I opened the door of Enzo's cabin and peeked in.
"May I come in, sir?"
I spoke in a soft voice.
"Yeah?"
He was focused on some papers as i slowly stepped in. I placed the files on table and then glanced at him.
He sighed with a satisfied smile and kept away all his papers, cleaning his table.
Then he noticed me.
"Hey, you leaving now?"
He questioned.
"Yes i am."
I walked towards his table helping him to arrange stuff. I help him this way very often.
As i finished keeping away stuff and turned around to walk away my face came in contact with something hard.
"Oww.. i am sorry-"
As i backed away to look at the person, it was Enzo standing with a nervous face.
"Elle, i need to talk about something."
"Sure go ahead.."
He pressed his lips together before speaking.
"It's about, um me acting rude towards you.."
This caught my attention. Honestly speaking, i know Enzo wouldn't be so arrogant towards me without any reason.
I am sure he had a reason. Thats why i don't feel mad at him.
"Go ahead."
I said and leaned against the table behind me.
""I want you to tell me something first.. be honest."
I nodded.
"What do you think about Eric?What type of person do you think he is?"
"Hmm? He is kind and helpful.. funny too... He is good guy.. why do you ask though?"
I frowned, confused by his questions.
"What?! Really?"
"Hmm! He is like a brother to me.. Man, sometimes I wish I had a older brother like him.."
I spoke with a pout. It's true, Eric is so caring about people close to him.
"I- So you don't like him?"
"Ofcourse I do. I like him."
I answered casually. Ofcourse I like him, why wouldn't i?
"Like him? I mean romantically.."
My eyes widened.
"What the hell... No! Not that way! I can't even imagine myself being his girlfriend..."
How could he say that! Eric is my bro ugh! Enzo is acting so stupid.
"Why though?"
"You expect me to date someone who is like my brother? I mean, this has to be a joke right?"
He gulped.
"So you don't love him romantically?"
"Nah. Now can you tell me the actual thing?"
I asked him. I was growing impatient.
"I will, but before that, i feel so..."
He trailed off and wrapping his arms around me, catching me off guard.
Can this guy give me a warning atleast?!
"You okay?"
"Yes, i am, i am kind of..."
He just mumbled something, i couldnt understand what he was saying.
I slowly but shyly put my around his neck returning the hug.
"Let me drop you home, and I'll tell you each and everything."
He whispered.
"My god.. Enzo.. are you sick?"
We both pulled away as i cupped his cheek.
I stared at him, noticing his sharp features.
Have i forgot to mention how handsome he looked?
I felt butterflies in my tummy as my thumb caressed his cheek bones.
I can't believe i am looking right into his eyes.
I wish I could spend a bit more time with him, i really love him.
"Elle?"
"Oh.. yeah?"
I pulled away my hand, leaning back.
"I know I'm handsome."
He spoke with a smug smile.
I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Enzo stop the car!"
"Oh okay?"
He pulled over near Eric's tattoo shop.
"Eric is here. I'll go get him."
I said Enzo followed me in.
"Eric!"
I walked towards him.
"Hey Elle.."
I stopped in front of him.
"Let's go hom-"
"I need to talk."
He spoke seriously. What's with men wanting to talk with me?
"Sure."
"I wanted to tell you this from a very long time. I won't delay anymore."
"Okay.."
"Elle, i love you.."
My cheeks heat up as he said that.
He loves me?
"I genuinely care for you."
He spoke with so tenderly, anyone would fall for him.
"Eric.."
"You don't have to answer back. It's okay if you don't love me back Elle. But i really needed this to get off my chest."
He said as he smiled.
I really feel bad cause i don't feel about him the same way.
"Eric I-i..this was unexpected..I'm sorry I..don't feel that way towards you.."
I nervously bit my lip.
"I know.. i just want you to know that... You were the first person to steal my heart."
"I'm sorry Eric.."
I was kind worried. I thought Eric would be mad.
"You don't have to be Elle..i hope this doesn't ruin our friendship."
"No it won't."
He smiled and held my hand.
"I'm glad you.. you talked to me Eric and like a matured person you accepted my decision.."
He laughed and squeezed my hand.
"Anything for you Elle."
He whispered.
"L-lets go home?"
I asked him.
"Oh, you go ahead, i have something to take care of."
"What?"
"Some of my friends promised to meet me here. You may go ahead."
He ruffled my hairs.
I was still shocked at how easily Eric accepted my rejection. Now this is what we call a real man.
He deserves someone better.
I can't believe there's someone who used to admire me so much from afar.
But I think I can relate to Eric a lot.
Eric likes me but i don't like him back. In the same way, i like Enzo but i don't think he likes me back.
I am sure i am going to be in Eric's position pretty soon.
It's karma.
"Alright."
"H-hey Enzo! You have been standing there the whole time?!"
Eric almost yelled in panick making me flinch.
"Yeah.. good job Eric. You have my respect."
"It's all thanks to you En."

"So.. i knew about Eric having feelings for you.."
"Oh.."
"I thought i would help him a little.. i could see how much he love you.."
"Mm yeah.. and?"
He proceeded.
"Thought maybe, I would distance myself from you for a while so you would start spending time with him."
"You gotta be the most-stupid person ever."
I mumbled.
"Huh?"
"What made you think i would- fall for him hm?"
"I know that was a dick move. I am very sorry Elle."
Looks like he understood his mistake pretty early.
Bold of him to think that way.
Wait! Does he know i am in love with him?!
"It's okay Enzo. I forgive you. I knew you wouldn't act that way purposely."
"Oh..thank you Elle."
He said throwing an arm around my shoulder.
I was surprised.
"Elle, are you okay with me telling you about anything?"
"Sure Enzo~"
I sang.
"Hmm I like being in your presence."
"I like it too."
I answered a bit shyly.
We stopped in front of my apartment.
I looked at him.
"Uh.."
He rubbed his neck and smiled as if he was upto something.
This guy always confuses me!
He cupped my cheek and leaned closer.
Is he going to kiss me?
"Why do you let your gaurd down in front of me? What if I'm dangerous?"
"Because I trust you."
Thats all I could say. Considering the close proximity i wasn't even able to move.
"I'll make sure i don't break your trust then."
He whispered seriously as he looked right into my eyes.
My heart fluttered.
And then he placed his lips on my forehead pulling away quickly.
We both stared at each other for a while and bursted into a laughter.
I don't know why we were laughing though.
"Drive safely."
I spoke before he turned around to leave.
