They finally arrived at the amusement park. Shougo was buying tickets for three of them.
"Just like Koyoi and Asahi said, huh?" - Shougo thought to himself.
The chat several hours ago...
- "The top spot to bring your girlfriend on a date to is the Amusement Park where a fun-filled and exciting day is ensured with all the possible heart-racing events to occur. Whether to get your girl or to wow your girl, bring her there now! That is what the internet says, so Shougo! Get her to go to the Amusement Park!" Koyoi exclaimed.
- "Eh? Amusement park? That sounds like a fun idea." Asahi agreed.
- "Right? It's a date then, Shougo!" Koyoi declared with vigor. Shougo blushed.
- "A date...with Manaka-san.."
Back to reality...
- "She is the one who wants to go to the amusement park, though..." - Shougo muttered.
Shougo came back to them with three tickets. Outside the Amusement park, Laala, Yui and Shougo stood in line with everyone else who wanted to go in. The line was relatively long with about fifteen or more people in front of them and many more behind. It was close to noon now, so the sun shined brightly and shared its abundance of warmth to the people below who wished for a lovely, sunny day for their time in the Amusement park.
Shougo glanced around the area from where they stood in line, taking in the crowd of excited families or loving couples. The loving couples stood out and caught his attention. He nervously stepped closer to Laala.
"You are a nuisance, Yui..." - He sighed and thought.
Yui thought: "Sorry, Onii-chan... But, if you want to be his boyfriend, you have to make her happy..."
She silently wished the best for the two as she returned to her tasks at hand, letting the people in and waiting to be let in. Laala's face was a bit red when Shougo touched her hand.
Shougo turned his head from attraction to attraction with excitement burning in his eyes but stopped to give Laala concern. "Are you okay, Manaka-san? Your face seems flushed. Want to stop to rest first?"
Laala shook her head. "Mm, mm. I'm okay. We just got in, I don't need a break yet." - She smiled.
- "Then is there anything you want to ride, Yui?" - Laala asked.
- "Um... How about the Spinning Teacup?" - Yui suggested.
- "Alright! That sounds fun!" - Laala looked around for the amusement park's directory and took Yui and Shougo to it. Once she found where to go, she pulled them along again, Shougo quickly grabbed the amusement park's map that was provided at the directory before following along with a grin. Shougo loved Laala's enthusiasm and energy.
The Spinning Teacup attraction was quite crowded despite the time. They stood in line, waiting for their turn.
- "Yui, you like the Spinning Teacup, right? Your eyes seem to be bright when you mention it." - Laala asked.
- "Mm...No... That's Onii-chan's favorite one." - Yui stated.
- "Hey, no way, that's yours!" - Shougo disagreed.
Laala's smile was broad as she saw her friends' argument.
- "I'll be with you wherever we go! I promise!" - Shougo blushed at Laala's sincerity which reflected in the determination of her eyes. Yui gripped Laala's hands tightly and nodded.
-"Next, please enjoy the ride." Laala heard the usher call. Shougo's lips curved up.
Throughout the Spinning Teacup ride, Yui tried to change their direction many times while Shougo tried to be in control of the steering wheel before they both got motion sickness with the way the cup had to stop to turn clockwise then anti-clockwise after a few seconds. Laala was getting dizzy afterward which made them worry.
- "Ah...Mm...I wonder what attraction to go to next..." - Yui wondered.
- "Hey Yui, go buy some ice cream!"
- "Yume Wakatta!"
A few minutes later, Yui returned with three ice creams in her hands.
While eating the ice cream, Shougo couldn't get his eyes off his crush. Later, they enjoyed the Merry Go-round, the roller coaster (not Shougo, though, he was scared of the roller coaster), the swing ride, and the Haunted House then took a lot of pictures. It's almost 9 o'clock. Both Shougo and Laala were embarrassed looking at each other.
"As I thought, they are dream made for each other... Yumekawa..." - Yui thought.
- "Hey, Laala. What do you want to dream go on next?"
- "What?"
Yui looked at both of them, thought for a second, and said.
- "All right. We'll ride that next *She pointed at the Ferris Wheel* I want to dream ride alone this time. Laala, you dream ride with Onii-chan, 'kay?" - Yui winked at Shougo making his face flush.
- "Onii-chan, you dream have to make her happy, get it?" - Yui whispered to Shougo.
- "I get it... Thank you, Yui..."
But Yui didn't get on it at all. She came to Pripara as Nino and Miichiru expected her to come for a performance. She told Laala and Shougo before they got on the Ferris Wheel.
Up the Ferris Wheel, Laala sat opposite Shougo and did not jump around like how she usually would. She was just looking out the window seeing the moon and turned to see Shougo gazing softly at her, smiling warmly.
- "Shougo-san? Aren't you going to check out the sights?"
Shougo's smile curved higher. "I'm happy with what I'm seeing."
Laala blushed. "But I want to watch the scenery with you..." She mumbled. Shougo got up, which made the box shake a little, surprising Laala. "S-Shougo-san? If you move so suddenly..."
Shougo sat beside Laala and pointed to the window for Laala to turn back to. "Let's watch the scenery together." Laala smiled and looked.
- "Mmph."
- "Isn't this exciting?" she asked. "I've never been on a Ferris wheel before. I'm so happy!"
- "Alright," He said, holding up a hand. "I get it." His response was more clipped than he had wanted it to be, but she simply nodded.
Higher and higher the box went, the stars seeming to come closer. I glanced over at her from the corner of my eye, shocked to find her smiling at me.
- "What?" He asked as the box shook, stopping completely. Her teal eyes grew big and she blushed, turning to look at her hands that were folded in her lap.
- "N-nothing," she stuttered, sounding very unsure of herself.
- "Come on," He said, "tell me."
She unfolded and folded her hands before looking up at him and smiling. "Thank you for today," she told him. He was caught off guard, that for a moment, He couldn't think of a decent response.
- "I-It's nothing," Shougo managed after a while as the box started moving again.
As they ascended to the top, fireworks exploded behind the big wheel. Laala looked at them in awe. The big wheel was static while the people inside stared at them. The violet night sky looked so bright and beautiful. Laala felt a soft warmth on her hands.
Shougo bent down just like he did in Super Idol Time then kissed Laala's hand.
- "Manaka-san, did you like the fireworks?" Shougo's breath tickled Laala and sent a shiver through her body despite the warmth he was sharing in the small space of the Ferris Wheel's car.
Laala nodded. "I loved it. But... you can call me Laala." She blushed.
- "Then, Laala, will you do the honor to be my girlfriend?" - He took out a small glass jar of stardust (sand shaped like baby stars) and placed it on Laala's hand.
- "I... I accept...Thank you, Shougo-san!"
Out of the Ferris Wheel and a short walk under the amusement park's lamp lights, Shougo turned and pulled Laala into a tight embrace. "Shall we go get dinner?" Laala smiled broadly and he laughed.
- "Let's."
Back to reality...
- "Laala..." - He held the glass jar tightly and looked at the night sky.
"It's almost one year... Why didn't you trust me? Why did you lie to me? Please answer, Laala!" - He thought.
