked
"Me?" Mercury asks "why me? Why not That big guy or emerald?"
"I have chosen you, my choice is final"
He then pointed his hand to a corner of the room "I wish to take her"
"Uh, there's-"
A shattering sound is heard as Neo reveals herself, wearing a tattered version of her old clothes with Romans boulder hat and cane resting on her arm
Roman smiled and hugged neo a bit closer
"I knew you loved me!"
Neo made no denial, just tried to get out of Roman's grip
"How the he-"
Tyrian quickly jumped from his seat and drew his arm blades, preparing to pounce on the newcomer who readied her parasol
"STOP" The everknight yelled, gathering everyone's attention and causing a fair share of flinches
"I knew she was here, I wish for her to be the third member of my party."
"Why?" Watts asked, very confused
"She has a personal stake in this, a Vendetta against Ruby rose. She will do nicely."
Neo smiled and gave the everknight a thumbs up, before her expression morphed into one of complete rage at the thought of Roman's killer
"I killed Roman?" Ruby asked "this movie keeps getting worse and worse!"
"Technically a gryphon did." View said "but you still weakened Romans aura enough for the gryphon to eat him."
"Is that all you require?" Salem asked her knight
"That is all" he responded
"Then you leave now."
A red light enveloped The everknight and his new squad and they vanished
"What was that?" Questioned Coco
"That is one of Salems, many, abilities. The ability to teleport people to places of high Grimm concentration. In this case, the middle of a forest." View said, ignoring the glare from Salem
"Do you have to divulge all my secrets?"
"If I wish to, I will"
The everknight and his squad were now walking through a forest, following a path of dead Grimm and destroyed trees
"How do you know where we are going?" Mercury asked "it seems like we are just walking in one direction and following some random clues."
"You should have more faith boy, when all else's fails faith is all we have." The everknight responded
"And what do you believe in?"
"I believe in the goddess we work under, I believe in Salem."
Watts scoffed "Great, another Tyrian."
As the group continued walking they came upon a large settlement, which seemed a bit too close to the destruction they were following to be a coincidence.
"They must have stopped here." The everknight reasoned "They may even still be here."
Mercury crouched down next to the ridge they were standing on, attempting to get a better look of the town
"It's quite a small settlement, maybe 3, no 4 guard towers and a moat for protection, that's all. Should be an easy raid."
"No." The everknight said, gathering both Mercury's and Neos shocked expressions.
Salem leaned forward with a intrigued expression on her face, why would her knight not just go and kill the villagers?
"What, why?" Mercury asked
The everknights helmet moved to look at Mercury, who was staring right back at the knight
"If we go in and mindlessly slaughter them we will achieve nothing. We must attempt to, reason, with them."
"Bu-"
"There will be no argument, you and Neo shall wait on the outskirts of the town. If I require your help, I shall tell you."
With that last statement the everknight walked into the town, trudging with confidence onto the bridge ignoring the wary looks of the guards
He walked through the small town, getting more than a few looks of fear as he did.
He stopped at the center of the town, standing next to a small statue of some long dead hero, and looked at the crowd that had gathered around him.
One man stepped forward, looking warily at the knight in front of him
The man wore a farmers outfit, and had long flowing red hair. He was clearly the leader, that much the everknight knew
"Who are you?" The man asked "are you a huntsman?"
The everknights ever preasent gaze moved to man, sending shivers down his spine
"There was a women here recently, she was in a group, I wish to know where she went."
The man shifted slightly on his feet " Your going to have to be more specific, a lot of people come through these parts."
"The Geist, how did you kill it?"
"Wait, there was a Geist?" Sun asked "did I miss something?"
"No, there wasn't a Geist that we saw." Goodwitch confirmed "Perhaps that was the destruction we saw earlier?"
The man began to sweat slightly "We had a team of Hunt-"
"Where did they go." The everknight interrupted
"I don't know, they didn't say."
"You lie" the everknight accused
"Listen buddy there was a team of huntsman here that killed a Geist and moved on, I don't know where they went, no scram!" The man said, trying to intimidate the knight, he failed
"Very well then"
In the blink of an eye the everknight had moved from his spot and returned with a small child in hand, said child was squirming and crying
"If you do not wish it divulge the information then I will have to kill each and every one of your villagers, until you tell me where Ruby rose went." The everknight threatened, keeping his helmets gaze on the leader
Salem grinned, there was the ruthlessness she expected from her followers
"Hmm" Ozpin said "he only resorted to violence as a last resort, perhaps there is some good in him."
"He's still threatening a child." Goodwitch reminded him
Ozpin just hummed again and continued watching
In a flash of red light the everknight now held a small sword, colored the same color as his armor.
"Well? Are you willing to sacrifice this child's life? Your faith in what you believe is right must be strong."
"How'd he do that?" Pyhrra asked
"Perhaps it's a semblance similar to the Slade Jaune we saw, summoning weapons from a sort of pocket dimension." Ren suggested
A women ran to the front of the crowd and tried to run towards the everknight, but she was held back by another man who followed her
"Please!" She pleaded "just tell it what it wants to know!!
"Fine I'll tell you!" The man relented, lowering his head slightly
The everknight released the child, who quickly ran back to his mother.
"There were four of them, they came in and took the job of killing the Geist and I payed them them the appropriate amount. They left after, and said something about mistral and something about kuroyuri. That's all I know!" The man exclaimed, clearly afraid of the thing in front of him
Ren stiffened and his jaw tightened at the name of his old home, this did not go unnoticed
"Your help is much appreciated. I will leave you and your village be, but know this."
The everknight moved again and stopped in front of the man
"If you attempt to warn the group, I will come back here and slaughter everyone. Every man, women, and child, everything you built will be reduced to ash. Am I understood?"
Coco shivered slightly "He makes those threats like they're nothing." She paused for a moment "but he definitely seems like he would make good on it."
"Such ruthlessness!" Salem said "I can see now why he is my Knight."
"But my queen" Cinder said "wouldn't Tyrian have been able to get to the girl faster?"
"Perhaps" Salem agreed "but sometimes sending a message is more powerful then getting the objective with speed. Besides, I have full faith in the Everknight."
The man nodded and the everknight turned away and walked out. His armor clinking and cape flowing as he did.
He walked out to his group, who were standing on the ridge still.
"Well did you get the info?" Mercury asked, clearly impatient
"You should have more faith boy, I secured our knowledge." The everknight said "we are going to the nuckleaves home."
"What's a nuckleave?" Ruby asked
"An abomination" Ren said, with rare venom in his voice "A amalgamation of a horse and an imp Grimm. It uses the weapons of dead huntsman and kills everything it finds." He finished angrily, his teeth and fist clenched
"Ren?" Nora asked softly "are you alright?"
"I'm fine" He snapped back, ignoring the looks of shock coming from everyone around him
"Kid" Qrow said "how do you know this much about the nuckleave?"
"None of your business."
"A nuckleave?" Mercury asked
"Yes, an amalgamation of a imp and horse Grimm. Quite formidable, but not when taken on in a group."
"How do we get there?" Mercury inquired "not like we can just tele-" Mercury stopped mid sentence and face palmed "I'm a fucking idiot."
"Yes you are" emerald agreed
Neo was silently giggling behind the everknight, ignoring Mercury's glare.
"The queen shall provide."
A red hue enveloped them, and they dispersed, leaving the town and forest.
"They're teleporting to the nuckleave?" Yang asked
"It would make sense, they'll probably join in the battle between the nuckleave and whoever's with Ruby." Blake said "the odds will not be in their favor."
The group appeared in a dark, destroyed town. Immediately they heard sounds of battle and yells of anger and anguish
"Well, we're here, let's help that nuckleave end this." Mercury said, preparing to go join the nuckleave
"No"
"WHAT?" Salem yelled, outraged
"What?" Mercury said, turning to look at the everknight to see if he's joking

"We will not interfere, we shall simply observe."
"Your fucking kidding me!" Mercury yelled out, trying to get into the everknights face
"I'm not boy, I never joke."
"This is fucking bullshit! We are supposed to get that fucking rose girl and give her to Salem! Now you want to sit by and watch?!" Mercury yelled again, completely outraged
"We will watch until the nuckleave either defeats or is defeated. It is pointless to join it in battle, there is no honor in that." The everknight countered
"We still haven't seen Jaune." Nora said "where is he?"
"He's most likely the everknight" winter said "we usually see him near the beginning of these, there's no one else he could be."
"So then what happened to Jaune?" Pyhrra asked
The everknight and Neo moved to a nearby destroyed rooftop, overlooking the current battlefield. Mercury huffed in anger but gave up and joined them
There was a group of five fighting the nuckleave, and the Grimm was definitely struggling.
There was a Girl with pink clothes and light armor and light orange hair. She was currently propelling herself around the nuckleave with her grenade launcher-hammer combo
There was a boy with disheveled pink and black hair, wearing some light green robes. He was dancing around the giant Grimm with his twin SMGs
There was a older man with a bit of grey and black hair, he wore a grey torn up outfit with a torn red and black cloak. The everknight recognized him as Qrow Brawen, Ozpins spymaster
"Spymaster?" Qrow said "I like the sound of that"
The next was their target, Ruby rose. She was flying around the beast leaving a trail of rose pedals behind her, interestingly though she had yet to use her silver eyes. True it would have done little to a Grimm such as the nuckleave, but it still would have been a great help. Perhaps she still didn't know the truth about her power?
Finally, there was a blond women, wearing bright white armor and wielding a sword that glowed like a star. The arc symbol sat proudly on her chestplate.
Joan Arc, the last of the Arcs
"The last...." Saphron said, a feeling of great dread washing over her "then that means.."
"We're gone" John finished, a grimace on his face
"The nuckleave is nearly finished" the everknight stated "it is remarkable that they are able to deal this much damage to a creature such as this."
"I'm sensing a but here" mercury added
"They shall do no more"
The everknight jumped from the rooftop, landing on the ground with a huge THUMP And gathering the attention of all participants of the battle below
The humans all looked warily at the thing that had just entered the battle. It was easily 6-5, towering over even the tallest of the group. It looked like a Grimm in human form, with its skin looking akin to a knights armor
Then the nuckleave did something none of them expected, it ran towards the newcomer
The nuckleave fell to its horse knees and bowed both its heads, letting out small sounds that sounded akin to whimpers
The nuckleave was begging
"Dear oum" Opzin said "for such a creature as a nuckleave to beg this everknight, how much control does he have over the Grimm?"
Salem began to cackle in her seat, she was enjoying this far too much
The everknight said nothing, only pointing it the forest, and keeping his gaze on his target
The nuckleave got the message and ran away, wailing in pain as it did
"Ruby rose" the everknight bellowed, his voice echoing off the walls of the destroyed frontier "I have come to take you to my goddess, come peacefully and you shall not only save your friends lives, but me a lot of time."
"Who the hell are you?" Joan yelled out, "and she's not going anywhere!"
"I am the everknight" he said "and she does not have a choice, my goddess requests her and it is my duty to deliver."
Qrow shivered slightly at the name "Your the everknight." He said, gathering the knights attention "A Grimm in human form, that's what Oz called you."
"I do not care what the traitor calls me." The everknight responded "I am here for the silver eyed one, and her alone."
"He also called you the death of silver." Qrow added "I'm not letting you take another rose. Or another silver eyed warrior."
"Another rose?" Summer said "so that means...." Summer said, her expression becoming horrified
"We don't know that Summer, don't freak out yet." Qrow said
"You cannot stop me, the queen has commanded me to take the girl and I shall."
Qrow and the others quickly got into a fighting stance
"Then your gonna have to kill every last one of us." Qrow said, a determined look adorning his face
"I don't enjoy slaughter, but at the goddesses command, i must kill you all."
He then raised his hand as it began to glow a bright red, and a giant sword colored the same as his armor appeared
It was a great sword, easily the size of Ren, and far wider then any of them. The everknight rested it on his shoulder
"Now-"
He slammed the sword on the ground, causing some dust to fly up
"Let's begin"
At the word a blur of pink flew by and knocked Ren away, the blur then landed on the side of the group
The blur was Neo
"You again?" Ruby asked while glaring at neo, the glare was returned
A shot rang out and took down Nora, sending her flying down next to Ren who helped her back up.
"Hey!" Nora yelled "that's rude!"
Mercury landed on the other side of the group, a smirk on his face and one of his legs raised
"Mercury!" Joan yelled out, remembering the merc from the festival
"This is your last warning Ruby rose, surrender now or I shall kill ever last one of you."
Qrow stepped in front of his niece
"She's not going anywhere!"
"Very well."
With that the everknights form blurred and he sped over to Qrow, sending a wave of death in the form of his great sword
"He's surprisingly fast with a blade of that size" Raven commented, then face palmed as her brother grinned at her
"You know rave-"
"Shut up"
"I have that problem too-"
"Shut up!"
"But it's not my scythe that's heavy-"
"SHUT UP!"
"My third leg is just sooo heavy-"
He was cut off by his sister punching him in the face, with a satisfied smirk on her face
Qrow barely had time to jump over it, and ruby sped away from it quickly with her semblance
The everknight quickly engaged Qrow, while mercury took on ruby and Joan while neo took on Nora and Ren.
The everknight dragged his sword along as he approached Qrow, who quickly changed his sword into its scythe mode and twirled it as his side
"Your not touching her!"
Qrow shot his elf at the everknight who raised his large sword to block the strike, then countered quickly with a swift strike of his own.
Qrow used the shaft of his scythe to redirect the blade to just past him, and seezed the opportunity to slice the everknight with his scythes blade
The everknight tanked the blow, with a slight glow of White coming off him as he did, and backhanded Qrow away from him.
Qrow was sent flying through the ruined settlement, he slammed his scythe into the ground and slowed himself
The dark hunters red eyed glared at the emotionless helmet of the everknight, and Qrow grinned as he looked at the broken building
Qrow glared with all his might, praying to everything above that it would work
And it did
The buildings support groaned and it fell, right on top of the everknight
"How?" Weiss asked "Is his semblance telekinesis?"
"It's bad luck" Qrow said "Usually doesn't on command, but guess this time was different."
Qrow grinned in scarification as the everknight was crushed, or so he thought
As Qrow turned around, the building groaned again as it was lifted back into the air
Qrow turned around, eyes round with horror, as the everknight lifted the destroyed building off him
"Fuck" was all Qrow said
"Bullshit" Qrow said simply
Watts was fascinated "Is it the armor that is so strong to the man in it?"
"Foolish plan Brawen, I expected more from you."
Then he grunted and hurled the buildings remains, as Qrow turned heel and ran
He could not outrun the storm
The debris hit Qrow hard, sending him to the ground and burying him in it.
The everknight stood and glanced over at Qrow Brawens new grave, or what he hoped it would be
"Rest in peace spymaster."
"No...." Ruby said, anguish clear in her voice "he's gone, just like that."
"I don't believe Qrow could be taken out that easily" ozpin commented "he has a knack for getting out of situations like this
Mercury grinned as Joan ran towards him, swinging her sword down in a arc attempting to remove the head from the merc
Mercury blocked with his leg, and kicked Joan in the chest with his other. She was sent tumbling backwards
Mercury jump kicked her again, which was blocked by Joan's shield, the kick was followed by another then another as Joan's shield held strong
Mercury pushed off the shield and kicked quickly to the side to block an incoming strike from ruby, who's scythe was now being held back by mercury leg
Mercury fired his gunboot, making ruby dodge backwards only to be hit by another shot
Mercury then began to shoot his boots all around him, creating a whirlwind of bullets as he did
Mercury smirked as Joana and ruby looked terrified of the bullet swarm that not surrounded them
The mercury in the audience smirked as well, finally he was getting to show off his strengths
"That doesn't obey the laws of physics" Sun commented "like not at all"
"We are in a room with a immorat man who reincarnates, someone who can break the sound barrier in sneakers, and someone who can control metals with their minds." Neptune said
"Touché"
Mercury launched himself at Joan, who raised her shield and tanked the blow of Mercury's kick
Unfortunately the kick sent her into the storm of bullets, they tore her aura apart sending her to the ground.
Mercury grinned at the sight and turned around to a horrified ruby
"Don't you see?" He yelled over the noise of the bullets, which kept whirling around "You can't win!"
"Your wrong mercury!" Ruby yelled back "I am going to stop you, and cinder, and everyone else who wants to hurt my friends!"
"Hmph, whatever you say."
With that mercury launched himself again towards ruby, who swung her scythe to meet him
Neo danced around Ren and Nora, who were both throwing everything they had at the small assassin
Nora switched quickly between her hammer and grenade launcher, attempting to either explode or smash the small assassin
Neo stabbed at Nora causing her to go on the defensive, as she danced out of the way of Rens blades and kicked him out of the way
She then dashed towards Nora, faster then she could swing her hammer, and stabbed her in the hand
Nora cried out as her already damaged aura gave out and the small blade at the end of Neos parasol stabbed into her hand
"NORA!" Ren cried out in rage, as he opened fire on Neo using his SMGS
Neo shattered into glass, then quickly repaired behind Ren and kicked him
To the ground
Ren shot back up, kicking neo back and firing a few more shots with his smg
Then he heard a horrifying click
He was out of ammo
Neo grinned at Ren look, and quicker ena right at him, knocking him to the ground
The everknight walked over to the still fighting ruby and mercury, and he was quickly joined by Neo
Mercury knocked ruby towards the pair, and she crashed in front for them
"Ruby rose" the everknight said "You have lost."
"No!" Yang yelled out "don't you dare touch my sister!"
Summer lowered her head in grief, where was she? Was she so pathetic that she couldn't even protect her own daughter?
"Your Allies are defeated, Your spirts are broken, no one is coming to save you." The everknight said "You are all alone, and now you belong to my queen."
The everknight reached down to grab ruby, but a voice yelled out to him causing him to look away for a second
"GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"
A yellow blur hit the everknight, sending him flying away, and landing in another destroyed building
The everknight quickly recovered, looking to see what had hit him
Standing there was a man about 6-2, with bright blond hair and a scowl adorning his face
Tai xiao-long had entered the battle
"Yeah!" Ruby cheered "go dad!"
"Kick his ass dad!" Yang added
Mercury and Neo were promptly sent flying by two more figures, as they decended from a bullhead that had just arrived
Glynda Goodwitch and Peter port both brandished their weapons, as they regarded the now downed villains
The students in the audience cheered
"Here comes the Calvary!" Coco yelled
Goodwitch just smirked
"No" ruby said, as she was helped up by Goodwitch "I think you've lost."
Ren and Nora stood up, their low aura allowing them to at least stand with the group
Joan jumped up, having recovered from the bullet storm thanks to her large aura pool
Qrow launched himself out of the pile of debris, and landed with a smirk next to the group
"No one is coming to save you." Ruby added "that's what you said isn't it? Well look now!"
The everknight stood, his form unwavering showing no fear to the newcomers
"I will not be deterred" he said "the queen has commanded ruby rose to be given to her, and I shall deliver her."
The everknight was suddenly hit hard by gunfire from the bullhead, sending him back to the ground
But he got back up
"Such loyalty!" Salem praised "others would have fled by now, but here he stands!"
The everknight stood again, his mask now sporting cracks
"I will not fail, never again."
The bullhead shot him again, and back to the ground
But he got right back up, but he reached and tore off his own helmet, revealing his face to the world
Blond hair, dulled blue eyes, and multiple scars Marred his face, but one thing was certain to the group
They were staring at an Arc
Many in the audience lowered their heads, their fears confirmed
"I was really hoping it wasn't him." Pyyhra said
"What...." Tai said with wide eyes "it can't be!"
"Jaune?" Joan asked, a terrified look on her face "Your alive? And the everknight?"
The newly named Jaune locked eyes with his sister "I have always been alive" he said "and I am the everknight."
"Why" his sister asked "why would you do this? To me, to the memory of our family?"
"You truly are foolish Joan, I am honoring our family by serving the cause they served."
"What?"
"What the hell does that mean!" Juniper asked
"Our family served Salem, and now I serve Salem, the Arcs have been and will continue to be servants of the queen."
"That's impossible!" John exclaimed "We've always been huntsman, as far back as you can trace!"
"It seems things are once again different in this universe." Ozpin said, still shaken by the Arcs betrayal
"Bu-but our family was killed by Grimm!"
"Due to our failure, we were meant to kill summer rose and her family, we only killed summer rose. The queen punished the family, and took me as her knight." Jaune responded,
Ruby quickly ran over to her mom and engulfed her in a hug, as if she was afraid she was going to disappear. She was joined by Yang, Tai and Qrow
Jaune hands flashed a red light as he donned a new helmet, covering this face with the visage of the everknight once again
"Get up" he ordered his comrades, who were still on the ground
"What's the point?" Mercury asked, as he struggled to his feet "we are outnumbered and low on aura, we need to retreat."
"We are not outnumbered"
"What?"
With a roar, the trees and ground shook causing the group to look around in concern
And from the tree line, walked out the nuckleave, who roared once again
It ran out of the treeline, followed by a horde of Grimm coming to the everknights aid
The heroes in the audience shuddered a the roar of the nuckleave, it was something of nightmares
Salem just laughed
The Grimm surged into the destroyed town, swarming the huntsman who were unprepared for such an attack
"Now" the everknight commanded "get the girl."
The three sped to the group, but were quickly
Met by resistance
The everknight backhanded Joan, who had attempted to stop the everknight
Mercury launched himself over to ruby, who he kicked while she was facing the approaching Grimm, successfully knocking her out
"Ruby!" Tai yelled out
Unfortunately he would not reach his daughter, as the nuckleave quickly engaged him in combat
The everknight cut a stone that was sent at him in half, as mercury picked up ruby and they made their escape
The everknight, Neo, and mercury all stood a bit away from the group as they were slowly engulfed by the Grimm horde
"Give her back you bastard!" Qrow yelled, as he fought off an Ursa Major
"I'm sorry spymaster" the everknight said, as a red hue began to engulf him and his party
"It seems I shall take another Rose."
And they were gone
