Bucky's POV
I should have known not to kiss (Name). This wouldn't have happened if I wasn't such a lustful idiot. But she said she loved me too. So, maybe it's not entirely my fault. But it's not her fault either. I know I should say something to her about it, but I don't want her to get yelled at by her dad again. I can't even begin to imagine how she feels about that. I want to tell her how much I love her, and that I'll always love her, but her father thinks I'm a danger to her... Maybe he's right. Maybe I am too much of a hazard to her. What if I lose control one night, and in one of my fits and I hit her? Or kill her? I would never forgive myself. Maybe I should just-
A knock on my door tears me from my thoughts. I realize that I'm a pathetic heap in the corner of my room. I must look like some depressed, psychopath...
The door is knocked on again, so I get up and trudge to the door. Maybe it's Steve coming to check on me, or asking to do something. Maybe it's (Name), part of me hopes it is. Part of me hopes it's not.
When I open the door, I find Agent Phil Coulson, not (Name) Coulson standing there. And suddenly I'm nervous.
"Um... Hi," he starts seeming unsure of himself.
"Hello," my voice was scratchy and came out more like a growl.
"I wanted to apologize to you, about the way I acted on Monday evening,"
"Yes?"
"There's only so many words in the world. Not enough of them can express how deeply ashamed I am, for embarrassing (Name), and you,"
I gave a curt nod. I'm not good with vocalization. Unless it's (Name).
"And although I know I'm supposed to be apologizing here. I do need to say, my daughter trusts you, and you seem to trust her. But if you do anything to hurt her, I will not hesitate to release you from duty at S.H.E.I.L.D,"
"Understood Sr."
