When we walked out to the little space by the steps we saw the granger girl peaking out and going done the stairs her dress was ok but if the cut and color was different it would be better in my opinion
"You ready to outshine her with our dresses?" Pansy said
"Mhm" I said kinda nervously
We both walked out onto the stair and everyone stoped looking at granger and started to look at us including the potter boy for some reason
"Wow you look- hot" Theo says causing me to giggle
I chose this dress:
And I was wearing a necklace my mother gave to me
"Cmon let's go dance" Pansy says to Blaise
"Alright" he says letting her pull him to the dance floor where a bunch of people were slow dancing
"Ok so I know that we're here together but that really hot blonde is eyeballing me so would you mind if I just went over to her" Theo says rubbing the back of his neck
"Of course you do whatever you want" I say smiling "have fun, but not to much fun" I add
"I make no promises" he says walking to the girl
"Welp, I guess I'm alone" I say sitting on one of the steps and looking down at my shoes
About a minute later I heard "now what's a princess doing here all alone during the Yule ball?"
"Oh hey Matteo" I say smiling and looking up
"Oh and her face is even prettier when you can see all of it" he says sitting down next to me
"Thank you" I say smiling looking to my side where he was sitting
"So why are you here on your own?" Matteo asked me
"Tom and Draco are who knows where, Theo is snogging that blonde girl over there and Pansy is dancing with Blaise so I'm just here" I say
"Alright well.."He gets up and puts his hand out for me to take "shall we?" He says
"We shall" I say smiling and taking his hand
People were still slow dancing so he took me to them
He put one of his arms around my waist and interlocked our fingers in the other and I put my free hand on his shoulder and we began dancing to the music
"This is nice" I say smiling
"I'm glad" he says smiling back at me and pulling me a little closer
"So do you have a date?" I ask
"Yes but she's buissy.." he says
"Doing?" I ask
"Theo" he says chuckling making me giggle
"Well at least you chose a pretty one" I say still smiling
"Yes well I wanted to chose the prettiest but she was already taken" he says smirking
"Oh yeah and who is that?" I ask smirking back
"Pansy" he says smiling
"Seriously?" I say rolling my eyes
"No." He says twirling me around "I wanted to go with you princess"
"Stop calling me that" I say smiling "your blowing our cover" I whisper still smiling
"My bad darling" he says smirking
I roll my eyes and we continue dancing just looking at each other and smiling
After a few minutes the music started to speed up and we stopped dancing
"I'm gonna go get a drink, you want?" Matteo says over the music
"Depends what it is" I say
"Well I got my hands on some fire whisky if that helps" he says
"It does" I say smiling
"alright I'll get it" he says walking away
I was walking back to the stairs because the music was getting to loud when I bumped into someone
(C- dea- I mean Cedric Y- y/n M- Matteo
Y- Oh whoops sorry my bad
I say about to walk away
Y- Oh hey Ced, sorry I couldn't come with you tonight
C- it's alright, so how are you enjoying the party?
Y- it's ok I guess but it's loud
C- yeah definitely loud
Y- mhm
...
Y- well I'm just gonn-
C- hey do you just want to get out of here?
He putts his hand on my shoulder
Y- oh ced I-
M- there a problem love?
Matteo comes back with two cups putting his arm around me brushing Cedrics hand off and handing me the cup
Y- well I-
C- nope not a problem, right y/n?
He says looking at Matteo
Y- well actually I-
M- good let's go then darling
He says still looking at Cedric
Y- I- um ok
Me and Matteo speed walked out to right outside the great hall
"You sure your alright love?" He said sounding a bit concerned
"Mhm thanks for saving me tho" I say looking up at the handsome boy towering over me
"Of course princess" he says taking a sip of his drink
"I told you not to- you know what? Never mind" I say sitting down
He just smiled and sat down next to me and we talked and drank for a few more hours
