Sparks of gold emerge in the middle of the room, forming a portal.
Peter lands in the middle of the room with the box in one of his hands.
"I'm sorry sir. But I have to try"
He must have been talking to Doctor strange.
Wait did he beat him?
And I lost and he won.
I feel injustice in this.
The portal closes and I glance at MJ and Ned before we run to Peter.
"Dude I just fought with Doctor strange and I totally won."
"What!?!"
"I would have won, but he kinda cheated"
Peter looks at me confused
"You fought Doctor strange? Why?"
"To give you time, them two were like sitting ducks, but I went all Kung fu on his ass"
"Well more like you got your ass handed to you"
I narrow my eyes at Ned.
"Look, and I stole his ring thing"
Peter holds up Doctor Strange's ring that he uses to open the portals.
Ned instantly snatches it out of peter's hand.
Ned examines it, trying to put it on his fingers.
"Uh, I was swinging through the city and then I went through this...(agh)"
Peter pulls off his mask.
"Massive middle thing. And then I was back in the..."
"Where is he? Where is he?"
MJ walks towards Peter, gaining his attention.
"Uh, he's trapped but I don't know for how long"
"You could have just left us to die. Why didn't you?"
We all look at Doctor Octavius.
"Because that's not who he is"
Peter smiles at MJ.
A look I know too well.
"I think I can help you guys"
Peter starts to walk towards the bad guys held behind their forcefields in the crypt.
We follow behind him.
"If I can fix what happened to you. When you go back things will be different. And you might not die fighting Spider-Man."
Max looks at Peter confused.
"What you mean fix us?"
Osbourne takes a step closer to his forcefield.
"You know, I am something of a scientist myself."
Osbourne turns to Doctor Octavius.
"Octavius knows what I can do"
"Fix? You mean like a dog? I refuse."
Max turns from Octavius to Peter.
Wondering if to trust him or not.
"I can't promise you guys anything. But at least this way you actually get to go home and have a chance. A second chance"
I take a step, stopping beside Peter.
"Yeah everyone deserves a second chance to redeem themselves. Even those who people feel don't deserve it"
"What makes you so sure of that?"
Connors narrows his eyes at me.
"Because my dad told me something. That I am just now realising what he actually means."
"And what's that Miss Stacy?"
"Everyone truly is not what they appear to be"
Peter turns from me to Connors.
"come on, isn't that worth trying?"
Trust me Peter, when you try to fix people there are always consequences."
"You don't have to come, I also didn't know you could talk"
Connors shrugs his shoulders.
Well reptilian shoulders.
"Neither did I. But I am actually not entirely surprised. I've seen weirder"
"If you stay here. You'll have to deal with the wizard"
"So we go home or die. Not much of a choice is it?"
"I just want to go home"
"Well, I myself don't want to be killed. Especially by a guy dressed like dungeons and dragons so...what's your plan?"
Peter glanced from Max to the rest of the villains, as he walks backwards towards MJ snd Ned.
"I have it all under control"
Yeah that is code for I don't know what the freaking plan is.
I follow Peter as we form a group huddle with MJ and Ned.
"What are we going to do with this thing?"
Peter motions to the box.
"Um... well we need to find somewhere safe for it right?"
"Yes."
"Yeah sure"
"You gotta take it"
Peter ushers it towards MJ.
"Wait what?"
"If something bad happens. I'll text you, and you can push this and then it's all over. Everyone will be gone so..."
"Parker we're going with you. I'm not going to leave you"
"You can't come with me. It's too dangerous. You guys have already done enough."
"Peter, we're in this together."
"I know we're in this together. Ned, I can't do this if I know that you're in danger. So for me, MJ please just take this"
Peter and MJ stare at one another.
Both pleading with the other.
"Please"
"Fine"
MJ reluctantly takes it.
"Thank you"
"But Peter, I swear if I don't hear from you. I'm pressing the button."
"Sure"
"Okay"
MJ turns to the villains.
"And I will do it!"
"We all believe you Michelle"
"No way that's his girlfriend. No way"
Connors shakes his head at Peter and MJ.
"She'll do it"
"Absolutely. She will."
Peter turns to Ned as they do their handshake.
Which I actually know too.
I was actually the one who taught those boys it.
But everyone thinks it's just between them.
"Okay. See you later"
"Be safe."

As they pull their hands away the rings on Ned's fingers let off a golden spark .
Both boys look at each other in amazement.
"Woah"
Peter turns to me.
"Stay safe. Keep the box hidden. Okay?"
Peter starts to do my handshake with me.
I just automatically do it.
I know for a fact that this boy can't be serious.
Doing this alone?
With them.
They can flip a switch any moment.
"Okay"
Ned starts to walk off as Peter turns back to MJ.
MJ pecks Peters lips.
"Be careful, okay?"
"Yeah. You too"
MJ gives me a look nodding her head to the door.
"Gwen"
"No."
Peter looks at me confused.
"I'm coming with you"
"Gwen. You're not coming with me"
"I am"
"Did you hear what I just said to Ned and MJ. It's too dangerous."
"I'm coming with you. I've seen the machine and I know how to manufacture the equipment"
"Gwen."
"No"
"I'm coming with you. You know that you need me."
"All I need is for you to be safe. All of you"
Peter turns to MJ then Ned.
"What about you? You are going to be alone with them"
I motion to the villains.
"I can't have you getting hurt. Or put in danger because of me. Gwen I can't. What if something happens"
"It's my choice Peter. Mine. Not yours."
"Why can't you just listen to me for once?"
"Peter—"
"Come on. Peters right. It's too dangerous Gwen. We will be safer elsewhere."
"MJ, Peter, I admire how you guys care for one another. Able to compromise in this difficult situation. But unlike you guys I need to do something. I can't sit back and watch. I don't have someone. You guys have each other."
"You have us Gwen. You have Ned. Your parents."
"Yes I do but I don't have someone who loves me like you guys love each other"
My mind goes to other Peter.
I try to shrug it off.
Has to be my mind playing tricks on me.
That guy is just confiding in me as I look like his girlfriend.
Once he gets back he'll have her.
I'm just a distraction, to fill in for now while he is here.

MJ then turns to me hugging me.
"I thought you said you weren't a fan of saving his ass"
"Eh. People change"
"People change or some people make you want to change?"
I roll my eyes knowing exactly who she is hinting at.
"Be careful. Look after each other"
"Always. I'll keep him safe for you"
I motion to Peter.
MJ nods as she smiles at Peter one last time before running off after Ned.
"So, who is going to come with me?"
