Rosemary's hands were shaking as she walked closer to Theo and his friends. Trying to hide it, she gripped her tray tighter, but it caused it to bend slightly, making her stop immediately. The vampire didn't have the time to hide it as she was near to the table. Jessica nudged Theo, making the human noticed of the new girl.

"You came," The young blond man spoke breathlessly, standing up abruptly. Jessica and Lauren exchanged a look, noticing how their friend reacted to Rosemary. Taking notice of his friends staring at him expectantly, he pulled her chair for her and invited her silently to sit down. "Rosemary, these are my friends, Jessica," The brown-haired girl smiled a little, looking at the new girl with attention, looking like she was analyzing her. "Lauren," The blonde girl nodded once, keeping on her always cold face. "Eric," The dark-haired young man smiled brightly. "Mike," The athlete didn't react, only staring at Rosemary in awe of seeing her from up close. "Tyler," He winked, eating his fries at the same time. "and Angela," The girl wearing glasses smiled shyly, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"Nice to meet you all," Rosemary smiled, thanking Theo for her chair before sitting down. "You can call me Rose," She glanced at everyone, but mainly at her mate so he knew it was addressed to him principally.

"So, Rose," Jessica emphasized her nickname, "Do you like Forks yet?"

"Oh, I do, landscapes are gorgeous and people are... welcoming," Rosemary hesitated with the last part, as she noticed how much people were staring at her in shock because she wasn't with her family. Students had already noticed how the Cullens were keeping to themselves, no one had tried to speak with other people except Rosemary.

"Don't worry, people will stop looking in a few weeks," Angela was quick to reassure her. "It's just, new faces are rare here and now, six new students just arrived."

"Speaking of this, as we don't get new people often, would you and your siblings willing to feature in one of my articles for the newspaper?" Eric didn't waste time asking what he had in mind since the past day.

"Oh, I'm sorry, but we really don't like being in the spotlight..." She tried to explain gently, but she was rewarded by Eric's pouting face.

"It can be just a small article, I promise, I won't write much," He tried to convince her before Theo intervened.

"Eric, she doesn't want to," The young blond man defended Rosemary, making the Asian young man sulk in his seat. Jessica and Lauren exchanged another look, now with a small smirk resting on their lips. Everyone started eating, even Rosemary, as they made a small talk. She was taking slow bites of her salad, hiding her disgusted face as what she felt like dirt entered her mouth. One of Theo's friends wasn't talking much and when the vampire raised her head to glance around, she noticed it was Mike. He was busier looking at her than eating his lunch. Soon enough, Rosemary grew uncomfortable under his stare and squirmed in her seat. Theodore took notice of it.

"Rosemary," He got her attention, whispering. "You're okay?" He asked, pressing a comforting hand on the young woman's arm, not being able to keep himself from it. The vampire didn't answer, not wanting to throw Theo's friend under the bus, instead she stole a look at the athlete again. Rosemary thought she had done it imperceptibly, but quickly concluded that she didn't.

Theo had scooted his chair closer to hers the next second and wrapped an arm around the back of her seat. The vampire could feel his warm arm brushing against her back and looked down in shyness, a small smile blossoming on her lips.

With the screeching noise Theo's move made, Mike had gotten out of his dreamy state. He searched for the source and when he saw Theodore's frowning face in his direction, he blushed a little and put his attention on his food.

As she took another bite of her salad, Rosemary couldn't hide her disgusted face. She had only took a few bite and she could already feel the dirt taste resting in the back of her throat. As much as she liked this moment, she couldn't wait to go to the bathroom and throw up, as she couldn't digest it.

"You don't like your salad?" Tyler wondered, slightly worried as he looked at her face.

"It doesn't top the one my mother do, but it's okay. It's just that Emmett promised me 20 dollars if I put too much pepper in it," A booming laugh could be heard at the other side of the cafeteria, causing the small group to glance in that direction. Rosemary stuck her tongue out when she met Emmett's eyes. In reality, he was laughing at her poor excuse. But the humans seemed to believe it, so it was what mattered at the end. A comfortable silence followed, but Jessica quickly filled it.

"Speaking of your brothers, I can't help but notice how Edward is the only single one..." She trailed out, trying to act nonchalantly. Rosemary almost choke with a piece of salad when she heard the sudden question, but nodded nonetheless. "Do you think... would he be interested in me?" Jessica hopefully asked, looking at the new girl through her lashes.

"Oh..." Another booming laugh was heard as Emmett clasped Edward's back, but Rosemary paid him no mind. "Well... Edward is very um, picky? with his partners. He must have a deep connection before taking it further, so I believe if he found the right person, he would go all in. Maybe that person is here, who knows," Rosemary tried to build an answer without saying yes or no to Jessica. The girl still looked hopeful as she looked over at the bronze-haired vampire.

For the rest of the lunchtime, Rosemary, Theo and his friends made a small talk, getting to know each other. The vampire hadn't thought she would get along with them that much, even Mike. The group's conversation came naturally and Rosemary was now perfectly at ease with them. The presence of her mate was a big part of it. His arm stayed around the back of her chair for the rest of the hour. He even played with the end of her hair as Rosemary leaned towards him a little, both acting unconsciously. It didn't stop Jessica and Lauren from exchanging more and more excited looks as they noticed their friend and his obvious crush.

Five minutes before the bell rung, Rosemary got up and started gathering her things.

"I have to go, but I really liked spending time with you guys. Hopefully we can do it again soon," She smiled and looked at her mate, hoping she hadn't crossed boundaries, but he nodded eagerly with the tips of his ears turning in a soft pink.

"Of course, you're always welcomed here," Angela beamed at Rosemary. After saying a last goodbye, the dark-haired young woman took her tray and walked away, Theodore following her.

"Thank you for coming, I hope my friends weren't too intrusive," Theo chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Don't worry, your friends were great," Rosemary smiled reassuringly at her mate, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear after she put her tray away. "I have to go, but I hope we can spend time together another time?" She stated, ending like a question.

"I would really like that, Rosemary" Theodore whispered, staring into those gorgeous golden eyes, which were paler than he remembered.

"I thought I had told you to call me Rose?" The dark-haired girl teased her mate a little, bouncing on her feet imperceptibly in happiness.

"Your name is too pretty to be shortened," Theo murmured, not really registering what he said. As soon as he said that, Rosemary's eyes seemed to glow in happiness and the young blond man had to look away before he would be stuck in that beautiful vision.

The young blond man looked after the young woman as she walked away, waving when she threw him a last loving look before leaving the cafeteria. Glancing around in curiosity, Theo's eyes stopped at Rosemary's tray, resting on top of others. The corners were slightly bended, as if she had done it with her hands effortlessly. Frowning a little, he joined his friends again, who were picking up their stuff and throwing teasing glances at him.

While Rosemary and Theo were talking just before the girl left the cafeteria, the small human group were looking at them and their adorable interaction.

"Can I be the first one to say 'I want them together'?" Lauren spoke, emotionlessly as usual, but with a small smirk resting on her lips. Jessica glared at the side of her face and nudged her ribs.

"I wanted to say it first," She whined, earning a laugh from Angela and Eric.

"Have you seen the way they looked at each other?" Tyler leaned on his hands, looking at Theo and Rosemary as they parted ways.

"I felt like I was intruding something," Eric chuckled a little.

"So you're saying I don't stand a chance," Mike grumbled, looking at his blond friend in envy as he walked towards them.

"Sorry to say this, Mike, but no, you don't, you really don't," Even Tyler, who was attracted to the girl at the beginning, knew he couldn't compete. He patted Mike's shoulder, swinging his bag over his shoulder and leading his friend away. Mike had to admit it, Rosemary and Theo seemed to be perfect together. They were lucky to have found each other.

Theo and Angela were hanging out in the young man's room, doing homework teachers had already gave. He was laying on his bed while his best friend was sitting on the ground. They were not really concentrated anymore, instead they looked around the boy's room.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Angela turned around, facing her best friend.

"What do you think?" Theo whispered, a small smile on his lips as he thought of the gorgeous goddess.

"Well, I believe it has something to do with the girl who joined us today?" Angela cocked one of her eyebrows. It wasn't really a question as she was certain it was about the dark-haired girl.

"Yeah," He breathed out, turning around so he was laying on his stomach instead of his back. "Isn't she incredible?" He murmured, looking at Angela without seeing at her, his mind too busy with Rosemary.

"She is," Angela agreed with a smile as she witnessed her friend crushing hard on a girl for the first time. "I'm surprised though, I thought she was going to be more silent, her family doesn't seem like the type of people to open up easily," Theo shrugged.

"I really like her, Ange," He spoke breathlessly. "I know it seems absurd, but I have this, connection with her. I can't explain it. Everything about her is drawing me in and I want to be a part of her life and I want her to a part of mine," He explained slowly. "I know it is stupid after two days of knowing her..." Angela stopped him.

"It's not weird at all. We have seen the way you guys interact... It seems natural, like you have known each other since forever. You seem to, I don't know, gravitate towards each other," Angela frowned as she tried to explain what she witnessed during lunchtime.

"Gravitate?" Theo raised an eyebrow with a small mocking smile, almost like he didn't believe it.

"Yes, gravitate. You put your arm around her chair!" Angela explained, raising on her knees, exasperated that he didn't notice it.

"Mike was staring at her, I tried to reassure her! I think she doesn't like being stare at, the art teacher did the same thing and I created a diversion," The blond young man recalled from the past day.

"You haven't told me that," Angela scolded her friend, slapping his arm. "But that teacher is creepy, not very surprising that she felt uncomfortable. But have you noticed that you played with her hair for the rest of the time!" She laughed at the shocked look on Theo's face.

"No, don't tell me I have done that," He whined, looking highly embarrassed as he hid his face with his hands, but Angela had already seen his blushing cheeks.

"You're blushing," Angela trailed out, laughing and trying to pry Theo's hands away from his face.

"Stop it," He joined her laugh, sitting up.

"And everyone noticed how Rosemary leaned into you a little," Theo's eyes widened.

"How come I haven't noticed?"

"I told you, everything seems simple and natural between you guys, neither of you is forcing anything," Theo blushed again, falling down on his back and staring at his ceiling with a shy smile. Both were in a peaceful silence for a few seconds until Angela broke it.

"To be honest, I thought you were gay," Theo let out a laugh, making the girl defend her opinion. "Do you remember Nathan?" Nathan was a guy that had grew up with them in Forks, until he left town during Seventh Grade. The more he grew up, the more that young man had beautiful and delicate features, and Theodore was attracted to them.

"That guy was gorgeous," Theo defended himself. "Everyone thought so, not just me," Angela sighed with a shake of her head, getting up to walk to her friend's desk. Looking through the pile of notebook, she took a dark red one, opening it and showing one of the drawings Theo did. It was Nathan. "You can't deny, he is gorgeous, his facial structure was so satisfying to draw," Angela looked at him with a straight face, before grabbing his more recent notebook and turning the pages until she saw Rosemary's face.

"Gorgeous you said?" Angela said, speaking of Nathan.

"Okay, maybe not that gorgeous," He mumbled. Rosemary was, after all, the most magnificent human being Theo had ever seen. His best friend laughed, closing the notebook and putting it away delicately, knowing how much that object count for him.

"You're so in love!" Angela laughed, slamming a pillow into Theo's face to take him out of his thoughtful state about the dark-haired beauty. They spent time together for another hour before the girl left to her house.

As much as he liked Rosemary for the small amount of time he had known her, he couldn't help but notice many weird things about her and the Cullens. The cold skin, the golden eyes that seemed to change colors, the attraction everyone seemed to feel towards the Cullens, the similarities between the siblings even if they weren't related, except Rosalie and Jasper as Theo had known that they were twins today. And the tray that Rosemary seemed to have bended with her fingers.

Theodore fell asleep with those thoughts, impatient to meet Rosemary again at school.
