Flora Kent's POV

Danial looked at me as if I've just seen him right now. Well, that was true because he was the one that did not want to keep any contact with me. I was not complaining but him asking me that question made me roll my eyes at him.

"Never better. You?" I asked him as I was looking at him. He sipped on the wine before he smirked at me.

"Well, some days are tough but some," he said as he looked at me, "are better than others," he smirked as he put the glass down.

I wanted to slap his smirk off his face right now.

I took a sip of my wine and I felt the bubbly and sweet taste of the wine. It was nice as I was looking around the restaurant. It was nice and I think I loved to hang around here.

Well, maybe not with my present company.

But you liked him and you wanted to make him yours, my dark mind said as I shoved that thought far away from me.

"Ah, here they are," he said as he looked at our food that just arrived. The waiter asked us if there was something else that we wanted but I guessed not much. We shook our heads before he went to serve someone else.

"So, do you have anything interesting to share with me?" He asked as he was forking his spaghetti into his mouth. I watched his full kissable lips talking but I don't know what he was saying.

"Flora?" He asked me before he chuckled at me. I was in a trace before I looked at him.

"Huh?"

"You're daydreaming. About me, I hope?" He said as he arched his eyebrow at me. I scoffed at him.

"Yeah right. And here I thought you were a gentleman," I said as I was spooning my food into my mouth. He chuckled.

"Well, I am but not when it comes to you," he said before we finished our food and Danial asked for the check. It was a nice dinner but I don't think I wanted to stay for another minute with this guy. I wanted to do something else.

Wait, what?!

Okay, maybe I was nervous if he picked on me about my manners when I was eating and I don't want him to think that I was a pig to chug down any food. I had been restraining myself for the food just now and I needed to keep it up until I was home.

But I also don't want him to go away. Damn, I was conflicted.

We went out of the restaurant as Danial took care of the check. We were walking to his car and he opened up the door for me.

"Do you want anything else? Gelato maybe?" He asked me as he was staring at me with his blue eyes. He was gorgeous, I told you. I smirked at him.

"Well, can you pay for my indulgence then, mister?" I asked him as I arched my eyebrow at him. He chuckled.

"You know I can,"

"Then bring me this gelato that you said yourself," I said as I went inside the car before he closed it. He was smirking as he went to his side before starting the ignition and drove off from the restaurant and going to the gelato place that he recommended.

"Now this is the next real thing," he said as we were sitting on the hood of his Lamborghini as we were on the highest point of Seattle. I liked the warm breeze when it was already Spring. I sighed as I was licking my chocolate mints.

"Well, I think it can be better. I mean, have you tasted the real one in Italy?" I asked him as I was looking at him. He laughed genuinely and my stomach flipped at that sound.

"Well, if I had the chance before, I would not say this is the best," he said as he looked at me. His eyes were twinkling. I smiled at him before I rested my face like a brat. I cannot let him know that he has that kind of power over my body.

"Now, do you have any other plan?" I asked him as I was biting my gelato before he sighed.

"I have a favor to ask you,"

"Oh? And here I thought you wanted to woo me, Summer," I said as I was smirking. He smirked as well.

"Among other things,"

"So, what do you need from me?" I asked him as he was looking at the view in front of us. The Seattle city lights were shining and I sighed with content.

"I need you to look into something. It was computer-related and thinking that you're the prodigy for this stuff, I think I wanted you to take a look at it," he said as he looked. I bit the last cone and I slammed my hands together.

"Well, I think I have some time left," I said as I looked at the watch. It was at 10 PM. I still got time to make for him.

"Really?"

"With an extra charge of course," I said as I went to the door to get inside his car. He laughed as he opened the door on his side.

"I would be disappointed if you did not ask," he said as we went inside the car before he started the engine and we went out of the cliff where we just stood.

I did not think that I would ever see Danial's house in a flash. It was modern alright but I did not think that he would live here alone. Where were his parents?

"Come on in," he said as he opened the door and he switched the lights on. I was impressed with the minimalist style that he had in the interior design of his house. I can see how he would spend his time here alone.

"Coffee?" He asked me as he shrugged off his coat and I think I drew a sharp breath before he turned to look at me for an answer.

"That would be great, thanks," I said as I shrugged my cardigan. I have worn the sundress but at night I wore a cardigan as well as it was still chilly even it was Spring already.

"All black?"

"No, can you put some creamer as well? Thanks," I said as I went to put my cardigan on the sofa next to me and I sat on it. I was looking around the house and it was the nice decor. I can see that he would likely bring his date here and maybe they did something else as well.

Stop it, I remind myself as I have no claim on this guy. We were friends, sure, but I never took the initiative to break out of that friendship and maybe be something more. We did kiss occasionally but it was for practice, as Danial put it.

"Here you go," Danial said as he was coming into the living room and carrying two mugs. One for me and one for him.

"Let me get the computer, it was here somewhere," he said as he put his mug down and he went into a room, I'm guessing study room as I saw the bookshelves and other stuff.

"Well, here it is," he said as he flopped himself next to me and he put the laptop on the coffee table. He was not aware that we were on the couch next to one another and I don't mind that either.

Huh?

I was looking at his expert hands as they were typing something into the computer as his eyebrows were knotted together. I chuckled at his serious face as he was not known for being serious.

"Why are you laughing?" He asked me as he turned to look at me, arching his eyebrow at me.

"Nothing," I said as I was clearing my throat. He rolled his eyes before he handed me the laptop. It has the coding screen and he showed me what was the problem.

"Oh, you forget to put the bug in here and some lines here as well," I said as I was typing some of the lines that he already has. How do you ask I know about this?

Well, let just say his thesis was also one of my successful ventures in the field.

"Well, I think it's done now," I said as I was handing the laptop to him. He looked at me bewildered as he did not just see me solving it in under one minute.

I told you I was that good.

He ran the program and it was not having any difficulty at all. I was smirking and proud of my genius in technology as I was looking at his amazed face.

I wished I could hold that forever.

"Wow, I never thought I say this but thank you, you're my savior," he said as he turned to look at me with a genuine smile. How do I know? I saw his dimples once when we first and not ever since.

This was the second time I saw it.

"Don't mention it," I said as I was waving my hand dismissively. He put the laptop down and I think he took my hand before he drew me into his arms. He kissed my lips and I was putting my hand on his chest.

After a long minute of kissing, I pulled away as his eyes were dark with something. Something that I don't know I can stir it inside himself.

"Flora?"

"Yes?" I replied as I was breathless as well.

"Stay for the night," he said as he was playing with my hair. He tucked it behind my ears as I was looking at him.

"I can't,"

"Why not?"

"My parents—"

"Can manage themselves. You're an adult and I don't want you to go," he said as he was nuzzling my neck, inhaling my scent.

"Okay," was the only response that I can give. He looked up to me as he blinked.

"Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded before he pulled me onto his lap.

"You don't know how happy I was," he whispered huskily as he pulled my head down and kissed me. It was a claim, a possession for dominance and I gave it to him.

I have been waiting for 5 years for this.

"Flora," he said as he looked at me.

"Take me," I said as I was breathless and my voice was whispered. He chuckled as he was tracing his thumbs on my lips.

"No regret?"

"Never with you, I have been for so long," I said as I kissed him this time as he strode toward his bedroom.

Well, the dangerous game was enticing until it happened.
