"Fuck!" You exclaimed with a shrill sound of terror. You had been on the upper floor checking the rooms for one of the last four generators, but upon entering one of the rooms, you missed the fact there was a hole in the wood. Just like clockwork, you had fallen into it and descended down into what you presumed to be a kitchen.

This place was like a damn maze. You didn't know which way was which. With pain blossoming across your body, you just laid there on the ground for a few seconds and took a deep breath while reflecting on the trial.

Three generators were down already. So far, Claudette had been hooked twice. You and Mike had been thrown on once, while Sam was yet to join the team.

"That did not look like a soft landing." Mike's voice brought your attention back to the moment. He walked over from near the window. A generator was sat up against it, moving in a slow rhythm. The man gave out his hand and you groaned, looking him up and down before taking it.

"This place is a house of horrors." You muttered with a glance up at the hole you just tumbled down. Mike just shrugged in apparent agreement. He motioned you over to the gen as he walked back to it, so you followed.

"So. What happened before you woke up here?" You questioned, now more curious about his history after everything you'd seen so far. Earlier he had gone out of his way to attract the Wendigo to chase him rather than Claudette, actually impressing you quite a bit.

Mike began adjusting the wiring and tuning of the generator as he looked at you with a hum as he debated how to explain.

"How much time you got?" He joked, revealing it to be a long story.

"Until we get merked by that creepy son of a bitch." You answered, grabbing two blue wires and connecting them.

"Uh... So, me, Sam and six other friends came up to this lodge as sorta like a reunion. One of them: Josh. He owns the place." Mike began calmly, eyes twitching as he felt a flash of fatigue from how long the trial had been going on for. You were waiting for this seemingly nice story to go south.

"But, uh... Turns out he was pranking us as revenge because..." Mike trailed off.

"Because?" You waited eagerly for the next part.

"Well, a year prior, we pulled a prank on his sister, Hannah... and because of that, she ran off into the forest while his other sister followed. Then they were never seen again." Mike sighed, regretting his involvement in the situation. That wasn't... as bad as you were expecting, actually. But, oh no. No, you shouldn't have thought that before hearing the next part.

"Turns out Hannah ate her sister and became a Wendigo. Then she proceeded to try kill us all." Mike spoke nonchalantly, keeping his horror to himself. You just nodded to yourself. There it was. The usual horror vibes that seemed to follow anyone brought here... Well- most people brought here.

"That's definitely going up at the top of my 'weirdest backstories' list." You chuffed. Now to decide if it went above or below Ji-Woon's.

Just as the generator was about to come to life, another pinged in the distance. Suddenly a different one lit up in the distance of the lodge, and right on queue the Entity reached up with its unnerving and sharp claws, grabbing the generator and stopping you two from working.

"Ew! What the hell?" Mike exclaimed, stepping back in repulsion.

"The fuck?" You squinted. Was this some kind of perk? You hadn't seen anything like it except for that trial with Danny. This had happened whenever he lifted someone up, which was peculiar.

"Is that gonna stay like that?" Mike pointed at it.

"I don't know. Maybe the others are still unblocked." You hopped from one foot to another, speed walking out of the kitchen as Mike stayed where he was and stared at the thing.

When you made it into the living room, the generator there was covered, too. This wouldn't be permanent, right? Surely, not.

A growl came from above you, making you forget about the generator instantly. A single drop of drool dropped down and soaked into the shoulder of your coat. Your heart thudded like a hammer against stone, but you tightened your muscles and stood still.

Sam said they couldn't see you if you stood still, right? When the thing dropped down from above and to the floor, its head spun as if searching. The Wendigo stood up on its back legs, showing it was actually hella tall compared to you.

It snarled, stepping around for a few seconds and looking left and right. You held your breath, trying not to make any sound as it leant near to you and stared at the wall.

Then all of a sudden, the scared heartbeat you once had was replaced by the rapid thumping to indicate the creature's presence. With the return of its terror radius, you were shocked to see its eyes immediately lock on to you with a screech.

"Ay, wait what?!" Your eyes shot open as you were slashed across the chest by the creature, spilling blood down your clothes. Did that son of a bitch lie to you? No... No, it certainly couldn't see you until just now. It did seem to move quicker without its terror radius. Maybe that was some sort of ability given by the Entity.

Well, those were thoughts for a later date. You dashed up the stairs as the Wendigo fluttered its claws before giving chase at a normal killer speed. Normal killer speed? Now that you heard yourself, that just sounded weird.

You ran along the walkway and further into the lodge. You slid a hand over Frank's knife as it sat inside your jacket. It was interesting that you now had two of his. Since the survivors had seen you take one as a killer, you could get away with using it in both types of trials.

Wait- the survivors... You hadn't spoken to them since that incident. Fuck... Claudette hadn't really mentioned anything about it, but you could sense that she was hiding it. Not like it mattered.

You clipped inside a doorway, finding yourself in a bathroom with a big looking bath. The only thing was the hole that shattered into the middle of it. God damn, what was with all the holes? Even though they were helping you extend these chases.

The sound of clicking made your head turn to the corner of the room. Sam's eyes stared at you with the same surprise as she crouched over a totem with lit candles beneath it.

"Hey, (Y/N). What do I do with-" Sam stood up and started to walk over to you. She was sweating and was nervous as her heart pounded for some reason. You immediately started shaking your head as the Wendigo got to the door.

"Sam, don't!" You exclaimed as she got closer. Suddenly the creature burst into the room, it's eyes switched between you and Sam. Within an instant, it settled on the girl as it recognised her face.

Sam's face dropped in fear as the Wendigo dove for her, claws reeled back to strike at her throat. She stumbled backwards, but would be unable to avoid the attack. Unable if you didn't step in.

You grabbed the creature by its thin wrist, releasing the knife from your coat and swishing it into the frail chest of the being. The Wendigo shrieked and stopped its attack, stumbling back as you pulled the knife back. It looked stunned, more so from your Retaliation again.

Sam's eyes blinked to check she just saw what she did, and you stared back at her with a few ragged breaths. She looked like she wanted to say thank you, but was much more worried about you right now.

"Break that." You pointed to the totem, looking back at the Wendigo as it started to recover. In a swift move, you tackled the creature down the hole in the bath, shutting your eyes to pretend you didn't just do the dumbest thing in your life. Last time you heard about lit totems, it was indeed not a totem smoking ganja, but a hex totem. Bill told you to cleanse them unless against Spirit.

Sam's voice caught in her throat from the pure shock she was experiencing. Had she just watched brilliance or idiocy? A bit of both, most likely. But she did as she was told and turned back to the totem.

You hit the floor of the lodge's basement hard. The Wendigo landed down beside you, a hiss leaving its throat as it looked over you. What had you just done to it? The creature was impossible to read, but you could certainly tell it was pissed at you.

Quickly, you were stabbed by its claws, leaving you unable to get back up. A pained whine left your throat because of it, followed by a small stream of blood trickling from behind your lips as you were grabbed by the ankle. Woah, this thing wasn't gonna lift you?

Apparently not as it began dragging you along the floor. It wouldn't have been too bad if you didn't smack your body on every single thing on the ground. Boxes and bottles were covering it as they had fallen from shelves down here.

The Wendigo pulled you down another set of stairs, bringing whispers to your ears as you tried to figure out where you were. You were pulled down and past two lockers. After turning your head as far as you could, you saw 4 hooks stations together in the middle of this basement room.

The creature grabbed your shoulder with its other hand, throwing you up and onto the front basement hook harshly, drawing a very honest scream from your throat. Why the fuck did these ones hurt so much more than the other hooks? Were they doused with bleach?

The Wendigo gave one last growl before disappearing back upstairs. Well, that was wonderf- Holy sh-!

The Entity's claws suddenly jabbed at you from the hook, trying to stab through your body. With more luck than skill, you caught the one stabbing at you and managed to hold it back. But it wouldn't last.

A boom went off in the distance, seemingly from the same room Sam was in. That totem must be gone now. After about 15 seconds of hanging and waiting, the same generator you and Mike had been on was finished. That totem must've been keeping it locked down.

30 more seconds and you were still just chilling... Totally not about to be whacked out by an inter-dimensional monster. Everything was cool. After 10 more seconds, the claw began to push past your arms and into your chest, leaving you with nothing to do as nobody arrived to help.

Well, this called for a diary entry. Three angry pages about why you were carrying the team today. Three angry pages like the three claws that suddenly jutted into your sides and chest, bringing out a shrill cry from your throat before your body started to go limp.

They'd certainly be hearing about this later...
