after mine and peters day, he walked me home (after changing back to normal clothes in a public bathroom)
i unlocked the door and expected to be greeted by jules, but the lights were turned off.
me and peter had been gone for 5 hours, it certainly doesn't take that long to do grocery shopping
"jules?? aunt jules??" i called out
there was no reply
"what could possibly be taking her this long to come back?"
"something isn't right.." peter looked towards the door.
he had told me about his spidey sense earlier that day, so i guessed it was his sense that was bugging him
"peter? what is it?"
"i have to go" he said as he went behind the living room door and got changed
then he shut the door behind him as he left.
this wasn't good
20 minutes later peter came back and as soon as i opened the door he shut it and grabbed me by the waist
we swung through the city, and i noticed he had tears in his eyes
"peter?? what's wrong?"
"jules.." he stuttered, "she's injured"
"what?! how?!" i was panicking, i couldn't loose her.
"she got into a car crash, she's badly hurt olivia"
"hurry up." i ordered, as tears flooded my eyes. i wanted to see her as soon as possible
when we got to the hospital i barged straight through to the reception as peter quickly changed behind a bush
"where is she?" i questioned, but the receptionist looked at me confused. then, peter caught up with me
"ma'am calm down and tell us who you'd like to see."
"jules madden." i demanded
"she's in room 408 but im afraid we aren't accepting visitors for mrs madden right now, you'll have to wait."
i stepped away from the counter, in disbelief
"im going in" i said to peter.
"olivia i don't think-" but it was too late.
i had already pushed open the doors that led to the hospital rooms.
i walked as quickly as possible, as the woman called out for me to stop. but nothing was stopping me.
"olivia!!"
"peter." i stopped and turned around, which made him stop "if you don't want to be involved, leave. but i really don't care what people are telling me to do, im seeing jules. you don't understand, i can't loose her. i can't" and i continued walking
he tried to catch me up, "i'm coming with you"
"good"
when we got to room 408 i opened the door and saw jules led on the hospital bed. oh my god. i stopped dead in my tracks
her face was all bloody, and she had a black eye. her eyes were closed, and she also had 5 massive cuts along her face.
i felt sick
"miss! you can't be here right now." the nurse told me
i just stood there, blinking back the tears.
peter clutched onto my hand, and he spoke up
"she's her niece, and the only family she has left"
"well.. in that case.. 5 minutes. that's all you're allowed."
"thank you" peter smiled
i dropped peters hand and just walked toward her, in utter disbelief.
i held her hand
"im here jules, i'm here" i quietly sobbed
i just sat there for the 5 minutes, and when the time was up peter grabbed my hand. we thanked the nurse as we left
"are you ok?"
"i'm fine" i said as tears ran down my face
"olivia she'll be fine"
"then why isn't she awake?"
"she's probably just unconscious that's all"
"right"
that night, me and peter sat in the waiting room all night, until finally a nurse came in to tell us she was awake
i gasped, and looked at peter
"see?" he grinned
i practically ran to her room, although the signs around the building said "no running" i really couldn't care less.
"jules!!" i exclaimed
"olivia!!" she smiled
"oh i was so worried!" i hugged her "are you okay?!"
"i'll be okay" she chuckled
"i'm so sorry" i looked up at her
"for what?"
"i should've checked up on you"
"no no honey, don't blame yourself. please."
i hugged her once more.
"hi jules" peter smiled
"hello peter" she smiled back
jules had to stay at the hospital for the night, before she could come home. but me and peter went home, although it was now 1am.
peter knocked on the door, only to be greeted by a stressed looking may
"where have you been?!" she screamed "you said 6pm?!!!"
"i'm so sorry aunt may, jules got into a car accident and we went to the hospital and i forgot to call you and oh my god i'm so sorry for keeping you up"
"a car crash?!??! is she okay?!?!"
"she's fine now," i said, "but she got injured badly."
"you're damn right you should've called." she said, angry
"im so so sorry may. but i was wondering if olivia could stay round tonight? i don't want her being in the house by herself"
"ok." she still looked mad and upset
"thank you may, and im so sorry"
when i walked in, miles and jonas were both there, in their pyjamas, also looking stressed.
they obviously heard our conversation with may and looked upset, about my aunt.
"is jules okay?" they both asked
"she's better now" i smiled
"good" miles said
me and peter went upstairs and brushed our teeth
"thank you." i looked at him, and smiled genuinely
"for what?" he looked back and smiled
"everything."
"come here" he pulled me closer and hugged me "i'll always be there for you"
