OMG OMG OMG another chapter!

Sorry for the long delay between them but I will do my best. I hope you enjoy what is probably the longest chapter to date, please let me know what you think in the comments and THANK YOU I LOVE YOU <3

Words:  6797

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It's about you and... umm... Sana... I don't know how to exactly explain this but..."

Mina could feel her emotions starting to boil over, but the curiosity insider her was pushing her to find an answer to what she saw earlier as she sat on the guest bed with you.

"Are the two of you... dating?" She didn't even try to soften the blow of the sudden question, "I couldn't help but notice how close you both were with each other after you brought Nayeon back. Even if it might be wrong for me to stare like that, the fact that you two were so willing to openly express your relationship like that made me think of so many things and I seriously couldn't help but be curious about the whole situation. But it's not like you need to tell me an answer, after all the two of you have every right to keep your private affairs private... after all."

So it turns out Mina was a rambler. How cute.

But... this was... new?

Both to Mina and yourself.

Mina couldn't believe how straightforward she was being. Just letting the words flow out of her mouth without any real idea if what she was saying made any cohesive sense. Kind of like when a dam breaks and water, much like her words, keeps spilling out.

A brief moment of silence came over the two of you as all the information was rushing through your brain, from replaying you and Sana's moment to Mina's sudden outburst... in the end you could only sigh.

"We're. . . We're not dating," you answered with the truth and nothing but the truth, "well, as far as I know... Sana and I are strictly friends."

"oh..."

"Yeah," you nodded somewhat emptily, "back then, when she was... sharing air with me, it was to... whisper something! Y-yeah it was a... thanks for finding Nayeon!" You exclaimed with hopes of buying your half-truth, "you know how Sana can be. She was just thanking me for finding Nayeon last night. Nothing more, nothing less."

Another, "oh," formed on Mina's mouth. Her own thoughts had begun to calm after so much panic. "I see," she nodded, although her train of thought slowed down not based on your answer, but rather by the inevitability that she would be tired after such an eventful evening, let alone the whole day.

After all, she's been grinding Apex Legends ever since everyone made it back to the dorms which was... almost 3 hours ago? Only being top 200 wasn't the elo she wanted but it was the hell she was stuck in.

You couldn't help but feel spent out of all your energy as well. You had completely forgotten that earlier today you were at the training facility, the whole debacle with the guys in the alley, saving Nayeon, and with all the thinking you had to do jut now... you also felt your body begin to shut down.

With a huge yawn that made Mina yawn just as much, you could now barely focus with the topic at hand.

"You know wha- *yawn* -t... how about we continue this in the morni- *yawn* -ng?... I'm just... too-" You couldn't even finish your sentence as you begin to nod off.

"No- no, I- *penguin yawn* I get it, it's been a long da-" Mina's eyes fluttered closed as she couldn't help but lie down on the super-duper-ultra-soft blankets below her. Her mind going blank to everything as she laid down and covered herself in the blanket.

You were about to say something, but seeing her all cozy and comfortable-looking just made your sleepy-self jealous. You wanted whatever she was having. Not wasting a single more second, before falling into dreamland, in Twiceland.

Chaeyoung creaked open her eyes, letting the sunlight shine into them. The warmth of the morning sun giving a sharp contrast to the cool air blowing throughout the room.

With a smile creeping onto her face, she jumped out of bed with a skip in her step. Normally Chaeyoung wasn't a morning person but today was different, after (Y/N) saved Nayeon the girls convinced him to stay the night in the guest room so that they could tend to his injuries. Now that is was the morning after it gave Chaeyoung the perfect opportunity to spend some long overdue time with her friend.

As she made her was down the quiet halls Chaeyoung thought about all te things you could do today, you could all have lunch together and she was planning to get a new tattoo soon so maybe you could go along with her, maybe even get a tattoo yourself.

As she approached the door she composed herself, opening the door a crack, Chaeyoung peaked into the spare room and what she saw immediately made her heart jump into her throat. A lump that made it feel impossible to breathe, impossible to even squeak a sound out.

Immediately closing the door, the only thing Chaeyoung could think to do was run back into her room and hide.

Chaeyoung felt her chest raise and fall as she stood in her room, back against the wall, still trying to process what she had just saw. She knew you were close to the other members but she never knew you and Mina had THAT kind of relationship.

As Chaeyoung stood there she suddenly felt a tear roll down down her left cheek. Wiping it away with her hand she couldn't help but laugh at herself.

"W-why am I crying?" She chuckled in disbelief.

She had no idea why she was crying.

You heard a slam that jolted you awake, you were groggy after being woken up so suddenly. Taking a look around you noticed nothing our of place in the guest room except for one thing, there was a peculiar presence in bed beside you.

Quickly looking to your left you noticed someone facing the other direction. Almost immediately your first reaction was to give them a small shake to see who was sharing the bed with you.

As you shook them awake, your heart almost exploded when they turned around.

"M-m-mina?!"

"(y/n)? What are you doing in my bed?" Mina yawned.

"Uh... I don't know ho to tell you but you're in my bed."

Mina immediately shot up once she heard that, looking around and recognizing the unfamiliar landscape. Mina's hands shot up to cover her gaping mouth but you could still see a familiar velvet tint to her cheeks.

"D-did we..."

"N-no! You came in here to talk to me last night remember?" You tried to explain how the two of you ended up sharing a bed.

"but it was my first time..." Mina turned away.

"please don't make it sound like that Mina..." You sighed in defeat.

"I'm only joking (y/n)." Mina laughed at your response. "Of course we didn't do anything, do you know how crazy that would be?"

"Okay... ouch." You commented as Mina continued to laugh at her own jokes. "But you shouldn't go around telling people that, it could cause some messy misunderstandings."

"Oh relax, I won't tell anyone about it." Mina reassured you. "But, about last night, are you sureeeeee you and Sana aren't dating? Lie, really sure? Because the two of you seemed awfully intimate last night." She suddenly reinitiated the, what you hoped to be, forgotten conversation from last night.

"Like I said, she was just whispering something to me, you know how Sana can be." You tried to explain your way out of the situation.

"Fine... I'll believe you for now. Just don't do anything crazy." Mina said as she got out of bed and headed towards the door before stopping and turning around to face you again.

"And please don't tell anyone about this, it was my first time after all." Mina put her finger up to her lips and gave you a wink before disappearing behind the door, leaving you without time to have a comeback to her snarky comment.

As soon as Mina closed the door behind her, she covered her face to hide her embarrassment and sprinted back to her room. A happy embarrassed mess.

While on the other side of the door you sat there in your borrowed pajamas trying to rationalize the past 12 hours you've jut had, from kissing Nayeon to almost kissing Sana and now sharing a bed with Mina? You really wish you could tell someone about this but that would only cause more trouble.

Maybe spending some time with Chaeyoung would help you sort things out.

*2 Weeks Later*

"Hey, are you sure you're okay (Y/N)?"

"Huh? Of course I am, I got cleared by the physio." You said in the midst of your stretching.

"I'm not talking about physically, you've been... off for a couple weeks now."

"Y-yeah I guess I just got something on my mind." You answer but not really answering at the same time.

"Well try not to think too hard about it, it can be nerve-wracking coming back from injury but we're all going to be behind today."

"I guess you're right, don't worry, I'm ready." You smiled to your teammate as he helped you onto your feet.

"Now lets get some food, we leave in an hour."

As you headed for the showers after your cool down there were a few things still hanging over your head. Part of it was the fact that you were on the bench for the first time in almost 3 weeks, the other was the fact that Chaeyoung has been avoiding you ever since that night you stayed at their place.

Why was she avoiding you? You could never figure out why, the other members wouldn't tell you or they said that they didn't know why she was avoiding you and damn was it frustrating.

Not only was the fact that you were trying to prepare for your first match back from injury but now your friend was basically avoiding you, how stressful. Regardless, the only thing that should really be on your mind is today's game.

"Maybe I'll text her again before the game." You thought to yourself before heading into the showers.

Taking your first steps onto the field at Tancheon Sports Complex you surveyed the grass, the stands and the substitutes area. It became somewhat of a pre-match ritual every time you played at a new stadium, it helped calm your nerves a little before the game.

You took in the air and let out a deep breath you, as you let it out you could faintly see the white fog signaling the upcoming change in seasons. It reminded you of the weather back home in London, kind of nostalgic honestly, you pondered the idea of visiting home for the first time since your loan.

"Hey kid, pre-match meeting is starting! Come inside!" You heard someone shout, snapping you out of your thoughts as you head back inside.

As you walked back into the dressing room you pull out your phone to send a quick text to Chaeyoung.

'If we win today can we hang out tomorrow?'

*Send*

You slip your phone away into your pocket before the manager notices, turning your attention back to the pep talk.

*Ding*

Chaeyoung's eyes peeked open at the distinct sound of her text notification going off.

Turning towards her nightstand she quickly looked at who sent the message before quickly feeling her heart begin to ache again. She's not been the same since a few weeks ago when she saw you and Mina sharing a bed.

"Are you going to answer him finally?" Dahyun asked from he corner of the room.

"I have been answering him." Chaeyoung answered, albeit in a very short manner.

"Okay fine, besides one word responses. Don't you think that you're avoiding him too much? If you have such a crush on him you should tell him right?"

"I-i don't have a crush on him, and even if I did Mina and him seem to be intimate already so what's the point?" Chaeyoung admitted in defeat.

'You definitely like him' Dahyun thought to herself before she stood up, making her way to Chaeyoung's phone.

Picking it up she read your message before quickly typing back a response and sending it. Leaving Chaeyoung with a perplexed expression as she could only watch her friend ruin everything.

"What the heck was that for!" Chaeyoung shouted.

"You need to talk to him, you've been holed up in your bed every moment you get the chance since you allegedly saw Mina and (Y/N) being sinful." Dahyun took little jabs at her friend.

"What did he even say?"

"He asked for you to hang out with him tomorrow if they win their game today. And I said yes for you so don't forget to watch the game okay?" Dahyun chuckled before leaving the room, leaving a flustered Chaeyoung overthinking everything.

"It's not like she missed a single game anyways." Jeongyeon smirked, having overheard the entire conversation.

"That's true but it's always fun to mess with her a bit." Dahyun laughed, taking a seat on the couch watching the pre-match press.

"I didn't know she was so into football." Nayeon mentions, coming over from the kitchen, cracking open a cold beer.

"She's into (Y/N) not the football." Dahyun answered rather confidently.

"I'm not convinced but whatever." Nayeon said, with her grip on her beer slightly tightening, turning up the tv some more to drown out her thoughts.

"Good Evening everyone and welcome to this beautiful your home team Seongnam FC and the visitors FC Seoul, for what we can expect to be a wonderful game."

"And a night highlighted by the return of (L/N) (Y/N) who has spent the last few weeks out through injury, an exciting young player on loan from Premier League giants Arsenal."

"That's not all, we're also joined by special guest stars... KPop megastars... Blackpink! Who have recently been announced as ambassadors for Seongnam FC and they are in attendance for their first home game since this announcement to encourage the home team."

"Let's all hope for a wonderful game tonight." The commentators concluded the announcements to the cheer of a full stadium.

You stepped out after the first 11's were already on the field to be completely overwhelmed by the cheers of the home fans, a level of noise you've only heard back in England. Although it was a small shock for you, you were worried about your teammates that might not be used to this level of atmosphere.

There was a pit in your stomach when you started thinking about the pressure your teammates might feel. But they're professionals after all, even more professional that you so hopefully they would cope.

------------------------------------------------KICK OFF---------------------------------------------------

3'

Immediately after kick off the home team makes a break down the left wing before a quick cross was whipped into your box to be deflected out for a corner. Followed by a roaring applause from the home fans the was probably drowning out all the shouting your goalkeeper was doing at his defense.

As you watch the oppositions set up for the first corner of the game, there's this feeling in the pit of your stomach, and you hate it.

"They're gonna score here." You mutter out, as your teammate's head turn to you for a split second before the corner is taken.

Almost exactly as you imagined it would happen, weak defending at the near post has been an issue with the team for a few weeks now and you've bee conceding from it quite often in training.

"GOAL FOR THE HOME TEAM! NUMBER 6 HYUN. TAE. KIM." The commentator announcement was nearly drowned out by the cheers from the fans.

You could hear the disappointment from your seat on the bench as you watched the manager shout at the players on the field.

This was going to be a long game...

FC Seoul (0-1) Seongnam FC

43'

As half time loomed near players on both teams were noticeably fatigued after an end to end game. It was incredibly tense after the first goal and you could see how desperate your team was to pull back a goal.

After a strong attack from your team Seongnam FC immediately won the ball back after some superb defending, taking the ball around your midfield they oppositions picked a beautiful ball through the left wing.

The winger seeing the striker unmarked in the box squared the ball for an easy tap in.

"A wonderfully worked pass leads into an easy goal for the striker! 2 - nil for Seongnam FC!"

"He'll never score an easier goal!"

The commentators sang plaudits for the home team as you watched your team deflate, only a few players trying to pick themselves up.

45+1'

The extra time board went up to show only 2 minutes of extra time, definitely not ideal when being down by 2 goals away from home and you could tell that your teammates thought the same.

Getting a little desperate your CB boots the ball deep towards the Left winger, with an amazing touch, brings the ball down perfectly within the opposition box.

After a few quick step overs the defender was made short work of, leaving the winger in a perfect opportunity to smash the ball past the keeper with his leftfoot.

The goal was met with a roaring cheer from the away fans as the majority of the stadium was left if disbelief at how they had just conceded. But  for you, your teammates, and the fans this was a way back into the game that you thought was all but lost before this.

"Goal for FC Seoul, 2-1!"

"A beautiful solo effort, he made the defenders look silly there."

55'

"FC Seoul are breaking through the middle of the pitch, this attack could put them level with the home tea- OH! A dangerous challenge by Kwon Soon Hyung leaves the attack writhing in pain on the floor as the teams swarm the official!"

As the 20 players on the pitch argued amongst each other you could see your teammate calling for the medical staff to come over. You could only hope for the best since you had just gotten back from injury yourself.

While you watch them help your teammate you hear your manager calling you over from the bench. Knowing what this means you immediately sped off to prepare yourself, taking off the training jacket you had been wearing the entire game and making your way to the benches to where the team's gear preparer stood by, your gear being put out from a bag.

"Listen (Y/N), I need you to go out there and make a difference. We're down by one goal and I know you can change that." He whispered into your ear as you prepared yourself.

"It's moments like this in your career where you'll need to step up and prove to everyone what you're made of. Prove your doubters wrong." You could only nod at the pep talk as he gave you a firm slap on the back and pushed you onto the field once the fourth official gave out the signal for your substitution.

Your first steps onto a field in almost a month was met with cheers and boos from the home and away fans alike. You were really taking in the atmosphere, it almost brought a tear to your eye as you felt the adrenaline hit you.

Plus Blackpink was watching you right now so that was a nice feeling.

78'

Finally you were starting to feel it, that feeling when you know you can start controlling the game, you could feel every pass coming off perfectly and you could feel that you would either score or assist soon enough.

Right now you had possession right outside of the opposition box, passing it to the right wing immediately expecting a quick 1-2 from your teammate. Instead they take it further before cutting it back towards you for a shot on goal.

As the football makes connection with your foot you watch as the opposition defender slides in to block the shot with the ball coming off his foot onto his arm before being cleared by his teammate.

As you watched the ball fly out of bounds you along with all your teammates shouted for handball.

"Hand!" You all synchronously shouted as multiple arms were raised to signal to the officials.

*Beep*

The referee blows the whistle and points to the spot as he's met with plaudits and anger from both sides of the pitch. It was pointless to argue after the replay as everyone had seen the defend clearly handle the ball. Although unintentional it still counts.

You stood back in anticipation as your striker confidently walks up to the penalty spot, setting the ball down, he stood there confidently as the keeper was staring him down.

"Damn I would be nervous." You whisper to your teammate standing besides you.

"Well that's why you don't take pk's (Y/N)." He answered. "Now watch and learn how it's done."

"Here we go! A decisive penalty that could very well determine the outcome of the match." The commentator spoke.

"If FC Seoul score here they could very well go on to win the match but anything less than that will give them a mountain to climb if they want anything from this match."

"Current top scorer Cho Young Wook steps up to take the penalty... He slot's it towards the bottom left and..."

"SAVED BY THE KEEPER."

"Young Wook is DENIED glory to bring his side level with the home team!"

The metaphorical roof on the stadium erupted as the penalty was saved.

You could literally see the hope drain from your team as well as yourself with the penalty miss. Getting anything from this game would be an accomplishment at this point in the match.

Only 12 minutes to go and you were a goal down, it would take a miracle to win.

'What can we do now.' You thought to yourself.

88'

*Beep*

The referee blows for a free kick right outside of the opposition box after a hard tackle from the opposition defenders. The location was less than ideal since it was placed nearly directly centered with the keeper, not really giving you a open side to aim towards as you stepped over the dead ball.

"Which side should I shoot towards?" You ask you teammate as the two of you stood over the ball.

"Go top left."

"Top left? You know I'm right footed right?" You asked in disbelief at the idea.

"Just take it with your left, you've done it in training."

"Huh? You're joking right?" You still couldn't believe what you just heard.

"They'll never expect it, now go for it, be the difference maker." He flashed you a smile before he stepped back, giving you the opportunity to take a shot towards goal.

Looking down you took a deep breath, before taking a quick peek at your target. Taking a step back you tried to release all the pressure before winding up and striking the ball rather cleanly.

It was like time stood still for a moment as you and everyone else in the stadium just watched the ball, and oh my gosh was it a beautiful sight to see. The ball just glided across the face of goal and slotted into the goal off the post.

...

It took you a second to register what had just happened, but once you realized that the stupidest idea that anyone has ever told you to do during a match resulted in an equalizer... well let's just say everything went black for a few seconds after.

The next thing you realize you're surrounded by your shouting teammates, all celebrating with you.

"YOU CRAZY SON OF A BITCH!"

"NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!"

"YOU MANIAC!"

Man did that goal feel good. Something about scoring from a freekick felt... magical, it gave you butterflies just thinking about it.

"Come on everyone! Let's win this game!" Your captain shouted as he dragged everyone away from celebrating and back into the reality that you were still playing a match.

"Yeah... let's win." You said with a smirk on your face.

90+2'

FULL TIME: Seongnam FC (2-2) FC Seoul

Yeah... you didn't win. But at least you didn't lose either. It was a disappointing result for your first game back from injury but you couldn't be mad at yourself either since you did score the equalizer.

As you made you way down the hall, sweat still dripping down your brow, you were stopped by some reporters with some questions.

"(Y/N), can you describe the feeling of scoring that amazing goal? Almost Messi-esque if I were to compare."

"Well what can I say... it felt incredible to get back on the scoresheet, especially if you compare it to someone like him. I only wish we had won the game." You could only chuckle as you were sure your face a flushed with embarrassment at being compared to the goat.

"And how did it feel watching your top scorer miss what turned out to be a potentially game winning penalty?"

"That's just how football is sometimes. Maybe if he went right we win the game but you can never ask what if's in these situations." You tried your best to defend your teammate, everyone's missed a penalty before.

"Now, you've been gaining some popularity for being so close with Twice but have you made friends with any other industry members? Perhaps Blackpink who are in attendance tonight?"

"Haha, no I've never met Blackpink but I would love to meet them sometime." You smiled at the idea of meeting even more idols.

"Could any of them convince you to make your loan with FC Seoul a permanent move?"

"No Comment." You laughed at you left the interview leaving the reports with maybe a better headline than anticipated.

As soon as you returned to the team bus to make your way back to the training ground, you pulled out your phone and sent a text to the one person that was on your mind right now.

'Hey Chae, we didn't win the game...' Hitting send you anxiously awaited her reply.

'I know. I was watching' She responded, not a second later

'I guess I'll see you some other time then.'

'No. Let's hang out tomorrow.'

Well that was unexpected.. After avoiding you for a few weeks she suddenly seems willing to meet up with you.

'Wait really?'

'Yeah, let's grab some food. I'll send you the details later.'

After Chaeyoung sent the message she couldn't hide her nerves or excitement as she squirmed around in her bed.

Mina and Dahyun, who had been watching Chaeyoung were perplexed at the younger girl's antics as she was not usually one to act like this. Dahyun couldn't help but have a smile plastered on her face, knowing exactly why Chaeyoung was acting this but Mina on the other hand was not staring at Dahyun with a confused look too as she felt like she was the only one out of the loop.

"What is wrong with these girls..." Mina asked herself. "I should stick to Apex."

"Wow. This seems a bit extreme..." You said aloud as the elevator doors opened onto the elegant restaurant décor of the address Chaeyoung had requested to meet you at.

"Mr. (Y/N)?" The hostess approached you as you nodded in response. "Please, follow me. We have your room ready." She smiled as she lead you towards the back of the restaurant  before sliding open a door to reveal a private dinning room outlooking the entire city of Seoul.

"Oh, she's not here yet?" You asked the hostess when you notice that Chaeyoung was nowhere to be found.

"No sir. Ms. Son has yet to arrive. When she does I will bring her here as well." She said with a smile. "Can I bring you a drink?"

"N-not yet. Thank you." You answered as you approached the table, hearing the door close behind you.

'I hope this place isn't too expensive...' You thought to yourself, flipping open the menu to find out just how wrong you were.

"Sorry I'm late." Chaeyoung's voice brought your attention from the menu as you watched your friend franticly take off her coat as she walks through the door.

"No problem... what took so long?" You smiled at your first real words you've spoken with her in what felt like years.

"Dahyun was arguing with me about what I was wearing." Chaeyoung's words were sharp and cold as she told you her reason for being late.

"Can I get you a drink Ms. Chaeyoung?" You saw the waiter poke his head through the door, sadly cutting off your chance to chat with Chaeyoung.

"Oh yes, can you bring the usual?" Chaeyoung asked before looking towards you. "Is the anything in particular that you wanted?" When you shook your head Chaeyoung looked back towards the waiter. "Then we'll just have the usual, and I told you to drop the 'Ms.' it makes me sound older than I actually am."

"Of course, I'll be back shortly." The waiter nodded before disappearing behind the door leaving the two of you in silence.

...

...

...

'Man this is awkward.' You couldn't help but think that as the two of sat the in silence, trying your best to avoid eye contact with one another. It felt as like everything you had been feeling these past two weeks but amplified as the two of you were now sat mere feet apart with nothing to do but either speak to each other or just sit there.

*Tick*

*Tock*

*Tick*

*Tock*

*Tick*

The sound of the clock was the only sound emanating from the room as the two of you continued to avoid conversation, the only saving grace was the waiter returning with waters and some wine but even that was short lived as he departed the room, promising to be back shortly with the entrees.

"So... did you ever get to meet Blackpink?" Chaeyoung asks, cutting through the air with her soft voice.

"Huh? Oh... yeah. They were really nice. How did you know I met them though?"

"I know they are. And Jennie posted a picture onto her story." Chaeyoung flashed her phone up for a second, showing you Jennie's Instagram story, it was taken right after the game. You honestly didn't expect her to upload that given you were playing for the opposition team but whatever.

"Oh yeah.. they did." You nodded in response.

...

...

...

The silence was back and stronger than ever this and you had no idea why.

A few weeks ago the two of you were the best of friends, the conversations would flow naturally and even when it didn't the silence wouldn't feel as... sharp as they do right now. This was the type of silence you'd get after your parent picks you up from school when you got in trouble.

It was soul crushingly awkward.

Technically it only took the waiter a few minutes to return with the food but to you it felt like it took a year and a half as the two of you sat in silence waiting for the other to speak. But what the waiter brought back was definitely worth the wait as the intoxicating smell filled the room.

"The tomahawk steak for two." The waiter said as they placed the rather large piece of meat in front of the two of you.

"Huh? I didn't order thi-"

"It was a request from Ms. Dahyun." Chaeyoung tried to speak up but the waiter cut her off promptly, leaving her disbelief at her roommates antics.

Now the two of you were awkwardly sharing a meal as you were contemplating if you should say something.

"So I heard you've been hanging out with Sana a lot lately..." Chaeyoung was the braver of you two as she was the first one to speak up.

"Oh.. yeah. It feels like she's been reaching out a lot and it's not like I have any reason to turn her down." You answered, taking another bite from the steak.

"What have you been doing with her?" Chaeyoung asks, finally making eye contact with you as she also takes another bite of the food in front of her.

"She's really been getting into gaming lately... I blame Mina honestly. Her and her gaming is starting to rub off on the rest of you and now I'm getting dragged along." You sighed, reminiscing about Sana's now found gaming addiction, although it was mostly just party games like Mario Kart and the Sims.

"She's making making me play as well, she's been staying up until like 3 am screaming about everything." Chaeyoung chuckled as she put her hands onto her head as the memories of those late night gaming sessions returned to her head.

The sound of Chaeyoung's laugh was so heartwarming to you that it could've brought a tear to your eyes if the steak wasn't so good, but seeing her smile again was a great. You always felt the most comfortable around her, not to say that the other girls made you uncomfortable, but there was something about hanging out with Chaeyoung that made it so easy for the two of you to feel comfortable.

As the night continued the more the two of you opened up about what's been going on the past few weeks. It turns out that Chaeyoung had been avoiding you because she saw that you and Mina had shared a bed, much to you embarrassment, and came to the conclusion that the two of you had a more intimate relationship than expected.

A misunderstanding that you quickly cleared up. The look on Chaeyoung's face was priceless as she realized the mistake she had made and her only solution to all of this was to avoid you for who knows how long.

(For the next part, feel free to listen to this song for atmosphere https://open.spotify.com/track/45MJXr9uooeBZJbXRegFMB?si=6BbHPFE9QFC6CfB7Ta6-jg&utm_source=copy-link)

"You can't be serious!" You laughed aloud as the two of you were now walking down an empty alleyway having completed your luxurious dinner. The lights of the stores around you lighting up your faces.

"Shut up! It's the most logical thing to think!" Chaeyoung defended herself.

"Is that what Dahyun said?"

"N-no... she said that there was probably a better explanation for it..."

"Aaaand was there?" You asked with only a little bit of sarcasm in your voice.

"Whatever, I hate you." Chaeyoung turn her head as she pouted at her mistakes.

The two of you now found yourselves is silence once again, now the only difference was that now there was no hint of awkward tension between the two of you, now you felt that all air had been cleared between the two of you.

At least that's what you thought, but Chaeyoung had something on her mind. Ever since she found out that you and Mina weren't romantically engaged there's only been one thing on her mind. But she didn't know if she had the strength to do it.

"Hey so I thought after this maybe me, you, Mina and Sana can all go-" You turned around to notice that Chaeyoung had stopped in her tracks a few steps behind you. Walking back to her you slightly leaned over so that you were now eye level with the girl. "Are you oka-"

Before you could finish your sentence you were cut off by the softest feeling imaginable. It was a surprise but at the same time it wasn't... like, you should've seen it all along, how could you miss it? The signs were all there. But you did, you never saw this coming.

As the two of you stood there for a moment, your body frozenin shock a cool breeze swept through the empty streets that surrounded you, sending a chill down your body, jolting you back to life.

Taking a step back, a trail of saliva kept the two of you together, you almost wanted to go back in for another kiss but almost immediately after you two separated Chaeyoung brought herself into your chest and you naturally wrapped your arms around her.

You could feel not only her heartbeat but yours as well. You've never felt your heart race like this, not when you signed with Arsenal for the first time, not when you scored your first goal, not even when you moved to England alone. Your heart was beating so fast it felt like you had 2 hearts challenging each other to see who could beat faster.

The silence that had been present throughout your whole night had returned but for the third time tonight there was a different feeling to this one. This silence was in anticipation, maybe it was the adrenaline of just being kissed but you couldn't wait to hear what she had to say. You waited for a moment to see if she would respond but when she never did you decided to start.

"Chae, where did this come fro-"

"why..."

...

...

"why is it always about Sana or Mina or Nayeon or Tzuyu."

"why is it always about everyone else?"

"why is it never me?"

As Chaeyoung said those final words she finally lifted her head and looked at you with tears welled up in her eyes.

"Chaeyoung... Oh Chaeyoung it's never not been about you." You brush away the speckles of tears forming in her eyes as you cupped her soft cheeks with both hands. "You're the first person I met in Korea so there's always a special place for you."

...

"So why didn't you kiss me?" You fiinally asked.

"I- I realized that after I saw you and Mina It made me feel something in my chest that I didn't like... so when I found out that it wasn't true there was only one thing on my mind." Chaeyoung answered, make her face turn bright red.

"There's a lot of thing I don't know about these feeling I have inside but I know that I don't regret what I just did." Chaeyoung continued as she finally looked up to you.

"I don't really know much either about what just happened and everything that you're feeling but there is one thing on my mind right now." You said as you leaned back down, connecting your lips once again.

"You know I have butterflies in my stomach." You asked as the two of you continued to walk down the streets, not really worrying who would see the two of you.

"If you have  butterflies I probably have a whole bird in my stomach." The two of you couldn't help but laugh at Chaeyoung's dumb response.

"Thank you for tonight (Y/N)." Chaeyoung smiled, as she leaned onto your arm for a brief moment.

"Thank you too Chae, for helping me all the time." You smiled.
