wherein jimin, jungkook and aera are self quarantined (home isolation) after coming back from their prais trip.

"oppa, no! babies don't talk!" aera whines, shooting a glare at jungkook who sighs deeply, forgetting that he's being a five months old baby who is not supposed to do anything other than drinking milk from aera's old sippy cup and cry to tell her if he's not okay with something.
he sits quietly, forcing his back on the television screen where his favourite soccer team has been struggling to win the final match, while his sister is kneeling on the couch beside him, busy fixing the pastel yellow colored bib on his neck, then brings her sippy cup close to his lips.
jungkook hisses to himself, sucking out a little of the sweet milk ruining the taste of coke on his tongue, but he doesn't say anything for the little girl has been too cranky after being stuck in the house for over a week which often makes her cry out of frustration as she still doesn't understand the idea of quarantine.
"baby are you okay?" she peeks on jungkook's face studying the expression precisely as he scrunches hp his face, almost cursing at the television screen when the player misses to make the goal. "do you wanna go to the toilet?"
"no, i'm-"
"babies don't speak!" she repeats, smacking his face this time, making him groan in frustration. he shoots a glare at the girl, taking of the bib and the baby hat off his head, shoving it back to the sister's hand and pushes the sippy cup away.
"go make jiminie oppa your baby."
"no, koo's the baby." aera huffs, putting the hat on his head and ties it tightly under his chin, "don't be bad baby."
"i-" the kid whines again, kicking jungkook who doesn't seen to understand the seriousness of the game and keeps speaking despite aera telling him that babies don't say anything and are cute. tears brim her eyes again, hitting the brother's chest a few times which he doesn't mind, being too focused on the penalty shootout of his team. "fuck! hell yeah! i knew he would make it! i love you! yess!" he springs up on his feet, cheering loudly for making the score go up.
however aera flinches at the sudden energy that makes her stumble back and fall down from the couch, hitting the back of her head on the coffee table. a cry leaves her lips and jungkook's celebration stops, glancing down at the little girl who has started wailing her lungs out, touching her head where she's apparantly hurt.
"ah get up, nothing happened." he pulls her up, carrying her in his arms and rubs the spot on the back of her head, while his eyes are busy staring at the match, hissing on seeing the other team has made a goal too.
"jungkook-ah," jimin's voice calls from inside, "why's ri crying?"
"ah nothing, she fell from the couch." jungkook sighs when the opponent team scores again and puts the girl on her feet, patting her back, "go to jimin oppa. i need to refocus on the match, they're getting distracted."
"what's going on?" jimin frowns, walking in the living room as aera hasn't stop crying yet. he sits on the couch bringing the sister on his lap and rubs her back, "what happened? is kookie being a meanie?"
"koo pushed me..." aera cries and points at her head, "i fell on the table, it hurts oppa..."
"ah i'm so sorry, princess." he says, stroking her hair and kisses the top of her head, "i'm sure the pain went away now. it did right?"
aera looks at him and nods slowly, not crying anymore and wipes her tears, "i'm okay," jimin chuckles and kisses the tip of her nose, wiping the tears off her rosy cheeks completely. "oppa, koo don't wanna play with me. he's being bad baby."
"bad baby?" he frowns in confusion, glancing at the younger brother who is muttering prayers silently, staring at the television with a stressed expression. but the hat and bib he's wearing, gives it off for jimin that it's most probably about jungkook not wanting to be a baby for aera's pretend play.
"scold kookie, he's not playing nicely and he pushed me."
"jungkook, why did you push her?" jimin looks at the boy who doesn't pay attention, busy screaming his lungs out as the team misses as an easy goal, annoying him to a different extent as if the players were doing this on purpose to test his patience.
"what the fuck is wrong is with you people?! jesus! how can you miss that?!" he shouts at the tv, looking like a crazy person to aera and jimin who watch him with an utterly pitiful glance, even the six-year-old.
"stop cursing first." jimin sighs and turns off the tv, earning an even louder groan from the brother. "who said you can use those words in front your sister? what do you think she'll learn from you?"
"i didn't pay attention. did you see them? they're pathetic!" he rambles, pointing at the tv and jimin rolls his eyes.
"you will not curse when aera's around." the elder declares, "and why did you push her?"
"i didn't," he sighs, "she was making me a baby and made me wear those things. that's so weird! from which angle do i look like a baby huh? she needs to get her eyes checked, i'm double her own height and she says i'm the baby?"
"she was playing, you idiot." jimin hisses, "you had to pretend."
"why a baby? she could tell me to be a boxer, or a martial artist or a policeman or literally anything! why a baby?"
"because you're cute. but now you're bad." aera huffs, "you're not my brother."
"well who am i then?" jungkook crosses his arms on his chest, facing the sister who stands on the couch, leaning onto jimin and frowns at him.
"koo fuck you bitch." she scrunches up her nose. the brothers fall silent for a moment, staring at their sister and then at each other, bringing themselves to believe that the six-year-old did say that. even if it didn't sound harsh with her cute voice and an even cuter angry look plastered on her face, but the words she said for jungkook were too big to hide behind her cuteness.
"what the heck did you just say?" jungkook squints at her, his arms gradually loosing from his chest and rests on his hips, maintaining a posture that he thinks will scare the kid.
"fuck you bitch!" aera repeats, sticking out her tongue at him.
"you brat-" jimin motions his hand for the brother to stop and faces aera who is trying to hide behind him as jungkook doesn't make an attempt hide how pissed he is on hearing the three words.
"where did you hear that from?" the eldest asks.
"koo," aera says, steping between his arms and glances at jungkook, mocking at him as she's now in a safe embrace and he can't do anything to hurt her. "koo keeps saying that."
"i see," jimin nods, glaring at jungkook whose anger slowly fades away, making him look down in guilt, "don't say it again okay? it's a very bad word and only bad people use it. are you a bad person?"
"no," she shakes her head, "i'm good."
"then don't say it again alright? or there's fifteen minutes time out, do you want that?"
"nooo!"
"great, then don't say it again to anyone." jimin smiles when the sister nods quickly, holding her ears and apologizes. "my princess is a good girl, i know she won't do it again right?"
"mm-hmm," she nods, "but koo is bad. he keeps saying bad words."
"yeah, what should we do to punish him?"
"time out!" aera chimes, "and no tv."
"ah great," jimin chuckles, glancing at boy, "i think we should make him do the chores instead."
"okay and no cuddles!"
"alright, jungkook go do the dishes."
jungkook sighs deeply, mumbling a sorry and walks to the kitchen throwing his t-shirt on the couch to avoid getting it wet during the task and puts on the gloves on his hands while aera sits on the counter, singing one of her rhymes and jimin making some coffee.
a phone rings, stealing a part of jungkook's attention for it's his phone. he peeks over his shoulder, seeing aera running to the living room to get the phone. but instead of handing it to him, she gives it to jimin who frowns at the name, tilting his head before glancing at jungkook as if seeking permission to take his call. the boy sighs and nods, hoping it wasn't his stupid friends or a even a girl.
"hello?" jimin puts it on speaker.
"jungkookie," a male voice says, making the elder raise his brow at the younger, "i wanted to tell you, uh i'm not free on saturday. so i was thinking if we reschedule?"
"yeah sure," jungkook sighs, "when are you available?"
"whenever you say other than saturday. just uhm don't let anyone know."
jungkook closes his eyes cursing under his breath as he can feel his siblings eyes on him, especially jimin's questioning gaze. he clears his throat and glances at the phone, "yeah, alright. you can hang up now."
"a-are you mad at me? i'm sor-"
"no, i'm just a little busy right now. i'll call you later, bye." he says, gesturing for his brother to hang up and shakes his head, thinking of the silly boy who he recently discovered has a crush on him and has been trying to approach him for five months. it was his friends' idea to let the guy be happy with what he wants for a while. it was a just a coffee-date after all, and that's why jungkook agreed, not wanting to break the innocent boy's heart with a cruel rejection. so he decided he would talk to him and tell him politely that he doesn't reciprocate the feelings.
"who was he?" jimin asks.
"a freshie," jungkook answers, "he's been trying to reach out to me for five months now. dan said it would be cruel if i just straight up reject him, so we decided to meet out for a coffee. i'm still thinking of ways how tell him i'm into girls without hurting him. people are already very mean to him in college, not like i care but still, i'm a decent human being."
"look, i don't have a problem with you being anything. it's fine you wanna date him." jimin says, "but i really appreciate your considerations about him. good job."
"i know, thanks." the younger nods with a smile, glancing at his sister who is now playing subway surfers on his phone as the call has ended. "i've never rejected a boy before, i don't know how to do it. do you think you can help me out?" he asks jimin, sitting with him with a bag of chips in his hand.
"uhm well, i don't know either..." jimin sighs, "but you remember during high school, there was this guy he said he liked me? we found it kinda weird at that time, but now it feels like okay, no two people are same."
"what did you about it?"
"nothing, he never came up to me. he hadn't came out at that time i think, because no one really knew if he was straight or not. there were just rumours that he likes jimin so he must be not-straight. they used to call him that."
"well, this boy who just called me is a bi." jungkook says, "his family is really supportive from what i've heard."
"that's great," jimin smiles, "be nice to him."
"yeah i mean, i've grown up around boys so i know how to behave with them."
"you're hyungs aren't going on a date with you. it's different, like, you have a sister but it'll be completely different when you go out on a date with a girl."
jungkook nods understanding the brother's words and sighs deeply, "people will start thinking of me as not-straight once i go out with him. like that is so sick, it's not like i'll turn gay by having a coffee with him, like come on!"
jimin laughs at that, shrugging his shoulders and says, "but as for i know you, you're not bothered by their opinion about you. i mean you wouldn't be thinking about that boy if you cared about others' thoughts about you right?"
"mm-hmm, i can handle them." the younger smiles, "but i'm more worried about being their with a guy who likes me. i wouldn't know what to talk to him about, if he's into videogames, cars, bikes and soccer then great we might end up being friends, but if not, then i don't know what i'll do. it's gonna be awkward."
"bring him home i guess? if he likes kids, our riri is great with people." aera looks up from the phone at the mention of her name, waiting for the brother to repeat what he said about her. jimin chuckles and pats her head, "do you wanna make a new friend?"
"thomas?" aera smiles, "i want thomas and friends."
"not that, i mean as in do you wanna meet kookie's friend?"
"he likes games?"
"well, i don't know, you can ask when we meet him." jungkook shrugs, "why don't you go with me? it won't be that awkward for me then."
"are you sure? i was talking bringing him home after a few meet-ups when you become friends. wouldn't it be awkward for him if you take your little sister with you?" jimin says, giving jungkook a minute as he imagines a similar scenario in his head of a girl he asked out bringing her sibling along with her. er that is a big no no. jungkook scrunches up his face, shaking his head at the thought of it, deciding he wouldn't do anything unnecessary and just keep it simple to tell him he's not into guys. leading someone on when you don't want to be with them is wrong. very wrong.
"oppa" aera shakes his arm, giving the phone back and stands up on the counter top with her arms stretched out for him to carry her. jungkook smiles and takes a step back, gesturing for her to jump and he'll catch her mid-air.
she giggles, glancing at jimin who has one arm placed on the counter, standing next to her being ready to save any mishappening if jungkook isn't able to catch her. the younger brother opens his arm and aera jumps from the counter, laughing in excitement when she's being hugged against jungkook's hard chest that he's built with all the gym sessions with his hyung for both of them have been fitness freaks even since their teenage days.
she looks up squirming between his strong arms, cackling loudly as the brother leans down, rubbing his nose near her jawline and pretends to bite her cheek. "oppa! don't eat riri's cheeks!" she shrieks, still laughing as jungkook huffs at her, leaning down again near her face. "oppaaa!"
"hm what happened?" jimin chuckles, opening his arms on seeing her leaning towards him. she quickly comes in his arms, hugging him tightly and sticks out her tongue at the tickle monster who was trying to eat her cheeks.
"i will be tickle monster now." aera says, pointing at the floor and jimin gets the message, putting her down on her feet.
"you can be baby tickle monster." jungkook says, "because you're small y'know?"
"i'm big tickle monster!" aera declares, roaring at jungkook with her hands coming in the front, fingers curling as she shows them as her sharp claws. "i will catch you and eat you! hahaha!"
"ah really?" jimin pretends to be scared and moves away from her, "please don't eat me, who will you give you hug if you eat me?"
"yeah and who will you play with?" jungkook adds, laughing at her being a monster.
"no, tickle monster eats oppa." she grins, running after the brothers who laugh and run away, playing along as the little girl chases the two around the kitchen and living room until jimin gives in for her game, letting her catch him and falls on the couch.
"gotchu!" aera laughs, climbing on top of him and sits on his stomach, "tickle monster catch oppa!"
"please don't eat me, tickle monster." jimin pleads, "i have a little sister to take care of. what will she do without me?"
"no little sister. tickle monster will eat you hahaha!" she roars again, ticking his sides snd neck, making him laugh along with jungkook is just laughing, watching the sister's attempt on being the tickle monster today. she leans closer biting jimin's cheek and he pretends to groan pain before dying. "jiminie ate tickle monster!" aera laughs, pointing at the brother who is dead now.
"you mean tickle monster ate jiminie?" jungkook corrects, earning a nod from aera as she tries to remember if she said it wrong earlier. shrugging her shoulders, she lets it slide and leans near jimin again, kissing his cheek this time and he opens his eyes.
"jiminie alive." she says, "riri came and saved jimin oppa."
"ah thank you so much baby." jimin says, hugging her small body between his arms, "there was a tickle monster who was eating oppa."
aera gasps, covering her mouth and shakes her head, "bad tickle monster. don't be scared oppa, riri will p'otect you."
"protect," jimin says, "say riri sill protect you."
"p'otect you" aera nods, not spotting the difference yet which made jungkook crack up at the adorable mistake, as jimin pronounces the word again but aera doesn't seem to catch it. "riri will save you." she says at last, making the brothers laugh amusedly at the smart move from the kid.
"alright, thank you. riri is very strong." jimin smiles at her, his hands placed on her back as she's still sitting on his stomach, "now should we go and take a shower? riri needs to stay clean like a good girl to be stronger than the tickle monster right?"
"i don't like shower..." aera pouts, stopping fron her play and looks at him with pleading eyes telling him to let her go this once and she'll shower later. probably tomorrow.
"come on, i'm going too." jungkook says, hoping it would get her to agree for bathing at the thought being able to play in the water with him.
"jiminie oppa?" she asks.
"i did already," jimin says, "jungkookie is left because he was watching the match and you were playing."
"shower again oppa." she says, tugging on his shirt, "i'll shower with you, promise."
"let's make it a bubble bath." jungkook suggests, "in the jacuzzi, come on hyung, you cannot miss this at any cost!"
"yes!" aera chirps, pulling jimin's hand as she stands up in enthusiasm for the a nice relaxing bubble bath and playing with her duckies while the brother would relax.
jimin sighs deeply, nodding his head as he agrees eventually and stands up, pulling his t-shirt above his head and carries aera, "let's go then, it's a bubble bath day!"
she giggles in his arms as they head to the backside of the house where jungkook had requested to make a partially roofed garden with artificial grass ground and a jacuzzi, big enough for all of his hyungs to relax in when they're together. he presses the button, removing the cover from above and starts filling the water after making sure it wasn't that cold or too hot.
"which one?" he asks, showing a couple of bath bombs to jimin who is standing in front of the big television screen as aera is making him put a disney movie.
"hm?" jimin looks at him, "oh uh lavender?"
"smells nice," jungkook smiles, dropping the spherical lush balls in the water, watching the fizzer effect starting as bubbles come up and he turns off the water once there's enough. he sighs deeply, walking to the mini refrigerator on the side and grabs a few cans of beer and keeps them on the table top by the jacuzzi.
"hyung, it's done." he says after changing into his shorts and motions for aera and jimin to come as well.
"kookie's already in there," jimin chuckles, placing aera on the raised platform on which the jacuzzi is built and tugs on her t-shirt, "take this off, i'll come in a minute."
"okay," aera nods, taking of her shirt and then her pants, turning to face jungkook who is busy on his phone, "koo, should i take this off?" she asks, pointing at her underwear earning a glance from the brother and he nods his head.
"put on your swimming shorts instead." he says, "hyung! could you get ri's swimming pants?!"
"yeah, i got it." jimin replies, walking back into the garden and hands aera her blue swim shorts while he's already changed into his shorts just like jungkook. he gets in the water, releasing a relaxing breath between soft, heavenly bubbles and warm water. "this is just perfect."
"i know," jungkook sighs softly, leaning back until just his head is above the bubbles. "beer?" he asks, glancing at the elder brother who sighs deeply, but nods anyway.
"i want that," aera says, crawling behind the brothers on the edge lining the jacuzzi, until she's reached the drinks and grabs a can.
"no, aera. keep it back." jimin says, "that's not for kids."
"i know oppa," she smiles, "i'm a big girl."
"no, you're small." jungkook snickers and takes the can back, "you can get some juice for you from the fridge." he says, pointing at the refrigerator. aera nods, jumping down on the ground, jogging to grab a nice drink for herself.
"this?" she asks, holding out a bottle of soju, making brothers panic.
"no, take the orange juice." jimin says.
"there's orange made on it." aera points at the bottle.
"that's not an orange, just take the juice which has a straw with it, the one in orange color, that babies like." jungkook sighs, rolling his eyes, knowing aera just wanted to play and deliberately kept picking the wrong drinks.
she takes a box orange juice, heading to the jacuzzi and sits on the edge, letting her legs down in the water, watching the movie playing on the tv that nobody has being paying attention to.
"are you just gonna sit there?" jimin chuckles, lifting his head up and opening his eyes to glance at the sister who was busy sipping her juice and watching winnie the pooh.
aera shakes her head, putting the juice aside and stands up, grinning at the brother whose eyes widen as he realises she's about to jump in. "no! it's not deep, you'll-"
"ow!" the girl shrieks, making jungkook laugh as she slipped and landed on her bottom even before she jumped. jimin sighs deeply, shifting near her and helps her sit properly now that she's in the tub. "my butt... ouch, it hurts..." she scrunches her face, standing up and rubs over her shorts, earning a minor laugh from him.
"it hurts?" he chuckles, pulling her on his lap and hugs her gently.
"you're gonna bruise your butt." jungkook laughs.
"ouch..." aera pouts, "oppa..."
"yes honey?" jimin smiles, patting her bottom gently as she higs him with a pout, "do you wanna change the movie? let's watch frozen hm?"
she nods, taking her juice and sits lening on jimin as he puts on frozen now, gaining jungkook's attention too for he likes this one. jimin chuckles softly, kissing her head and rests back, closing his eyes and holding her loosely as she wouldn't let go of his hand. he sighs softly and takes a sip of his drink, trying to remember the last time he actually got time to relax like this. a smile tugs his lips, watching the younger siblings absorbed in the movie and he can just closes his eyes again and rests without worrying about a call from his manager or if jungkook is overworking himself or aera's homework. quarantine is not that bad.
