"Shh!"
It is V. He reveals a cheeky grin underneath the towel and covers his face again.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you all supposed to be at the Four Seasons?" you whisper.
He shakes his head. "We are here. Secret."
Jeez. The cost of all that public attention was high. You continue to talk in whispers.
"Are you busy?" he asks.
"Not really. Why?"
"Okay. Come with me," he says.
"Where? Why?" you ask, chuckling at his shy tone.
He tries to formulate a sentence in English but gives up.
"Come!"
Well. It wouldn't hurt to see what he was talking about. You follow him up to the first floor along with a series of corridors, finally into an out-of-bounds terrace overlooking the landscape below. Sitting on the floor in a corner hidden away by giant flower pots is Jungkook. He jumps up on spotting you.
"Hey Y/N!" he grins.
"Hey Jungkook! What are you both up to?"
Jungkook looks at V who looks back at him and they laugh.
"Nothing, actually," V says. "Jungkook said he needed partner - to practice English."
"Aha," you say, while Jungkook protests in Korean that there was no need to bother you for it - but you don't understand a word of it.
"In English, Jungkook," you say.
"Um - there was no need to disturb you," he enunciates the words very carefully.
"Eh - I was bored myself,"
V takes off his headphones and hands them to you.
"Should I put them on?" you ask, unsure where this is going. He nods at you then at Jungkook. The latter explains, "Ah, he wrote a song - and he wants your - your - opinion."
It's classic V, you think while listening. He's talking about wildflowers and winter winds, of an evening better spent with someone than alone, of magic that is not quite lost and love that is waiting to be found. It is so sweet, and a little sad.
V hangs on to your expressions, and the way you put your hands on your heart and smile causes him to smile. He likes your songs, not the mainstream ones, but the softer, moodier ones that you don't promote as much. And then Yoongi hyeong seems to have some sort of connection to you. He believes it was good fate that you were passing by right when he was wondering if it was time to start taking feedback on the song he's working on. So he waits for you to say something.
"V shi," you begin once the demo ends, "you brought me here to make me cry?"
It takes him half a second to get it, after which he chuckles and turns away. You hum the song and modify a few odd notes here and there.
"Whaa - will you sing it with me Y/N? Feature?" he then turns to Jungkook and adds in Korean, "Yoongi hyeong will produce it if I pester him a little, won't he?"
You catch Suga's name and "producer" and figure out the rest.
It sounds exciting enough. With or without Suga, it is your type of song and yet rather different from your usual style. So you assent to being a part of it. The rest of your free hour goes in chatting with the two and then at some point, you all start to dance to the nostalgic 90s music playing in the gardens below.
"One Love..." You and Jungkook sing along at the same time, dancing to a choreography of your own design. It is ridiculously fun to dance under the warm sun with a breeze in your hair. All three of you are natural and fluid in your movements, and for a bunch of morning-faced people in their pajamas, you all look rather good.
"Noona," Jungkook calls you, "can I make a short video?"
"Sure thing!" you reply, unaware that the short clip of you and V dancing would go on the BTS group chat later that night. And that while Jungkook wouldn't dare, Jin would "@" Suga on it. And that he would respond with multiple knife emojis.
At some point, BTS' Go Go starts to play.
"You know the choreography - really good," V remarks, laughing.
"Really well," you correct him, "- and of course I do. I can finally dance with my favorite Snow White!"
He facepalms while you and Jungkook laugh. "You acted really well, V. Seriously. It was hilarious," you say, referring to his costume in the Halloween dance video.
"Thank you," he bows slightly.
Before you go, he stops you, "Noona!"
You turn, smiling slightly at the affectionate term for older sister.
"Please do the song, okay?"
"I will!"
