Part36 The Letter
Deepak was furious. Khushi cheated on him, performing a drama cleverly. Not only that but also she acted as Arnav Singh Raizadas's wife. Now, she is going to marry him. She will become his wife permanently if she marries him. It should not happen. She has to pay for cheating him. It's not so hard at the same time, it's not easy as well because the matter is about Raizadas. They are Big-shots in society. Dealing with them directly is just like banging on a rock. The matter has to be dealt with carefully. Deepak decided what to do. Taking time, he wrote everything in detail, thinking twice. He didn't want to make mistake. He knew that may lead him into trouble.
The next day
Deepak came to RM. The security stopped him.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Khushi's friend. We brought up in the same HOME" he lied.
As he told it in detail, the security had no reason to stop him.
"Could you give this cover to someone in RM?"
"Someone? But why? Khushi madam is your friend then why do you want to give it to someone?"
"This is a thanks-telling letter. I want to thank them for accepting Khushi as their Bahu..."
"You can give it to them directly..." the security said.
"I don't want to disturb Khushi. She should be happy in her in-laws. I don't want to remind her from where she came"
The security nodded ok and took the letter from him. Deepak left the place not waiting there for even a second.
The security came to RM and find Anjali and Nani in the living room. He came to them and handed it to Anjali.
"Anjali Di, someone gave it to you"
"Someone? Who is that?"
"Khushiji's friend"
"That means, the letter is for Khushiji?"
"No no... he wanted to give it to someone other than Khushiji"
"Why?"
"He is thankful to you for accepting Khushiji as your Bahu"
Anjali wondered with a slight smile. Nani was also in the same condition.
"Ok, you can go," Anjali said.
"What letter is that, Anjali bitiya?" Nani asked.
Opening the cover, she started reading it. her facial expression changed from time to time while reading the content. Her eyes pooled up. She couldn't believe, it can even be possible.
Nani was scared to see her crying. What's there to cry? Didn't the security say it was a thanks-telling letter? Anjali sat with a thud. Nani snatched the letter and read it. Nani also became distraught.
"What's this Anjali?" her voice shivered.
Khushi and Lavanya stopped listening to them. They just came to the living room to have tea.
"I don't know Nani... I can't believe Chotte cheated on us... he lied to me..."
Khushi and Lavanya spared a glance.
"How could anyone act like his wife without getting married to him? I can't believe Khushi bitiya fooled us. The concern she showed on us is acting?" Nani said choking.
Khushi was horrified, hearing that. Lavanya dragged her behind a pillar and gestured her to be quiet.
"I don't know whom we can trust in this world, Nani... Khushiji is not Chotte's wife but she is staying with him in the same room... who is she? Why the hell is she doing this to us?"
"Lavanya, I'm scared... how will I face them? What will I do, Lavanya?" Khushi's eyes started flowing.
Lavanya dragged her towards her room.
"Khushi, don't come out of the room until I say. Lock the door and sleep... I mean, pretend like sleeping... go... please Khushi"
"What will you do?"
"Let ASR handle the problem... you just stay in the room" Lavanya closed the door and called not Arnav but Shyam. More than Arnav, Shyam is the right person to handle Raizada women now, Lavanya supposed.
Shyam attended the call.
"Bhai..."
Shyam sensed something wrong, hearing her panicky voice.
"What happened, Lavanya?"
"Bhai, Raizada women got to know the truth"
"Whaaaat? How?"
"Someone sent a letter about Khushi"
Shyam sighed. He made up himself.
"Call Sale Sahib and tell him the matter. He should not know you called me"
"Ok, Bhai"
Lavanya called Arnav whereas Shyam called Anjali while walking towards his car. Anjali attended the call.
"Shyamji..."
"Rani Sahiba, what happened? Why are you crying?" he asked as if he knew nothing.
"Shyamji, I don't know what to say" Anjali sniffed.
"Rani Sahiba, make yourself and tell me the matter... please don't make me nervous"
"I got a letter from someone"
"Letter? What letter?"
"The security gave it to me. He said someone gave it and it was a thanks telling letter"
"Thanks for?"
"It's not true."
"Then? What was there in the letter?"
"The letter narrated that Khushi is not Chotte's wife. They are acting like a couple. They are cheating on us"
"I can't believe this"
"I don't know whether I should believe it or not"
"Don't believe it until the guilty proven."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm coming home... please don't discuss it with anyone until I come"
"Ok"
"Do anyone other than you know about the letter?"
"Nani"
"Please console her. I will be there in half an hour"
"Mmm"
Shyam disconnected the call and drive the car fast. He has to reach RM before Arnav reaches. He should take lead before Arnav comes up with the truth. He may tell the truth in anger if Anjali and Nani arrow question him.
In the meanwhile,
Lavanya told Arnav about the letter.
"What the...kkk... but how?"
"Yes, ASR. don't know who gave the letter"
"Does Khushi know about it?"
"Yes, ASR. she is scared. I asked her not to come out of the room until the problem is sorted out"
"You did right. Don't let her come out. If anyone tried to reach her, tell them she is sleeping. I'm coming"
Arnav jumped in the car and started it.
Anjali told Nani to be quiet until Shyam comes.
"Shyamji said we should not conclude anything without knowing what the truth is," Anjali said.
Nani looked at her confusingly.
"Please, wait Nani... let Shyamji come"
Nani nodded yes which made Lavanya huff in relief.
Shyam entered RM making sure that Arnav has not come yet. He felt relieved. Before entering in, he dropped an important message to Lavanya. She called Arnav as per the message.
"Tell me, Lavanya..."
"ASR, Bhai came home. They are planning something. Be careful" She disconnected the call.
Arnav was alert and speed up the car.
"Where is the letter?" Shyam asked.
Anjali gave it to Shyam. Shyam read it taking time... he took time until Arnav reached RM. He was keeping his eye on the entrance, waiting for Arnav. He saw Arnav coming. He started.
"We should not go with a nameless letter," Shyam said.
Arnav stopped, haring them.
"Why should someone write such a letter?" Anjali asked.
"It can be for many reasons... it's because Khushi is an orphan... it's because Arnav is a multi-millionaire... it's because we are happy... anything can be the reason...people won't tolerate if anyone is happy"
"What if it is true?" Anjali asked.
"It's not that hard to find out"
"How will you find it out?"
"Sale Sahib would not have married Khushi just like that. He would have registered their wedding. Give me one or two days. I will bring their wedding registration certificate" He said a little louder Arnav to hear.
"Could you do it?" Anjali asked.
"Your husband is a criminal lawyer. Trust him a little" Shyam smiled.
Arnav's mind worked fast. He planned what to do.
"Until we get to know the truth, please don't show your disappointment to Sale sahib and Khushi. They will break down if they get to know you are suspecting them if they are not at fault."
Anjali nodded yes.
"Please Naniji..."
"I can't tolerate if Khushi is not Chotte's wife"
"Naniji, have you forgotten that they are ready to get married with all the rituals...? Will they do it if they are not husband and wife? Don't we know Arnav? Could we manipulate him easily? He would never have agreed to the marriage if Khushi is not his wife. He is doing this only to make Khushi happy. We should not raise our finger on his greatness"
Nani wiped her eyes, nodding ok.
"We should trust Arnav over the nameless letter. However, I will find out the truth in a day or two" Shyam said that again Arnav to hear.
