I hastily walk past the kitchen stopping, as I see my mom has breakfast laid out on the table.
My dad is sitting down at the table, with his eggs and toast, orange juice as he reads the newspaper.
Daily bugle.
I walk in and my mom turns smiling at me as she seems to be frying some bacon.
"Morning sweetheart."
"Morning..."
"Grab a plate"
"I'm actually heading out"
"This early? Where to?"
"Uh.... A friends"
"Better not be Peter"
"It's not. Uh it's MJ"
"MJ? Why does that name sound familiar?"
"I believe she hung out with her and Ned yesterday honey. She has been friends with her for the last couple years"
Dad lowers his newspaper as he turns to Mom.
"Yes. I knew she sounded familiar. I am so glad you guys are not keeping in contact with Peter anymore"
"Yeah... me too. Look, she is going to be here any minute so..."
"She want some bacon? I can put some on for her"
"She's a vegetarian"

The door then goes.
"That would be her"
I go to the door as I open it about to leave.
"You must be MJ come on in!"
My mom walks up behind me, literally dragging MJ into our apartment.

MJ looks back at me and I mouth 'sorry' to her.
"Aww you are so pretty"
"Um... thanks. I moisturise"

My dad sets down his newspaper as he rises to his feet.
"Hello I am George. Gwen's dad"
Dad approaches MJ as he holds out his hand
"Oh. Hello sir."
"George. Just call me George"
"George... nice to uh, meet you"

Dad smiles at MJ as they shake hands.
"Okay we really must go"
I take MJ's arm, pulling her to the door.
"Okay. Don't be back too late. Don't need a repeat of last night"

We leave the apartment as I shut the door behind us.
"I apologise for all.. that"
"No worries. They're nice"
"Yeah well nice gets annoying very quickly. Especially from my mom."
"Well I would trade for nice any day"
I stop as I turn to MJ as we stop outside the elevator.
"MJ I-"
MJ shakes her head, as if to say to drop it.
Which I totally get and respect.
The elevator opens and we walk in
I enter the ground floor as they shut.
"So what was it that you needed me to get you this morning? Not that being with Ned looking at a tiny screen for hours wasn't a blast (light chuckle)"
"You know that.. uh (clears throat) prankster I was telling you about"
"The one who showed up outside your window. Come to think of it how was that possible as you live like ten story's high? You know I never stalked you I am just very observant"
I smile shaking my head.
"Well turns out that he is a multiverse trespasser"
"He is? Why didn't you catch him! Turn him in?"
"He's not a bad guy. At least I don't think he is. He knew me actually. Told me he loved me and that he would follow me my whole life.... Amongst other stuff"
"Wow. That's uh. Very"
"Creepy. I know."
"Wait , when this happen again?"
"When I was waking home. He had been following me all day. I think we dated or something in another universe. But I had to hide him from my mom which ended up with him in my bed—"
"Woah. Pause. He was in your bed?"
"He brought me home and we had to hide from my parents as... look it's a long story"

"All that matters now is that I told him that he would soon be sent back home to his actual girlfriend."
"Wait so he has a girlfriend. That sucks. Who is she?"
"Me. "

I laugh at her comment.

MJ smiles at me wiggling her eyebrows and I nudge her as she laughs.
The elevator pings and we leave the elevator as we head out.
"Sounds pretty intimate to me for a guy you just met. Well... second meeting in one day"
"He pulled me into the sheets to hide from my dad!"

MJ smirks at me as we are now outside.
"What guy was in the sheets with you? Did you sleep with someone? Oh my god I need details. Name. Description. Age... wait a second.... You don't have a boyfriend. Did someone harass you? Do you need me to beat them up?
I turn to Ned.
Ned is standing outside my apartment building.
MJ and I look at one another before turning back to Ned.
"No one"
"Is this like girl talk where you are not going to tell me anything"
"Yes"

Ned looks at us sceptically.
"Do I want to know?"

"Not really"
"Okay. Whatever I don't actually care anymore."
"Thought you would still be at the holy sanctum of wizardry"
"I needed the walk. I was confined in a small dark room for hours. With bad entertainment levels"
I roll my eyes at Ned.
"What I really want to know is, why it took you guys so long?"
"Why didn't you just come up with MJ then?"
"And meet your lovely parents. No thanks"
I roll my eyes as we start to head to Doctor strange's place.
"Where's Peter?"
"He coming by later. May needed him for something."
"Okay"
The air goes silent as we walk.
"You guys really not going to tell me what guy you's were talking about?"
"No, Ned. I thought you didn't want to know anymore anyways?"
"I lied. Trust me I very much so want to know about Gwen and a guy. Like that is such a rare topic these days"

"He's not lying though. Gwen you rarely talk about a guy. Unless it is a celebrity. Or someone you have no shot with"
