- River's Pov -
I wake up to the smell of pancakes and i hear uncle Billy humming a tune as he rolls around the livingroom i roll over with a groan as my joints pop and crack. I open my eyes and look around but everything is blurry i start to feel around for my glasses but a hand stops me as i feel someone put my glasses on for me. I blink a couple times to clear the blurriness and when i can see properly again i see Billy infront of me in his wheelchair with a smile on his face i couldn't help but smile back at him seeing his smile always makes me smile.
"There you are honey, I took them off you last night so you didn't break them" He said softly
"Thank you uncle Billy" I said blushing slightly
"No problem" He said wheeling back next to the couch
"Where's JJ?" I asked looking around
"He had morning patrol" He said smirking at me
"Oh" I said upset that i didn't see him
"Honey why don't you go freshen up there are some clothes that you left here in Rachel's old bedroom breakfast will be done soon" He said as he wheeled his way over to the kitchen
I kiss his cheek then run to Rachel's old room i grab the clothes and rush to the ensuite to have a quick shower when i finished i dried myself then got dressed (Outfit above). Once i was done i ran back downstairs and sat back on the couch Billy wheels over and hands me a plate of pancakes we ate in nice silence. Just as we finished drinking our coffees there are howls coming from outside i knew what that ment it was some of the pack they obviously weren't in wolf form because those howls sounded horrible. Billy signaled for me to hide which i did behind the couch i know he wants me to be a surprise for Sam because me and Sam have been best friends for years i silently giggle when i hear Billy wheel over to the back door it's show time!.
After a couple minutes hear i him wheel back in with three sets of footsteps behind him i bite my inner cheek to stop myself from giggling i just want to jump out and surprise then now. I wait for the signal from Billy to make myself known while trying to stay as still as i can and try to match my heartbeat with Billy's so they don't hear me with their enhanced hearing. I am so excited to see Sam's reaction he is like a older protective brother to me so i know he is going to be very surprised to see me after so long.
"I have a surprise for you Sam" Billy said i could tell he was smirking
"What is it Billy" Sam asked confused
"Someone you have missed for a year, someone that saw you phase, someone important to you and the pack" He said i could tell he was still smirking
That was my signal so i stood up behind the couch which was behind Sam while coughing to get his attention which worked because his head snapped towards me and the boys with him doing the same. When he saw me he instantly grabbed me lifting me over the couch and crushing me into his chest squeezing the life out of me. Then he spins me around making me squeal after a couple more spins he puts me back down on my own two feet putting his hands on my shoulders holding me at arms length. I take this as a chance to get in as much air as i can before he or one of the other pack members squeezes the life out of me again.
"Riv?" He asks unsure if it's really me
"It's me Sammy i am back sorry for leaving but i am back now for good you and the pack need me so i am going to step up and be the protector that i am and be here for the pack" I said smiling at him while hoping he isn't mad at me for leaving
"No need to be sorry you're back now that is all that matters Riv it was Bella's fault she shouldn't have told you like that. I am glad you're back you just need the pack tattoo now and then you will be an official pack member" He said with a hundred watt smile on his face
"Who is it Sam don't hog her let us see" I hear someone whine like a child making me giggle
"You already know her" Sam snaps then moves out the way i see Paul Latohe and Embry Call stood there when they see me they stood frozen in shock.
"Hi guys i'm back" I said waving hello at them
"YOUR BACK!" Paul shouts making Sam growl and cover his ears
"I have another surprise i'm moving to la push my birth parents left me a cabin it's the one five minutes away from Emily's the one that we all thought was abandoned it's mine" I said jumping up and down clapping my hands in excitement
That's how i spent my morning catching up on everything and even told them about all the things i found out about my parent's which i asked them not tell anyone outside of the pack. It was great to see them all again but then they had to leave for a pack meeting i wanted to go with them but Sam told me to take a couple days off to get settled and who am i to go against the alpha. When they left i kissed Billy's cheek then left myself i had to get back to my cabin and make sure everything is okay and no-one broke in.
Just as i get back to my cabin and put my pitebike away i see a big black wolf run past at speed i know it was Sam so i instantly shout be safe. I know he is running around their territory to make sure everything is safe but i am and always will be worried that one of the pack will get hurt out there. I shake my head clearing those thoughts as i walk inside and go to my conservatory i rub my hands together time to liven it up with some flowers i might turn it into a calming space. I cleaned down the furniture then used my powers to grow a couple of flower's, small trees and put them into plant pots.
Once i finished i grab a book and sit down to read it didn't take me long to get lost in the book after a while but after a while i hear a distant howl i smile knowing the pack are doing what they are best at and that's protecting everyone in la push. I jump when i hear a howl in the tree line next to my cabin i look out of the conservatory window towards the trees and see a rustic brown coloured wolf it locks eyes with me and freezes. I hear my inner elemental scream mate the wolf just imprinted on me and he is my mate the wolf seems to snap out of it and it's ears going flat against it's head i could feel the wolf's anxiety from here.
"It's okay your my mate, come to me when your ready i'll be waiting, always" I said softly knowing he or she will hear me clear as day
The wolf nods it's big head then runs off i close my book and go get my phone then go back to the conservatory and dial uncle Billy's number. I need to tell him incase my mate suffers from being away from me for to long he answers on the second ring which makes me smile he always picks up when i ring no matter what.
"Hey honey" He said sounding his usual happy self
"Hey uncle Billy i need you to watch the pack untill Sam welcomes me in" I said worriedly
"Why what happened?" He asks his voice now matching my own worried tone
"One of them was at the tree line next to my cabin it made eye contact with me and imprinted on me while my inner elemental screamed mate. The wolf seem to be in shock so i told them to come to me when they are ready but i don't want them to suffer in pain from being away from me for to long" I said worriedly not liking the thought of my mate being in pain
"Do you know what the wolf looked like?" He asked curiously
"A rustic brown, very big too" I said with a smile i hear him gasp
"I know who it is, I will keep an eye on them for you" He said sounding happy
"Thank you uncle billy" I said happily knowing my mate will be watched to make sure they aren't in to much pain
"No problem i better go check on your mate" He said i could tell he was smirking
"Bye love you uncle Billy" I said feeling better that my mate will have someone watching them
"Bye honey love ya too" He said sounding more happier then he did earlier
I hang up feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now i know someone is keeping an eye on my mate. I have this feeling like uncle Billy knows my mate better then anyone which means my mate is close to him. I have a feeling about who it might be but i don't want to get my hopes up. I really want it to be who i think it might but because everything will make sense if it is. I shake my head and pick up my book and read alittle more soon enough i end up falling asleep.
- Jacob's Pov -
I run through the woods with one thing on my mind not caring that the pack will hear my thoughts because i have just imprinted on the one person i have always been in love with River Rose Swan. She even called me her mate which means our bond will be stronger everything just made perfect sense our bond was pushing us together even before we knew who we truly were. I just hope Sam doesn't hit the roof and beat me to a pulp because he seems to have a bond with her too. I am not mad at that because i know they have a brother and sister bond it makes me happy to know i won't be the only one to protect River.
"You are damn right i have a bond with her! Jacob Black your a dead boy walking! you imprinted on the girl i think of as a little sister!" Sam thought angrily
"Oh damn" Leah thought highly amused by the situation
"If Sam doesn't hit you i will" Paul thought while growing in his mind
"Go home your off patrol now" Sam thought mentally growling at me
"Okay see you guys tomorrow" I thought happily
I pushed their thoughts away and ran home as fast as i can wanting to tell dad everything. When i reached the tree line i phased back and slipped some joggers on that dad leaves out here for me. Then ran inside only to see dad sat in his wheelchair in the livingroom facing the door with a smirk on his face.
"So jacob you imprinted on your long time crush and your her mate" He said happily while smirking at me
"Yes bu- wait how did you know that" I asked shocked
"She rang me worried about the wolf that imprinted on her and asked me to keep an eye on the wolf worried it will suffer in pain from being away from her only for me to learn that wolf is you, my own son" He said crossing his arms looking serious
"Does she know it was me?!" I asked curiously and worried
"No son she doesn't all i said was i know who she was talking about after she told me the colour of your fur" He said smirking again
"What am i going to do dad" I asked unsure on what to do i love her but i don't know if she feels the same
"You are going to have a shower and go to sleep then you are going go over to her cabin tomorrow and tell he. She needs to know you are her mate which means the bond is going to get stronger to the point you two don't want to be away from each other. Then you are going to love that angel with all your heart and make her happy son she is special and deserves to be happy" He said going back to be serious
"Right got it shower, sleep and go see my RiRi tomorrow" I said smiling
"That's right" He said smiling
"Thanks dad" I said honestly
"No need to thank me Jacob i am your dad i am here to help you always" He said with a bigger smile on his face
I hug him then go round the house making sure all the windows are shut and lock the back and front door. Then i do what dad said and have a shower after my shower i lay in bed with my eyes closed. I think about my beautiful imprint i can't believe that she is actually mine. i fall asleep with one thing on my mind i will ask River to be mine forever.
