"Hey" Andrew said as he walked up to Spencer.

"Hey" she smiled.

"You're back" he hugged her. "How's your grandpa?"

"He's okay" she shrugged, earning a look from Snape.

"And you?"

"Same" she smiled. "Sorry I was gone for so long."

"Don't worry about it" he smiled.

Spencer smiled back before placing her head on her palm.

She'd hoped things were actually going back to normal.

First thing that she noticed was different: Snape wasn't teaching the same.

It seemed... easier?

It didn't make sense.

Harry could do this, she thought to herself.

At the end of class he asked her to stick around, not a surprise.

"You didn't come to see me" he spoke.

"I know it was just... a lot I guess" she shrugged.

"What happened?" he asked.

"You know what happened" she stood up and fixed his cabinets.

"I'd like you to tell me."

"We said bye" she replied. "My stuff will be at the Weasley's by the end of the month. Said he'll start sending money because apparently now is the time he wants to care but when has money fixed anything."

Snape stared at her back.

"He said he loved me" she nodded. "And," she cleared her throat, "I called him dad... when we said bye."

"How do you feel?"

"Like shit" she answered. "So are we going to talk about how you-"

"I did it for you-"

"I don't need you to-" she turned around.

"A lot has been going on, there's no shame in needing to take it easy" he shook his head.

"I knew you'd be in here" Dumbledore walked in.

Spencer faced him.

"Kingsley has a couple more questions" he said sadly.

"Ok" she nodded.

"I was thinking Professor Lupin could go-"

"No" Snape cut Dumbledore off.

"No?" he asked.

"No" he answered.

"Professor-" Spencer tried to say.

"He's done enough" Snape cut her off.

"You have class" Spencer replied.

"I'll cancel" he said. "He's indisposed either way."

"As heartwarming as this is, he's asking you go in at 5" Dumbledore spoke.

They faced him.

"At... five?" Snape asked.

"Yes" Dumbledore answered.

"Then we'll go at 6" he said.

"No, you'll leave at 4:50. Be there at five" Dumbledore spoke.

"I'll go by myself it's-"

"No" Dumbledore and Snape said simultaneously, facing her.

After a few seconds it was as if they were talking to each other in their heads.

Snape seemed furious.

"Go home Spencer" Snape said.

"But I have-"

"Home, don't act like a child" he said as he faced her, speaking with her least favorite tone.

Spencer rolled her eyes and grabbed her bag.

"If you keep doing that they're going to stay that way" Snape said.

"Good, maybe that way I wouldn't have to look at you" she said, gathering her stuff.

"Someone should to put you in a mental institution for speaking to a professor like that" he replied.

"Someone should put you in a box floating down a river" she responded before leaving.

Spencer walked back home, thinking about what the interaction between Dumbledore and Snape might've meant.

She sneezed before walking into her home.

"Bless you" Remus said from her couch, a twizzler in his mouth.

"Thanks" she said, dropping her bag and taking her shoes off.

"Skipping class, love? Is there a projection from mars with you as well?"

Spencer giggled, "No" she replied. "Snape told me not to go."

"Why?"

"Dunno," she walked into their kitchen, "it was- he was weird but whatever I didn't want to argue" she added. "How are you?"

"Good" he replied. "Better."

Spencer sneezed again. "What the fuck" she said. "Did you dust?"

"No" he answered. "You're probably getting sick" Remus spoke, Spencer groaned.

"By the way, I'm going to the ministry later today. Kingsley has a couple more questions" she walked back to the living room.

"What do you mean?" he looked up at her.

"I don't know," she shrugged, "Dumbledore just said that" she sat next to him.

"Maybe that's why Severus wanted you to come home" he replied.

"Maybe" she laid her head on his lap.

Remus placed his hand under her shirt, rubbing her back.

"What do you know about time travel?" Spencer asked.

"I know not to mess with time" he relied.

"You've said that but what do you know."

"Time turners. That's what people use, but it's not easy. They are regulated by the ministry and I've heard you can only go back about 4 maybe 5 hours give or take" he answered.

"Where would you like to go?" he asked.

"Nowhere" she shook her head. "Just curious" she shrugged.

"Curiosity killed the cat" he replied.

"Satisfaction brought it back" she said.

"Discutible."
(Debatable)

Spencer chuckled.

"Why do you ask then?" he asked.

"I'm just curious, that's all" she answered.

"Ok" Remus nodded.

"When I go I might steal one" she joked.

"Yeah, I'll visit you in azkaban" he chuckled.

"I'd like to think I'm more sly" she shrugged.

"You are, my love" he nodded.

"Thanks" she smiled. "My love" she smirked, sitting up.

"You find your own endearments" he lightly shoved her.

"How do you feel about... honey?" she got on his lap, playing with his hair.

"Very... American?" he chuckled.

"In another life we could be American" she shrugged. "You don't like it?" she asked.

"I do" he nodded.

"How about baby" she wiggled her eyebrows.

"I said that once during sex" he laughed.

"No baby?"

"I feel like Fred calls you babe and baby" he shrugged.

"Aw, is my baby is still jealous" she kissed his cheek.

"Am not."

"Are so" she smiled.

"Maybe a little" he rolled his eyes.

"Kiss me."

"Why?"

"You're asking why?"

"I'd kiss you every millisecond if I could but why-"

"So you'll realize you're the only one who can" she blushed.

Remus smiled before placing his lips on her.

It was a short kiss, he pulled back and looked her in the eyes.

After a couple of seconds, he kissed he again.

Holding her tightly to his body.

"Ok" she smiled. "Ok" she giggled.

"I just," he exhaled smiling, "you're so" he shrugged. "Ugh" he kissed her again.

"Thanks" Spencer smiled.

They stayed hugging each other for thirty minutes until Spencer fell asleep.

Remus smiled to himself as he heard her light snoring.

He carried her to their bedroom.

"Hey where are you going?" Spencer asked tiredly.

"Kitchen" he answered.

Spencer shook her head, petting the space behind her.

"You know you wanna" she smiled.

Remus smiled back before getting in bed with her.

"Sorry you had to carry me" she hugged him. "You could've woken me up" she said before a cough.

"I wanted to carry you" he said before placing his hand on her forehead.

"What does the doctor say?" she asked.

"No fever" he replied.

"Good" she said before going back to sleep.

────────────

"You know why, he sent my things to the Weasley's... anyway I'm sure he is also paying them or something" Spencer spoke to her grandfather.

"I literally own a hotel, you can come stay with me Marte" Remus heard from afar.
(Mars)

She sighed.

"Si quieres te puedo ir a visitar... realmente aprecio la oferta" she replied.
(If you want I can go visit you, I really appreciate the offer)

"But?" he asked.

"There's just a lot going on, okay? I'd rather be somewhere I know" she shrugged. "Anyway, it's not like my mother isn't going to see you."

"I'm sorry" he spoke after a few minutes of silence.

"Yeah, me too" she nodded. "But it's okay" she shrugged. "I'll just focus on getting a job and finding my own place" she nodded.

"Siempre tendrás un hogar conmigo."
(You'll always have a home with me)

"Te llamaré pronto" she replied.
(I'll call you later)

"Bye" he said.

Spencer hung up the phone and continued to stare out of her kitchen window.

"More like you'll always have a hotel with him" Remus chuckled as he walked in.

Spencer lightly laughed.

"You okay?" he asked.

"It just kind of settled in that I don't have a home" she shrugged.

"I don't think home is a place" he hugged her from behind. "You have Harry, the Weasley's, Severus, and Me" he kissed her head.

"No matter the place" he added.

Spencer placed her hands on his arms, smiling as he spoke.

"Thanks" she whispered.

"When are you leaving?" he asked.

"Want me gone already?" she chuckled.

"No, no," he laughed, "just want to know when I should start making dinner" he swayed.

"I can help" she spoke.

"I'm capable of making a meal by myself" he chuckled.

"I know, I know-"

"I just want to cook for you" he added.

"Ok then" she nodded. "It'll probably take an hour? So start at 5:30?"

Remus nodded, soon enough there was a knock on their door.

"It's 4:50 already?" she asked, looking at his watch.

"On the dot" Remus nodded.

Spencer sighed, Remus turned her around.

"You got this" he nodded.

"Yeah" she shrugged.

Remus kissed her forehead.

"Can you make cupcakes" she asked.

"Yeah" he nodded.

Spencer coughed into her elbow before chuckling.

"I'll see you later" she kissed his cheek before talking to the door.

She put her jacket on before wearing Remus hat.

As she opened the door a disappointed Snape came into view.

"Do you know how long I've been waiting here?"

"No?" she asked.

"30. seconds."

Spencer chuckled before coughing. "Sorry" she apologized.

"Are you getting sick?" he took a step back.

"Jeez. Relax" she closed the door behind her. "I'm okay" she nodded.

"Let's go" he walked away.

"Wait for me" she ran up to him, chuckling.

Spencer stopped laughing as his face didn't falter.

She'd known he would've tried to hide a smile.

"Sorry" she whispered.

"Why are you- don't apologize" he stopped walking, shaking his head.

"What's wrong?" she asked, looking back. "If you'd rather not go I'm sure-"

"No" he cut her off.

"So what's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong" he replied.

"We don't lie to each other" she looked to her side.

Snape just stared. "Nothing is wrong."

"I feel it" she shrugged.

"Is this the part where you call me by my first name then?"

Spencer rolled her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest.

"I don't know why you act like that" she shook her head.

"Like what."

"You're being mean."

"I'm always mean" he replied.

"You're acting like nobody cares. I care, Sev" she said sincerely.

Snape scoffed. "Sev... that's new" he replied.

Spencer quickly turned angry, her nails digging into her palm.

"What's wrong with you?"

"We're going to be late" he said before he started to walk.

Spencer stared at the empty space he left behind before closing her eyes.

She took a deep breath.

Finally she followed him.

This time, however, she walked behind him rather than beside him.

They floo'd to the ministry, waiting for Kingsley in silence.

Spencer rested her back against the wall, arms crossed.

"Water" a secretary handed her.

"Oh uhm- thanks" Spencer said taking the cup.

The woman smiled, still in place.

Spencer stared.

She awkwardly smiled before taking a sip.

"Refreshing" she said.

The lady left and Spencer put the cup down.

She coughed into her arm.

When Kingsley arrived Snape and him shared a look, Spencer noticed.

But didn't have the chance to think more of it since Kingsley spoke.

He said he'd be taking them to an interrogation room.

Spencer nodded and followed him.

She felt Snape stay in place, she looked back.

"You're not coming?" she asked.

He looked at Kingsley, then back at her.

He cleared his throat before walking to her.

Spencer noticed how many people were talking.

It was loud.

She sneezed.

"Bless you" Kingsley said.

"Thanks" she replied.

"Cold?"

"Yeah" she nodded.

People were walking with files in hand, others sitting down.

A woman was crying, a man restrained, a child sitting in a chair.

Spencer placed her hair behind her ears, then her hands went back to the position they were in.

Across her chest.

I'm pathetic, she thought.

She's hugging herself.

She looked back, feeling eyes on her.

2 aurors were staring.

She knew this because as she looked at them they quickly looked away.

She sighed before facing forward.

"This is a mistake I didn't do this" Spencer heard someone say.

She stopped walking, staring at the back of Kingsley's robe.

He stopped walking as well.

She felt the goosebumps on her skin.

Her breathing stopped.

"Call Albus Dumbledore, he'll tell you" they said.

Spencer turned around slowly, looking for the voice.

"Spencer" Addison smiled.

"Spencer, sweetie," she said as Spencer's arms slowly fell, "clear this up please" she nodded.

Just like earlier, she felt her nails dig crescent moons into her palm.

"You know I never did the things they're accusing me of" she pleaded.

Spencer just stood there.

"Shut it" the auror beside her said.

How long had he been there? she asked herself.

The auror led her away but Spencer still heard her.

"Spencer, don't lie. Don't lie" she said. "You know how much I cared for you" was the last thing she heard.

"Spencer..." Kingsley said from beside her.

"You knew" she whispered, staring at the spot Addison was in.

"You knew" she said in disbelief.

"Spencer" Kingsley spoke again.

"You knew" she faced Snape.

"You knew" she said angrily, smacking him across the face.

Suddenly it was quiet.

"Spencer!" Kingsley held her back, Aurors around the room stood up.

"Detain her" someone said, who? she didn't know.

All she could do was stare at Snape.

"That's a bit much isn't it" Kingsley replied, still holding her.

"He's bleeding" they replied.

"I'm not bleeding you imbecile" Snape wiped the blood off his face. "It's not my blood" he said.

Spencer looked down at her hands, her nails had done damage to her skin.

"And I'm not pressing charges" he replied in annoyance.

"C'mon Spence" Kingsley led her to an interrogation room.

She wasn't sure she was moving her legs.

But as she looked down they were.

Kingsley led her in, Snape right behind them.

She heard the door close and Kingsley spoke.

All she could do was stare at her hands.

"How could you do that?" she whispered.

"How could you- how could you do that to me" she looked at Snape.

"How could you," she punched his chest, "how could you do that" she felt Kingsley hold her.

"How could you" she tried pulling away. "How could you" she yelled.

"Spencer relax" Kingsley whispered into her ear, pulling her to the corner of the room.

Spencer tried to control her breathing, wiping her tears away.

Snape just stood there.

"You care now?" he asked.

"You bet your ass I don't" she replied through her teeth.

"Spencer-"

"Shut up Kingsley" she pushed herself off of him. "God" she said to herself, her palm on her forehead.

"Ah" she winced, her palm burning.

"I'll bring you something for that just... don't hurt him okay?" he spoke.

Spencer shook her head before looking at him.

"Please" he asked.

"Fine" she replied after a few moments.

Kingsley left, leaving the two of them alone.

Silence.

She stared at the floor, feeling his eyes on her.

And more silence.

Well she could hear her breathing.

But other than that, silence.

"Ok, give me your hands" Kingsley walked to her.

Spencer opened her hands, allowing Kingsley to see.

He put dittany on her, the wounds closing quickly.

"How'd you get that? You never told me what happened... all you said was knife" Kingsley asked as he saw the scar on Spencer's right palm.

"Ginny asked a question" she replied.

Kingsley nodded before cleaning her forehead.

"Get what you wanted?" she looked up at him.

"Yes" he answered honestly.

"Can I go then?"

"Spencer I'm-"

"You're not" she cut him off. "You did your job. Whatever" she shrugged. "So can I go or did my Professor end up pressing charges?" she asked.

"You are free to leave" he answered.

"Thanks" she said before walking out of the room. Snape followed her from behind.

They landed back in Dumbledore's office.

He stood in front of them.

"Spencer" Dumbledore spoke.

"Professor" she replied.

He didn't say anything else.

"Yeah" she walked away.

Snape took her home.

But as they walked, Spencer felt the tears want to spring free from her eyes.

She picked up the pace, speed walking to her room.

"Spencer" he spoke from behind her.

"Spencer!" he said once she began to run.

"Spencer wait" he ran toward her.

"Go away" she sniffled, opening her door and shutting it.

Snape however placed his hand in between.

"Go away!" she tried pushing his hand off.

He pushed the door open.

"Spencer you have to understand-"

"Understand what" she cut him off, walking into her living room. "Understand that you knew and you let it happen anyway?"

"Look at it from their point of view-"

"God I don't care about them! I care about your point of view. You were treating me like garbage all because of what? Because you knew-"

"I couldn't tell you-"

"You knew and knew I'd be like this? Well congratulations Professor, you want to act like nobody cares? Nobody. Cares"

"You know I couldn't tell you" he spoke.

"Why were you mean" she wiped her tears.

"Spencer-"

"Why were you mean you had no reason to be mean" she cut him off.

He sighed.

"Leave" she said after a few seconds of silence. "I need you to leave."

He turned around, walking to her door.

But he couldn't leave.

He turned back around, facing her.

But the words he wanted to say didn't come... so he left.

"What happened?" Remus asked from the door of their bedroom.

Spencer chuckled before she rested her forehead against the front door.

"Spence?" he walked closer.

She sniffled and wiped her tears.

"What can I do?" he asked.

Spencer shook her head before taking a step back.

She laughed shortly before she started to cry again.

"C'mon" he led her to the couch.

"It's okay" he whispered as she placed her head on his chest.

"It's okay" he repeated as his thumb drew lines on her arm.

"How could he do that" she shook her head.

Remus kept comforting her until she calmed down.

"What happened love?" Remus asked.

Spencer shook her head, rubbing her eyes with her palm.

"They didn't have any questions" she answered. "They wanted a reaction from me, Addison was there" she sniffled.

Remus' eyes widened.

"They knew about it" she added. "All of them" she rested her head on her hands, her elbows on her knees.

"W-why?" he asked.

"I don't know" she shrugged. "I didn't let Kingsley explain I just wanted to leave that place" she said before a cough.

"I'm sorry that happened to you."

She shook her head, "I don't even care about that."

She shook her head again, "he knew Remus. He knew and still... he went in knowing."

"Deep down Spence you know he couldn't-"

"Not now Remus," she stood up, "don't be the voice of reason right now... I get to be mad. I get to be mad right now."

"You do" he nodded. "You get to be angry."

"I don't know why he does that" she shook her head.

"Does what?"

"He knew all day... and he was mean to me" she wiped her tears. "I didn't do anything. Nothing. And he treated me like trash" she added. "He doesn't get to do that, why would... it's like he wants me to not care" she shook her head.

Remus sighed, deciding not to say what's on his mind.

"Say it" she said.

"No," he shook his head, "come here" he pointed his head to the empty spot beside him.

She sighed before sitting next to him.

He made her lay her head on his lap, allowing him to run his hand through her hair.

Spencer cried more, Remus stayed quiet.

"Ok... ok" she got off his lap 20 minutes later. "Hit me with it" she wiped her face clean.

Remus looked at her sadly before shaking his head.

"Why not?"

"You cannot see your reflection in boiling water. Likewise you cannot see the truth in the face of anger... when the water calms, clarity comes my love" he kissed her forehead.

"Who said that?"

"My mother" he answered.

"Why?"

Remus sighed. "When I got bitten my dad would... he would just be mad. We couldn't do this or that because of me. We'd move around but it never helped him. He'd try to "protect" me by keeping me inside the house all the time. I didn't have much contact with people... they'd notice the scars" he motioned to his scars. "As a kid I always thought he was mad at me."

"Was he?" she asked.

Remus shrugged.

"My mom would say no but I knew he was" he nodded. "The water never calmed for him" he added.

"Ever?"

"For a little" he shrugged. "Before the full moon... everything was normal for a bit but then it would come and the cycle would start over again."

"I'm sorry" she replied.

Remus shook his head, "I was able to attend Hogwarts... and I made friends. What more could a child want?"

"...a father."

Remus looked up at her.

"I'm sorry" he placed his hands on top of hers.

She shook her head, a small smile slowly forming.

"Thank you for telling me" she said.

Remus kissed her cheek.

"Take a shower, when you're done dinner will be ready" he spoke.

"Yeah" she nodded.

Remus got up and went into the kitchen.

Spencer walked to the bathroom, taking off her clothes.

She stared at her left hand, the watch on her wrist.

She coughed before getting into the shower, letting the water hit her body.

When she finished, as she stepped out of the bathroom, she could smell the food Remus was making.

"How are you feeling?" Remus asked as he stepped out of the kitchen.

"Fine" she replied, her arms on the towel that wrapped over her body. "I'll get dressed and then I'll join you."

Remus nodded before setting the table. She walked in and smiled at Remus lighting a candle.

"I'm ready" she said.

"Are you?"

She nodded.

"You get to be mad, love," he sat down, "at Dumbledore, at Severus, even at Kingsley... but you also have to think about the why" he shrugged. "You know he couldn't tell you."

"Yeah" she said sadly.

"And he shouldn't have treated you differently this morning even if he knew but..."

"But?"

"It would be easier if you were mad and stopped caring about him now" he said. "He's- he's not exactly close with anyone. It's new for him" he added.

"You've said your relationship is an enigma, I'd say this is one of those moments that makes your relationship difficult to understand."

Spencer stared at the table. "I never said that to you" she looked up at him.

Remus smiled and nodded before taking a bite of his dinner.

"Dumbledore talked to Minerva and I about it" he nodded.

"He's too stubborn to talk to me" she replied.

"Aren't you as well?"

"Yes" she chuckled.

"I assume it'll pass" he shrugged. "Give it a couple of days and it'll be back to normal."

"And if it doesn't?" she looked out the window.

"I think you both need each other."

"That didn't answer my question..."

"It will... eventually" he answered.

"Eventually" she nodded.

After dinner, Remus took a shower as Spencer did homework on the couch.

She'd been working until a knock on the door bothered her.

"Spence, you home?"

She stood up, walking and on her way to open the door.

"Harry" she smiled.

"He- oomph" he said as Spencer dragged him to her arms.

"Hey" she squeezed him.

"I- can't breathe"

"Sorry" she chuckled, letting him go. "I've had a shitty day" she shrugged.

"Everything ok? you look like you've been crying."

"Nothing ice cream can't fix" she smiled. "So what's up, are you okay?"

"Yeah just," he shrugged, "wanted to check up on you."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, you said you were going to classes but didn't" he looked awkwardly at the floor.

"Oh yeah just- just today," she nodded before a sneeze, "Snape told me not to."

"Bless you, Are you crying because of him then?"

"Partly, but nothing you should worry about" she smiled.

Harry was angry, she knew.

"I know how you feel about him but I'm okay, trust me" she held his shoulders.

He nodded.

"So who's in the shower?"

Spencer grinned, "that's information for me to enjoy and for you not to worry about."

"Gross" Harry said as he made a face.

"Then don't ask if you don't want to know" she chuckled. "I love you Jamie" she brought him in for a hug.

"You know, you've been calling me that a lot recently" he replied, rubbing her back.

"Yeah, I know" she shrugged. "You're still a baby" she added.

"I'm sure you'll keep calling me that when I'm in my 20s" he shook his head with a chuckle.

"Of course" she giggled pulling back, Harry smiling at her.

"I'll see you tomorrow?"

Spencer nodded before Harry left, then walked back to her room.

However, there was a knock that made her go back to the door.

She looked at Harry, confused, "Yeah?" she asked.

"I love you too" he smiled.
