Espresso walked down the alleyway.
Tonight, he was going to meet somecookie for an exchange in goods.
The place was clean. There weren't any trashcans or dumpsters in sight.
The cookie was waiting there.
He had long red hair and a cake arm.
"Finally, you have arrived." Red Velvet commented.
"Don't act friendly. I only came for an exchange." Espresso growled.
"Of course, straight to the point." Red Velvet sighed.
"Yes." Espresso replied.
"The source of coffee magic you wanted from our land... will not be given." Red Velvet laughed.
"What do you mean...?" Espresso gasped.
"Cakes! Ambush!" Red Velvet commanded.
"WHAT DO YOU-" Espresso yelpedt as he saw a bunch of cakes swarm him.
Red Velvet laughed as he turned away.
He put up his hood and ran.
Espresso could feel the cakes scratching and biting at his body.
It didn't help that he was weak from having no coffee.
He tried using his magic, but the cakes kept on making it hard.
The cakes bit at his clothes and his skin.
It was hurting him.
He began to bleed.
Espresso pushed his face up quickly to avoid the cakes getting to his face.
His glasses slid on the ground.
The glass broke.
Now, it was going to even harder.
The bites were taking dough off of his body.
They just kept coming from almost nowhere.
Was this the end?
Suddenly, a light flashed from the cakes.
A bright figure was standing near the hoard.
It was Madeleine.
"The divine has called me to save you!" Madeleine smiled.
"Thank... god..." Espresso gasped weakly.
Madeleine slashed at the hoard of cakes.
They immediately ran off in all sorts of directions in fear.
The ones who were attacking Espresso left too.
Madeleine picked up his boyfriend.
"What happened to you?" Madeleine asked, brushing off the blood from his face.
"Just some deals gone wrong..." Espresso sighed, annoyed.
"Well!! I can't let you hurt yourself more! You're coming with me to my apparent!" Madeleine smirked pridefully.
"Ugh- no-" Espresso began, but Madeleine didn't listen.
He ran with Espresso to his apartment.
Espresso couldn't help but feel enjoyment for having such a boyfriend...
When they finally arrived, Madeleine placed Espresso down onto his couch.
He dashed to his closet and grabbed some of his spare clothes.
Espresso waited patiently while sitting there.
Madeleine's couch was surprisingly comfortable.
Madeleine returned with a blue shirt and some shorts. He gave them to Espresso and he walked to change in the bathroom.
The clothes were very baggy on his body.
He walked out of the bathroom.
Madeleine was preparing some medical supplies.
Espresso understood what he was trying to do, so he sat near him.
"Sooo... what were you doing in that alleyway?" Madeleine asked.
"I was trying to make a deal." Espresso explained.
Madeleine put some bandages on his wounds.
"On what?" Madeleine asked.
"Coffee." Espresso replied.
Madeleine laughed.
"Coffee? Really?"
"Yes. I need to work on my brew." Espresso said.
"Come on!! Take a break for once!" Madeleine scoffed.
"Madeleine, I must continue." Espresso said.
Espresso began to get up.
Madeleine hugged his chest from behind.
"Take a break, just for today!" Madeleine smiled.
"Finnneeee, I suppose..." Espresso sighed in defeat.
Madeleine smiled.
He looked at the time.
10:45
"Ah! Shouldn't you be sleeping by now?" Madeleine smirked.
"Well, I'm not." Espresso said.
"You will be soon." Madeleine smiled.
He held onto Espresso as he walked to his bed.
He put Espresso on it, and then himself.
Espresso, who was already feeling exhausted, quickly dozed off.
Madeleine made sure he was asleep before he allowed himself to sleep.
Madeleine's arms wrapped around Espresso's torso.
It was a nice night, even if Espresso almost died.
